Our
people
have
the
right
to
be
protected,
against
assimilation,
forced
assimilation,
our
people
have
the
right
to
conserve
and
protect
the
environment,
and
that
which
is
natural
in
our
environment,
and
it
is
the
obligation
for
city
council
to
uphold
these
rights,
as
we
are
eloquently
expressing
to
you
on
the
weekly
basis,
the
importance
of
not
assimilating
us
into
a
system
that
we
do
not
belong
for.
We
have
a
government-to-government
relationship
and
we
would
like
each
city,
council
member
to
uphold
their
oath
to
support,
protect
and
defend
the
constitution.

they

important

they
do
support
the
brashear

which
is
an
incredibly
important
entity
within
south
pittsburgh,
for
the
work
that
they
do,

I
A
A
Saying
that
I
just
want
to
thank
the
administration
for
working
through
some
of
the
concerns
with
the
calibria
club
and
making
sure
that
they
are
able
to
access
the
mount
washington
site
and
the
rheem
rec
center
in
mount
washington.
It's
the
only
center
that
has
any
kind
of
on
any
city
facility
in
our
district,
all
the
other
ones
are
privately
owned
or
sponsored
or
supported
by
us.
A
This
is
actually
a
building
that
we
that
we
own
and
john
masalero
does
an
amazing
job,
taking
care
of
that
site
and
that
center.
So
I
just
want
to
thank
the
administration
for
working
with
all
of
them,
and
I
want
to
thank
the
senior
center
people
because
they
really
do
a
lot
to
help
our
seniors,
our
local
community,
making
sure
that
these
centers
and
facilities
are
real
places
of
welcoming
and
purpose
for
the
community.
A
So
I
just
want
to
thank
them,
and
with
that
said,
if
there's
no
further
discussion,
the
bills
are
not
ready
for
final
action.
A
A
I
J
I
just
wanted
to
reiterate
the
testimony
that
we
heard
from
jessica
smith,
perry
last
week
about
bill
1081
and
when
we
were
talking
about
how
effective
the
ra
has
been
at
moving
funds
that
we've
granted
to
them
to
people
in
need,
as
opposed
to
other
levels
of
government
which
have
been
really
slow
and
trying
or
not
been
able
to
move
money
at
all
or
move
them
like
a
federal
government
to
the
wrong
people
who
were
not
in
need
part
of
her
testimony
was
that
the
ura
had
been
able
to
assist
with
either
rent
or
mortgage
assistance,
1
000
households
in
the
last
year,
and
that
80
of
the
households
were
minority.
J
Households
in
a
full
70
of
the
households
were
female-headed
households
with
children,
and
it's
really
really
struck
me,
and
I
really
want
to
say
I
always
like
to
acknowledge
that
I've
been
pretty
hard
on
the
ra
over
the
years,
but
they've
done
a
really
fantastic
job
in
the
last
year
or
two,
and
I
I
want
to
just
thank
them
again
for
that
work
and
kind
of
a
reminder.
I've
been
repeating
those
numbers
in
some
of
the
community
meetings.
J
I've
attended
over
the
last
week
to
the
public
at
large
that
there
there
is,
especially
when
we
talk
about
a
housing
crisis,
we're
really
talking
about
our
children
losing
their
housing,
and
I
just
I
thought
that
those
that
testimony
beared
repeating
so
I
appreciate
it.
A
Seeing
no
other
members,
I
just
want
to
also
acknowledge
that
the
housing
opportunity
fund,
the
the
ura
and
all
of
us
working
together
and
with
the
having
a
mayor
with
making
sure
that
housing
is
as
a
priority
in
making
sure
that
these
issues
are
a
priority
towards
the
city,
sets
the
tone
and
sets
the
pace.
And
I
want
to
thank
him
for
hiring
diamante
walker,
who,
I
think
has
been
amazing
but
jessica,
smith.
Perry.
A
Also
amazing,
I
want
to
thank
councilman
lavelle
because
he
serves
on
on
the
ura,
but
I
I
think
that
having
sam
williamson
from
seiu
as
a
chairperson
has
been
really
beneficial
in
making
sure
that
we
don't
lose
sight
on
some
of
the
things
that
we
that
are,
should
be
our
top
priorities
in
the
city.
So
I
thank
everybody
for
their
work
and
their
rules
that
they
played
in
it,
but
especially
the
administration.
A
D
D
A
Council
will
will
meet
tomorrow
morning,
wednesday
february
3rd,
for
the
standing
committee
meetings
at
10
a.m,
chaired
by
councilman
lavelle
to
register
to
speak
for
tomorrow's
council
meeting
the
standing
committee
meeting
please
fill
out
the
sign
up
form
in
its
entirety
on
the
council
meeting
webpage
by
9
am
wednesday
morning.
You
may
also
register
to
speak
by
calling
the
city
clerk's
office
at.
C
Yes,
I
just
wanted
to
clarify
councilman
wilson's
committee
on
final
vote.
I
abstained
on
all
bills.
However,
I
just
wanted
to
abstain
on
the
historic
preservations.
So,
madam
clerk,
can
we
fix
that?
I
think
there
were
two.
I
We'll
just
make
a
note
we'll
note
it
for
the
record
that
he's
abstaining
on
both
of
those
historic
designation
as
it
relates
to
the
va
bills.
So
we'll
we'll
make
note
of
that.
C
And
one
more
thing:
if
I
could
you
know
through
this
latest
snowstorm,
I
thought
our
public
works.
Crews
did
a
fantastic
job,
they
were
out
late,
they
were
out
early,
we
were
putting
more
salt
down,
we
had
more
trucks,
fully
staffed,
wasn't
without
complaints
as
well.
You
know
as
well
as
typical,
but
but
you
know
the
improvements
in
working
with
jeff
cook,
our
supervisor
and
john
mcclory
in
the
administration.
C
A
J
So
I
am
also
revisiting
the
land
use
committee
and
I
apologize
I
kind
of
just
lost
my
place
when
we
were
going
through
so
many
bills,
but
I
am
uncomfortable
with
bill
0926,
which
is
the
development
of
transfer
rights.
We
heard
some
testimony
that
gave
me
concern
I'd
like
to
register
a
no
vote
on
bill
0926
in
the
land
use
committee,
but
so
an
eye
on
the
historic
preservation
bills.
J
Thank
you.
I
appreciate
it
and
madam
clerk,
if
I
may
also
I
was
clicking
around
and
trying
to
read
up
on
you
the
bills
in
your
committee,
the
papers
in
your
committee
that
we
read
and
received-
and
I
voted
yes
on.
Madame
president,
I'm
picking.
G
J
Guys
up
to
apologize,
I
can't
say
the
right
thing
so
and
the
new
papers
that
were
read
and
received
in
the
president's
committee
right,
so
the
bill
1130
communication
from
kevin
paulus,
director
of
office
of
management
and
budget
receiving
two
thousand
dollar
donation.
J
J
Procedurally,
that
was
a
received
paper.
It
just
does,
since
you
mentioned
it,
I
I
didn't
catch
it
myself,
but
after
you
mention
it,
I'm
I'm
I'm
confused
by
it.
H
Yes,
first
section
210
of
the
city
code
amounts
under
five
thousand
dollars
were
to
be
received
with
a
single
vote
amounts
actually
up
to
four
thousand
nine
hundred.
Ninety
nine
amounts,
five
thousand
and
over
go
through
the
entire
process,
and
I
guess
what
the
logic
was
is
that
smaller
donations
should
go
through
a
quicker
process,
so
they
could
be
received,
but
still
they
are
they're
passed
by
council
and
recorded
for.
H
Including
tax
purposes
for
the
organization,
as
well
as
a
record
to
to
know
who's
giving
to
the
city
and
who's
not.
J
That's
did
we
again
bill
urbanic
council
budget
director?
Did
you
do
you
recall?
Did
we
amend
those
amounts
sometime
in
the
last
five
years
or
so
to
be
bigger,
because
I
certainly
remember
us
having
like
the
discussion
at
the
table
on
smaller
amounts.
It
seems
like.
H
Yeah
we,
it
was
actually
the
only
amendment
that
I
remember
was
there.
We
had
five
thousand
dollars
there
twice,
so
it
got
amended
to
be
four
thousand
nine
hundred
and
ninety
not
up
to
four
thousand
nine
hundred
and
ninety
nine
dollars,
because
there
were
a
lot
of
five
thousand
dollar
donations.
So
five
thousand
is
that
trigger
for
it
to
to
be
voted
on
by
a
full
vote
of
pound.
So
we'll
go
through
the
normal
process.
J
I
see
I
mean
given
that
it
is
specifically
a
donation
to
the
police
department
of
public
safety
for
special
weapons
and
tactics.
Team
and
we've
talked
so
much
about
demilitarization
this
last
year
and
I
don't
fully
understand
the
purpose
of
the
donation.
I'll
also
change
my
vote
on
11
30.
To
now.
Madame
clerk.
