A
A
A
When
you
are
announced,
please
give
your
name
and
neighborhood
for
the
record.
Our
first
speaker
is
ikuhana
hao.
A
B
B
How
is
it
possible
for
someone
to
be
take
another's
life
to
murder,
multitudes
of
people
and
to
get
taken
into
custody
without
losing
their
own
life
when
during
temple,
traffic
stops
during
the
course
of
people's
traveling
to
and
from
they
themselves?
Having
committed?
No
crime
have
caused
no
one
any
bodily
harm
or
murdered.
B
B
A
Thank
you
that
does
exhaust
our
list.
C
A
D
Bill
1332
resolution
authorizing
the
mayor
and
director
of
the
office
of
management
and
budget
to
enter
into
an
agreement
with
first
national
insurance
agency
llc
for
insurance
brokerage
services
for
all
necessary
policy
types.
This
shall
be
a
no-cost
agreement
with
the
term
of
three
years
with
two
one-year
options
to
extend.
A
A
A
E
A
E
Second,
really
brief
discussion:
this
is
a
new
business,
that's
located
in
within
the
southside
works,
and
it
is
a
pet
service
emporium,
if
you
will
please
providing
the
entire
consortium
of
pet
related
services-
and
this
is
a
sign
they
wish
to
have
on
the
building,
which
has
gone
through
all
the
proper
channels
and
received
all
the
proper
approvals.
So
thank
you
for
your
support.
A
E
Second
again,
brief
discussion:
this
is
a
lighting
project
that
is
being
done
by
the
sausage
slopes,
neighborhood
association,
in
conjunction
with
a
number
of
different
agencies,
but
long
story
short.
This
is
the
18th
street
steps.
E
If
many
of
you
are
aware
of
them,
where
each
of
the
treads
are
lighted
with
a
a
lighting
rod
underneath
it
makes
it
actually
look
like
the
steps
are
floating
in
air,
and
it's
not
only
does
it
increase
the
safety
of
the
of
the
steps,
but
it
creates
this
wonderful
piece
of
public
art
at
the
same
time,
so
appreciate
your
support.
Thank
you.
A
Thank
you
any
further
discussion,
seeing
none
all
those
in
favor
say
aye
opposed.
It
was
recommended
first
new
paper
bill,
1297.
G
G
It's
been
decades
since
that
hillside
and
and
councilman
krauss
knows,
is
very
familiar
with
it
and
councilman
coghill,
because
they
also
represent
mount
washington
but
they're
very
familiar
about
the
with
the
issues
on
grandview
and
and
the
the
problems
it
creates
for
the
other
parts
of
mount
washington
and
I,
from
the
day
one
I've
asked
that
we
can
do
a
comprehensive
plan
for
mount
washington
because
we've
always
seemed
to
piecemeal
together
the
re,
the
solutions
for
mount
washington-
and
I
just
want
to
thank
the
administration
for
hearing
those
concerns,
hearing
those
suggestions
and
for
really
working
really
hard
to
address
the
concerns
on
greenview
and
director.
H
Sure
so
this
is
karina
rix,
I'm
the
director
of
the
department
of
mobility
and
infrastructure.
The
mount
washington
project
includes
three
areas
that
we're
looking
to
address
the
first
one
being
the
slope
between
mcardle,
roadway
and
grandview
avenue.
H
I
think
most
folks
who
travel
up
and
down
mount
washington
are
familiar
with
the
the
land
movement
that
is
sort
of
common
in
that
area
and
over
the
liberty
tunnel
sort
of
so
then,
between
arlington
and
council
macross
district
between
arlington
avenue
and
williams
street,
which
is
closed
presently
due
to
that
land
movement.
H
So
that
is
the
most
significant
area
of
concern
that
face
of
mount
washington.
We're
also
looking
to
do
remediation,
of
course,
you'll
remember.
In
2018
we
had
a
substantial
landslide
event
on
the
backside
of
mount
washington,
a
greenleaf
street
which
resulted
in
the
the
temporary
closure
of
route
19
there,
and
so
that
has
there's
a
temporary
mitigation
measure
in
place
right
now.
This
will
allow
us
to
do
the
permanent
improvement
in
that
area
and
then
the
third
frontage
that
we're
looking
at
for
this.
H
This
is
a
preemptive
or
emergency
management,
so
it
is
allowing
us
it's
a
very
unique
grant
that
allows
us
to
make
improvements
before
something
catastrophic
happens
on
our
slopes.
The
third
area,
then,
is
the
area
below
the
television
tower.
That's
at
the
top
of
mount
washington
sort
of
it's
a
very
steep
slope
that
extends
above
the
rail
corridor
and
then
and
then
all
the
way
up
to
that
very
steep
area.
H
There
is,
in
addition
to
this
there's
additional
resources
coming
from
the
regional
asset
district.
That
will
help
us
do
so.
All
of
those
improvements
are
related
to
slope
mitigation
and
slope,
stabilization
out
washington,
and
then
we
also
have
additional
resources
to
do
more,
aesthetic
improvements
associated
with
grandview
avenue
itself
and
as
part
of
the
regional
asset
district.
So
two
two
different
grants
that
we've
been
fortunate
enough
to
receive
for
that
area,
and
so.
G
I
also
want
to
add
that
you've
also
done
some
additional
work.
You've
been
working
on
the
pods,
which
is
on
the
section
of
grandview,
where
most
of
the
tourists
seem
to
gravitate
towards,
and
you
also
are.
We
are
also
working
on
the
parks,
the
emerald
view
park
master
plan
and
putting
grandview
in
as
a
park
street,
so
there
will
be
additional
resources
and
measures
that
we
can
take
to
make
that
area
safer
and
and
better
for
the
residents.
G
So
I
just
want
to
make
sure
people
realize
that
you're
working
on
several
parts
of
grandview
avenue
several
and
and
mount
washington
and
duke
nights
and
that
that
you've
been
doing
this
for
years
you've
been
working
on
it.
I
just
want
to
thank
you
for
your
work
and
I
thank
the
previous
directors
for
their
work,
because
I
mentioned
to
somebody
the
other
day
you
have
to
remember.
I
said
the
hill
start
side
was
coming
down.
I
said,
as
we
were
in
act
47
and
I
said
so.
G
Those
directors
had
to
piecemeal
together
a
lot
of
solutions
across
the
entire
city,
from
facilities
to
hillsides
to
road.
You
know
improvements,
so
I
just
want
to
thank
all
of
you
for
your
work,
but
I
really
am
anxious
to
get
this
part
done,
because
there's
a
lot
of
other
parts
of
mount
washington,
duquesne
heights,
I'd
like
to
focus
on
and
the
immediate
attention
is
greenview,
because
it's
it's
a
safety
concern.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
very
much
for
your
work
director.
I
know
you
continue
to
go
to
meetings
up
there.
H
Yeah
mcardle
roadway
expansion
dams
will
be
fixed
in
the
near
future.
I
know
that
has
been
another
area
of
concern
yet
through
a
different
funding
source
and
some
sidewalk
improvements
up
there
too.
Just
multiple
different
sources
so
but
you're
right,
there's,
there's
a
lot
of
need
that
needed
to
be
addressed
for
a
long
time,
and
so
we're
happy
to
be
able
to
get
on
top
of
that.
G
Thank
you
and
it's
difficult
to
track
it
all
in
the
budget,
because
it's
all
under
different
things,
some
of
it's
grand
funding,
some
state
and
federal
dollars.
So
I
know
there's
a
lot
of
money
coming
into
that
area.
I'd
like
to
see
us
complete
this,
so
we
can
start
working
on
other
things.
Thank
you.
E
You
know
far
too
often,
I
think
our
council
president
sells
herself
short
in
the
how
instrumental
she
is
in
in
advocating
for
her
district
and
to
make
these
changes
in
mount
washington
and
she's
relentless
in
in
pursuit
of
of
correcting
these
the
problems
that
have
existed
for
for
literally
for
decades,
and
so
I
just
think
it's
really
important
that
as
we
thank
everyone
that
has
been
so
instrumental
in
making
sure
these
things
get
done.
E
G
F
Yes,
I
also
wanted
to
reiterate
what
councilman
craft
said:
teresa's
been
very
instrumental
up
there.
I've
seen
the
changes
mount
washington
is
in
many
ways
like
a
second
home
to
me,
but
whether
it's
the
safety
precautions
on
granby
road,
the
the
outlooks,
the
sidewalk
really
nice
up
there
and
that's
important,
because
you
know
everybody
from
out
of
town
when
they
visit
pittsburgh.
I
think
it's
a
destination
spot,
but
I
did
have
a
a
question
for
director
rix.
F
F
H
Yeah,
I
do
so
we're
still
in
final
engineering,
for
the
actual,
so
the
the
three
slope
faces
are
in
different
phases
of
development
green
leaf,
just
because
it
was
such
a
such
a
profound
event.
Greenleaf
is
the
furthest
along
that
is
already
we've
already
completed
final
engineering
design
there.
We
were
just
waiting
for
resources
like
this
in
order
to
implement
those
improvements.
The
front
face,
as
I
call
it
the
front
face
of
mount
washington,
is
in
pr
we've
completed
preliminary
engineering
we
need
to
now.

I'm
sorry,
medical

aware
1300,
yes,
yeah!
Thank
you
yeah.
This
is
this
is
so
very
exciting.
Warrenton
wreck
center
is
integral
to
service
and
hilltop
communities.
It
sits
at
the
intersection
of
mount
washington
belt
super
in
allentown
and
it's
probably
one
of
our
most
used
facilities,
and
so
we're
really
really
excited
about
seeing
this
coming
and
improvements
being
made
to
warrenton

So
thank
you
very
much.

Since
1983.
J
A
J
So,
yes,
we're
still
working
on
it.
Actually
we
did,
we
didn't
do
anything
on
it,
so
we
need
to
get
back.
Give
me
give
me
four
weeks
motion
to
hold
four
weeks.
Second,.
A
Thank
you
say:
hi
hi,
any
opposed.
Okay,
I'll
call
you
right
back
all
right
that
does
exhaust
our
agenda.
For
today,
our
media
announcements
are
next
week.
Council
will
hold
our
regular
and
standing
committee
meetings
on
tuesday
and
wednesday
march
30th
and
march
31st
at
10
a.m.
To
register
to
speak
at
the
council
meetings.
Pl,
please
fill
out
the
sign
up
form
on
the
council
meeting
scheduled
webpage.
Registration
deadlines
are
9
a.m.
The
day
of
the
regular
and
standing
committee
meetings.
You
may
also
register
to
speak
by
calling
the
city
clerk's
office
at.
E
Yeah,
mr
chairman
yep
cosmic
coghill.
E
I
think
we're
a
week
away
from
maybe
doing
something
really
exciting.
Should
we
talk
about
it
a
little
bit.
E
So
next
thursday
april
1
we'll
be
officially
breaking
ground
on
the
public
works
force,
division
in
knoxville
and
it's
been,
it
has
been
quite
a
journey
to
say
the
least,
and
it
has
required
the
love
and
attention
of
many
many
people.
E
E
It's
been
a
it's
been
a
complicated
process,
but
I'm
glad
that
it
was
because
actually
we
have
a
much
much
better
campus
that
will
serve
all
the
south.
Pittsburgh
well
well
well
into
the
future.
So
it's
a
really
it's
a
pretty
darn
exciting
day
coming
up
and
I'm
happy
to
share
it
with
mayor
peduto
and
councilman
coghill
and
our
council
president
kale
smith.
So
councilman
you
want
to
talk
about
a
little
bit.
F
Absolutely
so
first,
I
I
do
want
to
thank
you
and
I
want
to
thank.
Madam
president.
You
know
my
first
week
in
office,
as
I
tell
many
people.
My
very
first
meeting
with
the
mayor
was
we
need
this
division
back,
you
know,
and
I'm
so
glad
we
you
know,
got
it.
It's
finally
come
to
fruition
because,
with
the
latest
snow
removal,
you
know
ups
and
downs
that
we've
had
in
the
district.
This
is
going
it's
going
to
go
a
long
way
into.
F
You
know,
remedy
remedying
that
to
have
our
trucks
in
our
garage
right
there
in
the
district,
and
you
know
I
thought
it
was
a
long
shot
at
first
and
you
know
when
I
came
out
of
the
office
with
the
mayor.
I
remember
talking
to
you
councilman
and
I
said
we're
getting
a
new
division
back
and
I
again
I
want
to
thank
the
mayor.
You
know
he
really
did
listen
to
me.
F
I
think
he
saw
what
we
saw,
that
you
know
it's
we're
going
to
need
this
division
and
really
glad
it's
kind
of
finally
coming
to
fruition
and
again
councilman
krauss.
You
know
your
the
the
work
that
you
did
on.
That
was
incredible
and
I
know
without
you
and,
madam
president,
you
know
I
didn't
really
have
a
prayer
getting
that
done.
So
I
know
working
behind
the
scenes,
whether
you
know
with
the
administration
or
working
with
like
forgive
me,
for
not
remembering
the
woman's
name
who
was
living
there
to.
F
So
so
yeah,
you
know
we're
really
excited
about
it.
The
neighborhood's
really
excited
about
it.
I
love
the
new
plan.
I
love
the
design,
it's
right
down
to
a
walking
path
that
goes
around
it.
It
creates
a
sense
of
security
for
the
neighborhood
and,
most
importantly,
better
service.
You
know
for
public
works
so
really.
F
E
Yeah,
it's
exciting,
it
is
it's.
I'm
sorry
metaphysics
just
one
thing
real
fast
it
it
goes
beyond
being
a
public
works
division,
it
becomes
a
campus
and
I
don't
think
we've
ever
done
anything
like
this
before,
but
it
sits
in
the
heart
of
a
residential
neighborhood.
I
mean
there
are
you
know,
residents
on
each
side
of
it
and
and
it
was
deliberate
to
make
it
appear
as
though
it
actually
does
fit.
We
need
to
share
the
plans,
let's.
E
Why
don't
we
do
that
in
an
email
and
share
it
with
members,
so
they
can
physically
see
what
it's
about
to
be,
but
yeah
it's
more
campus
than
a
than
a
public
works
division.
Madam
president,
thank
you.
G
Thank
you
and
I
just
want
to
say,
councilman
coghill,
I
think,
no
matter
who
is
by
your
side
that
division
would
have
been
built.
If
you
had
to
do
it
yourself,
because
your
drive
to
make
that
happen
has
been
tremendous.
It
was.
It
was
one
of
the
first
things
you
did
and
I
remember
we
went
and
met
with
the
mayor
and
we
were
hearing
that
it
was
not
going
to
happen,
but
one
meeting
with
the
three
of
us
together
with
the
mayor
and
they
agreed
to
it
immediately.
He
agreed
to
it
immediately.
G
So
I
do
want
to
thank
the
mayor
for
his
work
here.
His
work
in,
and
you
just
heard
three
several
bills
southwest
of
the
river,
and
you
don't
always
hear
us
dominating
an
agenda,
and
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
administration,
because
it
was
good
to
see
us
getting
a
lot
of
attention
on
our
side
of
town
and
and
we've
been
getting
a
lot
of
attention,
including
a
lot
of
capital
projects.
But
this
this
project
is
not
only
helpful
to
your
community.
G
It's
also
very
helpful
to
the
western
neighborhoods
during
the
snowstorms.
Our
crews
would
have
to
go
from
one
place
to
another
very
far
out
to
serve
the
entire
region,
and
it
was
unfair
to
expect
them
to
be
able
to
do
all
that
and
have
a
great
response
to
snow
removal
when
they
they
were
traveling
so
much
further.
So
I
think
this
will
improve
the
snow
removal
services
in
the
western
neighborhoods,
as
well
as
the
south
hills
and
south
hill
neighborhoods.
So
I
just
want
to
thank
you.
Both.
G
It
was
great
it's
great
working
on
a
project,
that's
going
to
benefit
the
entire
region,
and
it
was
great
working
with
it
with
the
two
of
you.
But
I
really
want
to
thank
the
administration
also
for
their
commitment
to
making
sure
things
are
getting
done
southwest
of
the
river
as
much
as
they
are
east
and
north
and
and
central.
The
city.
F
Yeah-
and
can
I
just
add,
mr
chair,
you
know
at
a
time
when
you
know
we
hear
about
morale
is
low
in
the
public
works
division.
I
find
that
morale
isn't
couldn't
be
higher
for
for
the
employees
who
are
applying
to
come
to
the
fourth
division.
F
Not
only
is
it
brand
new,
but
there's
a
sense
of
pride,
I
think
that's
coming
back
and
all
we
need
is
some
new
vehicles
for
them,
which
hopefully
will
come
to
the
table
and
get
soon
and
we'll
be
ready
to
go,
and
I
look
forward
to
next
winter,
and
I
can't
wait
to
you
know,
I
hope,
show
everybody
that
you
know
with
that
new
division.
It's
going
to
make
a
great
deal
of
difference
for
us
not.
