A
You
as
we
join
from
our
remote
locations
and
in
person,
please
rise
if
you're
able
for
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance
and
remain
standing
for
a
moment
of
silence
and
during
our
moment
of
silence,
please
keep
Lisa
trophy's
brother
Mike
choffee
in
your
in
your
thoughts,
I
pledge
of
allegiance
to
the
flag
of
the
United
States
of
America
and
to
the
Republic
for
which
to
stand.
One
nation
under
God
indivisible
with
liberty
and
justice
for
all.
A
C
A
A
I
can
just
say
when
I
first
got
involved
in
a
lot
of
the
domestic
violence
efforts
here
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
With
back,
then
it
was
councilman,
Burgess,
councilman,
Krauss,
councilman,
Lavelle
and
I
think
it
was
Wisconsin
Connor.
There
was
a
few
of
us
who
just
worked
on
it
and
on
domestic
violence
issues.
One
of
the
people
that
came
to
my
attention
was
the
D.A
and
his
efforts
to
I.
Don't
know
if
you
recall,
but
then
there
were
disruptive
properties.
A
A
Whereas,
let
me
just
say,
Steven's
D.A,
so
Paula's
son
and
my
cousin
have
a
child
together.
So
your
grandfather.
Now,
whereas
domestic
violence
awareness
month
was
launched,
Nationwide
in
October
1987
as
a
way
to
connect
and
unite
individuals,
organizations
and
organizations
working
on
domestic
violence
issues,
while
raising
awareness
for
those
issues
and
whereas
the
crime
of
domestic
violence
was
not
given
a
name
nor
recognized
as
a
national
problem.
A
Until
the
early
1970s
as
the
years
progressed,
domestic
violence
in
America's
American
society
began
to
be
seen
as
a
violent
criminal
act
in
violation
of
an
individual's
privacy,
dignity,
security
and
Humanity.
Today,
domestic
violence
is
acknowledged
as
soon
as
a
serious,
violent
crime
and
is
the
most
underreported
crime
in
America
and
whereas
more
than
80
calls
to
9-1-1
for
domestic
violence
or
received
each
day,
80
calls
each
day
and
those
are
the
people
reporting
an
elegantic
and
Allegheny
County
alone.
A
Calls
and
I'll,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
recognize
and
command
district
attorney,
Stephen,
zappala
Jr
and
the
domestic
violence
prosecution
unit
for
their
selfless
commitment
to
victims
of
domestic
violence
and
be
it
further
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Tuesday
October
25th
2022
to
be
district
attorney,
Stephen,
zappala,
Jr
day
demand
and
domestic
violence.
Prosecution
unity
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
can
I
have
a
motion
to
approve
in
a
second
all
in
favor
aye
proclamation's
approved.
Congratulations.
D
D
D
I'll,
never
forget
this
and
Lorraine
Bitner,
Who's
chief
counsel
to
the
Women's,
Center
and
shelter
pretty
big
deal
here
in
Pittsburgh,
and
she
said
who
are
you
nice
and
I
said
I'd
like
to
I'd
like
to
talk
to
you
about
becoming
district
attorney
that
was
25
years
ago,
and
she
said
we
got
a
lot
of
problems
here.
D
We
got
to
be
at
the
table,
we're
never
at
the
table
and
I
said
I'll
change
that
tomorrow
and
we
started
doing
business
a
long
time
ago,
and
we've
done
a
lot
of
wonderful
things
and
Theresa
made
reference
to
80
calls
a
day
for
domestic
violence
situations.
Now,
not
all
those
calls
are
criminal,
criminal
matters,
but
I
think
the
the
proposition
we
wanted
to
advance
to
the
public
immediately
was
that
people
are
not
statistics.
D
This
is
a
very
significant
issue
in
our
community.
If
there
is
nothing
about
Western
Pennsylvania,
that
is
special,
it
is
the
fact
that
family
is
so
important
to
us
and
when
the
family
breaks
down,
nothing
good
happens
in
a
community,
and
so
the
idea
was
to
keep
the
family
together
as
best
we
can
to
work
with
the
other
aspects
of
government,
and
there
are
so
many
agencies.
So
many
really
good
people
who
have
dedicated
their
lives
to
protecting
families,
to
protecting
children
or
to
protecting
women
against
violence.
D
I
want
to
commend
by
the
way
city,
council
and
the
Pittsburgh
Police
because
of
their
leadership
with
the
use
of
body
camps.
The
most
traumatic
event
in
somebody's
life,
typically
in
terms
of
victimization,
is
when
somebody
hurts
you,
when
your
significant
other
hurts
you
and
it's
really
difficult
for
those
persons
to
come
in
and
be
part
of
the
criminal
justice
process
thereafter
and
testify,
and
so
what
body
cams
do?
Is
they
they
memorialize
everything
that
happened?
D
So
you
can
remove
the
victim
from
the
criminal
justice
process
effectively,
but
you
can
still
take
care
of
her
and
I
think
I.
Think,
and
typically
it
is
a
woman
and
I
think
that
was
a
really
significant
matter.
D
This
gentleman
here,
Mike
Sullivan,
is
the
Deputy
district
attorney,
who
runs
the
Domestic
Violence
Section
to
his
left,
I'm,
going
to
make
sure
my
roster
changes
all
the
time
and
I
argue
with
County
Council
about
my
budget.
You
know
keeping
people
on
on
budget,
but
I
I
would
like
to
acknowledge
them.
D
Mike
Sullivan,
Chelsea
friend,
Nicole,
onda,
Alexa,
Roberts,
Emily,
Shanahan,
Lauren,
salka
and
Carol
fuger.
They
make
up
the
Domestic
Violence
Section
in
the
office
and
unfortunately,
these
guys
are
all
busy,
which
is
not
a
great
identifier
for
a
community,
but
believe
me,
these
guys
take
care
of
business
and
we've
done
some
things
in
Allegheny
County
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
that
have
been
replicated
on
a
regular
basis
throughout
Pennsylvania
and
we're
very,
very
proud
of
that.
D
D
Michelle
Bond
Crisis,
Center
North
I
mean
it's
just
everybody
became
organized.
It's
it's
a
it's!
A
it's
been
a
pleasure
to
work
with
everybody,
it's
a
very
sad
circumstance
typically,
but
we've
done
very
well
so
Madam
president
to
the
ladies
and
gentlemen
city
council.
Thank
you
very
much
for
this
recognition.
A
E
That's
the
only
thing
I
want
to
say
is
that
you
know
during
my
career
I've
had
the
opportunity
to
sit
on
Statewide
and
County
is
Statewide
committees
and
boards,
and
things
and
so
I've
met
a
lot
of
District
Attorneys
across
our
Commonwealth
and
I
can
say
honestly
and
truly
he's
the
best
Mr
zapella.
Thank
you
for
all
you've
done.
We
would
not
I've
been
here
for
20
years
and
I've
seen
everything
change
and
you
were
the
impetus
that
changed
the
lives
of
victims
in
this
community
forever,
and
we
thank
you.
Thank
you.
D
G
A
A
A
A
A
She
works
with
the
public.
She
works
a
lot
with
the
retirees
because
her
job
is
in
the
pension
office
and
you
know
sometimes
we
get
a
little
cantankerous.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
for
the
work
that
you've
done
with
such
an
amazing
grace
and
just
kindness
and
knowledge.
So
I
want
to
thank
you
for
the
work
that
you've
done
for
40
years
on
behalf
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh,
and
thank
you
for
hanging
in
there
with
us.
A
I
taught
myself
because
I
had
three
seven
I
can't
imagine
and
has
has
issued
timely
pension
checks
to
3
379
retirees
over
the
past
40
years
and
whereas,
in
addition
to
the,
in
addition,
she
was
instrumental
in
initializing
and
updating
the
computer
system,
co-authored
several
member
handbooks
initiated
and
assisted
with
the
pension
website
in
short
office.
Protocols
are
up
to
or
up
to
accounting
standards
and
streamlined
the
and
developed
disability
procedures
and
whereas
Valerie
married
a
fellow
Bloomfield
residence
Robert,
Scully
Sullivan
in
1996.
A
A
She
hopes
to
have
more
time
for
house
hunting,
reading,
cookbooks
and
walking
her
dog
buddy
and
now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
recognize
and
thank
Valerie
Sullivan
for
her
years
of
service
to
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
be
it
further
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Tuesday
October
25th
2022
to
be
Valerie
Sullivan
day
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
The
most.
A
A
H
I
just
want
to
thank
everybody
and
congratulate
you
and
for
really
public
service
is
kind
of
like
a
family
affair
right.
It's
really.
It
takes
you
a
lot
of
your
time
and
effort,
and
it's
you
give
us
part
of
your
kind
of
Life,
Energy
and
devotion,
and
so
I
want
I
appreciate
all
of
your
work
in
supporting
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
your
families
and
for
the
record
I.
Both
I
I
bought
my
first
house
in
Bloomfield
from
scats
Katina,
who
was
everybody's
realtor.
H
He
was
the
best
and
I
think
he
sold
my
house
as
well.
I.
Think
I've
referred
him
to
several
people
along
the
years,
so
I
really
appreciate
it
and
and
he's
the
reason
I
bought
my
first
house
in
Bloomfield.
So
it's
really.
It
was
really
important
to
me
in
my
life,
and
so
thank
you
again
to
to
your
for
your
service
and
to
your
family.
Thank
you.
Madam
president.
Okay.
A
C
G
Okay,
I'll
make
this
short
and
sweet.
Oh
I'm,
allowed
to
okay.
Honorable
council
president
Kel
Smith
members
of
council,
colleagues,
friends
and
family
I
am
honored
to
accept
this
Proclamation
today
really
meant
a
lot
to
me,
because
my
father
also
received
a
proclamation
I
actually
just
found
that
he
had
another
Proclamation
that
nobody
till
the
other
day.
So
he
had
two
and
I
do
present
my
proclamation
to
my
family
people.
Ask
me
all
the
time.
How
do
you
stay
in
the
same
job
for
four
years?
G
My
response
is
simple:
when
you
care
about
the
work
and
the
people
you
serve
along
with
working
aside
co-workers,
who
are
like
family,
then
the
years
fly
by
during
the
ups
and
downs
of
life,
I
could
always
rely
on
my
job
and
my
benefits
here
at
the
city
and
I've
never
taken
it
lightly.
I
would
like
to
thank
Municipal
the
municipal
pension
fund,
board
of
directors,
mayor
Gainey
controller
lamb
council
president
kill
Smith
John
sibbett,
who
I
have
served
with.
G
He
has
been
on
our
board
for
23
years
and
Mr
Mark
D
Pasquale,
a
special
thanks
to
our
solicitors,
Craig
freshman
and
James
South
I
would
like
to
thank
my
co-workers.
Linda
Oswald.
We
have
shared
37
years
together.
Josephine
de
Pasquale
worked
together,
23
years,
Lyndon
Josie
care
deeply
about
the
pensioners
and
the
employees,
and
we
made
a
good
team
together.
G
Moving
forward,
I
like
to
thank
Gino,
palmisina
I,
know
he's
familiar
here
in
Council
who
moves
into
my
position.
He
has
been
doing
a
fabulous
job,
look
forward
to
great
things
in
the
future,
from
Linda,
Gino
and
Josie,
and
I
would
also
like
to
thank
the
staffs
of
the
farm
police
pensions
for
their
support.
We've
always
worked
together.
G
Lastly,
I
want
to
thank
my
mom
Norma
Jean
skatina,
my
husband
Sully
and
my
wonderful
son
Bobby
for
and
all
of
my
best
friends
that
are
here
today.
You
all
play
a
part
in
my
success
and
I'm
going
to
enjoy
retirement
to
the
fullest.
Thank
you.
F
Right,
my
name
is
Rachel
Heisler
I'm,
the
deputy
City
controller
and
I,
just
I'm
speaking
on
behalf
of
controller
Liam
today,
and
just
want
to
congratulate
Val
on
her
well-earned
retirement
and
thank
her
for
decades
of
service
to
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
our
retirees.
Thank
you.
A
C
A
I
I
And
so
the
first
thing
I'm
going
to
do
is
read
the
proclamation
and
after
that
I'm
going
to
say
some.
Some
words
where
is
Dr
Robert
Edwards,
Robert,
G
Edwards
was
born
and
raised
in
Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania
after
graduating
from
it
doesn't
have
it
on
here,
but
from
Westinghouse
High
School
and
a
football
player
at
Westinghouse
after
graduating
from
the
Pittsburgh
public
school
system.
He
pursues
his
education
at
the
University
of
Pittsburgh
school
of
medicine
and
graduated
in
1975
and
where's
Dr
Edwards
opened
his
office
in
1982
in
his
community
on
Lincoln
Avenue.
I
He
continues
to
serve
this
community
and
beyond
for
over
four
decades.
His
focus
is
providing
Quality
Health
Care,
guiding
patients
to
achieve
their
full
potential
for
health
and
well-being
and
whereas
Dr
Edwards
has
received
Awards
and
recognitions
for
his
service.
His
compassion
and
dedication
causes
patients
to
feel
comfortable,
asking
him
questions
and
getting
truthful
answers.
He
is
one
of
Pittsburgh's
finest
doctors.
No,
he
is
Pittsburgh's
finest
doctor.
I
Some
patients
call
him
Dr,
Edwards,
Dr,
Rob,
Dr
moose
homage
to
his
beloved
team
at
Wilkins,
Westinghouse,
High,
School,
the
Bulldogs
or
Bobby,
and
whereas
Dr
Edwards
studies
and
teaches
God's
word
to
be
equipped
for
this
good
work,
which
gives
him
a
servant's
heart.
He
has
been
married
for
over
50
years
to
his
wife.
Actually,
who
works
with
him?
I
They
are
parents
of
two
grown
children
and
three
grandchildren,
and
whereas
Dr
Edwards
is
celebrating
40
years
as
a
physician
in
the
Lincoln
limited
llama
community
and
now,
therefore
be
resolved,
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
commend
Dr
Robert
Edwards
for
40
years
of
providing
Health,
Care
healing
and
comfort
to
the
Lincoln,
lemington
and
lumber
community
and
be
it
further
resolved
that
the
Council
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
hereby
declare
Tuesday
October
25th
2022
to
be
Dr.
Robert
G
Edwards
day
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh,
give.
I
So
let
me
say:
what's
not
on
this
paper:
Dr
Edwards
is
my
physician.
He
was
my
father's
physician.
My
father
died
at
92
and
was
selfish
fishing
up
until
the
last
year
of
his
life
and
Dr
Edward
took
care
of
him.
He
is
also
my
wife's
doctor
when
and
I
think
I'll
tell
this
story.
This
truth,
my
young
son.
I
But
what
I
remember
is
that
he
was
so
kind
to
her.
So
gentle
with
her,
you
know,
as
a
woman
when
you
have
injuries
in
places
that
are
supposed
you
know
specific
to
women,
it
makes
them
somewhat
afraid
and
shy,
and
he
was
just
so
kind
and
I
will
never
forget
his
work
with
my
wife
and
his
work
with
my
family
beside
the
fact
he
is
one
of
the
greatest
biblical
scholars
in
this
city
very
humbly,
very
quietly.
He
is
that
too.
I
J
Okay,
those
words
are
hard
to
follow,
but
I
I
would
like
to
recognize
the
council
and
council
president
and
City
of
Pittsburgh
I
like
to
acknowledge
you
for
this
award.
It's
very
appreciative.
J
The
practice
of
medicine
and
the
Lincoln
larmer
lemington
Community
is
something
that's
dear
to
my
heart.
J
I
just
appreciate
the
community
for
their
support.
I
I
must
divert
a
second
and
say
this
when
I
first
started,
I
had
an
open
house
and
you
know
I'm
a
youngster
I.
Have
this
open
house,
I
I
thought
I
promoted
it
well
and
I'll.
Never
forget
the
community,
embracing
me
to
the
extent
that
the
success
of
that
event
was
overwhelming.
J
J
It's
funny
I
thought
that
maybe
I
should
go
to
downtown
and
open
an
office,
maybe
in
the
heart
of
Oakland
and
open
an
office
and
I
think
I
would
have
been
successful,
but
for
some
reason
that
was
placed
for
me
and
I
never
turned
around
and
looked
back
so
to
the
community.
J
I
appreciate
you
and
to
the
council
and
to
my
esteemed
steamed,
council,
member
Burgess
friend
and
patient
I
say
thank
you
for
those
fine
words
and
I
will
say
this
that
my
office
staff
makes
me
what
I
am
in
part
in
the
bigger
part,
and
my
office
manager
is
actually
Edwards
she's,
my
wife
and
then
there's
my
dear
dear
Mrs
Lanier,
who
I
think
you
guys
and
gals
know
about
a
little
I'm
telling
you
I'm
telling
you
she's
just
come
in
and
made
such
an
impact
on
our
practice.
We
appreciate
that
then
there's
my
family.
J
My
brother
James
he's
older
than
me.
He
doesn't
look
it
but
he's
my
big
brother
and
then
there's
my
younger
sister
who's,
the
queen
of
the
family
and
always
has
been
Joan
par
and
I.
I
do
miss
that
my
parents
weren't
here
you
know
my
father.
My
father
challenged
me
when
I
got
into
medical
school.
He
just
pulled
me
aside
and
said:
are
you
going
to
make
it
or
not
and
that's
stuck
with,
and
it
gave
me
energy?
J
My
mother,
of
course,
was
always
kind
and
loving
and
supportive
when
we
miss
them
from
being.
Here
now
there
is,
there
are
two
other
people
here,
there's
first
of
all,
there's
three
other
people
here,
there's
first
of
all,
Mrs
Carol,
Lee
who's
been
a
friend
and
then
there's
Mr,
Burl
Moon
who's
been
a
friend.
They
represent
the
Bible
class,
which
we
have
been
participating
with
in
the
community.
Last
but
not
least,
there's
my
dear
niece
Marla.
J
K
Good
morning,
Madam
president
members
of
council
I
feel
like
I'm
at
home
again
and.
K
Just
want
to
say
thank
you,
for
you
know
allowing
us
to
be
here
today.
I'm
really
proud
and
happy
to
be
here:
Dr
Edwards,
Dr,
Rob,
he's
wonderful,
I
mean
I,
don't
know
how
much
I
could
say,
but
he
took
care
of
my
mom,
my
brothers.
He
took
care
of
my
family.
He
takes
care
of
me
and
now
that
I'm
at
his
office
helping
in
any
way
I
can
you
know
I,
really
appreciate
it.
Dr
Edwards
He's
a
he.
K
He
just
comforts
you,
you
know
and
I
I
look
at
the
way
he
talks
to
the
patients
and
how
he
deals
with
the
patients
and
there's
not
a
patient.
That
comes
out
of
his
exam
room
and
say:
oh
I,
just
love
Dr
Edwards.
You
know
you
can't
help
but
love
him
he's
just
a
caring
person.
You
know
and
I
just
want
to
say
you
know
in
my
community
the
Lincoln
lormer
Community.
You
know
you
look
around
and
you
see
all
the
vacant
property.
You
look
at
all
the
stores.
That's
closed.
K
K
You
know
not
only
is
my
doctor,
as
my
employer
and
my
friend
for
being
there
for
the
community,
because
you
know
I
see
so
many
elderly
people
that
are
so
grateful
that
they
don't
have
to
travel
to
Oakland
or
travel
to
the
North
side
or
go
way
far
out
to
get
to
the
doctor
and
their
doctor
is
right
there
in
that
community
and
to
me
that's
something
to
be
proud
of
and
to
be
thankful
for
and
I
thank
them,
and
thank
you
very
much.
Dr
Edwards.
K
A
A
L
A
Have
the
proclamation
to
be
run
into
the
record.
I
A
Approved,
thank
you,
madam
Clerk,
and
we'll
do
the

Council
during

A
The
request
of
councilman
Krauss
so
now
we'll
move
on
to
our
next
order
of
business,
which
is
public
comment
and
I
would
like
to
remind
everyone
that
the
rules
of
councils
state
that
matters
are
limited
to
concern.
Official
action
or
deliberation
which
are
or
maybe
before,
City
Council
threats
and
profanity
will
not
be
permitted.
Maybe
we
have
the
first
registered
speaker
and
the
first
registered
speaker
that
I
have
is
I,
don't
know
if
I
have
Dr
Miller.

I,
wonder
if
Steven

thinks
so
there
are
people
in
the
Allegheny
County
Jail
who
do
not
think
so.
They
know
exactly
where
Stephen

should
be
and
as
far
as
I'm
concerned
will
be
I'm

Concern
of

is

Intel
to
use

to

They
say
in

increase
Equity
by
getting

on

Are

Democratic

Is
this

No,
it
is
not.
It
is
anti-diversity.
It
is
a
lie.
M
No
Native
Americans
know
Latins
no
Asians.
It
is
a
lie
to
think
that
no
one
of
indigenous
Latin

needs
representation
on
this

Appointees

This
is
racist,
Miss
gross
you're,
a

in
this

event.
M
A
N
If
you
ever
want
to
Nuke
gentrify
a
neighborhood
mess
with
the
bus
routes,
take
away
the
bus
routes
reroute
the
bus
routes,
it's
been
several
years
since
I
worked
at
Mercy,
so
I
haven't
driven
through
the
Hill
district
and
I've
heard.
I've
heard
several
speak
here
about
the
lack
of
buses.
N
N
I,
don't
understand
how
this
is
not
being
filled.
The
Hill
House
Association
shut
down
everything
that
was
helping
the
disabled,
disabled
and
the
senior
and
and
the
underprivileged
up
in
the
Hill
district.
Again,
since
the
riots
and
the
Civic
Arena
this
time,
they're
targeting
the
seniors
solution,
I
love
mobile
units.
Do
you
know
what
you
can
do
to
a
school
bus?
You
can
put
a
family
of
five
and
travel
the
country.
We
need
a
mobile
until
they
secure
a
location.
N
N
They
have
lost
everything
you
want
to
see
a
I,
don't
know
if
I
have
enough
time.
True
story.
17,
18
years
ago
my
then
mother-in-law
lived
up
in
Harrison
Village.
They
had
a
public
hearing
with
the
Port
Authority,
whether
or
not
they
wanted
buses
to
come
from
downtown
Pittsburgh
to
the
Mills
comments
like
we
don't
want
those
people
coming
up
here.
Well,
look:
what
happened
to
the
Mills
nothing!
N
This
is
directly
targeting
that
population
you
go
up
and
you
see
the
beautiful
new
houses.
You
see,
Freedom
corner,
but
beyond
that
they
have
been
shoved
up
into
that
corner
and
they
need
help
and
we
need
to
step
in.
We
need
to
reach
into
the
county.
We
need
to
reach
into
the
city,
whoever
we
can
to
fill
in
the
gap
of
them
losing
everything
up
there,
because
this
just
we
can't
do
this
to
the
disabled
and
Senior
population.
N
Real
quick
I'll
speak
about
it
more
tomorrow.
Guess
what
happened
at
the
top
of
coast,
because
I
was
coming
in
a
big
rig
which
has
no
business
coming
up,
that
Steep
Hill
stopped
at
the
stop,
sign
and
lost
its
cargo
bricks.
P
My
name
is
Yvonne
and
brown
I
live
in
the
Hill
district.
I
live
at
715
Mercer
Street
citizens
I'm
a
little
upset
when
I
saw
who
he
is
given
sapala
the
proclamation
I
just
I
started
crying.
This
is
a
console.
I
mean
a
district
attorney.
My
son
was
led
to
die
five
white
cops
when
he
was
bleeding
from
his
head.
It
says
that
he
was.
P
He
looked
okay
because
he
is
saying
I'm,
so
thirsty,
I'm,
so
thirsty,
that's
something
he
was
saying
that
somebody
said
give
that
man,
some
water,
the
first
policeman
that
left
wrote
down
the
Anthony
was
sitting
up
drinking
water.
He
had
the
issue
of
blood
about
his
head.
Now,
when
my
son
was
on
the
floor
dying
and
saying,
I
have
one
lung
see
what
hurts
me
is
he
had
two.
He
knew
he
was
going
to
die
if
those
policemen
left
him
on
that
floor.
P
They
left
them
the
man
that
attacked
him,
because
that
was
my
son's
girlfriend.
He
walked
into
the
house
that
he
was
supposed
to
be
living
with
her
knocked
him
out.
He
was
blind
in
one
eye
when
he
said
man
I
live
here.
Knock
them
out
pick
them
up
and
hit
by
them
and
hit
by
them.
My
son
utterance,
they
say
utterance
is
the
last
word
when
they
saw
him
up
at
the
top
of
the
hill
up
at
the
top
of
the
steps
with
a
dog.
P
They
was
trying
to
talk
about
how
bad
that
house
was
wrecked.
He
come
down
the
steps,
got
on
the
third
step
and
said:
let
me
get
myself
together
then
he
said
he
got
the
best
of
me,
so
my
son
said
he
told
him
when
he
turned
his
head
that
he
got
knocked
out.
Do
you
understand
when
I
seen
sapela
today
and
I've
been
praying
I've
been.
P
Said
told
me:
he
shouldn't
have
been
the
district
attorney
again
because
you
know
what
happened
to
my
son,
the
head
of
the
emergency
room
at
West,
Penn,
Hospital,
told
me:
go
get
wet
because
there's
blood
around
your
sun
spleen.
There
goes
my
son
and
he
go
Anton
Juan's
mother.
This
is
a
sign
I
had
you
have
left,
let.
P
Make
them
the
victim
make
them
the
the
oh.
Please
help
me
God
and
miss
gross.
You
have
no
business
being
a
councilwoman
anytime.
I
can
sit
through
all
them
hours.
You
had
all
them
people
and
I'm
sitting
there
and
you
go
back
up
to
the
top.
I
didn't
get
home
till
five
o'clock
in
the
afternoon.
I
was
here
from
10
o'clock
in
the
morning
10
30
in
the
morning,
I'm
coming
cause
I'm
still
fighting
I'ma
keep
fighting,
but
just
need
to
realize
we
are
hurting.
The
city
is
hurting,
the

are
hurting.

Very
briefly,
I
just
want
to
reference
the
the
work
that
the
Oakland

does
and
the
importance
of
council
taking
the
action
to
renew
that
their

L
I
I
cannot
imagine
what
we
would
do
without
these
supplemental
kinds
of
services
that
Oakland
that
the

provides
at
the

provides
that
the

they're
they're,
just
invaluable
services
and
I
just
full-heartedly
offer
my
support
to
the
to
the
to
the
rest
or
the
re-upping
of
the
bid
in
Oakland
and
appreciate
the
support
of
colleagues
as
well.
Thank.
A
You
anything
else
remembers
I
just
want
to
say
as
a
person
who
was
born
and
raised
in
Oakland
I'm,
so
thankful
that
they
have
a
representative
like
you,
who's
bringing
who's,
not
only
supportive
of
the
groups
but
you're,
actually
bringing
millions
of
dollars
into
your
District
all
the
time.
So
thank.
L
B
A
O
A
A
L
L
And
I'd
like
to
start
by
thanking
members
for
their
kindness
and
generosity
and
supported
this
world
of
council,
whereas
protecting
transgender,
non-binary
and
intersex
persons
and
ensuring
that
they
are
able
to
live
free
of
fear
is
a
priority
here
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
whereas
transgender,
non-binary
and
intersex
persons
are
valuable
members
of
our
community,
all
of
whom
contribute
to
Pittsburgh's
vibrant
diversity
and
whereas
the
Trevor
Project
reports
that
every
day,
1920
lgbtq
young
people
attempt
suicide.
L
Trans
youth,
in
particular,
POC,
are
at
the
highest
risk
of
violence,
bullying,
depression,
self-harm
and
suicide
because
of
the
bigoted
climate
in
which
they
live,
and
whereas
these
radio
stations
have
the
ability
to
shape
and
influence
viewpoints
in
our
region
and
intentionally
allow
a
Despicable
advertisement
to
air
to
their
thousands
of
listeners
and
whereas
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
does
not
accept
radio
stations.
Defense
that
the
advertisement
is
not
an
endorsement
of
the
sponsor's
values
or
opinions.
A
L
Yeah
thanks
Madam
president
I
appreciate
your
time
and
attention
so
far
the
radio
stations
that
have
been
advertising
this
as
part
of
a
a
political
campaign.
If
you
will,
in
a
very
heated
political
environment
in
which
we
exist
today,
especially
this
close
to
an
election,
our
KDKA
wish
99,
7,
WDVE,
x105
and
wdsy
I
do
believe
some
have
pulled
and
I'm
sorry
I,
don't
know
which
ones
have
and
I
apologize
if
they
have
pulled
and
I've
referenced
you
but
I'd
like
to
ask
the
clerk.
If
we
could
please
send
that
communication.
L
This
will
of
counsel
to
KDKA
to
wish
99.7
WDVE,
x105
and
wdsy
as
to
as
well
as
to
the
mayor's
lgbtqia
positive
commission,
who
have
really
taken
a
very
strong
leadership,
a
role
in
denouncing
this
transphobic
hate
speech,
and
that
we
support
the
mayor's
lgbtqia
plus
commission
in
their
efforts
and
that
city
council
stands
with
them
in
their
attempt
to
to
stop
all
forms
of
damaging
hateful
hate
speech
that
targets
transgender,
non-binary
and
intersex
persons
that
are
valuable
members
of
Pittsburgh's
community.
A
I
just
want
to
thank
you,
councilman
cross,
for
for
getting
this
together
so
quickly.
We
received
an
email
yesterday
from
the
mayor's
commission
and
I.
Do
want
to
thank
Ricky
Moody
from
our
office,
the
mental
health,
and
what
is
your
position
yeah.
L
A
Mental
health,
but
he's
been
doing
a
lot
in
this
area,
he's
actually
been
working
with
the
commission
and
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
him
for
his
work
and
I
think
he
was
ready
to
stand
by
to
help
counsel,
but
I'm
glad
that
you,
you
were
able
to
get
something
together.
So.
A
L
Know-
and
we've
talked
about
this
so
many
times
you
and
I
you
know
and
that
the
you
know
the
the
the
the
the
weakest.
L
If
you
will
I,
don't
know
if
that's
the
proper
word
among
us
or
are
the
ones
that
are
so
easily
targeted
as
the
demons
you
know
and
and
everything
that's
wrong
with
the
world
instead
of
people
in
positions
of
power
and
authority
actually
taking
under
their
care
unbelievably
complicated
and
complex
issues
that
face
all
of
us
in
terms
of
you
know
our
future
and
you
know,
and
global
warming
and
and
Taxation,
and
you
know
and
and
you
know,
Global
pandemic
and
everything,
but
it's
so
much
easier
to
just
bully
the
weakest
Among
Us
and
pretend
that
somehow
they
are
they're
the
cause
of
all
the
ills
of
society
and
I'm
calling
BS
on
it.
A
Thank
you
thank
you
and
I
do
think.
I
would
just
want
to
say,
I
think
that
it's
not
okay,
no
matter
who's,
doing
it,
and
and
so,
whether
it's
political
or
not,
political
or
whatever,
whether
it's
Democrat,
Republican,
independent
I,
don't
care
who's
doing
it.
Bullying
people
is
not
okay
and
we've
got
to
start
speaking
up
a
little
bit
about
it.
It
is
not
okay
to
continue
with
this,
this
just
anger
towards
people
and
when
you
do
it
to
a
group,
that's
really
suffering
and
struggling
already.
I
mean
I.
A
L
It
and
you
can
imagine
Madam,
president,
that
they're
far
reach
of
these
five
radio
stations
and
the
kind
of
constituencies
that
tune
into
them
every
day
and
hear
this
April
rhetoric
and
hate
speech
repeated
again
and
again
and
again
as
though
it's
somehow
now
acceptable
in
society,
and
it
just
simply
isn't
so.
Thank
you.
We
had
a
great
conversation
about
this
last
night
and
I
appreciate
your
assistance
in.
A
This
thank
you.
Thank
you.
Everyone
anything
remembers
with
that
said.
Can
I
have
a
motion.
Let
me
do
my
final
meeting
announcements.
I
forgot
this
afternoon
at
1
pm,
Public,
Safety
and
Homeland
Security
will
hold
an
active
shooter
and
emergency
evacuation
plan,
training
in
city
council
chambers
for
members
and
staff.
We're
all
asked
to
be
to
be
here
for
that.
A
I
want
to
thank
John,
our
Sergeant
arms
and
Ira
for
working
so
well
with
our
public
safety
director
and
others
to
get
this
up
and
running,
and
our
clerk's
office
and
Ricky
and
others
there's
a
few
others
on
there.
Tomorrow,

A

is
there
anything
else
for
members
can
I?
Have
a
motion
can
I
just
say
from
the
rules
committee
meet
briefly
councilman?
Can
you
cheer
and
just
briefly,
because
we
want
to
get
their
rules
together,
so
we're
in
compliance
here?
Can
we
have
a
motion
to
excuse
the
absent
member
approve
the
medicine
adjourn,
the
meeting.
