Mayor William Peduto and the City of Pittsburgh today named Kim Osterman of the Office of Management & Budget as the February recipient "of the Sophie Masloff Award" for Employee of the Month.

Good to see you the pleasure of working with Kim forever, even though how many years a long time and it's my honor to bestow upon her our February Employee of the Month.

B

I can honestly say this: it's not only her professionalism and the way that she takes her job to the highest level.

B

But it's the person that she is in the kind heart that she is that makes working with Kim such a pleasure, whereas Kim Osterman began working with the city of Pittsburgh on December, 14, 1998 and whereas Kim is the hub of the Office of Management and Budget in manages day-to-day operations by assisting with scheduling, maintaining positive relationships with the other departments and bureaus keeping the workspace clean and functional tracking down useful information in our highly organized files, reminding colleagues to complete imperative tasks in a timely manner in all ways offering new ideas about the city's operating and capital budgets.

And whereas Kim also supports several critical processes for the equipment, leasing, Authority, ensuring that the city can successfully purchase new vehicles such as police cars, ambulances and garbage trucks to better serve its constituents.

And whereas Kim cares deeply about her colleagues and always takes time out of a busy day to share a meaningful conversation and ask about children, pets and vacations.

B

And whereas Kim is a generous person, it is known for sharing recipes news articles, expert tips about Disneyworld baked, treats from party cake in Brookline and will even bring in her famous kielbasa dip for an office event, if you ask nicely, and whereas the Office of Management and Budget and the mayor's office truly respect and appreciate all the Kim does behind the scenes to help the city of Pittsburgh run smoothly. Now, therefore, be it resolved that I William Peduto mayor the city of Pittsburgh.

Do you thank him for her dedication and service to the people of Pittsburgh, declaring her the February 2018 mayor, Sophie, masloff Employee of the Month in declaring Wednesday February 28th 2018 Kim, Osterman Day.

You were recommended Kim by your director director / city, to receive the award, and you can present.

So, first mayor, thank you so much for initiating this program, because there are so many well deserving employees of the city of Pittsburgh of this award. But Kim is particularly special to us. She is an amazing co-worker and an amazing friend to all of us. We, our office, wasn't home without you. So thank you for all of your dedication and all of your hard work and we're very grateful to have you so Thank You Kim.

I was just like the second everything that jen has said and Mayor Kim's an invaluable part of our team and, like I, said every day, there's something that we get past for what happened about this in like 2005 or where do we get this information and she can not only produce that but helps us do our job, but I think the other great thing is having somebody like Kim in our office really understands how everything works together, because we work with all departments and authorities and she's one that helps us, connect the dots, especially when we have a lot of new folks in our team as well.

Overwhelmed I do have a lot of friends in this room and I appreciate every one of you and I love working for the city and I love working with all of you and you're. What makes the city special and probably enough, people don't realize that, but thank you.
