A
A
Good
morning,
everyone
and
welcome
to
the
August
2023
standing
meeting
of
the
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
in
Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania.
Obviously
my
name
is
Lori
Beth
Jones,
my
pronouns.
Are
she
Hearst
and
I
am
just
a
resident
of
the
city
of
Pittsburgh
and
the
co-chair
of
the
clean
Pittsburgh
commission.
A
We
are
going
to
go
ahead
and
get
this
meeting
started.
We
are
recording
today,
but
we
are
not
live
streaming
due
to
some
Renovations
that
are
taking
place
in
the
the
technology
and
and
office
with
David
and
everyone
who
usually
helps
us
do
that
in
real
time,
so
I'm
sure
they'll
be
taking
care
of
that
as
soon
as
they
are
able
so
hello
to
the
YouTube
in
the
later
World.
A
B
C
Hello,
Debbie
Steinberg
sister
at
Carnegie,
Mellon
University
I,
am
the
university
representative
and
Tobias.
You
are
next
on
my
screen.
D
E
A
C
Good
morning
everybody
Aaron
Tobin,
contrary
to
what
it
says.
I
am
a
resident.
F
C
G
Good
morning
my
name
is
Joshua
schunaman
I'm,
the
collection
events
manager
at
Pennsylvania,
Resources,
Council
I'm,
also
a
Northside
resident
in
Spring
Hill
as
well.
It's
a
very
nice
neighborhood
that
comes
very
clean
and
has
some
very
nice
parks
in
it
and
my
pronouns
are
he
they
and
I
will
send
it
over
to
Sarah
Alessio.
H
Hi
everybody
I'm
Sarah
Shay
I'm,
deputy

of
Pennsylvania

pronouns.
She
her
yeah
thoughts
about
it,
I've
been
on
the
I'm
currently
also
working
in
tandem
with
Afton,
as
like
Co
Treasurer
Financial,
trying
to
figure
it
out
as
we
kind
of
move
along
in
the
CPC
so
nice
to.
H
F
Kelsey
hi
everyone
good
morning,
Kelsey
Ripper
executive
director
at
Friends
of
the
riverfront
in
Lawrenceville
resident
pronouns.
Are
she
her.
A
Good
job,
everybody.
Thank
you
so
much.
We
do
have
a
quorum
for
purposes
of
voting
and
making
financial
decisions
today.
So
that
is
good
to
have
and
honestly,
probably
something
that
we
should
State
out
loud
in
future
meetings,
but
I
never
thought
of
it
until
right
now,
good
deal
so
I'm
gonna
share
my
screen
with
our
meeting
agenda
for
today,
which
I
think
is
all
we
have
for
group
review
at
this
time.
I
think
we
don't
yet
have
some
minutes.
A
Oh
wait,
I'm
skipping
ahead,
I'm
gonna
leave
that
up
there
you
can
read
and
listen
at
the
same
time
to
the
doset
tones
of
a
part
of
our
mission
statement
for
the
clean
Pittsburgh
Commission,
and
this
is
actually
from
our
values
statement.
So
one
of
our
initial
values
is
community.
The
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
values
Community
engagement
and
believes
that
the
best
approach
to
Neighborhood
Improvement
is
always
directed
by
the
people.
In
that
neighborhood.
A
The
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
acknowledges
its
Partnerships
with
individuals,
businesses,
organizations,
schools
and
the
City
of
Pittsburgh
is
essential
to
address.
Community
needs
further
underlining
it's
held
value
for
Community.
The
commission
expands
capacity
and
imaginative
and
collaborative
ways.
The
commission
recognizes
that
making
expectations
and
vulnerabilities
transparent,
creates
opportunities
for
Clear
communication
and
more
thoughtful
implementation
of
programming.
The
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
is
capable
of
thoughtful
deliberation
within
the
structure
of
meetings,
but
does
not
limit
its
functions
to
discussions.
Only
commission
members,
Implement
programs
through
participation
and
embrace
getting
dirty.
A
E
Hi
I
just
had
a
quick
question.
If
you
wanted
to
finish
your
sentence,
I
can
ask
it
later
or
should
I
just.
E
Your
hood,
unfortunately
I,
do
have
to
head
out
a
little
earlier
today
at
11
30,
but
I
did
want
to
just
go
as
an
update,
just
because
I
am
leaving
my
current
position
and
I
was
wondering
if
there
was
any
chance,
we
could
squeeze
me
in
before
11..
Yes,.
A
Let's
you
know,
as
I
was
just
saying,
Erica's
not
able
to
be
with
us
today.
So
let's
just
put
you
next
after
we
approve
the
agenda
so
that
you
can
discuss
your
future.
Make
moves.
A
That's
fine
I
mean
I,
knew
Erica
wasn't
here,
but
I
didn't
know
that
you
had
to
go.
So.
Thank
you.
So
much
also,
if
I
don't
call
on
a
raised
hand
before
it
automatically
goes
away.
Sometimes
I
forget.
So
that's
on
me
not
on
anybody
else.
A
If
I
could
please
so
we
will
hear
from
Giselle
and
we'll
go
over
the
minutes,
review
and
approval
for
a
couple
months
with
Erica
at
our
next
meeting
and
then
with
that
change.
Could
I
have
anyone
moved
to
approve
the
agenda
so
that
we
can
move
forward.
B
A
To
approve
I'll,
second,
that
thank
you
so
much
Chris,
pretty
basic
one
today,
so
without
further
Ado
I
would
like
to
welcome
to
this
stage.
Everybody
give
it
up
and
make
some
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
noise
for
Giselle.
E
E
I
do
want
to
let
you
know
that
effective
this
Friday
I'm
transitioning
into
my
new
position
in
OMB,
which
will
be
for
cdcbg
Block
Grants,
so
I'll
be
a
program
coordinator
over
there.
I
do
know
that
there
might
be
some
tie-ins
I,
don't
know
how,
but
if
there
is
I'm
still
around
in
the
city,
you'll
still
be
able
to
contact
me,
there's
still
very
much
I'm
just
around
the
corner.
Additionally,
I
have
been
told
that
I
am
able
to
stay
in
my
position
on
the
clean
Pittsburgh
Commission.
E
However,
I
did
want
to
make
everybody
aware
that,
with
the
remainder
of
August,
it
might
be
a
little
bit
tight,
but
I'm
still
helping
with
the
garbage
Olympics
I'm
still
able
to
help
in
that
aspect,
as
I
try
to
figure
out
what
this
transition
looks
like
and
what
that
might
mean
for
my
role
in
the
clean
Pittsburgh
Mission
I.
E
Just
wanted
to
be
upfront
and
let
you
guys
know
what
that
situation
is,
but
I
am
currently
still
allowed
to
be
part
of
the
clean
Pittsburgh
commission,
so
I
think
we're
good
to
go,
but
I
just
wanted
to
give
you
guys
a
heads
up
just
in
case
and
thank
you
for
all
of
your
patience
with
me,
because
I
have
been
working
a
little
bit
overtime,
trying
to
make
sure
that
everything
is
ready
for
my
time
out
of
this
position,
but
hopefully,
in
this
new
position,
I
have
a
lot
more
time
and
flexibility
to
pursue
and
re-
reaffirm,
reaffirm
my
relationship,
make
our
relationship
stronger
for
the
clean
Pittsburgh
commission.
E
So
thank
you
again
and
I
really
appreciate
this
really
quick
update
that
I
wanted
to
provide.
A
Thank
you
so
much
Giselle.
We're
glad
we're
glad
to
to
keep
you
fruit
till
further
notice
and
congratulations
and
we
look
forward
to
seeing
in
our
neighborhoods
all
the
good
work
here.
Canada
City
busy.
A
Drum
roll,
please,
we
have
a
special
guest
speaker
today,
editor
meeting
and
we're
so
glad
to
welcome
to
Environmental
Services
to
be
a
rather
I
hope,
I'm
saying
that
correctly
and
we're
very
glad
to
have
you
and
please
the
floor
is
yours
to
talk
to
us
about
the
upcoming
bag
ban
Etc.
D
Thanks
Lori
yeah
I'm
happy
to
be
here
as
well.
I'll
give
Chris
asked
me
to
just
to
give
a
quick
overview
of
plastic
by
band
and
the
work
that
I've
been
doing
so
far
and
what's
to
come
and
I'll
introduce
myself
a
bit
as
well
so
I
yeah
grew
up
in
Pittsburgh,
went
to
school
here,
moved
down
to
Florida
and
did
similar
work
in
Tallahassee
working
for
a
County
Office
of
sustainability,
I'm
doing
similar
initiatives
around
plastic
waste
reduction
as
well
as
overseeing
other.
You
know.
D
Public
events
in
the
community
moved
back
to
Pittsburgh
in
2021
and
worked
as
a
policy
analyst
in
Domi
for
18
months
on
a
grant,
funded
position
and
then
yeah
recently,
I
guess
end
of
June
started
in
this
position
and
excited
to
be
overseeing
the
implementation
of
the
plastic
bag
ban.
This
fall
yeah.
D
So
so
far,
it's
been
a
little
bit
drinking
from
the
fire
hose
just
getting
a
better
understanding
of
you
know
some
of
the
the
efforts
in
Coalition
building
that
went
into
even
getting
this
ordinance
passed
cool
to
see
that
a
lot
of
members
of
this
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
were
part
of
that
and
part
of
pushing
towards
getting
this
back
band
in
place
and
despite
some
delays,
excited
that
it's
going
to
be
going
into
effect
in
the
fall.
D
Then
so
far,
some
of
the
things
that
we've
developed
are
a
website
which
I
don't
know
that
there's
a
chat
option
here,
but
the
website
can
be
found
just
by
looking
up
City
of
Pittsburgh
plastic
bag
ban.
D
So
so
far
we
have
a
bit
of
basic
information
on
a
bag
band
up
there,
as
well
as
to
General
over
overarching
resources
and
by
the
end
of
this
week
we'll
have
it
updated
with
more
details
on
the
ban
itself
and
FAQ
for
both
businesses
and
residents,
as
well
as
a
number
of
resources,
particularly
for
for
businesses
to
post
signage
about
the
ban
find
yep.
Thank
you
Lori
for
adding
that
there.
D
So
this
will
be
updated
here
shortly,
but
gives
a
brief
overview
for
now
and
then,
if
you
scroll
down
to
the
bottom,
I
encourage
you
guys
to
check
out
both
of
those
resources
for
now
both
were
mandated
by
the
bill.
But
one
is
a
public
education
plan
for
the
efforts
year
and
then
a
bag
sharing
pilot
program
which
I'll
talk
about
a
little
bit
as
well
so
yeah
as
I
was
saying
a
number
of
resources
for
businesses,
signage,
a
list
of
vendors
where
they
can
find
both
paper
bags
and
reusable
bags.
D
If,
if
they're
looking
to
add
those
to
the
stores
and
then
eventually
we'll
add
things
like
an
opportunity
for
residents
to
submit
301
requests
for
businesses
that
might
not
be
in
compliance
potentially
a
place
to
promote
other
events
related
to
litter
or
plastic
reduction,
as
well,
also
looking
for
other
opportunities
there.
D
More
specific
questions
from
businesses,
which
is
already
starting
to
highlight
some
of
the
exciting
excitement
and
challenges
that
we
might
face
with
this
one,
is
that
some
big
businesses
seem
to
be
starting
to
make
the
switch
or
be
preparing
for
the
switch,
but
may
be
opting
to
go
for
a
free,
reusable
bags
at
the
point
of
sale
instead
of
paper
bags
to
avoid
the
charge
so
not
something
that
that
was
necessarily
anticipated
going
into
this,
but
an
opportunity
for
a
future
Amendment
depending
on
you
know
that
could
either
be
a
good
thing
or
it
could
just
create
more
waste
going
forward.
D
So
looking
to
see
what
that
looks
like
and
then
find
Opportunities
to
amend
if
necessary
and
then
identifying
some
individual
challenges
that
some
businesses
are
facing.
As
many
of
you
are
aware
of,
the
bag
ban,
exempts
things
like
anything
that
doesn't
happen
at
the
point
of
sale,
so
plastic
used
for
like
wrapping
fish,
Meats,
etc,
etc,
and
a
couple
places
have
reached
out
about
that
and
looking
for
opportunities
to
make
sure
they're
in
compliance,
but
also
maybe
encourage
them
to
use
other
sustainable
Alternatives.
D
Even
if
you
know
the
plastic
they're
using,
doesn't
necessarily
fall
under
this
band,
going
forward
a
couple
of
things
that
we're
starting
to
develop
here
that
we
should
have
more
information
on
soon
is
a
more
pointed
social
media
campaign.
We've
decided
not
to
create
a
dedicated
page
just
for
this
ban,
but
instead
to
lean
on
the
existing
channels
throughout
the
city
and
then
who
hopefully,
some
of
the
community
organizations
working
on
similar
efforts
in
Pittsburgh
would
be
willing
to
post
some
stuff
related
to
the
ban
as
well.
D
So
as
that
gets
further
developed,
we'll
share
that
out
with
this
group
and
other
community
organizations
in
hopes
of
that
message,
not
just
coming
from
our
office
or
the
city
in
general,
but
also
other
community
organizations
throughout
the
city.
Dude
Let's
see
we
also
have
a
dedicated
email
that
residents
and
businesses
or
organizations
are
encouraged
to
reach
out.
You're,
obviously
welcome
to
to
reach
me
by
email
directly
or
you
can
email,
bagban,
Pittsburgh
pa.gov
for
any
questions
related
to
the
band.
D
There
We've
collected
a
list
of
6
000
Pittsburgh
businesses
that
might
be
affected
by
this
ordinance
and
are
working
with
the
office
of
nighttime
economy,
particularly
to
reach
out
to
restaurants.
They
have
a
list
of
about
a
thousand
active
contacts
just
to
ensure
that
you
know,
as
many
businesses
in
the
city
at
least
have
the
information
and
resources
they
need
to
be
in
compliance
with
this
band
come
October,
knowing
that
there's
still
opportunities
for
us
to
support
them
after
that,
as
well.
D
I'll
wrap
it
up
here.
Some
of
the
next
steps
that
we've
got
going
on
are
starting
to
look
at
a
procurement
process
to
get
reusable
bags
that
we
can
distribute
either
for
free
or
you
know,
at
affordable
cost.
To
ensure
that
you
know,
access
to
reusable
bags
is
not
a
barrier,
for
you
know,
residents
to
be
yeah,
avoiding
plastic
and
hopefully
also
avoiding
paper
to
whatever
extent
possible
part
of
what's
on
the
website.
D
Right
now
is
a
is
a
plan
that
will
stand
up
kind
of
closer
to
the
actual
implementation
date
here,
we're
hoping
to
partner
with
libraries
or
other
organizations
where
we
could
say
have
dropboxes
for
reusable
bags.
So
you
know
one
thing:
we've
heard
a
lot
is
that
people
say
have
100
views
about
reusable
bags
that
they
don't
know
what
to
do
with
want
to
want
something
want
a
place
to
be
able
to
donate
that
to
other
people.
D
That
might
not
have
that
so
looking
to
stand
up
drop
off
spots
where
residents
can
drop
those
and
then
others
are
free
to
take
them
as
needed,
and
ideally
we'd
have
some
of
our
own
branded
bags.
You
know
advertising
the
band
going
into
effect
there
as
well.
Again.
I
talked
a
little
bit
more
about
the
social
media
plan,
so
we'll
continue
to
develop
that
and
then
reach
out
once.
B
D
More
finalized
and
then
looking
to
yeah
find
some
sort
of
recognition
process
for
early
adopters
or
businesses
that
are
maybe
going
beyond
the
ban
and
reducing
plastic
from
other
parts
of
their
businesses
as
well,
promoting
them
as
much
as
possible
and
then,
as
we
get
close
to
the
band,
doing
more
direct
Outreach
to
businesses
again
just
making
sure
that
businesses
have
the
resources
they
they
need
know
when
this
is
going
into
effect.
D
How
this
is
going
to
affect
their
business
and
so
forth,
and
then
for
you
guys
both
CMU
and
other
non-profits
here,
if
you
guys
have
any
events
or
you
know,
opportunities
for
me
to
come
or
just
to
talk
about
the
ban
in
general
I
would
love
to
speak
to
you
guys
and
find
additional
opportunities
to
promote
this
leading
up
to
October.
D
Yeah
excited
to
be
be
here,
talking
about
it
and
be
in
this
position
and
looking
forward
to
hopefully
working
with
a
couple
of
you
guys
leading
up
to
and
after
the
band
goes
to
effect
in
October
thanks.
So
much.
B
Just
to
add,
when
the
garbage
Olympics
coming
up
this
year,
we're
looking
at
providing
bags
to
our
volunteers
for
the
swag
we've
usually
had
with
the
first
or
not
the
first
year,
but
a
few
years
ago
we
used
water
bottles.
B
The
past
couple
years,
we've
given
out
enamel
pins
this
year,
we're
looking
at
generating
some
reusable
bags
for
our
volunteers,
so
we're
starting
we're
looking
first
to
use
the
500
Grant
we
got
from
Earth
volunteer
fund
I
do
know
that
at
least
this
year
last
year
we
had
talked
about
using
some
of
our
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
funds
to
buy
some
bags
to
help
support
this
movement.
B
I,
don't
know
if
that
had
been
put
into
our
budget
for
this
year
at
all
or
if
we
have
anything
left,
but
currently
Tobias
does
not
have
a
budget
for
bags.
So
if
there's
something,
we
could
do
there
to
help
him
out.
While
that
gets
sorted,
it's
probably
a
stop
gap
before
the
city,
fully
funds,
a
bag,
a
reusable
bag
fund
on
his
part,
but
I
think
there's
probably
something
we
could
get
do
to
help
get
that
started.
H
H
H
It's
just
people
that
we
have
face-to-face
interactions
with
both
via
phone
and
then
in
person
when
they
bring
their.
E
C
F
Idea
of
using
some
clean,
Pittsburgh
commission
funds
to
support
bags
for
people
who
need
them,
I
am
sad
that
the
lapel
pins
aren't
going
to
be
here
again
for
the
local.
F
Those
I
do
also
I
think
that
a
lot
of
the
people
who
are
praying
to
participate
in
garbage,
Olympics,
probably
I'm,
guessing,
might
be
like
me
and
like
overwhelmed
with
reusable
bags
that
I
say
no
to
them
all
the
time.
So
if
we
do
do
that,
just
making
them,
maybe
like
re
General
enough
that
other
people
would
we
could
use
them
for
other
purposes,
because
I'm
not
sure
everyone
would
want
one.
B
B
Sarah,
do
you
have
the
the
the
budget
spreadsheet
ready
to
to
share?
We
could
probably
just
roll
right
into
the
next
portion
if
we're
talking
about
spending
money,
yeah.
H
I
don't
know
if
that
helps
at
all.
Looking
like
at
the
the
budget
and
there
I
was
going
to
say,
I
can
share
a
link,
but
I
guess
I
can't
right.
We
don't
have
share
function
to
the
budget.
I
can
share
it
after
too.
If
people
want
to
like,
take
a
look
at
it,
but
looking
at
it
right
now,
I
mean
it
looks
like
what
we
have
been
approved
by
the
commission.
I
think
it's
around,
like
we
have
about
22
000
approved
out
of
the
30
000
in
our
budget.
H
You
know
so
thinking
about
what
we
want
to.
You
know
utilize
that
last
eight
thousand
dollars
for
I
know
that
once
also
working
at
prcn,
knowing
that
in
the
past
the
E-Waste
collected
at
the
garbage
Olympics
was
kind
of
passed
through
PRC
as
far
as
cost
and
then
CPC
would
then
cover
that
kind
of
like
roundabout.
So
it's
not
being
pulled
out
of
prc's
contract
with
the
city
for
the
general
work
that
we
do,
I
would
just
and
maybe
I
you
know.
H
I
wouldn't
want
to
make
a
motion
on
that
or
anything
because
I
don't
feel
like
it's
appropriate
since
I
work
for
PRC,
but
beyond
that
I
don't
have
any
other.
You
know
suggestions
that
were
talked
about,
that
we
I
don't
think
we
didn't
recover.
I
guess
Literati
still
looks
like
in
you
know,
sitting
around
there
not
sure
what
we're
gonna
do
with
it.
I'm
trying
to
think
of
what
else
looks
like
a
time
here
that.
B
Yeah
for
the
E-Waste
on
garbage,
Olympics
I
think
the
city
actually
is
the
one
putting
the
bill
for
it.
Even
though
the
prcs
have
passed
through
and
I
think
that
might
have
been
some
of
the
confusion
that
happened
last
year
and
getting
that
paid
is
there
may
have
been
people
thinking.
The
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
is
paying
for
the
E-Waste
from
garbage
Olympics.
The
city
pays
for
that,
so
I
don't
think
we
have
to
carve
that
out
of
the
budget
here.
Okay,
unless
it's
it
does
become
too
much
of
a
burden.
B
We
may
ask
the
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
to
help
pay
for
it,
but
so
far
I
I
don't
think
that's
been
necessary.
Oh.
H
B
For
I
was
hoping
that
Marina
would
be
here
today
to
provide
us
an
update
with
what
they
wanted
to
do
with
the
stairs
and
where
that's
been,
but
I
did
not
hear
back
from
her
yesterday,
so
she
may
be
out
on
vacation
or
something
like
that.
B
So
if
we
still
have
funds
to
to
play
with
I'd
like
to
go
ahead
and
start
exploring
what
we'd
be
willing
to
do
for
to
buy
us
or
to
be
as
and
The
Bag
Man,
if
that's
creating
bags,
obviously
for
with
possibly
our
logo
city
logo
bag
band
logo,
things
like
that,
since
we
do
have
enough
people
here,
we
can
start
thinking
about
how
much
we
think
of
our
remaining
8
000
could
be
reasonable
to
go
towards
that.
B
That
initial
push
for
the
the
bag
ban
on
bags
and
then
I
do
have
another
thing:
I
wanted
to
bring
up
of
possibility
of
ways.
We
could
spend
money
today
so
first
for
Tobias.
If,
if
we
wanted
to
start
with
some
bags,
what
it
would
2000
be
a
reasonable
for
everybody
here
to
to
burst
trial
us
spending
on
that.
H
My
only
thought
would
be:
I
have
no
issue
personally
with
that
was
just
Literati
in
the
past,
hasn't
that
been
close
to
like
five
thousand
dollars,
so
just
being
cognizant
of,
if
that's
currently
not
in
here.
That
I
would
just
want
to,
if
we're
for
sure
thinking,
we're
gonna
move
forward
again
with
that.
H
I
can
also
stick
it
in
there
to
see
what's
remaining,
but
just
making
sure
we
have
a
a
good
picture
of
what
we
actually
have
remaining
I'm,
not
sure
and
apologize.
If
more
detailed
conversations
have
gone
on
around.
B
So
for
Literati
I
I
have
made
a
more
of
an
effort
in
the
past
couple
of
months,
since
we
last
talked
to
promote
it
more.
We
were
just
at
the
mattress
Factory's
trash
bash.
We
got
to
talk
to
a
lot
of
people
about
our
literary
data,
and
people
did
seem
to
get
excited
about
it.
I
do
need
to
revisit
a
conversation
with
Literati
themselves
to
see
they
did
want
to
talk
about
last
time.
Changing
our
pay
structure.
B
So
if
you
know
we
want
to
have
a
lot
larger
conversation
about
Literati
about
what
we
think
its
value
is
absolutely
but
I
do
I
have
been
making
more
of
an
effort
to
promote
that
and
get
to
get
more
people
using
it
in
the
past
this
summer.
C
Thanks
Chris,
you
had
mentioned
that
you
had
something
else
that
you
wanted
to
talk
about
budget
wise,
but
but
if
you
want
to
do
that
after
I
was
just
curious,
is
it
possible
for
us
to
discuss
that
I
just
would
be
curious,
like
what
the
budget?
What
the
item
is
and
what
the
budget
item
like
how
much
it
would
be
that
you're
looking
for
I'm
totally
in
support
of
the
bags
personally
I
just
think
it
would
be
helpful
just
like.
Maybe
we
can
get
more
yeah
to
the
bags,
depending
on
what
your.
B
The
other
proposal
was
for
Humane
action.
Pittsburgh
I
started
working
with
them
a
couple
of
years
ago
because
they
wanted
to
have
a
campaign
around
keeping
garbage
can
Lids
on
tightly
to
keep
raccoons
out
of
there
so
that
there's
less
raccoon
death
that
comes
from
calling
animal
control,
and
things
like
that.
So
they
really
wanted
to
do
a
kind
of
a
larger
push
on
that
I
did
offer
them
the
spaces
we
have
available
on
bus
shelters.
B
B
That's
what
I
had
previously
told
them
we
had
available
and
that
I
had
used
before
for
a
couple
anti-alert
campaigns
as
well.
They
did
a
lot
of
work
on
creating
materials
for
the
larger
ones
that
are
on
the
side
that
are
through
the
Gateway
advertising.
B
B
I
believe
they
did
come
here
a
couple
of
years
ago
and
talk
about
what
they
wanted
to
do
with
the
clean
pet
super
commission
regarding
this
campaign,
and
so
they
had
asked
if
we
had
any
funds
available
to
help
them
print
out
those
larger
ads
for
the
scientists
of
the
buses,
the
bus,
shelters
and
I
just
first
wanted
to
last
week.
We
did
not
get
to
have
our
budget
meeting,
which
is
where
I
was
going
to
bring
this
up.
B
How
much
do
we
have
left
what
what's
what's
still
available
to
spend
and
I
was
going
to
have
that
conversation
with
the
budget
crew?
First,
before
going
back
to
hap
and
say
yes
or
no,
we
may
have
some
some
money
for
them
before
they
put
foreign
an
actual
proposal.
It
would
likely
just
be
the
cost
of
printing,
so
it
would
I'd
imagine
max
out
of
the
at
a
thousand
dollars,
but
I'd
want
a
full
proposal
before
we
voted
on
anything,
but
I
did
kind
of
like
I.
B
F
Thanks
I
just
had
just
another
one
too
I
wanted
to
put
on
the
radar
and
and
I
can
also
move
it
to
the
budget
meeting
and
recognizing
that
clean
Pittsburgh
commission
did
support
literally,
although
I
do
have
to
follow
up
on
actually
how
to.
If
there's
any
next
steps
for
that
payment.
F
But
a
new
thing
is:
we've
been
spending
a
lot
of
resources,
human
and
paint
resources
to
address
graffiti
in
the
South
Side
stemming
from
the
color
Park,
and
so
that
has
expanded
significantly
and
I
briefed
The
Killing
Pittsburgh
Commission
on
this
in
the
past.
So
I
don't
need
to
go
I'm
not
going
to
go
into
detail
unless
people
have
questions,
but
we've
been
spending
several
hundred
dollars
on
paint
in
order
to
keep
that
under
control.
F
We're
working
with
the
community
groups
there
to
address
concerns,
and
so,
if
we
were
covering
those
expenses,
primarily
with
just
our
general
operating
funds.
But
it's
gotten
to
the
point
where
we're
looking
for
some
external
support
as
well
and
so
I
wanted
just
to
put
that
on
the
radar
and
I
can
put
together
a
little
kind
of
brief
on
it
and
run
it
by
the
Budget
Group.
If
that
makes
sense,
but
I
just
wanted
to
mention
it
here
as
well.
B
Yeah-
and
it
seems
like
there's
a
lot
of
good
parts
here,
all
good
stuff.
We
want
to
do
so.
Why
don't
today,
we
not
take
any
action
instead,
we'll
just
give
out
its
homework
assignments
to
everybody
to
come
to
the
next
budget
meeting
which
we're
going
to
try
to
do
this
month.
Maybe
next
week,
do
you
think
that's
possible
Sarah
yeah.
H
I
was
just
gonna
say
my
apologies-
that
I
was
out
on
vacation
last
week
and
didn't
make
it
clear
to
everybody
since
someone
that
has
the
link,
so
apologies
because
Oma
was
messaging
me
yeah,
all
I
can
put
out
some
suggested
times,
Chris
for
what
you
know
works,
and
then
we
can
just
put
it
out
to
the
whole
group
just
looking
at.
If
we
are
to
add,
excuse
me
the
five
thousand
dollar
cost
for
Literati.
That
puts
us
at
twenty
seven
thousand.
H
So
that
we're
like
less
than
3
000
remaining
in
our
budget,
if
we
are
to
go
with
literary
so
that
kind
of
more
focuses
on
you
know
what
do
we
have
available
to
do
with
those
funds
if
we
choose
to
spend
and
I
and
once
again
maybe
we
do
need
an
update
from
the
group
that
we
kind
of
pocketed
away
the
ten
thousand
dollars
for
to
see.
H
You
know
if
there's
any
discussion
around
changing
up
that
number.
If
we
haven't
really,
we.
B
Yeah
so
let's
make
sure
that
Myrna
or
anybody
else
from
Allegheny
cleanways,
whoever
was
working
on
spearheading
that
the
Hill
district
stairway
project
comes
to
us
with
a
something
everybody
can
come
to
us
on
this
next
meeting
next
week
with
something
similar
to
a
proposal
and
that
way
we'll
have
something
more
concrete
to
vote
on
next
week
or
next
month.
A
And
I
think
yeah.
Thank
you.
Chris
I
think
all
that's
a
good
idea.
I
think
we
should
be
as
close
as
possible
to
having
everything
kind
of
encumbered
and
planned
for
where
it's
going
and
everything
submitted
for
that.
We
can
because
I
know
we've
had
you
know
end
of
year,
rushes
and
I
know.
The
cutoff
is
sometimes
before
the
cutoff
for
end
of
years,
like
before
December
meeting
and
and
so.
A
I
know
I,
know
I
hate
to
be
the
one
and
be
like
just
December,
but
I
know
you're
discussed
in
the
past,
trying
to
make
sure
we
had
that
kind
of
lockdown
earlier
in
the
in
the
year.
So
I
think
we
can
make
that
a
goal
of
of
those
couple
of
meetings
upcoming.
A
Awesome
is:
does
everyone
feel
good
about
that?
The
finance
discussion,
yeah.
H
The
only
thing
I
did
want
to
follow
up
on
was
Kelsey
I.
You
guys
have
not
been
paid
yet
the
two
thousand
dollars
is
that
correct,
or
is
that
what
you
wanted
to
check
on
to
see?
Okay,
yeah.
H
Okay,
I
have
your
invoice
and
I
have
boarded
I'll
check
in
and
maybe
Circle
back
with
Afton
on
that
great.
A
Okay,
that
that
means
it's
time
for
remember
organization
updates
or
do
we
do?
We
need
to
talk
about
garbage
Olympics
real
fast
or
is
that
part
of
member
organization
updates
yeah.
B
Let's
throw
that
in
there,
I
could
just
start
with
garbage
Olympics.
Why
not
so
garbage
Olympics
is
coming
up
fast
I
think
we
got
a
little
bit
later
if
a
start
than
we
usually
do,
but
it
is
coming
up
on
there
we
go.
It
is
coming
up.
September
23rd,
the
garbage
Olympics
for
everybody
who
may
not
know
if
you're
watching
this
now
is
the
city's
largest
competitive,
cleanup
event
neighborhood
versus
neighborhood.
B
We
are
excited
to
have
this
be
the
seventh
year
of
the
garbage
Olympics
that
takes
place
in
your
neighborhood
and
and
as
the
cleanup
happens
in
your
neighborhood
and
then
afterwards,
at
12
o'clock.
We
all
get
together
at
threadbare
cider
to
announce
winners
and
hand
out
prizes,
including
this
year.
Hopefully
some
bags,
but
yes,
registration
is
open.
B
B
In
the
past
couple
of
years,
getting
more
than
half
of
the
the
city's
neighborhoods
participating
and
we're
hoping
to
do
the
same
this
year,
so
please
reach
out
the
website
to
register
is
pghgo.org
Pittsburgh
garbage
Olympics
pghgo.org
is
where
you
can
register
to
either
sign
up
your
team,
your
neighborhood,
if
they
have
not
signed
up
yet
or
to
join
your
neighborhood
team,
if
they
already
have.
A
Yay
garbage
Olympics
I'm
very
sad
that
I'm
on
vacation
that
week
and
I'm
gonna
miss
garbage
Olympics
this
year.
But
if
anybody
wants
my
PA,
because
the
only
bad
thing
about
threadbare
is
that
you
cannot
hear
anything
that
comes
out
of
their
pa,
I
will
bring
it
to
you
the
week
in
advance
and
you
just
plug
it
into
the
wall
and
you
plug
my
phone
into
it
and
turn
it
on.
That's
it.
That's
all
you
have
to
do
so.
A
Wants
to
PA
I
will
bring
it
to
you
before
I
go
away;
okay,
other
organizations
go
forth
and
announcement
for.
H
Prc
next
week
we're
announcing
or
we're
having
a
big
glass
recycling
push.
H
We
created
a
video
that
just
talks
about
the
importance
of
glass
recycling,
especially
in
Western
Pennsylvania,
and
how
much
it
contributes
to
the
circular
economy
and
we
have
some
educational
materials.
So
if
you
guys
see
on
Tuesday
of
next
week,
we're
going
to
be
sharing
out
a
bunch
of
stuff.
If
anybody.
H
G
Thank
you.
I
will
just
quickly
remind
everybody
that
almost
every
Tuesday
and
Thursday
we're
down
in
the
Strip
District
collecting
electronic
waste
and
small
household
appliances,
and
you
can
register
online
with
a
simple
Google
of
City
of
Pittsburgh
electronics,
recycling
and
then,
in
addition
to
that,
I
believe.
G
Is
it
next
weekend
already
or
the
weekend
after
Saturday
August
19th,
we
will
be
holding
a
neighborhood
Electronics
waste
collection
in
District
9
at
the
Homewood
brushton
YMCA,
so
we'd
like
to
thank
them
for
being
such
awesome
Partners
in
hosting
us
in
that
community
and
there's
still
space
available
to
register.
For
that
event,
as
well.
B
B
The
this
last
distribution
took
place
in
the
north
and
west
sides
of
the
city.
So
if
you
did
not
get
a
bin,
if
you
were
in
a
single-family
home
or
an
apartment
complex,
that
is
five
units
or
less
your
building
should
have
gotten
a
bin.
Please
reach
out
to
3-1-1,
because
that's
what
we're
working
on
right
now
is
is
making
sure
that
we're
getting
all
the
holes
that
we
may
have
missed
or
swapping
out
for
smaller
sizes.
C
Yeah
so
specific
question
to
the
north
side.
C
B
Yes,
you
were,
if
you're
on
the
North
side,
and
you
already
got
a
bin.
You
are
entitled
to
have
one
of
our
bins.
In
fact,
we
prefer
to
have
them
because
they
have
very
specific.
You
know
ID
numbers
and
things
like
that
that
are
supposed
to
be
tied
with
the
residents.
We
dropped
them
off
at.
So
if
you
have
one
of
the
north
side
bins
already-
and
you
didn't
get
one
from
us
this
time
around,
we
still
want
you
to
get
one
from
us.
So
three
one
one
is
the
resource
for
that.
B
I
do
know
that
conversations
were
had
about
what
to
do
with.
If
you
had
one
of
the
north
side,
bins,
I
have
one
as
well
so
now,
I
have
two
bins:
I,
don't
know
where
we
landed
on
that
and
that's
that's
Ami
is
going
to
come
in
with
that
I
do
believe
there.
There
is
talks
or
plans
to
have
some
sort
of
swap
out
system
for
people
who
need
an
extra
one
or
don't
need
an
extra
one.
I
just
do
not
know
what
the
details
of
that
are.
B
At
this
time
we
will
be
having
a
larger.
You
know
public
relations
push
when
to
to
announce
the
the
end
of
this
and
to
thank
everybody
who
worked
on
it
and
probably
to
announce
what
a
swap
out
system
could
look
like
and
that
will
be
coming
within
the
next
month.
C
Awesome,
thank
you,
I
mean
it's
a
good
problem
to
have,
and
a
lot
of
people
are
getting.
You
know
want
second
bin,
so
it
was
more
of
how
if
there
was
a
process
in
place,
I'd
like
to
help
promote
it,
but
no
worries.
Thank
you.
Yep.
C
B
One
more
I,
don't
I,
can't
believe
I'm
I'm
keep
jumping
in
here
and
forgetting
things.
Next
in
the
September
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
commission
meeting,
we
will
have
mayor
Gainey
as
our
guest
as
our
yearly
meeting
with
him,
so
we
won't
need
to
all
or
half
of
us
to
at
least
try
to
make
it
downtown
to
his
office.
B
He's
going
to
be
joining
us
here
on
Zoom,
so
that'll
be
next
month's
guest
speaker
and
we
can
have
our
yearly
meeting
with
him
right
here
so
be
prepared
for
that,
and
then,
if
we
need
any
other
or
any
other
things
come
up,
we
we
have
time
to
to
have
them
at
that
same
meeting
too,
and
he
will
also
be
at
the
garbage
Olympics
after
or
closing
ceremonies
announcing
the
winners.
So
we're
very
happy
to
have
him
in
both
places.
F
B
That's
interesting,
I
I
had
considered
that
we
could
ask
for
both.
We
can
have
him
I'll
reach
out
to
his
office
and
see
if
he'd
be
amenable
to.
Maybe
we
could
meet
with
him
privately
for
half
an
hour,
and
then
him
join
our
public
meeting
afterwards
or
before
it's
probably
going
to
depend
on
his
his
availability,
but
I
hadn't
considered
that
previously
those
those
meetings
were
not
public.
That's
a
good
point.
So
thank
you
for
for
reminding
me
of
that.
A
That's
very
exciting
and
that's
on
September
14th
FYI.
Everybody
is
our
next
meeting
I
as
always
wanted
to
make
sure
and
encourage
you
to
send
over
your
announcements,
these
ones
we've
shared
today
or
any
ones
that
you
think
of
later
to
Chris
for
the
newsletter
that
will
be
coming
out
in
about
a
week
post
this
meeting-ish
hi
Debbie.
Do
you
have
anything
for
us
before
we?
We
asked
to
move
to
adjourn.
A
I
just
want
to
check
in
with
everybody:
I
don't
have
a
member
organization
I'm,
just
a
person,
okay,
I
think
in
the
absence
of
any
additional
comments,
questions
concerns,
announcements,
Etc.
A
That
is
everything
that's
on
our
agenda
today,
I
like
the
confetti,
it's
like
a
meeting
and
a
party
at
once,
that's
good,
so
I
I
would
like
to
I'll,
receive
a
motion
to
adjourn.
H
A
It's
unanimous
or
what
what's
the
word
when
we
say
at
the
same
time:
I
don't
remember.
A
Jinx
and
the
bigger
word
for
it
we'll
come
up
with
it,
we'll
put
it
in
the
newsletter
all
right.
Everybody.
Thank
you.
So
much
have
a
great
I'm,
sorry
to
say
the
rest
of
your
summer
and
we'll
see
you
on
September
14th
with
mayor
Gainey
hi.
Thank
you.
