Description

If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Good
afternoon-
and
thank
you
for
being
here-
my
name
is
amanda
nietrauer.
I
am
the
chair
of
pittsburgh's
gender
equity
commission,
and
today
is
the
day
that
would
be
our
august
public
meeting.
I
am
here
just
to
kind
of
share
a
couple
of
updates
with
everyone.
The
commission
is
at
present
attending
a
virtual
retreat.
A
So,
as
some
of
you
may
know
a
year
ago
on
what
city
dubbed
black
women's
equal
pay
day
last
november,
we
unveiled
a
new
project.
The
gender
equity
commission
in
the
city
of
pittsburgh
is
in
partnership
with
the
american
association
of
university
women
to
bring
free
salary
negotiation
trainings
to
the
residents
of
the
city.
A
We
have
successfully
hosted
a
handful
of
virtual
trainings
and
right
now,
the
workforce
equity
committee
chaired
by
commissioner,
janet
manuel,
who
is
also
the
director
of
hr
for
the
city
of
pittsburgh,
is
actually
working
with
aauw
to
finalize
the
dates
for
the
rest
of
our
trainings
throughout
2021.
A
So
please
stay
tuned
for
those
dates
and
we'll
be
sending
those
out
via
our
newsletter
and
posting
them
as
soon
as
we
get
them.
But
we
are
planning
on
ensuring
that
we
are
having
additional
training
for
you
and,
as
always,
if
you're
interested
in
partnering
with
us
or
co-hosting
any
with
us.
Please
continue
to
email
us
to
let
us
know
and
we'll
be
reaching
out
to
you,
both
virtually
and
hopefully
in
2022.
A
In
addition
to
that,
the
governance
and
leadership
committee,
which
is
chaired
by
commissioner
jalisa
coffey,
they
are
the
ones
that
actually
organized
our
retreat
and
they're
helping
us
to
kind
of
manage
again.
The
grounding
principles
realigning
our
roles
both
in
the
executive
committee
as
commissioners
and
how
we
work
with
the
executive
director
and
the
mayor's
office.
A
So
we're
very
excited
about
that
work
and
the
leadership
that
is
going
into
that,
and
I
can
tell
you
after
an
hour
of
retreat,
is
going
very
well,
and
so
I'm
really
excited
and
proud
of
the
work
that
the
governance
and
leadership
committee
is
doing.
And
then
we
have
our
gender
analysis
committee.
They
are
working
on
examining
our
contract
with
nth
party.
A
Some
of
you
may
remember
that
the
workforce
equity
committee
had
put
together
a
report
on
a
three-pronged
approach
to
work
towards
achieving
equity
in
terms
of
the
gender
wage
gap,
both
from
providing
salary
negotiation,
trainings,
bringing
together
a
workforce,
equity
council
which
is
the
placeholder
name
and
then
having
and
encouraging
businesses
to
share
their
salary
and
wage
information
with
a
contracted
neutral
party
who
will
disaggregate
the
information.
A
In
addition
to
that,
looking
at
moving
forward
with
phase
two
of
the
report,
so
in
2019,
the
gender
equity
commission
commissioned
that
report.
That
came
out
where
we
looked
at
the
intersection
of
gender
and
race
and
since
then,
very
proud
of
of
the
work
that
has
come
out
of
and
has
been
supported
by
that
report
by
various
activists
and
community
organizations
throughout
the
region
and
even
beyond,
and
that
report
has
helped
to
inform
a
lot
of
work
that
has
happened
since
in
the
name
of
working
to
achieve
equity.
A
We
also
have
learned
a
lot
since
putting
that
report
out
and
are
very
excited
to
move
forward
in
a
way
that
both
reflects
a
lot
of
the
feedback
that
we
received
from
the
community,
as
well
as
our
desire
to
work
hard
to
be
even
more
intentional,
with
how
we
gather
and
report
information
equitably
phase.
Two
of
the
report
does
look
internally
at
the
city
of
pittsburgh,
and
so
the
gender
analysis
committee
right
now
is
working
hard
to
formulate.
