From YouTube: LGBTQIA+ Commission Meeting - 7/20/23
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Good
afternoon
evening,
everybody
this
is
the
July
2023
meeting
of
Pittsburgh's
lgbtqia
plus
commission
I
am
Sue
Kerr.
One
of
the
co-chairs
and
I
will
be
facilitating
this
evening.
We'll
start
off
with
roll
call
Billy.
Would
you
I
think
again?
Could
you
call
everyone's
name
since
we
have
something
new?
Yes,.
B
Yes,
okay,
yes,
I'll,
read
names
and
even
if
it
takes
you
a
moment
to
to
unmute
I'll,
wait
to
hear
from
you
so
Kathy
Boyle.
B
I
think
Kathy
might
have
an
audio
problem
because
I
don't
even
oh,
no,
the
her
microphone's
showing
up
on
the
Kathy.
Are
you
trying
to
respond.
B
She's
nodding,
okay,
we
can
see
you
all
right,
so
we
know
we
know
we're
not
just
being
hacked
by
someone
with
a
Kathy
Boyle
name.
Okay,
all
right
you're,
here
CC
has
indicated
you
will
not
be
able
to
be
here
tonight.
Denise
de
Simon.
C
B
Krauss
is
indicated
that
he
will
be
here,
but
he's
not
here
yet
Julian
McCain,
McLean
Julian.
B
All
right,
hi
Julian,
the
all
right
next
Maria
montagno
here,
Lenny
orbovitz,.
G
A
B
Notified
all
right,
Christopher
Robinson,
is
notified
that
he
won't
be
here
till
a
little
bit
later,
so
we
expect
him
a
little
bit
later.
Sarah
Rosso.
B
A
Great
well
we're
we
have
one
new
commissioner
who
should
be
joining
us,
hopefully
this
evening,
isn't
here
yet,
but
we
will
move
ahead
with
the
agenda
and
next
up
is
reading
and
approval
of
minutes
Billy
sent
the
minutes
out
for
the
July
June
meeting.
A
A
A
All
right
public
comment,
my
understanding
is,
we
do
not
have
any
public
comment
comments
submitted
for
this
month.
That's
is
that
correct,
Billy
and
Denise.
I
Right
so
I'm
gonna
repost
again
it's
a
link
to
the
Google
to
a
Google
form
I'm,
going
to
repost
that
again
and
from
our
from
our
Google
group,
you
can
look
at
the
form.
It's
it's
in
our
our
Google
Drive.
I
You
know
what
Sue
I'll
send
the
I'll
send
the
link
to
the
form
to
everybody.
Well,.
B
A
A
This
is
just
some
people
who
want
to
volunteer
or
get
involved.
That's
mostly
what
it's
been
in
a
few
just
inquiries
about
resources.
A
A
A
A
Right
well,
maybe
circulated
every
once
in
a
while
to
to
folks,
okay.
So
moving
on
to
our
co-chair
reports,
we're
we're
introduce
our
new
commissioner
Calvin
Esther
Ecker,
but
Calvin
is
not
here,
so
we
will
save
that
until
their
first
meeting.
But
so
everyone
knows
we
do
have
a
third
new
commissioner,
which
puts
us
at
17
no
16
16..
Okay,
all
right.
Moving
on
mayor's
office,
staffing
update
for
the
commission
Maria
do
you
have
any
update
for
us
on
the
hiring
of
the
idea
manager.
J
Yeah
we
had
somewhere
between
48
and
50
applicants,
to
forget
the
specific
number
for
the
idea
manager
we've
completed
our
first
round
of
interviews.
Second
rounds
are
scheduled
over
the
next
couple
of
weeks
and
we
look
to
have
a
finalist
and
somebody
in
place
by
early
August.
A
Fantastic,
that's
that's
great
news.
Any
feedback
on
that.
A
J
Yeah
as
soon
as
we
possibly
can,
this
was
a
really
important
hire
for
us.
We
did
a
lot
of
Outreach
on
it.
We
did
I
did
some
media
on
it,
so
we've
been
working
hard
to
get
this
position
staffed
and
want
to
move
as
quickly
as
possible.
Early
August
is
is
our
our
goal.
Obviously
that
depends
on
you
know
we
make
a
an
offer,
but
someone's
got
to
do
a
longer.
A
Okay,
anything
else,
that's
good
news
and.
A
All
right,
moving
on
to
the
report
from
the
Public
Safety
Liaisons,
meaning
that
was
last
week,
we
met
with
Eric
Baker,
who
is
in
the
police,
Bureau
and
Christy,
trying
to
blanket
Christy's
name
right
now
from
the
EMS
team,
she's
a
crew
chief
there,
and
let
me
open
the
floor
to
those
who
were
there.
If
you
have
anything
you
want
to
share,
in
particular,.
B
Well,
yeah
I'm
pulling
up
my
notes
of
Christy
saluski
z-a-l-e-w-s-k-I
she's,
a
crew
chief
with
the
not
sure
what
that
was
is,
but
we
she's
a
crew
chief
I
believe
with
the
paramedics.
Is
that
right,
Sue,
yes,
yeah
so
yeah,
Sue
and
I
were
there.
It
was
I
thought
a
good
discussion.
It
was
really
I
mean
it
would
be
what
I
think.
All
of
you
would
expect
that
that
we're
looking
forward
to
building
a
relationship
have
regular
contact
with
them,
even
if
there
isn't
some
urgent
matter
but
to
to
help.
B
You
know
ferment
a
good
relationship
to
get
to
know
and
that
that
that
those
regular
meetings
would
be
open
to
all
the
Commissioners,
and
you
know
more
than
once
we
emphasize
that
we
did
not
view
them
as
even
though
we
are
going
to
develop
a
relationship
with
them
and
vice
versa.
They're,
not
their
role
is
not
specifically
a
liaison
to
our
commission,
but
Liaisons
to
the
lgbtqia
plus
Community
I.
B
Think
was
one
of
the
important
things
that
that
we
talked
about
the
we
did
talk
about
I'm,
not
exactly
sure
what
Eric
said
about
this.
But
there
was
some
discussion
about
media
posts
and
them
doing
Outreach
to
the
community,
so
the
community
did
know
that
they
existed
and
that
wouldn't
simply
be
our
responsibility.
It
would
be
really
be
Theirs
to
to
be
visible
and
accessible.
That
was
one
of
the
things
that
that
we
that
we
talked
about
anyway.
I
thought
it
was
a
a
good
friendly.
A
We
did
talk
with
them
an
early
requested
that
they
get
some
information
for
us
in
terms
of
their
internal
training
and
what
kinds
of
lgbtqia
plus
dot
data
they
track
when
it
comes
to
their
interactions
with
the
public
and
any
kind
of
reporting
that
they
generate,
and
they
were
both
going
to
do
that.
We
decided
to
meet
every
two
months.
A
So
we
have
another
meeting
in
September
and
the
the
other
thing
is
is
that
neither
of
them
had
a
real
job
description,
so
we're
shaping
it
as
we
go
and
can
you
know
offer
our
input
to
to
based
on
what
we
need?
We
did
emphasize
to
them
that
we
are
not
a
monolith
and
it
working
with
the
entire
community
may
mean
working
outside
of
the
commission
that
we
don't
necessarily
need
to
be
involved
in
in
certain
pieces.
A
A
She
I
asked
about
how
they
handle
disclosing
sexual
orientation,
gender
identity
information
and
she
said
that
there's
like
an
official
piece
that
they
do
and
then
there's
just
sort
of
The
Unofficial
piece
about
sharing,
what's
necessary
and
and
I'd
like
to
get
some
more
information
on
that.
But
they
both
seem
very
nice
or
you
know
and
aware
of
things.
So
any
feedback
comments.
Questions
will
circulate
the
meeting
information
so
that
anyone
who
wants
to
be
there,
it's
all
going
to
be
by
Zoom.
A
I
We're
still
so
regarding
the
brochures,
I'm,
editing
them
to
include
the
new
commissioners
and
that'll
be
done.
You
know
shortly,
but
we're
still
in
need
of
printing
services
and
translation
services
for
that
brochure.
I
J
I
I
Does
anybody
have
any
questions
about
the
brochure
I
have
about
a
hundred
more
Richard?
If
you
want
them.
H
Yeah
I've
been
giving
out
a
lot
of
them
from
new
customers
and
people
that
are
coming
in
from
the
regional
area
and
they're
very
appreciative
that
the
commission
does
exist.
So
it's
one
way
to
let
people
know
that
there
is
such
a
thing
Maria.
What
is
the
turnaround
time
for
printing.
J
Turnaround
time
is
pretty
quick,
usually
within
24
to
48
hours,
depending
on
what
else
the
shop
is
moving
that
day,
okay.
I
Regarding
the
budget,
why
we
have
a
first
draft
budget
that
I've
pushed
out
to
the
executive
committee
I'm
going
to
make
a
couple
revisions
and
send
it
out
and
then
I'm
going
to
try
to
set
an
appointment
with
Patrick
to
review
the
budget,
whether
Zoom
I,
don't
know?
If
there's
anybody
else
Maria,
you
think
that
I
should
involve
with
this
again.
This
is
the
2024
budget.
A
So
everyone
remembers
our
our
agreed
upon
plan
was
that
we
were
going
to
vote
on
a
budget
that
we
would
then
present
to
the
administration
through
the
tools
that
they
have
available
and
we
should
have
plenty
I
mean
August
is
still
plenty
of
time
to
to
do
that.
So
yeah.
A
Thank
you,
Denise
All
Right,
Moving
On
election
of
co-chair
and
Outreach
coordinator,
we're
going
to
turn
things
over
to
Lenny
or
Billy
first
and
then
Lenny
yeah.
B
I'll
do
I'll
just
say
this
first,
so
we
have
two
officer
positions:
open
a
co-chair
and
the
Outreach
coordinator.
We've
shared
the
you
know
the
some
of
the
parameters
of
those
positions
in
through
email,
as
well
as
their
text
is
identified
in
in
our
bylaws.
That's
where
the
the
information
derived
from
so
what
Lenny
will
do
is
open
the
floor
for
nominations,
I
guess
we'll
do
co-chair
first
and
then
Outreach
coordinator,
simply
because
that's
the
order
on
the
agenda
and
then
anyone
can
nominate
another
person.
B
Anyone
who
is
a
representative
of
a
city
elected
official
is
an
elected
official
or
represents
an
elected
official's
office.
K
Yeah
I
I
was
curious
as
to
where
Billy
was
going
with
elected
official
voting
and
so
forth,
and
so
on.
Because
I
had
some
questions
about
that
myself
there
he
is
Billy,
sir.
B
Okay,
so
what's
is
there
a
question
yeah.
B
Yeah,
so
everybody
on
the
commission
is
eligible
to
vote
the.
What
I'll
do
is
I'll
share.
The
I
don't
think
I'm
screen
sharing
anymore
did.
B
Okay,
yeah
I'll
just
leave
that
alone.
The
the
position
of
co-chair
shall
not
be
held
by
a
commissioner
who
is
a
city
of
Pittsburgh,
elected,
official
or
employed
by
or
representing
a
city
of
Pittsburgh
elected
officials
office.
That's
what
we
adopted
as
our
bylaws.
L
Hey
everybody
yeah,
so,
as
Billy
said,
we're
going
to
elect
a
co-chair
and
an
Outreach
coordinator
this
evening
again
anyone
any
regular
member
of
the
commission
is
eligible.
We
can
all
make
nominations,
including
nominating
yourself.
L
So,
let's
start
with
co-chair,
as
that
was
the
way
they
were
listed.
Are
there
any
nominee
nominee?
Excuse
me
any
nominations.
E
L
Left
so,
and
that's
that
left
the
that
position
vacant
Outreach
coin
has
been
open
for
a
while
now
I
believe
yeah.
B
K
B
I'm,
a
I'm,
the
secretary
and
and
I
Won't,
Say
I'm,
happy
being
the
secretary,
but
I
am
committed
to
being
the
secretary
and.
D
K
E
And
yes,
I
am
here,
but
I
don't
feel
like
I
can
accept
the
positions-
okay
or
or
now
yeah
I'm
a
little
bit
QVC
gotcha.
K
H
But
thank
you.
Bruce
did
any
of
the
new
Commissioners
have
any
interest?
Do
they
express
any
interest
in
becoming
a
commissioner
I
mean
becoming
one
of
the
co-chairs.
A
I
did
have
some
back
and
forth
with
one
of
the
new
Commissioners
I.
Don't
want
to
single
anyone
out
about
the
time,
commitment
and
and
the
kinds
of
things
that
we
did,
and
you
know
my
assumption,
just
it's
kind
of
as
general
is
that
on
their
second
meeting
it
might
be
a
bit
much
to
jump
in
as
co-chair
and
that
at
any
point
they
could
decide
to
run
if
the
seat's
available,
so
I
didn't
have
a
sense
that
anyone
was
rejecting
it.
I
mean
it.
A
Is
it
it's
a
lot
of
work
and
we
do
speaking
to
Bruce's
comment.
You
know
we
are
a
team,
the
the
six
officers
and
we
do
share
a
lot
of
responsibilities,
so
you're
not
really
feeling
like
you're
in
a
silo
when
it
comes
to
having
to
make
decisions
or
back
each
other
up,
but
hopefully
having
staff
will
reduce
some
of
our
workload,
but
I
don't
wanna
make
light
of
that.
A
But
at
the
same
time
it's
it's
it's
it's
important
because
at
this
point
you
know
our
it
looks
to
the
public
like
we
have
two
cisgender
white
women
who
people
would
probably
assume
are
both
lesbians.
A
You
know
running
the
commission
and
the
entire
leadership
team
is
made
up
of
cisgender
white
folks,
and,
and
so
we
don't
really
represent
the
community.
H
If
I
would
love
to
also
nominate
Derek
tynes,
if
he's
interested,
he
has
a
huge
history
of
the
Commission
in
the
past
and
if
he
has
time
to
be
involved,
I
would
love
to
see
him
at
least
be
nominated,
but
he's
not
here.
So
it's
hard
to
know
if
he
would
be
would
have
an
interest.
B
Yeah
we
couldn't
do
that
without
his
presence.
The
other
thing
that
we
can
do,
because
you
know
we
don't
have
to
Pine
over
this
too
long.
If
we
don't
have
a
nomination
tonight,
this
is
just
going
to
default
to
the
next
meeting.
This
will
continue
to
be
on
the
agenda
each
regular
meeting
when
there's
a
vacancy,
it's
or
bylaws,
say
Phil
at
the
next
meeting.
B
We've
pass
that
over
a
few
few
months
since
Marcus
left
to
give
people
time
to
think
about
it,
but
we're
just
going
to
have
it
on
the
agenda
for
these
two
positions
that
they
can
remain
vacant.
B
It's
probably
it's
not
good
that
they
remain
vacant,
but
we
have
a
16
member
commission
and
at
some
point
we
are
going
to
get
the
the
six
officer
positions
filled
just
because
of
the
newness
for
some
Commissioners
I.
Think
it's
just
a
little
hard
for
them
to
step
in
and
and
each
of
you
have
your
reasons
why
you
might
not
so
that's,
but
we
will
we're
we're
just,
but
we're
just
obligated
to
bring
it
up
each
month
from
now
on.
So
that's
what
we're
going
to
do?
I!
H
And
Billy
this
has
to
be
done
in
a
public
manner,
not
through
any
kind
of
email,
correct.
H
Could
we
we
inform
I
know
where
it
needs
to
be
seconded,
but
even
asking
Derek?
Would
he
be
interested
in
considering
it
at
the
next
meeting?
Would
that
be
something
that
could
be
done?
You.
H
J
H
I
I
will
privately
reach
out
to
Derek.
Do
I
need
to
Loop
in
everybody
else,
I
don't
know
about
in
terms
of
Sunshine
Law.
If
that
can
happen,.
L
A
H
Well,
he's
he's
been
very
involved,
so
he
would
say
yes
or
no,
so
I
would
understand
that
for
sure
so
I'll
reach
out
to
him
and
then,
but
if
we
have
other
people
you
know
it's,
we
could
have
three
people.
We
could
vote
on
so
correct.
L
We
could
we
could
have
more
than
one
candidate
for
this
particular
election.
Yes,
I
think
that
was
Richard's
question.
Okay,
all
right,
so
hearing
node
other
nominations
for
co-chair.
Are
there
any
anyone
interested
in
nominating
or
serving
as
the
Outreach
coordinator.
K
Would
argue
you
know
just
for
the
sake
of
brevity
that
we
then
postpone
both
of
these
to
the
next
commission
meeting
and
continue
on
with
the
agenda.
L
I
agree:
well,
I,
don't
hear
any
so
I
think
that's
that's
a
done
deal.
K
And
for
the
the
chair
of
the
savings
meeting,
I
I
don't
mean
to
be
difficult.
I'm
going
to
need
to
step
away
at
about
6
20
for
a
community
meeting.
I
need
to
attend.
K
Would
it
be
possible
if
you
have
questions
I
guess
you
know
regarding
meeting
with
council
members
or
I
saw
on
the
agenda
another
bidding
before
council
with
commission
members,
if
you'd
like
to
it,
would
be
possible
to
move
that
up
on
the
agenda
so
that
I'm
able
to
be
here
to
answer
questions
if
there
are
any,
would
that
be
okay,
Denise.
A
Do
you
mind
if
we
postpone
yeah
calendar
and
move
right
into
City,
Council,
okay,
okay,
Bruce,
then
so?
I'm?
Okay,
all
right
so
in
terms
of
the
meetings
with
individual
members
of
city,
council,
Denise
and
I
are
handling
that
right
now
and
we
are
starting
with
counselor
Deb
gross
and
we're
meeting
with
her
next
week
right
and
we
thought
we
all
both
have
a
established
relationship
with
her
and
then
just
you
know
to
sort
of
shake
out
what
we're.
What
we're
trying
to
do
in
these
meetings
and.
K
The
council
will
be
taking
its
recess,
August
2nd
I
believe
is
the
date
and
out
until
I,
don't
have
a
calendar
in
front
of
me.
It
will
be
late,
August,
very
early
September
when
we
return
and
then
just
to
keep
in
mind.
We
go
almost
directly
into
budget
season,
which
really
complicates
members
schedules
and
then
of
course,
it's
holidays
and
all
of
that
craziness
and
end
of
year.
So
just
I,
you
know
as
a
friendly
suggestion.
K
If
you
will
the
center
we're
able
to
schedule
meetings
with
members,
I
think
the
better
luck
we'll
have
with
finding
availability
on
your
schedules.
A
Yeah
our
plan
is
to
try
to
meet
with
two
different
members
of
council
a
month
take
our
time
and
then
we
also
understand
that
some
like
are
not
returning
to
office
next
year
and
and
moving
forward.
But
after
this
first
meeting
we'll
have
a
chance
to
update
everyone
on
the
con
the
way
the
conversation's
moving,
because
we
really
don't
know
how
to
get
our
hands
around
this
right
now.
A
A
So,
for
example,
there
were
a
robust
discussion
around
services
to
elders
and
making
sure
some
members
of
council
didn't
know
that
there
were
multiple
groups
doing
that
work
and-
and
so
we'd
want
to
Circle
back
to
that
in
particular
and
and
see
if
any
progress
has
been
made
or
updates.
So
I
think
maybe
15
minutes
at
our
next
meeting
would
be
a
good
investment
of
time
to
to
have
that
robust
conversation.
There's
no
meeting
minutes
to
review
you
can
review
the
me.
K
And,
and
just
in
all
fairness,
I
will
not
be
at
next
months,
commission
meeting
being
that
Council
was
recess
and
I
will
be
taking
that
time
to
to
regroup
and
refresh
so
I
will
not
be
in
attendance
at
next
month's
commission
meeting.
If
that
poses
a
problem.
A
K
One
suggestion
after
the
General
in
November,
which
I
want
to
say,
is
November
5.
I,
don't
have
a
calendar
appointment,
I
apologize,
but
if
it
is
November
the
5th
that
would
be
a
good
time
to
to
begin
scheduling.
If
you
can
meetings
with
the
two
new
members
that
will
be
joining
us
I.
Think
that
appreciate
the
the
commission
reaching
out
to
them.
A
We
that's
a
good,
that's
a
good
note
and
we,
you
know,
will
definitely
put
that
into
our
scheduling
conversation.
A
Okay,
so
we'll
move
on
to
commission
and
Pirates
working
group
we
at
the
last
the
last
month
we
had
talked
about
the
fact
that
the
the
way
that
the
pride
night
at
PNC,
Park
came
together
wasn't
didn't
meet
the
standards
of
previous
years,
and
so
we
urge
the
Pirates
to
meet
with
the
members
of
the
community
who
were
not
included
this
year
in
the
planning
and
the
Pirates
told
us
they
had.
A
You
know
they
realized
the
mistakes
that
they
had
made
and
they
they've
made
changes
so
Sarah
and
I
reached
out
to
talk
with
them
about
setting
this
meeting
up
in
August,
because
that
was
our
original
goal
and
at
this
point,
they've
asked
us
to
do
a
smaller
meaning
just
to
prepare
for
for
for
that
larger
piece,
it
hasn't
been
scheduled.
Yet
I
will
I
think
if
any
other
Commissioners
want
to
attend.
A
That's
fine
that
that
smaller
planning
meeting
it's
consistent
with
our
role
to
facilitate
that
larger
meeting
and
there
planning
to
adopt
like
more
of
a
template
on
how
they
go
about
this
instead
of
changing
it
up
every
year.
So
there's
really
not
much
to
report
at
this
point
until
we
have
a
meeting
scheduled
any
comments,
questions
about
the
Pirates.
Did
anybody
get
one
of
those
cool,
Hawaiian
shirts
they're
giving
away
my
wife
tried
really
hard,
but
she
didn't
get
one.
So,
okay,
let's
go
back
to
the
Outreach
coordinators
report.
A
I
Yeah
I
just
wanted
to
remind
anybody
if
everyone
that,
if
there
is
an
event
that
feel
strongly
that
one
of
us
attend,
if
you
send
it
to
me,
I,
could
add
it
to
the
calendar
and
make
sure
that
it
gets
distributed.
A
Okay,
really
the
calendar
Facebook
page
the
public
comments.
Those
are
links
that
all
Commissioners
can
share
those
as
often
as
you
like,
on
whatever
social
media
platforms
you're
using
and
we're
really
dependent
on
you
to
to
get
it
out
there
and
make
sure
it's
connected
with
the
community.
So
please
make
a
note
of
doing
that
all
right,
unfinished
business.
A
So
we
are
trying
to
follow
legislative
policy
Municipal
state
and
earlier
today,
Billy
circulated
a
letter
draft
language
for
to
reach
out
to
our
Pennsylvania
legislators
and
the
governor
regarding
one
of
the
three
anti-lgbtq
anti-trans
pieces
of
legislation,
and
we
at
the
same
time
are
also
looking
at
the
positive
legislation.
The
Fairness
Act,
which
has
passed
the
house
so
Billy.
Anything
you'd
like
to
add.
B
Yeah,
the
what
I'll
add
is
I
mean
you
know
please,
I'm,
take
take
the
time
when
you
can
to
to
read
the
draft
letter
that
I
sent
earlier
today.
I
know
many
of
you
probably
have
not
had
a
chance.
You
might
not
even
have
seen
it
yet
in
your
email,
I'll
send
along
the
the
others.
B
There
will
be
two
more
letters
regarding,
so
the
one
that
you
received
is
regarding
House
Bill
216,
the
so-called
fairness
and
women's
sports
act
and
I.
Think
you'll.
You
know
I
hope
you
understand
what
I'm
trying
to
do
in
the
letter.
B
When
you
read
it,
it
really
is
an
attempt
to
make
a
strong
point
that
what
that
this
pathway
is
just
wrong-headed
and
harmful,
and
but
it's
done
in
a
way
that,
even
though
some
of
these
legislators
might
be
stunned
to
speak
with
us,
maybe
maybe
not
I
think
we
should
try
I
think
we
should
try
to
engage
in
a
conversation
with
any
legislature,
who's
putting
their
name
on
this
type
of
Bill
and
have
a
a
civil
and
heartfelt
conversation
with
them.
B
Why
it's
it's
problematic,
we're
not
going
to
change
things
in
in
this
state
or
in
this
country,
unless,
unless
People
Like
Us
are
willing
to
do
that,
and
I
think
that
we
should
the
but
I
think
you'll
get
the
gist
of
that
in.
In
that
letter,
I'm
gonna,
you
know
finish
up
the
other
two,
the
the
fairness
and
women's
sports
acts
actually
for
me
was
a
little
bit
easier
to
write.
B
So
I
did
that
one
first
I've
done
a
lot
of
research
on
the
gender,
affirming
care
one
and,
of
course
these
are
drafts,
because
I'm
not
an
expert
on
on
all
these
things,
of
course,
and
the
parental
rights
and
education,
one
that
one
is
is
got
so
much
stuff
so
much
material
because
of
what
has
happened
in
Florida
and
and
there's
so
there's
a
whole
history
of
how
a
piece
of
legislation
like
that,
if
it
becomes
enacted,
is
so
damaging.
B
So
the
part
of
the
trouble
with
the
letter
that
I'm
writing
in
that
one
is
is
how
to
keep
it
to
you
know
500
words
or
so,
which
is
what
it
needs
to
be,
but
I
am
going
to
have
an
addendum
and
an
attachment
to
the
parental
rights
and
Education
Act,
because
there's
this
Amigos
brief
on
behalf
of
multiple
Healthcare
organization.
So
this
is
actually
the
gender
affirming
care
in
that
in
the
Texas
case.
B
That
is
just
so
freaking
informative,
but
I'll
send
it
around
to
all
of
you,
I
mean
it
is
a
great
synopsis
of
why
how
much
work
has
been
done
on
gender,
affirming
care
for
young
people
and
and
all
the
the
various
Medical
Association
psychiatric
associations,
transgender
rights
organizations
that
have
done
work
on
it
are
identified
in
this.
Let
me
just
brief
that
was
done
in
a
in
the
Texas
case,
but
anyway,
so
I
have
done
a
lot
of
work
on
I.
B
Just
have
to
finish
finish
it
up
and
get
you
the
drafts.
I
think
that
I
can
get
them
done.
You
know
within
a
few
days
so
that
you
have
a
lot
of
time
before
August.
These
bills
are
not
moving
in
the
in
the
Pennsylvania
legislature,
right
now,
I
think
they're
still
having
budgetary
issues,
and
so
the
they're
they're
not
going
to
be
addressing
these
and
they're
they're
not
likely
to
pass
the
house,
which
is
where
they
are
right
now
and
the
governor
is
probably
would
veto
them.
B
Although
I
don't
think
I,
don't
know
whether
he's
made
statements
on
that
yet
wolf
did
very
early
on
and
strongly
and
did
veto
a
bill
that
got
to
him
the
anyway.
So
that's
the
update,
look
for
these
things,
and
you
know
if
you,
if
you
don't
like
it
or
if
I'm
doing
something
clumsy
in
some
way
that
could
be
written
better.
More
respectfully,
do
not
be
shy
about
pointing
it
out.
Just
do
not
that's
how
we
learn
right
so
now.
G
B
B
I
think
like
actual
signatures,
would
be
great
if
the
two
co-chairs
signed
it,
maybe
the
the
four
officers,
whatever
we
decide,
maybe
a
place
for
everybody's
signature.
It's
just
hard
to
get
everybody's
signature,
but
you
know,
but
on
behalf
of
the
full
commission
in
unison,
the
co-chairs
sign
this.
B
You
know
I
think
that
it
is
a
letter
to
and
I
also
sent
to
you
a
Excel
spreadsheet
of
all
this
co-sponsors
of
these
three
bills
and
the
so
there's
my
vision
is
that
these
letters
go
to
all
the
prime
sponsor
and
all
the
co-sponsors
of
the
three
pieces
of
legislation
with
the
respectful
civil
argument
that
they're
on
the
wrong
path
and
what
they're
trying
to
do
to
make
Pennsylvania
a
better
place
in
which
to
live,
and
then
in
fact
that
if
Pennsylvania
is
going
to
be
a
better
place
in
which
people
live,
there's
there's
different
action.
B
That
needs
to
be
taken
so
that
it
is
fair
and
Equitable
it's
safe
for
everybody.
So
that's
the
that's
the
so
we
go
to
them
and
then
we
would
copy
the
governor
and
the
leader
of
the
Senate.
The
leadership
of
the
Senate
and
the
house
is
what
our
motion
last
month
entailed
and
then
we
would
also
have
a
supportive
letter
regarding
House
Bill
300,
which
is
the
Fairness
Act
and
send
that
to
the
leadership
of
the
Senate
and
as
well
as
you
know,
to
the
the
sponsors
of
the
the
house
measure
that
passed.
B
You
know
thanking
them,
but
so
there's
so
would
be.
It
would
go
to
every
single
legislature
who
put
their
name
on
the
bad
bills
and
and
then
also
the
Governor
and
the
leadership
of
the
the
Senate
and
the
house.
H
Billy,
do
you
think
I
I
did
read
it?
It's
very
powerful
I'm,
not
a
word.
Master
like
you
are,
but
I
I
love
to
well.
It's
not.
The
word.
Love
is
not
the
best
word,
but
it's
important
to
see
all
those
statistics.
That's
sorry
statistics
that
are
irrefutable,
and
would
this
be
something
that
would
be
sent
to
like
Dan,
Frankel
and
Latasha
Mays
just
to
let
them
know
what
we
are
doing
here.
B
Oh
absolutely,
we
can
I
think
we
could
I
mean
our
motion
that
was
approved
by
the
by
the
commission
was
to
send
it
to
the
House
and
Senate
leadership
and
the
governor.
But
it's
not
a
private
letter.
I
mean
it's
I
mean
we
would
inform
I
mean
certainly
any
legislator
who
received
it
and
felt
like
it,
was
critical
of
their
participation
in
these
bad
bills
and
saw
where
who
is
also
copied
on.
It
would
understand
that
it
it
other
people
would
see
it
too.
A
J
Yeah
I
agree
sharing.
It
would
be
rather
appropriate
and
I
think
they
would
appreciate
that
and
knowing
that
they've
got
the
support
from
this
commission
as
they
work
to
to
stop
those
bills
from
moving
forward.
B
Yeah,
that's.
The
other
point
is
while
I'm
doing
all
this
reason,
because
I'm
partly
why
you
don't
have
them,
is
because
when
I
start
reading,
I
just
love,
reading
and
I
just
keep
reading
more
and
more
stuff
and
then
then
finally,
I
have
to
say.
Oh
you
better
write
something
now
that
you
read
so
much,
but
the
so
I'm
gonna
also
make
a
list
of
talking
points.
B
You
know
that
are
organized
in
the
regarding
the
three
bills
so
because
there's
just
way
too
much
information
to
put
in
this
type
of
letter,
but
it's
but
it's
good
for
all
of
us
to
have
it
so
I'll
share.
You
know
some
of
the
work
that
I've
done.
A
Thank
you
Billy
for
all
that
you've
done
on
that,
and
it's
really
critical,
especially
now
that
we
have
one
less
vote
in
the
house,
although
this
is
already
through
the
house,
so
we
will
continue
each
month
to
bring
things
up
that
we
think
are
important
for
us
to
know
about
if
there's
something
that
you
come
across
in
your
work,
particularly
at
the
school
board
level,
bring
it
to
our
attention
so
that
we
can
discuss.
A
Let's
I
want
to
keep
mindful
of
time.
So
moving
on
to
new
business,
the
commission
response
to
Media
inquiries,
yeah
inquires
as
of
right
now,
you
know
we
haven't.
We
have
a.
A
We
had
a
request
from
public
source
and
the
journalists
said
that
they
weren't
going
to
do
it
and
then
they
assigned
to
different
journalists
to
it.
So
they
want
to
write
about
the
commission.
They
may
be
in
fact
watching
tonight.
I
think
that
they're
observing
our
meetings
on
a
monthly
basis
and
so
Sarah
and
I
will
be
meeting
with
the
journalist
to
for
an
interview
and
then
we've
spoken
and
had
confirmation
from
Lenny,
Derek
and
I,
can't
think
of
who
I
don't
remember,
who
I'll
say
we
to
participate
in
interviews?
A
If
anybody
else
is
interested,
you
can.
Let
me
know
outside
of
this.
We
don't
need
to
discuss
that
here,
but
just
again
as
a
reminder,
if
you're
contacted
by
the
media,
please
redirect
them
to
the
co-chairs.
That
doesn't
mean
that
you
can't
or
won't
have
a
chance
to
talk
with
them.
We
just
we
just
need
to
be
mindful
of
our
messaging
and
consistent
with
our
bylaws,
okay,
lgbtqia
commission,
meaning
with
the
gender
Equity
Commission.
A
The
executive
committee
will
be
meeting
with
the
members
of
the
public.
There
are
two
left
gender
Equity
Commission
next
week,
I
believe
it's
next
week
and
just
to
talk
about
share
we're
going
to
be
sharing
staff
with
the
new
ideas
manager
and
a
DM
manager
and
having
a
chance
to
talk
about
where
we
are
and
how
we're
we've
evolved
very
differently.
But
we
have
a
lot
of
overlap
in
our
mission,
so
we,
if
anyone
would
like
to
participate,
we
will
circulate
that
information.
A
Again,
it's
going
to
be
on
Zoom,
so
it
could
be
open
to
anyone,
who's,
interested
and
domestic
partner
registry
I'm.
Sorry
Bruce
is
gone.
A
The
domestic
partner
registry
I
was
something
Bruce
sponsored
and
it
could
use
some
updating
and
I
am
was
hoping
that
we,
you
know
we
could
talk
about
that.
I,
maybe
asked
Bruce,
just
I,
don't
know
we'll
figure
out
how
to
get
some
information
on
this
and
talk
about
the
registry
and
how
it
works.
A
Get
some
data
from
the
city-
and
you
know
so
one
example
I'd
like
to
give-
is
that
Allegheny
County
currently
does
not
have
domestic
partner
benefits
when
the
city
9-1-1
merged,
with
Allegheny
County
city
employees
lost
access
to
domestic
partner
benefits
that
was
a
years
ago,
but
it's
just
a
really
good
example
of
you
know
what
shouldn't
happen.
People
shouldn't
lose
their
benefits
and
obviously
The
Simple
Solution
of
that
is
for
the
county
to
come
up
to
standard
on
that.
A
I
feel
this
really
strongly,
because
I
was
a
victim
of
this
registry.
It,
the
the
barriers,
the
socioeconomic
barriers,
are
tremendous,
and
one
of
our
former
Commissioners
also
just
recently
went
through
the
process
and
just
shared
my
utter
frustration
at
you
know
how
complicated
and
disrespectful
it
is.
So
this
is
me
speaking.
You
know
I'm
hoping
that
we
can.
A
We
should
explore
it,
I,
don't
know,
I
mean
it's
not
my
call
alone,
but
does
anyone
have
any
thoughts
on
that
or
we
can
just.
J
What
what
purpose
does
the
domestic
partner
registry
have
now
that
marriage
equality
is
legal
in
the
state
of
Pennsylvania,
because
from
my
understanding
that
was
a
a
way
to
provide
benefits
to
those
who
that
legal
documentation
was
not
yet
available,
Statewide
or
Countrywide,
so
I
guess
like
I,
guess
what
would
we
be
trying
to
accomplish
from
a
policy
perspective
here
regarding.
A
A
Are
a
lot
of
reasons
why
people
cannot
and
do
not
get
married,
but
that
they
are?
They
are
still
domestic
partners
and
it.
The
clearest
example
in
Pennsylvania
is
the
fact
that
there
are
not
Statewide
non-discrimination
protections.
So
marrying
is
a
public
action
and
you,
you
are,
to
some
extent
outing
yourself,
so
for
some
people
it
may
not
be
safe
still
to
marry.
A
There
are
people
who
have
different
kinds
of
family
compositions
and
that
just
the
idea
of
being
in
a
partnership
is
still
a
valid
and
acceptable
relationship
that
we
and
and
in
fact,
there's
new
movements
now
to
look
at
expanding
benefits
like
who
would
count
as
your
sort
of
plus
one
so
that
it
would,
it
could
potentially
include
a
parent
or
an
adult
child
or
someone
that
you
would
traditionally
considered.
A
You
know
that
you
wouldn't
marry
them,
but
you
could
have
a
domestic
partnership
with
them
in
a
non-opsy
non-romantic
sense,
but
so
really
it's
and
marriage
equality
is
not
yet
firm
and
established.
I
mean
that's
clear:
in
Pennsylvania,
there's
a
Doma
defense,
Marriage
Act,
that's
still
active
on
the
books.
It
was
never
rescinded
by
the
state
that
the
general
assembly,
so
if
something
were
to
happen
to
threaten
marriage,
equality
rulings,
same-sex
marriage
would
be
illegal
in
Pennsylvania
again.
A
A
Is
that
clarifying
enough
Maria
I,
don't
mean
to
put
you
in
a
spot
with
that,
but
no.
J
I
was
just
trying
to
get
an
understanding
of
of
of
that
and
wholeheartedly
agree
with.
We
should
be
doing
all
that
we
can
to
provide
health
care,
and
you
know
it's
I,
as
somebody
whose
Health
Care
is
increasingly
under
attack
and
being
made
into
felonies
across
the
country.
I
I
get
that
aspect
of
it.
I
just
know
that
there's
going
to
be
some
a
lot
of
political
challenges
with
municipalities
and
trying
to
convince
them
around
the
keeping
a
domestic
partner
registry
and
the
in
the
headwinds
of
everything
at
the
moment.
A
A
Okay
and
so
we'll
bring
this
back
up
in
the
future
and
when
we
really
need
Bruce
to
be
part
of
that
conversation
and
the
reason
I'm
bringing
it
up
is
that
I
thought
Bruce
might
be
willing
to
look
at
this
before
he
left
office,
and
it
certainly
wouldn't
just
be
him.
It
could
be
any
member
of
council.
So
it's
not
super
time.
Sensitive.
A
All
right,
Richard
had
submitted
a
question
on
the
status
of
gender,
affirming
care
in
the
Pittsburgh
region
and
Sarah,
who
is
our
health
representative,
had
sent
some
response
to
you
Richard.
Do
you
have
any
comment
on
that.
H
I've
been
talking
to
a
lot
of
trans
friends
who
have
to
go
out
of
state
for
this,
and
the
information
that
Sarah
sent
me
was
that
there
are
some
services
available
here,
but
not
everything
I
actually
have
been
helping
a
family
raise
money
for
their
trans
daughter,
they're,
going
to
Baltimore.
H
H
How
will
they
elevate
this
discussion?
I
know
it's
a
hot
button
issue
as
I
told
Sarah,
because
of
what's
going
on
politically,
but
Sarah
had
some
very
important
information
to
share
that
was
there?
Are
it's
a
work
in
progress
at
this
point
it
seems
like
it's
do
we?
Can
they
get
the
surgeons
who
are
qualified
to
come
to
Pittsburgh
and
be
part
of
the
system,
so
I'm
encouraged,
but
it
still
leaves
a
void
for
a
lot
of
people
that
are
requiring
this
procedure.
H
H
A
J
I'm
just
go
ahead:
Maria,
oh
yeah,
so
so
yeah
broadly
speaking,
there
really
isn't
a
ton
of
options
in
the
Pittsburgh
area,
specifically
for
certain
types
of
gender
confirmation
surgery,
mostly
due
to
the
limitations
of
the
fact
that
it's
a
highly
specified
type
of
procedure
and
not
every
surgeon
is
trained
on
it.
So
it's
not
quite
like
a
knee
replacement
where
there's
a
variety
of
doctors
who
could
do
so?
J
There
really
is
only
a
handful
of
doctors
across
the
country
who
are
trained
in
it,
and
those
folks
are
leading
the
charge
to
train
many
others
in
order
to
provide
service
more
fully
myself
I
went
to
New
Hope
Pennsylvania
for
surgery
in
2017,
specifically
because
of
this,
so
it
it
is
a
a
definitely
a
challenge
to
work
with
the
local
hospital
system
on
and
I
do
know
that
there's
some
some
work
in
the
process
here
to
try
to
recruit
surgeons.
For
that,
but
it
is.
J
It
is
a
long-standing
issue
that
the
community
has
faced
for
quite
a
while,
so
just
know
that
local
health
systems
are
aware
of
the
issue
and
that's
moving
forward.
I
think
children's
does
a
great
job
in
terms
of
providing
competent
care
for
for
youth
in
our
city.
Planned
Parenthood
does
a
fantastic
job
for
the
care
that
they
do,
there's
a
variety
of
other
places
to
get
access
to
hormone
therapy
and
other
types
of
services,
but
surging
itself
remains,
to
be
mildly,
elusive
in
the
city
of
Pittsburgh.
J
That
is
changing
some,
but
it's
still
something
to
work.
Work
towards,
and
a
lot
of
it
comes
down
to
the
lack
of
available
surgeons
to
to
do
the
work.
A
I
am
I
would
like
to
just
share
what
Sarah
her
response
is
really
long
and
she's
unable
to
speak
tonight
because
of
where
she's
at,
although
she
is
listening
and
I,
think
you
know
she
could
speak
to
this
in
more
depth
next
month.
But
one
thing
she
said
just
is
that
she
wants
us
to
be
mindful
of
that.
There's
a
work
going
on
across
these
various
issues
and
that
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
specific
in
what
we
think
is
needed.
A
So
we
can
make
sure
we're
not
duplicating
efforts
that
are
already
underway
and
work.
That
has
already
happened,
there's
plenty
of
opportunities
and
then
she
goes
on
to
list
many
of
them.
So
I
think
that
there's
one
thing
that
would
be
really
important
is
for
us
to
determine
what
what
would
be
the
appropriate
role
for
the
commission.
E
This
is
this
is
Guillermo
I
wonder
if
this
is.
This
is
a
moment
where
you
know
the
commission
sends
a
leather
or
some
kind
of
statement.
E
Because
that's
when,
when
issues
like
this
that
affect
a
community,
it's
when
the
role
of
the
commission
is
important
in
just
the
fact
that
the
commission
will
make
a
statement
on
what
are
the
needs
around
in.
You
know
on
the
challenges
that
those
folks
are
facing.
You
could
also
just
make
it
a
stronger
case
to
what's
already
going
on
and
the
fact
that
it
is
supported
by
the
regional
level
by
the
commission.
A
I
am
I,
don't
object
to
moving
forward
on
this
I.
Just
really
think
it's
important
that
we
follow
Sarah's
lead
because
she
did
lay
out
pretty
complicated
list
of
directions
that
this
could
go
in
in
terms
of
what
the
an
actual
ask
might
be.
That
would
actually
support
people
doing
the
work
and
people
who
are
you
know
advocating
for
themselves.
A
So
my
suggestion
is
going
to
be
that
we
wait
until
Sarah
could
be
part
of
the
conversation
and
have
have
another
conversation
to
see
what
kind
of
role
we
could
play
because
there's
not.
We
don't
really
have
a
clear-cut
issue
except
saying
we
would
like
more
surgeons,
but
that's
not.
H
I
think
one
of
the
my
Impressions
was
to
at
least
let
our
community
know
there.
There
are
resources
and
opportunities,
and
like
is
there
a
way
we
could
say
like
Maria,
you
said
you
went
to
New
Hope
I
mean
is
so
recognizing
doctors
that
do
this
type
of
gender
confirmation
surgery
would
be
important
to
let
people
know
just
to
let
the
public
know.
A
lot
of
people
are
just
like
floundering
in
there's.
H
So
much
of
this
negative
information
happening,
and
it's
like
okay,
who
is
who
in
Pittsburgh,
who
in
Pennsylvania,
might
be
one
of
the
resources
and
people
that
can
really
help
and
you
could
reach
out
to
and
whatever
I
know
like
Planned
Parenthood
has
a
sliding
scale
of
of
costs.
So
that
could
be
maybe
part
of
the
issue
too.
I
am
not
an
expert
I'm
I
appreciated,
Sarah's,
very
detailed
letter
and
information.
H
So
I
think
yes,
I,
agree
having
her
here
to
actually
speak
about
this,
as
an
expert
in
the
field
would
be
really
important
and,
of
course
Maria
you,
you
know
more
than
any
of
us.
Would
at
this
point
and
again
it's
like
for
me:
I
want
to
give
Comfort
to
friends
that
have
gone
through
this,
and
let
them
know
that,
as
a
commission,
we
have
a
concern
and
we're
trying
to.
H
A
I
suspect
that
that
exists
and
Sarah
probably
can
help
us
find
that,
because
there
are
several
organizations,
doing
work
on
advocacy
work
on
on
these
needs.
H
A
Any
other
thoughts
on
this
topic.
A
I
Richard,
thank
you
for
bringing
it
up.
I
think
it's
it's
important
that
we
shake
things
out
here,
a
little
bit
to
see
how
we
can
get
involved
and
have
an
impact
using
our
Collective
wisdom.
Any
any
other
pieces.
A
I
wanted
to
throw
up
something
for
new
business.
I
had
proposed
to
the
executive
committee
that
we
arrange
for
a
meeting
with
the
Pennsylvania
quality
caucus,
Latasha,
Jessica
Malcolm,
and
all
that
to
just
talk
about
how
we
can
most
effectively
advocate
as
a
commission
on
the
state
level,
with
the
work
that
they're
doing
on
this
legislation,
but
also
the
other,
there's
probably
other
pieces
that
we
don't
know
about.
A
Would
other
Clinic
I'd
want
to
make
a
motion
then
that
we
seek
out
that
meaning
to
at
least
have
an
initial
meaning
with
them
and
so
I'm
chairing
but
I'm
asking
I'm
making
a
motion
myself?
Is
there
a
second
for
my
emotion,
Richard,
okay,.
B
A
I
ask
for
a
motion
that
we
have
preliminary
meeting
with
the
Pennsylvania
quality
caucus
to
discuss
our
shared
agenda.
H
C
F
E
A
Foreign
okay.
Thank
you.
I
appreciate
that
this
is
a
pretty
busy
meeting
and
we
are
coming
in
15
minutes
under
schedule,
so
that
is
impressive.
A
Any
comments,
thoughts
and
announcements.
Anyone
wants
to
make.
F
I
have
a
quick
question.
Sir
I
was
scouring
our
website
portal
and
I
was
just
wondering
if
there
was
a
way
that
we
can
up
our
transparency
and
the
asks
that
we
do
have,
and
so
there's
like
a
central
place
that
we
can
say
like
if
you'd
like
to
see
what
the
commission
is
asking
for
in
these
certain
areas.
F
So
the
things
that
we
kind
of
presented
today,
like
I,
think
it
would
be
nice
to
if
I
was
a
representative
or
even
just
a
regular
pittsburgher,
to
see
what
ideas
the
commission
are
are
working
on.
I
couldn't
find
that
on
the
website
or
Facebook
and
I
just
thought.
That
might
be
something
interesting
as
well
to
to
have
as
a
tool
for
Outsiders.
F
I
could
work
on
something
yeah
yeah,
just
simply
like
I,
don't
know
how
much
access
we
had
to
like
posting
to
our
page
on
the
website
yeah.
We.
A
We
have
to
submit
it
to
everything
to
the
team
and
they
they
updated
for
us.
Okay,.
A
Have
you
seen
the
the
goals.
F
Yeah,
okay
goals
and
then
I
think
those
are
those
are
great,
but
then
I
think
like
really
getting
down
just
to
like
the
specific
asks
that
we're
having
so
this
gender
affirming
care
ask,
and
this
like
just
being
very
specific,
because
I
might
be
a
doctor
that
is
doing
gender
reforming
care
in
Pittsburgh,
see
that
on
the
list
and
be
like
reach
out
in
that
way
to
say
that
I
could
help
or
participate
or
facilitate
something
as
well.
So
it
might
just
be
a
tool
too
well.
F
A
B
F
Kathy
and
I
just
became
the
President
and
Vice
President
of
the
Urban
League
Young
professionals
and
we're
still
going
through
a
lot
just
to
just
to
get
that
up
and
running.
But
if
we're
going
to
postpone
it
to
like
the
next
meeting,
that
can
definitely
be
a
possibility
as
well.
Once
we
get
our
footing
in
us
and.
D
C
F
I
Yeah
I
mean
I
I
love.
The
idea,
I
think
it's
a
great
idea,
but,
like
Sue
said,
we
have
to
submit
changes
now
on
Facebook.
We
can
make
our
own
changes.
C
H
A
I
didn't
lure
him
in
well
enough,
so
any
other
announcements
go.
H
Ahead,
oh,
go
ahead:
oh
I,
just
just
really
quickly.
I
just
got
back
from
the
Fire
Island
Dance
Festival,
which
is
a
big
fundraiser
for
Broadway
cares,
and
now
they
do
social
justice
grants
we
raised
over
well
it'll,
be
about
seven
hundred
thousand
dollars
and
I
personally
met
this
most
amazing
choreographer.
His
name
is
Raja
feather
Kelly.
H
He
was
a
choreographer
for
a
strange
loop
on
Broadway
that
dealt
with
black
queer
experiences
when
the
Tony
award
for
best
musical
and
we
have
a
connection
with
Kyle
Abraham,
so
I'm
going
to
work
on
trying
to
get
his
new
show
they.
He
he
his
company,
performed
at
the
festival
to
come
to
Pittsburgh
in
some
way
so
and
it
deals
with
black
queer
experiences
in
New
Orleans.
But
it's
it's
a
very
Dynamic
presentation
of
representation
and
to
see
that
in
art.
H
This
is
why
I
love,
dance
and
art
things
that
are
thrown
on
the
stage
that
in
the
Tony
Awards
on
that
were
telecast
to
hear
the
words
and
lyrics
Black
and
queer
in
the
same
song
was
very
powerful.
So
that's
about
it.
J
I
have
one
quick
announcement:
I
will
be
joining
the
governor's,
lgbtqi
plus
commission.
The
office
reached
out
to
me
and
I
received
my
letter
in
commission
stuff
going
on,
so
that
commission
is
being
re-impaneled
and
we're
looking
to
set
our
first
Statewide
commission
date
sometime
end
of
this
month,
the
first
part
of
August,
so
something
to
look
forward
to.
A
L
No
nothing
nothing's
going
on
our
queer
Equity
committee
has
has
met
a
couple
of
times
over
the
summer
we're
working
right
now.
Our
big
issue
is
we're
not
real
happy
with
a
an
elementary
curriculum
adoption.
That's
going
on
that.
We
one
of
our
members
was
put
on
the
selection
committee.
For
it
you
know
to
make
sure
that
there
was
lgbtq
IA
representation
and
none
of
the
the
curriculum
sets
that
came
through
included
anything
including
the
one
that
they
ended
up,
adopting
that
our
member
also
voted
against.
L
So
we're
not
we're
we're
kind
of
in
the
middle
of
that
fight
right
now,
but
so
we
are
active
but
yeah.
It
is
still
summer,
so
you
know,
but
that
was.
A
You
and
I
had
this
a
chat
about
this
earlier.
There
was
a
situation
last
that
came
to
light
last
week
of
a
woman
soccer
coach
at
Geneva
College.
She
was
an
out
lesbian
and
she
she
was
fired
because
of
some
con
posts
she
put
on
her
personal
Instagram.
A
That
was
a
belief
set
to
private
and
it's
I've.
She
accepted
my
friend
request,
but
I
and
I
reached
out
to
her,
but
I
haven't
heard
from
her.
But
you
know:
I
am
I,
don't
know
the
whole
story,
but
I.
You
know
it
doesn't
seem
like
she
doesn't
seem
to
be
connected
to
LGBT
groups
to
some
of
the
ministry
groups.
You
know
so
I'm
hoping
we
can
contact
her
to
make
sure
she
has
support,
because
I
know
this
has
got
to
be
a
devastating
experience
and
I.
A
A
Yeah
well,
if
I'll
circulate
the
article,
but
if
anyone
knows
her
or
has
connections,
she
just
seemed
to
me
that
you
know
getting
her
connected
with
like
Jeff,
Miller
and
Kathy,
and
you
know
the
Derek
folks,
you
know
would
be
a
compassionate
thing
to
do
and
it's
just
gonna
suck.
You
know
she
took
their
soccer
team
from
nothing
to
like
some
sort
of
national
something
Regional
big
famous
soccer,
because.
A
Yeah
so
some
reward
all
the
coaches
that
she
hired
quit
and
protest,
so
which
isn't
great,
but
it
does
show
it's
coming
closer
to
home.
So
all
right,
well,
I,
think
we're
done
early,
sorry
see
what
Sarah
does
next
month.
Thank
you,
everyone
for
being
here
tonight
and
all
your
contributions.
It's
been
a
busy
meeting,
but
we'll
look
forward
to
we're
not
taking
August
off.
There's
no
recess
for
the
queer
community,
so
have
a
good
night.
