Name is Tara Matthews I'm from Baltimore Maryland, but I go to guess: B I'm, a graduate student at Pitt.

So public policy, public.

Policy, yes, policy, research and analysis.

And which department are you in I work.

In innovation in performance.

So you're in the department that we like the best because.

Know in tech and startups and all that kind of stuff, and so we're really excited to see how innovation of performance engages our community and it helps us grow. That's.

Exactly what we're trying to do? Yeah.

So what are your takeaways from this first mayoral a me one.

Thing I'm seeing is I'm very excited about how willing they are to engage with the public yeah.

Been in Pittsburgh for about seven years now and I've never seen any kind of open access to the administration like this, and so that's really really cool and I. Think people appreciate it as well. Yeah.

And how long you been here now in.

Pittsburgh, seven seven years in the.

Since May, so not that long.

A

Oh so you're just getting more about just.

Getting warmed up so.

What specific kind of things do they have you guys do it like you specifically, every.

Day, it's something different yeah.

Project is the open data initiative. That's the what so I'm personally running the PGH data forum, which is a way for people to tell us what they want to see. So in the next few months, we'll be releasing our first few data sets and we want to make sure they're the things that people actually can use and actually need. So, hopefully, by pulling the audience and crowdsourcing ideas.

Have a bunch of data sets they're immediately applicable to what people want so.

A

Who are people that are commenting on? Is it mostly academics or is it mostly tech folks or is the everyday person person? Excuse me coming around and making suggestions you guys it's.

Interesting I thought it's going to be mostly tech, savvy people, but I've heard requests and gotten emails from all kinds of people of people from within the education community. People in the building community people, just like regular students and so I've, been encouraging all these people to coast, and so you think that they're all gonna be about technological issues that we've had building permits. We've had questions about dumping zones, we've had questions about landlord complaints, so you never know it's a lot of different people and that's what I'm excited about the most and.

That's neat because the more diversity you have sort of in that data set right, the better. You can really know what the neatest definitely.

Because we don't want to skew towards the people who are more tech, literate, the people were more savvy. The people who use sites like mind mixer and read it more often so I'm very, very glad getting out and we're getting a lot of different, varied responses. Good.
