A
Good
afternoon
I'm
Ron
godot
Vic
I'm,
the
founder
and
CEO
a
company
in
Pittsburgh
called
win
stacks.
We
manufacture
vertical
axis
wind
turbines
and
install
them.
We
are
located
down
in
Pittsburgh
strip
district
and
it's
really
an
honor
for
for
us
to
be
here
today.
You
know,
thank
you
very
much.
We're
happy
to
play
some
small
role
in
in
participating
in
this
kind
of
revolution.
That
is
green
energy.
A
So
what
you're
looking
at
right
here
is
a
installation
that
we
just
recently
did
in
ligonier
Pennsylvania,
but
and
that's
the
the
two
wind
stacks
that
we
installed
out
there.
So
what's
what's
interesting
about
our
product.
Is
we've
chosen
to
service
the
small
energy
market,
whereas
wind
turbines
in
general
have
just
increasingly
gotten
larger
and
larger
they've,
quite
literally
push
themselves
offshore
we've
chosen
to
stick
in
a
smaller
market.
A
There
there's
a
trend
in
the
utility
business,
particularly
in
Europe,
but
it's
just
starting
now,
New
York
just
passed
some
new
legislations.
Just
yesterday,
there's
really
a
trend
away
from
centralized
power
to
distributed
power.
You
know
our
our
infrastructure
is
aging
and
you
there
every
time
we
have
some
type
of
a
national
disaster.
It
kind
of
comes
to
the
forefront
places
like
New
Jersey,
Staten
Island
out
of
power
weeks
at
a
time.
So
every
time
that
happens,
our
phone
rings
off
the
hook.
So
it's
an
interesting
market.
A
I
can
talk
about
the
technology
all
day,
but
what
I'd
rather
focus
on
is
why
are
we
in
pittsburgh?
I'm
originally
from
Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh?
Is
it's
it's
home
to
me,
but
we
really
could
have
set
up
our
facility
anywhere
and
frankly,
we
looked
in
Colorado,
Wyoming,
Florida,
etc,
but
we
kept
gravitating
back
to
Pittsburgh
and
the
real
reason.
The
main
reason
in
our
location
decision
criteria
is
because
we
still
make
things
here.
A
That's
pretty
rare
in
metro
areas,
so
all
of
our
employees
at
whim
stacks
were
hired,
they
were
unemployed
and
we
actually
put
them
through
a
training
program
because
everything
we're
doing
we're
using
completely
new
in
green
technologies,
low
VOCs
through
the
entire
distribution
process.
Even
our
products
are
thought
of
in
terms
of
cradle
to
grave.
Our
foundations
are
even
recycled
utility
poles
that
we
buy,
and
so
with
that
in
mind,
pittsburgh
has
this
core
of
skills
and
skill
set
to
kind
of
technical
aptitudes.
A
If
you
will
that
we
can
train
people
here
and
keep
God
and
keep
growing
to
our
workforce.
So
frankly,
we
can't
build
our
units
fast
enough,
we're
in
about
10,000
square
feet
in
the
strip
district,
we're
in
the
Alcoa
founding
locations
that
we
like
to
think.
There's
good
manufacturing,
karma
there.
Of
course,
whenever
a
tool
goes
missing,
we
blame
the
ghost
of
Alcoa,
but
that's
it.
That's!
Okay,
we're
already
looking
to
quadruple
our
size
every
time
we
install
one
of
these.
We
have
them
as
far
away
as
Kansas
to
down
south
in
Virginia.
