A
Name
is
Michael
horvat
that
I'm
the
acting
field
office
director
for
the
United
States
Citizenship
and
Immigration
Services
Pittsburgh
field
office.
The
notice
under
Morgan
bike
helmet
today
in
recognition
of
open
streets,
I'm
thrilled
I'm
thrilled
that
I
was
able
to
like
in
for
today's
ceremony
and
I
think
this
is
a
first
for
the
agency.
A
I
would
like
to
thank
the
open
streets
partners
like
Pittsburgh
the
county,
executive's
office,
the
mayor's
office
and
the
welcoming
initiatives
of
both
the
county
and
the
city
that
are
helping
the
next
stakeholders
to
our
immigrant
community
and
making
our
region
a
better
place
for
immigrants.
To
begin
the
formal
portion
of
today's
ceremony,
I
would
like
to
introduce
Amanda
Negro
to
sing
the
national
anthem.
Please
rise.
C
C
A
A
A
D
Thank
you,
Michael
and,
first
of
all,
welcome
welcome
to
Pittsburgh
welcome
to
western
Pennsylvania
what
a
great
day
to
do
this.
The
Mayor
was
so
welcoming,
he's
close
to
streets
just
for
you
to
come
into
it.
The
open
streets
is
just
one
of
those
great
things
that
we
have
her
in
Pittsburgh,
but
we've
had
in
Pittsburgh
for
many
many
generations,
and
many
decades
was
a
welcoming
and
influx
of
immigrants
and
then
for
a
few
decades.
D
We
did
for
lots
of
reasons,
many
of
which
were
economic
opportunities
that
weren't
here
people
have
by
General,
Mike
grandfathers
and
great-grandfather's
generation,
along
with
the
mayor
came
here,
and
working
factories
came
here
to
work
in
the
mines
in
the
mills
and
then
that
went
away
now.
Those
opportunities
are
here
again
not
just
in
the
mines
in
the
mill
fit
in
in
our
universities,
in
our
robotics
institutes
and
our
financial
endeavor
is
energy,
etc.
So
it
is
great.
D
So
we
are
welcoming
you
with
the
lie
that
you
are
here
to
bring
the
traditions
of
where
you
came
from
here.
The
festival's,
the
the
band's,
all
the
different
things
that
mix
into
it,
makes
Pittsburgh
a
special
place,
you're
going
to
add
to
that
mix.
You're
going
to
add
to
that
diversity
that
we
need
here.
The
only
thing
we
all
do
come
together
is
on
Sunday
afternoons
in
the
fall
and
now
for
any
Washington
fans
that
are
here
right
now:
lateral
fish
for
the
Pirates
of
penguins
of
the
Steelers.
D
A
E
Tv9
new
Americans
welcome
it's
an
honor,
and
this
is
the
third
ceremony
that
I've
had
the
opportunity
to
be
a
part
of
in
the
past
year
and
every
time
and
you're
raising
your
right
hand
and
you're
saying
those
words.
It
hits.
The
heart
I
know
that
the
love
of
the
countries
that
you
come
from
is
there
and
I
hope
that
it
will
always
be
there,
but
I
hope
that
your
children
and
your
grandchildren
will
know
about
it.
E
You'll
be
able
to
treat
teach
them
the
customs,
but
at
the
same
time,
to
allow
them
to
become
part
of
America
part
of
the
dream.
Part
of
the
the
idea
of
why
you
would
want
to
come
here.
My
grandfather
came
from
Italy,
he
didn't
have.
She
was
in
a
second
grade
education.
Hardly
any
money
couldn't
even
afford
to
bring
his
wife
with
them.
She
and
their
baby
stayed
in
Italy.
He
thought
he
was
going
to
go
back,
but
eventually
he
decided
to
stay
and
to
bring
them
in
start
his
family.
E
My
mom
was
the
first
person
born
in
this
country
in
my
family
and
the
traditions
of
daily
stay
with
me.
You
know
today's
such
an
amazing
day.
Not
only
do
we
have
open
streets
going
on
and
yoga
invites,
but
this
natural
impatient
ceremony
of
no
American
I
think
for
some
kids
are
exploiting
their
just
like
I.
Don't
look
any
of
that
stuff?
E
You
know
it's
like
that's
part
of
America,
diverse
opinions,
that's
fine,
but
all
around
you
what
a
great
way,
what
a
great
metaphor
to
be
able
to
say,
open
streets
in
an
open
country
and
open
heart.
If
you
look
around
the
cranes
are
operating
on
a
sunday
building
the
towers
of
that
new
Pittsburgh.
That
rich
talked
about
the
new
industry,
and
now
you
part
of
that
as
well.
A
A
F
Want
to
thank
mrs.
Mandela
mr.
Peduto
for
being
such
great
warmer
back
for
me.
I
won't
take
too
much
time.
I've
been
asked
us
to
speak
on
behalf
of
a
new
country,
new
Americans,
since
they
are
now
just
a
little
bit
about
me
originally
from
the
United
Kingdom
actually
from
Wales
is
a
very,
very
small
country.
When
three
million
people
very
blue-collar,
hard-working
environment,
that
loves
it,
sport
sounds
very
familiar.
F
So
I
came
to
America
for
the
first
time.
Almost
20
years
ago,
when
I
first
joined
an
American
company
in
the
UK
and
fell
in
love
immediately,
I
actually
literally
fell
in
love,
as
that's
when
I
met.
My
then
wife,
who
was
from
later
and
from
that,
although
that
in
and
of
itself
didn't
work
out
exactly
as
I
planned,
I
got
to
absolutely
beautiful
and
amazing,
kids,
Joshua
and
Lexi.
F
F
What
I
loved
about
America
in
general
to
begin
with
was
just
the
hard
working
environment,
the
very
supportive
environment
and
environment
that
celebrate
success,
not
one
that
found
on
it
or
was
jealous
of
it.
I
found
that
in
particular
here
in
Pittsburgh,
the
businesses
here,
the
educational
environment,
the
magical
environment,
Topsy,
fantastic
ipod,
great
success
here
in
my
career
and
I,
look
forward
to
continuing
that
with
a
fantastic.
F
It
is
now
known
as
prof
kindness
for
my
fellow
new
Americans
I
wish
you
well
I
can
imagine
that
this
is
a
big
day
for
every
one
of
you
in
the
entire
family
and
I'm
sure
that
this
has
become
a
lot.
The
end
of
a
long
road
for
you,
I
wish
you
well
I,
can
imagine
just
a
lot
of
hard
work,
we're
continuing
the
future
and
you
can
reap
the
rewards
and
successively
in
the
matter.
Thank
you
very
much.
A
A
D
A
As
we
conclude
today's
ceremony,
I
want
to
note
that
our,
although
you
are
now
citizens
of
the
United
States,
it
does
not
mean
that
you
abandon
your
customs
and
traditions.
Immediately
before
the
ceremony
we
had
yoga
in
the
square
which
comes
from
india
following
the
ceremony
in
just
a
few
minutes,
and
I
hope
some
of
you
brought
your
dancing
shoes
because
there's
going
to
be
salsa
dancing,
it
comes
from
latin
america.
I.
