A
B
Good
morning,
everyone,
my
name,
is
Michael
hora
bed
and
I'm
the
field
office
director
for
the
United
States
Citizenship
and
Immigration
Services
Pittsburgh
field
office,
I'd
like
to
welcome
the
ten
candidates
for
naturalization.
Today
there
are
family
members
and
guests
who
have
chosen
to
join
them
for
this
special
occasion.
I'd
also
like
to
thank
the
northern
area
multi
service
center
for
hosting
today's
ceremony
and
for
welcoming
Pittsburgh
and
the
office
of
mayor,
william
Peduto
did
for
their
efforts
in
coordinating
the
ceremony
today.
B
B
In
a
moment,
I
will
be
administering
the
oath
of
allegiance
to
the
ten
candidates
for
naturalization.
Each
of
them
is
a
refugee.
It
is
fitting
that
we
are
here
today
and
recognition
of
World
Refugee
day
to
celebrate
this
accomplishment
in
their
lives.
I
would
like
to
read
an
excerpt
from
a
White
House
statement.
Recognizing
this
occasion,
World
Refugee
day
is
a
solemn
occasion
for
the
united
states
to
join
other
partners
in
the
international
community
and
recognizing
the
dignity,
value
and
potential
of
every
one
of
these
lives.
B
B
B
On
behalf
of
the
United
States
government,
it
is
my
pleasure
to
present
these
applicants
for
naturalization.
Each
of
the
ten
candidates
has
been
personally
examined
under
oath
by
a
designated
officer.
Each
has
demonstrated
in
understanding
of
the
english
language
unless
exempt,
and
a
knowledge
and
understanding
of
the
fundamentals
of
history
and
principles
of
the
form
of
government
of
the
united
states.
Each
has
been
found
to
be
a
person
of
good
moral
character
attached
to
the
principles
of
the
Constitution
of
the
United
States
and
well-disposed
to
the
good
order
and
happiness
of
the
United
States.
B
B
Please
repeat
after
me,
I
hereby
declare
on
oath
that
I
absolutely
and
entirely
renounce
and
abjure
all
Allegiance
and
fidelity
to
any
foreign
prince
potentate,
State
or
sovereignty
of
whom
or
which
I
have
here.
24
been
a
subject
or
citizen
that
I
will
support
and
defend
the
Constitution
and
the
laws
of
the
United
States
of
America
against
all
enemies,
foreign
and
domestic.
B
C
D
B
My
agency
does
very
important
work
and
it's
great
that
we're
able
to
get
out
into
the
community
and
showcase
the
good
work
we
do
and
the
people
that
we
serve,
but
all
that
we
do
would
not
be
possible
if
it
wasn't
for
our
partners,
our
community-based
partners
and
our
Civic
partners,
and
at
this
time
I
would
like
to
introduce
the
executive
director
of
a
job.
Oh,
it
stands
for
acculturation
for
justice
and
peace
out
reach
their
CEO
yinka
Aganga
Williams.
Please
join
me
in
welcoming
her
to
talk.
E
Thank
you
all
for
being
here.
First
of
all,
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
USCIS
thanks
for
the
great
job
you've
been
doing.
There
was
a
time
when,
if
you
are
going
to
be
a
citizen,
all
of
us
were
afraid
to
even
get
to
the
doorstep
of
their
office,
but
today
we
go
there.
We
smile,
we
laugh.
We
answer
all
the
questions
and
in
five
minutes
we
become
citizens,
Thank,
You,
USCIS,.
E
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
all
the
other
agencies
as
well
that
collaborates
who
have
prepared
you,
my
agency,
noms
jewish
family,
catholic
charities,
but
also
g
plc
for
all
the
English
that
you
have
taught
over
the
years
and
the
result
of
it
is
what
you
see
when
it
comes
to
become
citizens.
So
we
really
really
thank
you
for
everything,
so
many
other
agencies
do
help
and
groomers
and
help
us
to
get
to
where
we
are
and
encourage
us
that
we
should
become
citizens
to
the
citizens.
E
I
want
to
say
always
remember,
question
number
12,
nobody
is
above
the
law,
everybody
must
obey
the
law.
That
is
very,
very
important.
It's
because
the
American
citizen
step
the
law.
That's
why
we
want
to
come
to
this
country.
They
kept
the
law.
Everything
was
good,
so
we
came
here.
Let
us
help
to
keep
the
law
of
oil
so
that
everything
continues
to
be
good
for
us,
but
also
for
the
people
that
will
kind
of
copy.
So
thank
you
again.
Congratulations
welcoming
this
word,
which
is
the
mayor's
office.
E
E
B
D
Hi
everyone
welcome
what
a
beautiful
beautiful
day
my
privilege
to
be
here
with
you
again,
as
Michael
said:
I'm
Betty
Cruz
in
the
office
of
mayor
Peduto,
mayor
mayor
sends
his
regrets
that
he
cannot
be
here
personally
but
on
his
behalf,
I
want
to
say
congratulations
to
our
new
Americans
and,
most
importantly,
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
choosing
to
continue
your
life
here
in
Pittsburgh.
Thank
you
for
the
contributions
that
you
are
making
every
day.
Thank
you
for
sharing
your
culture
for
keeping
your
culture
for
lifting
it
up
in
our
city.
D
Thank
you
for
all
that
you're
bringing
and
keep
that
as
you
continue
your
journey
as
an
American
as
still
very
much
rooted
in
who
you
are,
and
the
history
that
brought
you
to
this
place
to
this
moment
to
Pittsburgh
today.
So
for
that,
thank
you,
I!
Also.
Yes,
let's
give
them
a
round
of
profit
from
Jason.
D
He
was
also
talking
to
one
of
my
friends
a
moment
ago
from
the
Bhutanese
community
about
the
importance
of
this
day
and
this
opportunity
to
remember,
while
we're
here
celebrating,
we
have
to
remember
the
many
hundreds
of
thousands
of
refugees
are
displaced
around
the
world
and
if
you
can
just
join
me
in
a
moment
of
silence,
to
remember
those
refugees
that
are
still
struggling
that
are
still
fighting
for
their
lives.
We
can
just
pause
for
a
moment.
B
C
So
when
I
was
three
years
old,
we
have
to
let
our
country
for
some
reason
and
we
came
to
new
palace,
a
refugee,
and
we
spent
our
20
years
in
a
campus
at
struggling
our
life
in
there.
We
have
nothing
to
do
over
there,
the
stay-at-home
go
to
school
data.
After
all,
after
spending
our
20
years,
we
get
an
opportunity
to
come
to
him
a
United
State
of
America.
We
know
from
UNH
here
they
were
giving
us
a
solution
of
like
heartless
resettlement
resettlement
through
that
we
feel
the
application
to
come
over
here.
C
To
do
all
the
background
check-
and
we
came
over
here
and
since
we
arrived
in
here
before
we
arrived
in
here,
we
didn't
have
any
any
dreams
and
it
twice
after
we
arrived
here.
We
have
a
dream
we
had,
which
we
can
make
it
happen
in
this
country.
For
example,
we
can
work
hard
to
get
something
like
we
can
dream
our
house
by
ourselves,
not
in
the
file,
not
in
Bhutan
and
also
since
we've
been
in
this
country.
We
had
a
lot
of
opportunities
like
education.
C
C
And
I
would
like
to
thank
you
all.
The
people
who
helped
us
to
get
in
this
country
in
this
country
and
I
would
like
to
thank
you
all.
The
peoples
of
America
who
helped
us
to
come
over
here
and
also
I
wish
I
will
define
this
country
is
the
opportunity
of
the
land
where
we
can
have
lot
of
opportunity
opportunity
to
do,
and,
lastly,
I
will
proudly
say
that
I'm,
the
United
States
I'm
the
citizen
of
United
estate.
Thank
you.
God
bless
america.
Thank
you.
B
Thank
you
for
sharing
with
us
today
again
hearing
your
stories.
It
helps
everyone
to
understand
what
you've
been
through
and
I
can
urge
you
to
continue
to
share
your
stories.
Share
your
heritage
with
your
families
with
your
friends,
so
there's
a
greater
understanding
of
what
everybody
does
in
order
to
get
to
this
point.
At
this
time,
I
would
like
to
invite
any
of
the
children
in
the
audience
who
would
like
to
come
forward
to
help
lead
us
in
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
F
B
B
At
the
beautiful
site,
on
behalf
of
the
United
States
Citizenship
and
Immigration
Services,
congratulations
to
our
new
citizens.
Thank
you
to
all
the
family,
members
and
friends
who
have
chosen
to
join
them
on
this
very
special.
In
solemn
occasion,
I
want
to
thank
here
and
northern
area
of
multi
services
for
coordinating
today's
events.
I'd
also
like
to
thank
yanko,
the
ganga
williams,
allison
reefer
and
betty
cruise
for
participating
today
to
our
new
citizens.
It's
been
a
long
and
perilous
journey
for
you.
You
have
faced
hardships
that
I
couldn't
even
possibly
imagine
there's
a
saying.
B
Those
who
do
not
learn
from
history
are
doomed
to
repeat
it.
As
you
begin
this
new
chapter
in
your
lives,
I
urge
you
to
continue
to
share
your
stories
so
that
others
may
learn
from
them.
Cotillon
continue
to
celebrate
your
cultural
heritage
as
you
embrace
your
United
States
Citizenship,
take
advantage
of
this
opportunity
and
be
active
in
your
community
and
participate
in
civic
life.
In
closing,
I
would
like
to
be
the
first
to
greet
you
as
United
States
citizens
by
saying
welcome
home.
