Okay,
I'll
I'd,
make
a
motion
to
accept
in
our
agenda.
Packets
for
this
evening
is
a
letter
of
resignation
from
upper
township
trustee
craig
thomas
for
the
ironton
cemetery
board,
and
I'd
make
a
motion
to
accept
that
letter
of
resignation.
A
Bob
thank
you.
Roll
call
please.

A
Thank
you.
His
letter
of
resignation
for
craig
thomas
is
accepted,
and
now
I
would
like
I
would
entertain
a
motion
to
open
nominations
to
fill
his
vacancy.
B
A

D
A
I'm
sorry
any
other
nominations.

Six
o'clock
I'd
like
to
call
to
order
the
ironton
city
council
meeting
of
january
14,
2021
happy
new
year,
glad
we're
out
of
2020
to
all.
First
we'll
have
our
invocation
given
to
us
this
evening
by
father
huffman
from
saint
joseph
saint
lawrence
and
saint
mary's.
Okay,
and
afterwards
we
will
have
the
pledge
of
allegiance.
I
know
it's
a
little
dark
in
here
tonight.

A
G
Craig
last
week,
the
mayor
shared
a
email
that
was
sent
by
joe
unger
concerning
some
issues
he
had
with
zoning
in
the
downtown
area,
the
types
of
businesses
that
were
included
in
that
b3
zone
I
would
like
to-
and
I
know,
we've
had
discussions
on
this
and
strategic
plan-
have
a
zoning
workshop
to
discuss
various
zoning
issues
that
are
brought
to
our
attention.
G
I'd
like
to
have
collaboration
with
city
council
mayor
susan
dooley,
then
our
solicitor
also
to
see
if
we
can
possibly
come
to
some
direction
in
which
we
want
to
go.
G
A
Yeah,
I'm
glad
you
brought
that
up,
because
I
I
told
I
told
joe
on
the
strategic
planning
committee
meeting,
that
I
would
gladly
call
together
some
kind
of
zoning
workshop
to
analyze
large
areas
through
town,
not
only
to
take
a
look
at
business
districts,
but
also
residential
areas,
because
we,
we
all
seem
to
echo
the
same
thing
over
and
over
and
over
again
an
audience
participation
about
zoning
concerns.
A
I'm
glad
you
brought
that
up
thanks
for
bringing
that
up
and
also
I
the
the
letter
made
it
seem
as
if
as
if
we
could
do
something
about
zoning
in
one
ordinance
tonight
and
that's
that's
not
the
case.
Unfortunately,
the
reason
that
we
would
need
some
kind
of
workshop
just
for
clarification
for
citizens,
especially
to
specifically
address
mr
unger's
letter,
there's
a
process
that
process
starts
with
legislation
then
then
goes
to
a
commission.
A
Then
has
a
public
hearing
period
has
a
30-day
period
to
get
public
input
and
then
goes
to
three
separate
readings
and
three
separate
council
meetings,
so
you're
you're
talking
about
at
least
a
four-month
turnaround
time
if
everything
goes
as
as
planned
and
there's
no
objections
and
there's
no
stumbling
blocks.
A
So
it's
not
a
short
process,
which
is
why
we
have
kind
of
collaborated
in
our
strategic
planning
committee
meetings
about
really
putting
together
a
large-scale
effort
of
doing
something
across
the
board
across
town
and
and
I'm
I'm
fully
committed
to
doing
that
with
you.
Nate
and
I
know,
there's
been
several
other
council
members
that
have
expressed
interest
in
that.
So
we'll
we'll
get
that
underway
very
soon.
B
E
J
I
just
want
to
give
you
guys
some
updates
on
some
steps.
We've
been
taking
to
clean
up
properties
here
in
town
john
sites.
Our
environmental
compliance
coordinator
has
been
working
his
way
from
our
south
in
town,
in
the
3200
block
towards
and
we're
working
towards
hanging
rock
we've
made
it
to
about
the
700
block
so
far
on
addressing
a
lot
of
slum
and
blight
issues
that
we
have
here
in
town
in
our
alleyways.
More
specifically,
we
have
about
60
letters
of
violation,
going
out
warning
to
the
property
owners
tomorrow
or
on
monday.
J
J
Well,
on
the
positive
side
of
things
with
this
is
our
smart
gov
application
that
we
talked
about
for
code
enforcement
back
about
this
time
last
year,
they've
now
almost
you
know
completed
all
the
steps
in
the
design
and
the
development
of
the
app
to
cater
to
our
needs,
and
that
should
be
up
and
running
here
soon
and
we
are
about
to
start
the
training
in-house,
so
we
can
make
things
more
efficient
and
on
that
side
note,
this
application
and
the
ability
to
submit
any
type
of
complaints
and
fill
out
a
form
will
be
available
on
this
to
the
residents
and
for
our
city
workers.
J
H
Quick
question
for
nate
on
that
the
meeting
about
the
the
zoning
workshop
did
I
couldn't
I
may
have
missed
her
did.
Did
he
include?
Do
we
need
to
include
the
zoning
committee
on
that.
H
Okay
good
deal.
Thank
you
next
thing
is
just
real
quick.
H
I
know
I
sent
you
a
picture,
but
I
mentioned
to
john
sites
what
we
were
talking
about
with
the
leads
and
everything,
and
he
put
me
on
to
a
piece
of
machinery.
That's
it's
an
industrial
leaf,
collector.
H
It's
a
pull
behind,
so
it's
a
tow
behind
and
I
just
wanted
to
make
council
aware
that
he
did
bring
up
that
option
and
I'm
going
to
he's,
sent
me
to
a
company
and
I'm
going
to
email
them
just
to
maybe
just
get
some
information
to
pass
along
to
you
guys
and
see
if
that
could
be
an
option.
For
you
know
some
things
we've
discussed.
K
Okay,
I
just
wanted
to
reiterate
something
or
touch
on
what
the
mayor
was
talking
about
with
john
sites
and
the
blighted
property.
We
have
also
started
on
our
nuisance
letters.
K
We
have
sent
some
out
brigham
helped
me
with
those
council
passed
several
months
ago,
where
we're
getting
a
lot
of
nuisance
calls
now
we're
at
the
end
of
the
year.
We
have
already
sent
some
out,
but
we
will
be
sending
more
out
just
to
bring
council
up
to
speed
on
that
ordinance.
A
A
D
B
F
D
H
D
E
D
A
Reading
we
had
a
linkedin
in
finance,
but
I
am
I
I
cut
off
any
anybody
or
potentially
cut
off
anybody
that
wasn't
on
finance.
So
if
there's
any,
if
there's
any
clarification
that
any
of
the
other
council
members
need
and
also
failed
to
mention
in
finance
that
that
that's
one
of
those
ordinances
that
has
a
february
one
start
date,
so
it
something
that
has
to
be
asked
as
an
emergency
to
enact
february,
one
say
that
our
employees
are
covered
by
their
health
insurance.
B
D
F
B
B
F
F
I
would
really
like
to
have
a
copy
of
one
of
the
blank
letters
that
we're
sending.
I
think,
there's
two
different
ones
that
pam
talked
about
one,
and
I
think
there
was
a
second
one
earlier
in
the
meeting
that
we
talked
about,
but
so
many
times
these
people
get
these
letters,
and
you
know
I'm
on
their
target
list.
They
call
one,
though,
what
in
the
world's
going
on
I've,
never
even
seen
the
letter.
So
I
can't
really,
you
know,
be
given
any
kind
of
official
thoughts
on
it
or
anything
else.
F
So
do
you
think
you
could
could
have
somebody
mail,
the
letters
out
I
mean
I
want
them.
I
don't
know
father
if
all
the
council
members
want
them
or
not,
but
we're
the
ones
that
hear
about
it
once
they're
once
they
hit
the
mail.
A
Yeah,
besides
nuisance
nuisance,
property
letter
pam,
can
you
take
care
of
that
and
then
and
the
other
one
was?
Was
the
slum
and
blight
code
enforcement
or
sam?
Can
you
take
care
of
that.
J
Reasons
whether
it's
for
you
know
a
lot
of
them
like
I'm
looking,
I
have
a
list
of
all
the
people
that
are
getting
them
and
it's
mostly
couches
or
mattresses
or
trash
or
recliners,
are
a
big
one
tvs
just
sitting
out
on
their
property
by
the
alley
or
but
yeah.
We
can
show
you
what
it
looks
like,
though,.
K
K
F
K
F
I
will
do
that.
You
want
to
have
a
an
extra
meeting
in
here,
like
we
do
every
week
every
meeting
executive
session
we
just
talked
about
dogs
barking
or
whatever.
