For
the
record,
I
will
state
that
the
draft
presented
for
the
board's
consideration
tonight
incorporates
all
of
the
substantive
and
more
minor,
formatting
or
grammatical
request
for
changes
that
have
been
discussed
since
December.
So
we've
heard
this
December
of
2019
January
and
February
2020,
so
all
of
your
feedback
has
been
incorporated,
but
we've
reformatted
the
the
code
itself
to
hopefully
allow
for
more
usability.
Since
we
have
had
so
many
changes.
B

A
A
Just
been
a
three-month
process:
okay,
too
bad.
Thank
you
very
much.
Okay.
We
have
a
motion.
Second,
all
in
favor
of
approving
the
rewrite
of
the
special
tax
assessment
for
historic
properties
in
the
city
of
Aitkin,
with
the
that
one
change
on
that
Chuck
had
mentioned
all
in
favor
of
that
register.
Back
in
okay,.
D
You
my
name
is
bill:
Reynolds,
a
252
Old
Market,
Street
I,
am
the
president
of
the
Friends
of
the
library
in
the
applicant
I'd
like
to
introduce
some
of
my
associates.
First
of
all,
mr.
Brian
Sanders,
who
is
the
county
assistant,
administrator,
Turin,
Anderson
and
JT
Pennington
from
the
firm
mazdan,
passin,
macmillan,
past
and
smith,
and
of
course
you
know,
Mary
Jo
Dawson,
the
library
director
of
the
for
for
County
a
BBE.
D
D
Last
November
we
stood
before
you
with
an
application
and
I
want
to
compliment.
Mr.
chairman,
you
and
the
board
on
your
outstanding
foresight
and
wisdom
in
suggesting
that
we
look
at
a
front
entrance
elevator.
We
were,
as
you
recall,
proposing
the
rear
entrance.
Elevator
just
be
raised
to
a
DA
standards.
So
with
that
advice
we
went
back
and
went
to
the
drawing
board.
We
also
had
some
public
input.
We
had
a
survey
monkey
survey
and
we
also
did
a
month-long
survey
of
library
users
and
they
also
said
we
need
a
front
library
elevator.
D
So
we
went
back
and
chairman
law.
You
would
appreciate
this
as
an
architect.
We
scrapped
all
the
plans
that
have
been
drawn
up
for
the
rear
entrance
and
we
have
developed
new
plans
for
a
front
elevator
entrance
and
we're
here
tonight
to
present
those
and
ask
your
input,
and
hopefully
your
your
agreement
so
with
that
I'd
like
to
turn
it
over
to
tours
Anderson
Turin
Anderson
to
walk
you
through
our
plans.
So
thank
you
for
that
great
foresight
and
wisdom
getting
us
to
the
right
place.
It
was
a
team
effort.
A
A
E
This
is
an
enlarged
floor
plan
showing
the
new
elevator
lobby
and
the
pathway
to
the
elevator
lobby,
where
this
portion
is
the
north
wing
of
the
building,
and
this
portion
is
the
library
and
so,
by
lowering
this
portion
down,
we
were
able
to
create
a
path
which
is
a
very
gentle
slope
requiring
no
handrails.
So
there's
a
direct
path
into
a
lobby
which
will
access
this
elevator
and
we'll
go
a
half
a
floor
to
the
first
floor,
allowing.
E
E
We
just
wanted
to
look
like
it
was
originally
built
this
way.
So
the
materials
that
we're
using
is
is
wood
underneath
the
entry
covering
with
heavy
timber
that
matches
the
front
porches,
we
would
clad
it
with
tin
shingles
that
match
the
existing
shingles
on
the
walkway.
We
would
have
brick
pavers
on
the
walkway
course,
with
interspersed
with
concrete,
so
we'd
have
a
four
or
five
foot
length
of
concrete
and
then
brick
soldiers
and
to
give
it
some
rhythm.
E
This
is
the
front
elevation
obvious.
This
is
the
stairwell
that
is
already
under
construction,
and
this
is
the
88th
accessible
entry.
Few
other
items
of
note
that
we're
proposing
is
to
replace
these
entry
doors
on
both
sides
and
also
to
have
blanket
with
two
periods,
fixture
light,
sconces
and
then
we're
looking
for
some
period.
Fixtures
on
the
along
this
entry
point
to
help
define
the
entry,
so
it
doesn't
look
like
a
secondary
type
access,
but
it's
a
nice
Pleasant
access
to
the
building.
E
These
are
the
existing
library
doors.
They
will
be
replaced
with
glass
doors.
Those
are
the
glass
doors.
These
are
the
existing
north
wing
doors,
which
will
create
a
corridor
coming
out
these
doors.
Currently
there's.
If
you
were
to
go
through
those
doors
now
and
there's
a
drop-off,
so
we'll
put
new
doors
here.
E
E
E
You
have
a
planter
here
to
help
us
with
our
footing
our
foundation,
because
we're
gonna
have
to
drop
this
this
down,
and
then
we've
created
a
new
stoop
for
this
new
door,
which
is
the
access
to
the
stair
tower,
and
we
decided
to
add
a
glass
panel
in
here
just
to
make
this
more
inviting
at
night
having
some
light
coming
out
of
here
and
providing
a
glow.
We
don't
want
it
to
be
a
dark
inaccessible
corner.
Here's
another.
E
E
C
A
Yeah
and
it
does
meet
idat8
criteria
that
the
handicap
interim
speed
near
the
front
door
and
not
be
in
the
rare
and
so
congrats
lets
you
offer
taking
up
the
challenge
and
and
making
a
successful
design
solution
here.
It's
it
will
be
an
attractive
addition
here
in
the
front
people
may
just
want
to
go
through
the
elevator
experience.
The
new
walk
I
was
going
to
ask
if
it
is
the
little
raised
slab.
