A
The
house,
from
the
Attic
to
the
basement
previous
work
several
years
ago,
removed
several
layers
of
brick
on
one
side
of
the
chimney
and
the
upper
levels
of
the
house,
leaving
the
chimney,
unsupported
and
the
bricks
have
begun
begun
to
fall
through
the
ceiling
of
the
kitchen.
This
property
was
constructed
in
approximately
1920
to
1930
and
is
a
contributing
structure
in
the
historic
overlay
district.
A
B
C
It
was
I
tried,
drawing
it
through
Sketchup
and
it
just
got
too
difficult.
Imagine
this
is
a
the
original
brick
chimney
and
there's
no
more
number
of
chimneys
in
the
house.
This
one
is
not
in
use
anymore,
it
runs
through
the
middle
of
the
kitchen.
So
if
this
would
be
the
basement-
and
this
is
the
structure
all
the
way
up
through
the
roof-
you
know
you've
got
a
this
part
sticking
through
the
roof.
C
There's
two
flus,
so
it's
a
double
flue
chimney
and
at
one
point
somebody
came
in
I
think
in
the
80s
or
the
90s.
She
explained
to
me
that
she
had
some
renovations
done
and
what
they
did
essentially
is
this
they
cut
this
out
of
this
is
the
countertop
in
the
kitchen
right
here.
All
of
this
is
open
because
they
wanted
some
more
room
in
the
kitchen
and
she
has
this
structure
still
in
the
kitchen.
This
work
structure-
and
you
know
this
is
the
floor,
and
what
has
happened
is.
C
Fell
through
the
sheetrock
ceiling,
you
know
right
here
and
when
I
look
up,
I
can
see
the
top
the
cap
all
the
way
up
and
we've
gone
into
the
crawl
space
between
the
second
friend
first
floor.
It's
an
old
house
and
you
actually
have
a
crawlspace
and
you
can
see-
and
you
can
see
through
this
hole
this
brick
here
that
is
just
cut
and
unsupported
I
mean.
C
C
So
at
this
point
it's
I
think
it's
a
safety
issue
to
have
this
I
think
after
all
these
years-
and
this
is
structurally
unsupported-
it's
just
not
going
to
stand
up.
You
know
and
she's
very
concerned
about
it
as
she's
wondering
if
the
rest
of
its
gonna
come
down
through
the
through
the
ceiling
and
I
understand
the
importance
of
the
historic.
You
know.
You
can't
see
this
chimney
from
South
boundary.
If
you're
on
Newberry,
you
can
kinda
see
it
through
the
trees,
but
it's
a
non-functioning
chimney.
C
B
C
C
C
C
I
just
I,
thank
you,
yeah
I!
Don't
have
that
now,
some
of
it
well,
it's
only
on
the
interior.
Some
of
it
has
to
stay
on
the
interior,
but
I
know
that
doesn't
matter
in
this
context,
because
there
is
some
utilities
that
run
up
from
the
basement
to
the
second
floor
and
they
enclosed
the
chimney.
They
ran
it.
This
is
the
chimney.
They
ran
the
utilities
up
here
and
then
kind
of
boxed
it
in
so
there
will
be
a
part
of
it
that
stays
in
the
kitchen.
C
That's
on
the
interior,
but
the
biggest
thing
right
now
is
its
it's
a
major
safety
issue
and,
in
my
opinion,
as
a
builder
I,
got,
there's
major
stresses
on
the
interior
walls
and
ceiling
of
the
second
floor,
where
this
chimney
runs
through
and
I
can
see.
Cracks
like
this
in
the
plaster
and
the
walls.
I
believe
that
that
chimney
is
starting
to
to
lien
and
put
stresses
on
the
roof
structure
that
it's
touching
and
I'd
hate.
E
I'd
like
to
make
a
motion
that
we
approve
application,
h19
Oh,
1:8
I
feel
like
the
chimney
is
a
safety
issue
andrey
supporting
it
would
be
extremely
impractical
and
it
would
create
the
altar
of
the
use
of
the
space
below
and
due
to
its
very
limited
visibility
and
the
fact
that
it
doesn't
actually
contribute
to
any
kind
of
symmetric
feature
on
the
exterior
of
the
house.
I
think
it
would
not
be
you
have
that
much
of
an
impact.
It's
some
chimneys
might
own
a
contributing
property
right.
I.

A
G
This
application
is
for
the
addition
of
a
chimney
that
would
be
added
at
the
rear
portion
of
the
house.
I
guess
that
would
be
the
east
side
of
the
house
and
it
would
be
constructed
of
the
same
siding
material.
The
exterior
would
be
it's
going
into
what
would
probably
be
considered
a
third
bedroom
now,
which
I
would
be
using
as
a
den.
It
would
be
a
wood-burning
by
with
triple
wall
piping
on
the
inside,
they
would
sit
on
a
footing.
G
Bacteria
of
it
would
be
covered,
Lords
portion
of
it
would
be
concrete
block
and
it
would
be
covered
with
the
same
lattice
work
that
is
currently
covering
the
bottom
portion
of
the
porch.
The
cap
with
the
copper.
There
would
be
a
also
be
a
copper
cricket
for
proper
drainage.
They,
the
cat,
probably
in
two
feet,
two
and
a
half
feet.
Maximum
of
the
chimney
itself
would
be
seen
from
the
street
I
believe.
The
point
was
made
in
the
work
session
that
that,
if
you're
going
to
add
a
chimney,
it
shouldn't
chimney.
It
shouldn't
be
obvious.
G

Thank
you
very
much.

I'm
on
the
west
side,
the
joining
of
the
applicant
and
I
just
wanted
to
say,
I've
gone
over
the
proposed
changes
that
she
wants
to
make
I'm
fully
supportive
of
it
and
I
think
it
will
certainly
be
a
big
addition
that
she'll
be
a
good
addition
to
the
neighborhood.
So
we
just
asked
for
you
to
give
a
positive
response
to
this,
and
thank
you
very
much.
Thank.
