in
the

neighborhoods

to

project

street

subdivision

access

quality
of

the

homeowners

depending

against
progress

wants

away

Council

received
a
approval
on
a
comprehensive
signage
plan
for
the
village
at
Woodside.
It
supported
the
zoning
ordinance
for
signage
for
planned
residential,
which
was
predominantly
a
base
mounted
or
a
foundation
mounted
type
signage.
There's

these

I'll
be
brief
of
some
of
the
execution
that
we've
done
over
the
years
over
the
last
decade,
and
this
is
our
general
sign.

village

Woodside.

That's
a
long
silver
bluff
Road
that
flanks
both
sides
of
the
village
there's
another
example
of
a
typical
base
mounted
sign.
These
are
throughout
the
village
at
Woodside,
in
our
professional
offices
that
our
business
listings,
but
also
area
listing
signage
that
have
worked
very
effectively
and
by
the
sport
of
planning
and
city
council.
We've
been
very
pleased
with
this
signage.

example
of
the
larger
brick
monument
type
signs
again
that
were
part
of
our
overall
approval
in
2010
that
our
directional
signage
throughout
the
village.

an

we
worked

the
Planning
Director
at
Evans

years

on
signage,
that
the
your
typical
base
mounted
signage
was
not
effective.
We
ended
up

to
incorporate
signage
on

buildings

addressed

lot

the
sight
line,
issues
that
we
would
have
had
with
based
mounted
type
sign
again,
additional
examples
of
where
base
mounted

were
not

business
listings
and
again,

a
typical

sign

see
in
a

setting

highlights

the
amenities
in
the

is
really
a
landmark
part
of
the
village

Woodside.
We
did

to
go
back
to
Planning,

and
City
Council

this
approval
and
it's
worked

it's

key
architectural
element

the
businesses.

the
village
of
Woodside
comprises
of
a
wide
variety
of
medical
and
professional
and
retail
businesses
very
unique
to
the
city
of
Aitkin.
There
are
currently
over
35
businesses
that
operate
within
the
village
at
Woodside,
that
comprises
of
really
about
a
hundred
and
eighty
thousand
square
foot
of
office
space
and
employing
well
over
250
employees.
Here
in
Aitkin
of
those
35
businesses,
greater
than
30
percent
of
those
businesses
have
national
affiliations,
which
is
great
to
know
that
you
have
strength
in
your
tenants
and
your
businesses
in
your
community
also
of
those
35
businesses.

Greater
than
25
percent
of
those
businesses
are
locally
owned
and
operated,
and
although
this
is
a
planned
residential
development,
the
commercial
commercial
properties
do
pay
commercial
tax
rates.
You
know
opportunities
in
the
village
of
Asad.
It
also
offers
six
acres
of
well-maintained
parks.
We
have
greater
than
three
miles
of
walking
trails
and
outstanding
amenities,
making
an
ideal
setting
for
promoting
local
events
and
social
gatherings,
something
that
crop
their
and
here's.

the
village
I
would
like
to
highlight
that
you
know
these
amenities,
these
parks,
these
walking
trails,
are
open
to
the
public.
These
are
not
private
and
this
is
not
born.

cost

parks
and
amenities
are
not
borne
by
the
taxpayers
within

city.
These
are
all
managed
within
the
Association,
however,
open
to
the
public,
and
of
course
we
were
all
talking
about
traffic
and
traffic
lights.

long-awaited
much-needed
road
widening
and
traffic
lights
at
the
intersection
of
silver
blood
from
Village
Green
Boulevard,
which
really
kind
of
leads
us
to
why
we
here
our

Obviously
in
back

2010,
it

only

in
its
discussion
stages
that
were
certainly
enough.
You
know
not
pen
to
paper,
and
there
was
no
way
we
could
have
anticipated
our
needs
for
the
retail
side
of
our
business.
Hence
the
reason
why
we
had
a
landmark
Village
at
Woodside
sign
at
the
time.

the
village
of
Woodside
is
well-positioned.
We
feel
to
continue
to
provide
its
residents
in
our
vacant
community
with
first-class
professional
and
medical
retail
services.
Of
course,
all
of
that
is
contingent
on
us
really
being
prepared
in
marketing,
particularly
in
the
retail
market,
and
we
feel
this
is
essential
for
us
to
be
successful
to
have
proper
signage
that
really
identifies
the
businesses.

you
look
at
the
village
at
Woodside
sign,
it's
a
beautiful
sign,
architectural
e,
but
it
really
doesn't
tell
you
what's
in
the
village,
you
know,
prior
to
the
intersection
being
completed
with
lights,
we
wouldn't
have
considered
to
put
any
type
of
business
listing.
It
was
already
dangerous
enough,
even
white-knuckled
it
when
you
were
in
that
intersection,
but
now
that
there's
lights
in
place,
it's
it's
a
stopping
destination.
It's
an
ideal
opportunity
for
us
to
incorporate
signage
at
the
entrance
and
I
told
you
I'd.
