Join us for the final virtual program in this summer’s MUNI BAND AND MORE series. Enjoy "Mike Giles and Friends – An Evening of Jazz."
Iowa State saxophone and jazz ensemble instructor Mike Giles, playing keyboards, will lead this program of jazz favorites that “How High the Moon,” “It’s Only a Paper Moon,” and “Stretch Limo.” Giles will be joined by other jazz artists including local favorites Ed Kaizer (bass), Nick Kaizer (trumpet), Quinton Nespor (drums), and Mike Golemo (saxophone).
This hour-long event will include favorite past performances of the Ames Municipal Band. Simon Estes and John Burnett-Larkins are a part of each week’s program.

The first Muni Band and More concert will feature the Green Oaks Trio with Reggie Greenlaw, Curt Snook, and Steve Hurst. This local favorite will perform American folk and Irish-Celtic songs with guitar, fiddle and mandolin. The hour-long program will also include favorite past performances of the Ames Municipal Band including soloists such as Simon Estes and announcer John Burnett-Larkins.
