Young
engineers
series
that
we
have
that
is
written
by
Tommy
ends
right
here
in
the
white
letters,
and
then
it
has
a
table
of
contents,
which
is
a
familiar
thing
that
we
see
in
our
nonfiction
books
of
who,
what
is
a
bridge,
defining
what
it
is
and
and
having
different
types
of
vocabulary.
Words
in
there
as
well
and
different
types
of
bridges
that
we
have
in
our
country.
So
you
can
talk
about
traveling
as
well
again.
B
Again,
more
experiments
and
our
expansion
joints,
which
is
a
great
word
or
some
words
to
use
to
increase
the
vocabulary
and
at
the
end
of
our
book
we
again
have
the
glossary
and
find
out
more
this
time
we
have
books,
recommendations
and
website
recommendations
and
then
there's
the
index,
which
is
a
very
important
thing
to
have
in
any
nonfiction
book.
So
here
we
are
with
building
bridges
to
have
as
a
companion
book
to
getting
connecting
our
bridges
together
in
our
world.
So
with
that
Sarah
I
know
we
have
some
wonderful
activities
to
do.
A
For
this
Kitt's
activity,
you're
going
to
be
building
bridges,
building
bridges
is
a
really
fun
activity
that
you
and
your
child
can
do
together
to
kind
of
mimic
the
engineering
process.
We're
going
to
ask
that
you
first
maybe
design
a
bridge
with
your
child
on
paper,
make
a
two
dimensional
model
and
then,
after
that,
go
ahead
and
build
it
using
the
materials
provided
and,
of
course,
this
kit
contains
Thomas
the
Tank
always
a
hit
and
separate.
A
Percy,
so
we
don't
think
you'll
have
any
trouble
at
all.
Getting
your
child
engaged
so
go
ahead,
design
and
then
build
and
look
at
what
worked,
what
didn't,
work
and
kind
of
go
through
that
whole
process
and
maybe
do
a
redesign
again
and
start
again
building
your
bridge
now,
when
you're
all
done
take
a
chance
to
reflect
on
you
know,
of
course,
what
worked?
What
didn't
work
but
then
also
think
about
in
real
life.
Where
do
you
see
bridges?
What
do
bridges
need?
A
B
B
Also
can
check
this
out
with
your
Ames
Public
Library
card
by
going
to
the
account
services
desk
or
our
welcome
desk,
and
ask
for
the
kit
that
you're
looking
for
that
will
be
in
our
computer,
catalog
and
search
for
that
put
a
hold
on
it
and
then
go
to
the
customer.
Account
services
desk
and
check
it
out.
It'll
be
checked
out
for
a
full
three
weeks.
Just
like
our
books
are
and
then
you
can
return
it,
but
again,
you'll
want
to
return
it
to
the
Welcome
Desk.
