A
Hi,
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
aims.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Today
with
us
you're
going
to
see
three
dogs
that
we
have
here
at
the
shelter
we
had
the
first
one
we
have
here
is
sterling
sterling
we're
estimating
is
probably
about
12
to
14
years
old.
He
came
in
as
a
stray.
We
actually
got
quite
a
few
calls.
Some
of
our
viewers
may
have
been
some
of
the
caller's.
A
He
was
actually
up
on
highway
30
in
the
middle
of
the
lanes
running
from
the
cars
and
luckily
he's
safe,
now
he's
here
at
the
shelter,
but
we
did
find
out
that
sterling
does
have
quite
a
few
medical
problems,
he's
advanced
in
his
age
and
he's
just
going
to
need
a
home
where
he
can
live
out
the
rest
of
his
life.
It
may
not
be
that
long,
but
he's
definitely
a
sweet
dog
right
now
he's
in
the
foster
care
home
with
one
of
our
animal
control.
Officers
and
Cathy
says
that
he's
just
a
great
dog.
A
She
actually
sent
me
some
pictures
of
him
laying
on
the
couch
and
just
enjoying
life
enjoying
being
warm
inside.
We
don't
know
how
long
sterling
was
out
there
running
on
the
highway
or
how
long
he's
been
away
from
his
people,
but
sterling
definitely
needs
a
quiet
environment.
We're
looking
for
a
very
special
home
for
Sterling
Cathy's
willing
to
keep
him
in
foster
care,
but
if
you're
interested
in
Sterling
call
the
animal
shelter
and
possibly
set
up
an
appointment
to
come
meet
sterling
with
Cathy,
so
you
can
get
the
information
about
him
again.
A
A
very
nice
dog
he's
advanced
age.
We
do
have
a
little
bit
of
medical
history.
We
did
send
him
into
one
of
the
community
vets
that
we
partner
with,
and
so
we
have
a
lot
of
information
about
his
current
medical
situation.
So,
if
you're
interested
in
helping
this
guy,
this
beautiful
dog
here
call
us
at
the
Ames
animal
shelter
and
set
up
an
appointment
to
meet
sterling.
A
Here
I
have
with
me
baby
baby
is
one
of
our
recent
success
stories,
she's
just
waiting
for
her
spay
appointment,
but
baby
has
been
adopted.
She
was
surrendered
to
us
by
her
owner.
She
had
some
health
conditions
of
her
home
that
she
had
to
focus
on
and
take
care
of.
Baby
needs
a
lot
of
grooming
and
some
brushing,
but
just
a
sweet
dog
and
someone
absolutely
fell
in
love
with
her.
A
We
think
it's
going
to
be
a
great
home
and
we're
just
hoping
the
best
here
for
baby,
but
I
just
wanted
to
bring
her
out
and
show
her
show
our
viewers,
the
amazing
animals
that
we
get
here
at
the
Ames
animal
shelter.
Again.
She
just
needs
some
cleaning
up,
but
she
is
going
to
be
a
beautiful
dog
once
she
gets
cleaned
up
and
it
gets
these
mats
brushed
out
of
her
I'm
she's.
A
maltese
poodle
mix
only
eat
nine
months
old,
so
she's
a
very
young
dog
in
a
very
unfortunate
situation
with
the
previous
owner.
A
But
we're
happy
that
we're
here
to
help
our
aims
residents
and
provide
a
situation
for
baby
and
to
find
a
new
home.
Also
for
another
Ames
resident,
so
we're
very
happy
to
show
baby
here
today
that
she's
going
to
be
a
success
story
and
baby
did
get
adopted
here
at
the
shelter
we
just
have.
A
few
animals
were
showing
today
and
I.
Really,
you
know
have
that
success
to
share
with
everybody.
A
We've
had
incredible
adoptions,
the
last
two
months
we
have
very
few
cats
available
for
adoption
right
now
and
actually
at
this
point,
you
just
met
sterling
he's
one
that's
available
for
a
special
home
that
we're
looking
for
and
you'll
meet
another
one,
that's
becoming
available
in
the
next
few
days.
So
thank
you
to
all
of
our
viewers
and
to
the
adopters
that
come
into
the
shelter
look
for
these
special
animals,
so
just
wanted
to
show
you
baby.
A
And
our
next
guest
is
Madison.
Madison
came
in
to
us
as
a
stray
just
recently,
so
she
is
available
for
adoption.
This
coming
Saturday
we're
still
waiting
for
the
owners
to
see
if
they
come
down
and
claim
her.
She
did
have
this
collar
on.
Unfortunately,
no
identification
was
attached
to
it,
so
no,
no
microchip,
no
rabies
tag,
no
personal
identification,
no
information
for
us
to
help
get
Madison
back
to
her
people
seems
like
a
very
nice
dog
she's
about
a
year
and
a
half,
so
she
is
full-grown.
A
You
know
we're
not
really
entirely
sure
what
breed
were
going
to
call
her.
She
is
kind
of
stocky
a
little
bit
but
she's,
not
a
big
dog
at
all,
but
just
a
sweet
dog
sweet-natured
she's
all
shy
here
with
the
cameras,
but
we've
already
had
a
lot
of
the
visitors
to
the
shelter
that
have
commented
on
how
sweet
she
is
and
I
think
we're
probably
going
to
have
a
big
interest
in
her
when
she's
available
for
adoption.
But
this
is
Madison
abreast
who
made
about
a
year
and
a
half
old.
A
She
will
be
spayed
before
she
gets
adopted.
She's
not
currently
Spade
she's
been
at
least
given
some
initial
vaccinations
here
at
the
shelter,
and
we
are
waiting
for
owners
to
claim
her,
but
she
will
be
available
for
adoption
if
no
one
comes
forward.
So
if
you
think
you
might
have
an
interest
in
medicine,
come
on
down
to
the
shelter
and
meet
her
she's,
a
sweet
dog
and
I
think
would
do
great
in
a
family.
Just
a
gentle
nature
dog.
A
Thank
you
for
watching
this
episode
of
animals
and
names,
as
I
mentioned
earlier,
we've
had
a
tremendous,
great
adoptions
and
so
pleased
with
that
here
at
the
shelter
the
staff,
the
volunteers
are
so
thankful
for
the
people
that
support
the
shelter
and
come
in
and
visit
the
animals
and
our
adopters,
our
donors.
We
couldn't
do
all
the
work
we
do
here
without
you,
so
we
really
appreciate
your
time,
your
energy,
your
efforts,
keep
coming
to
the
shelter.
If
you
haven't
found
the
right
pet,
we
will
get
them
in
eventually
to
stay
in
touch
with
us.
A
The
best
ways
on
the
website.
We
always
update
that
it's
updated
every
hour
now
with
our
new
system,
our
new
database,
so
every
hour
within
the
hour
when
an
animal
comes
in,
it's
going
to
be
posted
on
our
website.
So
if
you're
looking
for
a
particular
animal,
you
definitely
want
to
keep
an
eye
on
that.
So
again,
thank
you
for
watching.
