A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
into
this
episode
of
animals
and
ames.
My
name
is
ron
edwards,
I'm
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program
very
happy
today
to
introduce
our
guest
ho
sheila,
who
is
the
director
of
the
ames
public
library
she's,
going
to
talk
about
the
importance
of
reading
and
how
it's
so
important
to
kids
and
also
including
pets
with
that?
A
So
there's
lots
of
books
at
the
library
that
have
information
about
how
to
care
for
pets
properly
a
lot
of
really
fun
books
so
make
sure
you
check
out
the
ames
public
library
and
see
what
they
have
about
pets.
And,
let's
see
what
sheila
has
to
tell
us
about
giorgio
the
cat
that
she's
going
to
focus
on
today.
B
Hello,
I'm
sheila
chauffeur
director
of
the
ames
public
library
and
I'm
here
with
giorgio
today,
he's
one
of
the
kitties
at
the
animal
shelter
who's
available
for
adoption,
but
we're
going
to
hang
out
and
read
some
stories
because
we
have
all
kinds
of
books
at
the
library
to
help
you
with
your
new
pets
and
all
kinds
of
cat
stories
about
cats
and
kitties
all
right.
So
today
we're
gonna
read
a
book
with
giorgio.
It's
called
up
on
bob.
B
B
B
Now
bob
can
sleep
all
day,
but
wait.
What
do
we
see
up?
There
looks
like
kitty
ears,
I
don't
know.
Is
he
gonna
be
able
to
sleep?
Oh
suddenly,
everything
is
not
so
perfect.
B
B
B
B
Now
bob
can
sleep
all
day
yay.
Is
that
a
good
story,
giorgio?
Yes,
it
was.
We
have
all
kinds
of
great
books
to
help
you
with
your
adoption
or
your
new
pretty.
This
is
one
that
I
love.
It's
called
how
to
talk
to
your
cat
and
it's
got
things
like
if
their
whiskers
are
forward.
That
means
they're
in
a
friendly,
pose
and
they're
ready
for
some
loving
yeah
see
his
whiskers
are
forward.
B
So
I
know
it's
okay
or
sometimes
they're
their
tails,
up
with
a
little
question
mark
hook
on
the
end,
and
then
we
know
it's
okay
to
say:
hey,
yeah
and
he's
purring.
That's
a
sign
that
the
kitties
are
happy
yeah
the
thing
with
kitties.
Is
they
kind
of
do
what
they
want
to
do
so
sometimes
they
sit
on
your
lap
and
snuggle
like
this
one?
B
A
A
So
thanks
for
bringing
those
over
and
for
being
the
co-host
of
today's
show,
I
remember
giorgio,
is
just
one
of
many
many
many
cats
that
are
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
If
you
want
to
see
those
that
are
available
to
adopt
right
now
go
to
amesaanimalshelter.org,
and
you
can
see
a
picture
of
all
the
animals
that
we
have
here
for
adoption,
we
have
a
hamster.
A
We
have
three
rabbits
and
lots
of
kitties
from
kittens
to
adult
cats
and
don't
forget
the
adult
cats
as
it's
time
to
with
kitten
season.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
the
adult
cats
also
find
their
forever
home,
like
giorgio
giorgio,
is
an
adult
cat
and
want
to
make
sure
that
he
finds
a
home
forever
and
hopefully
soon,
thanks
for
watching
the
show
today
and
make
sure
you
check
out
our.
