A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
Ames,
it's
the
first
of
the
new
year,
so
happy
New
Year
to
all
the
viewers
out
there.
I
want
to
thank
everybody
for
your
support
and
all
the
adoptions
and
everything's
that
we
everything
that
we
had
in
2018.
Our
next
episode
will
give
you
some
statistics
and
some
things
certain
some
thank-yous
of
people
have
donated
to
us
throughout
the
year.
So
when
I
introduce
our
first
guest
today,
so
this
here
is
Tim
and
Jake.
A
Tim
here
is
the
all
white
one
and
Jake
is
the
kind
of
like
a
dilute
type
calico.
So
the
white-
and
this
light
tan
and
there's
a
darker
color
here
in
the
back.
These
are
two
guinea
pigs
available
for
adoption
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
and
they
were
just
surrendered
to
us
the
other
day.
They
got
them
from
an
online
source
and
decided
that
the
guinea
pigs
were
not
necessarily
for
them.
They
were
also
in
a
very
small
cage.
A
So
something
that's
very
important
with
these
guys-
and
these
are
good
size,
guinea
pigs,
that
they
are
in
appropriate
housing.
The
guinea
pig
Manuel
dot-com
is
a
great
website
that
provides
a
lot
of
resources,
information
about
how
to
properly
care.
For
these
guys
they
are
very
unique
little
pets.
They
do
require
a
lot
of
cleanings,
so
there's
a
lot
of
cleaning
up
at
their
cage
and
their
their
home
environment,
and
they
also
have
a
lot
of
special
dietary
requirements
as
well.
A
So
one
of
the
things
you
see
here
is
some
cilantro
and
they
were
just
chatting
down
on
the
cilantro
before
we
went
on
this.
The
T
the
set
here
here
we
go.
Jake
is
enjoying
some
cilantro,
but
these
greens
are
very
important
to
their
health
and
well-being
as
well
as
Timothy
hey.
They
have
some
pellets
and,
of
course,
always
making
sure
that
they
have
fresh
water
at
all
times.
So
guinea
pigs
can
be
great
pets.
A
They
may
be
they're
good
pets
for
starters,
with
children,
if
you're
trying
to
teach
them
some
responsibilities,
but
you
always
want
to
remember
the
adult:
is
the
one
that's
responsible
for
caring
for
these
guys?
So
if
the
kids
are
not
doing
their
job,
then
it's
the
adult
adults
responsibility
to
make
sure
that
they're
being
taken
care
of
the
nice
thing
about
guinea
pigs
is
that
they
very
rarely
bite
they
can
bite.
Of
course,
in
the
animal
they
have
teeth,
cannon
will,
but
these
guys
do
have
great
personalities.
A
They
have
been
handled
so
who
ever
had
them
in
the
past
has
definitely
handled
them,
and
that's
always
a
good
thing
with
these
guys,
but
definitely
gentle
creatures
here
the
agile
enjoy
companionship
and
being
with
each
other.
There
are
bonded
pair,
so
they
do
have
to
be
adopted
together
so
check
out
again
guinea
pig
manual
calm.
It
is
a
great
resource
and
information
for
these
little
guys
do
some
research
before
you
consider
adopting
one
of
them
and
come
on
down
to
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
A
A
These
guys
are
just
about
four
months
old
and
just
a
bundle
of
joy,
we're
hearing
good
reports
from
all
the
the
adopters
who
adopted
the
other,
siblings
and
they're
just
a
lot
of
fun
and
energy
in
the
house,
so
maybe
for
2019.
Maybe
we
can
show
them
your
face
for
2019.
Maybe
you
want
to
invite
a
little
kitten
into
your
home
and
have
it
be
part
of
your
your
home
and
find
that
forever
place
for
this
beautiful
kitten
here?
