A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
ames.
My
name
is
ron
edwards,
I'm
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
guest
host
today
is
mike
brown.
He's
a
manager
in
the
electric
services
department
here
at
the
city
of
ames,
so
really
happy
to
continue
our
series
of
city
employees
that
are
demonstrating
and
showing
all
the
amazing,
wonderful
animals
we
have
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
A
B
B
She
will
be
spayed,
she's,
not
spayed
yet,
but
she
will
be
before
she
leaves
the
shelter
beautiful
black
domestic
with
brown
eyes.
She's,
a
cutie
she's,
really
super
friendly
she's,
just
purring
her
heart
out.
Here,
black
cats
tend
to
get
overlooked
by
the
public,
for
whatever
reason,
I
don't
think
that
I
don't
think
anybody
should
overlook
this
one
though,
because
she
is
a
sweetheart,
her
adoption
fee
will
be
80,
and
this
will
include
when
she's
adopted
all
of
her
vaccinations.
B
Her
heartworm
medication,
like
I
mentioned,
she'll,
be
spayed
and
she
will
be
microchipped
so
that
will
help
her,
so
she
doesn't
get
lost
in
the
future.
B
This
time
we
have
puri
purdy
is
a
five-month-old
male.
He
will
be
neutered
he's
not
yet
he
will
be
neutered
before
he
leaves
the
shelter
super
friendly
tiger.
Striped
tabby.
B
You
can
hear
him
purring
he's
a
high
energy
cat,
again
super
friendly.
So
when
he
is
adopted
he
will
be
fully
vaccinated
again
he
will
be
neutered
and
he
will
be
microchipped,
so
he
will
not
get
lost
and
he's
just
a
friendly
guy.
Purdy
would
actually
probably
do
well
he's
friendly
with
the
other
animals
here
in
the
shelter
he
would
probably
do.
Well,
if
you
had
a
another
cat,
friendly
cat
or
a
cat
friendly
dog,
he
does
like
to
socialize
with
other
animals
and
apply
to
adopt
purdy.
B
So
here
we
have
brian
he's
a
four-month-old
neutered,
male
and
brian
is
my
favorite
cat
today,
because
he's
he's
a
special
cat
he's
a
three-legged
cat.
Okay,
now
he
lost
his
leg.
He
came
to
the
shelter
he
was
severely
injured
and
the
best
the
best
treatment
plan
for
him
was
just
to
go
ahead
and
amputate
his
injured
leg.
So
they
did
that
and
he
does
not
know
that
he's
a
three-legged
cat.
He
runs
around
perfectly
normal
he's
healing
up
very
well
he's
super
high
energy
again
super
friendly
likes
to
play.
B
B
So
he
also
has
all
of
his
claws,
which
I
wanted
to
mention
that
the
the
shelter
prefers
that
the
cats
keep
their
claws
and
they
have
a
program
here
that
if
you
adopt
a
cat
from
the
ames
animal
shelter,
you
can
bring
your
cats
in
and
they
will
trim
their
their
claws
for
them
so
for
the
rest
of
their
life.
So
that's
part
of
the
adoption
process.
B
If
you
get
a
cat
from
out
here,
is
that
they
will.
All
you
have
to
do
is
make
an
appointment
and
bring
them
out
and
they
will
trim
their
nails
for
them
again.
He
will
have
all
of
his
shots
and
he
will
be
ready
to
go
before
adoption
and
and
he
will
also
be
microchipped
if,
if
brian
is
of
interest
to
you-
which
I
think
he
should
be
because
he's
a
friendly
guy,
you
can
contact
the
animal
shelter
here
at
www.aimesanimalshelter.org.
A
That's
our
show
for
today
want
to
thank
mike
for
coming
down
and
showing
three
amazing
kittens
that
we
have
available
for
adoption.
Keep
in
mind.
We
have
a
lot
of
adult
cats
that
are
also
looking
for
their
forever
home,
so
to
apply
for
those
kittens
that
you
saw
today
or
see
all
the
other
animals
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
go
to
ames
animal
shelter.org.
A
You
can
click
on
the
cats
available
for
adoption.
The
dog
is
available
for
adoption
and
actually
they've
all
been
adopted.
So
we
don't
have
any
dogs
right
now,
but
we
probably
will
soon
and
small
pets
available
for
adoptions.
You'll
see
the
many
many
many
guinea
pigs,
the
rabbits,
the
mice,
all
of
those
furry
critters
that
we
have
available
for
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
Thanks
for
watching.
