A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
names.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames,
Animal,
Shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
first
guest
today
with
us
is
Teddy
who's
really
nervous.
He's
got
cameras
here
and
lights
and
he's
just
not
sure
what's
happening
here.
So
Teddy
came
into
us
as
a
owner
surrender.
He
is
eight
years
old
and
he
was
actually
born
in
the
home
of
the
person
who
surrendered
him
to
us,
so
they
had
in
his
entire
life.
A
He
is
a
Jack
Russell,
terrier,
beagle
mix.
What
we've
been
told,
and
so
just
eight
years
old,
he'll
be
nine
in
October
I
believe,
but
he
was
surrendered
to
us
because
he
started
having
some
poor
behavior
with
other
dogs.
A
new
dog
was
brought
into
the
home
and
unfortunately
they
decided
that
they
were
going
to
surrender
teddy.
So
he
is
here
for
adoption.
A
He,
although
he's
almost
nine
years
old,
he
has
a
lot
of
spunk
left
in
him.
Just
before
the
taping.
We
were
out
there
playing
in
the
play
yard
and
he
was
playing
fetch
and
he's
a
really
good.
Fetcher
I
had
to
fetch
them
all
sometime,
but
he
was
pretty
good
about
bringing
it
back
to
me.
So
teddy
is
an
eight
year
old
dog.
He
is,
you
know,
on
the
smaller
side.
A
Again,
he's
he's
very
nervous
about
being
in
here
with
the
camera
and
everything
oh
you're,
okay,
you're,
okay
yeah,
so
he
is
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
If
you're
interested
in
a
dog
like
Teddy
come
on
down
and
we'd
love
to
introduce
you
to
him
and
see,
if
maybe
he
might
fit
into
your
home
based
on
his
behaviors,
we
do
think
that
he'd
probably
be
best
and
thrived
the
best
in
a
home.
That
is
where
he's
the
only
dog.
A
So
he
needs
to
be
the
king
of
the
house
and
again
he's
a
Jack
Russell
terrier.
Beagle
mix
is
what
we've
been
told
about
him,
but
available
for
adoption
immediately
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
So
come
on
down
and
meet
the
sweet
guy.
Here,
that's
a
good
boy,
good
kiss!
That's
a
good
kiss
he's
a
great
dog
so
come
on
down
to
Museum.
A
And
our
next
guest
today
is
Starla.
Starla
is
not
available
for
adoption,
yet
we're
looking
for
the
community's
help
to
try
to
find
Starla's
people.
She
came
into
us
as
a
stray
last
night
and
she
is
just
a
few
months
old,
so
she's
a
little
border,
collie
puppy
and
we
have
not
received
any
calls.
Unfortunately,
she
didn't
have
any
identification
on.
She
doesn't
have
a
microchip,
so
we're
really
trying
to
find
her
people
and
get
her
back
because
I'm
sure
they're
missing
you,
because
you
were
such
a
sweet
puppy
miss
you
are
very
sweet.
A
Little
puppy.
We
do
give
the
owner
seven
days
to
come
and
claim
their
pets
after
the
seven
days.
If
they
don't
claim
them,
we
will
put
a
little
Starla
up
here
for
adoption,
but
I'm
sure
someone's
going
to
come
in
looking
for
her.
So
we
just
wanted
to
show
her
on
the
show
today
to
show
the
importance
of
having
identification
on
your
animals
as
microchips
identification
tags.
A
So
that
way
we
can
make
sure
they
get
back
to
you
and,
of
course,
expressing
the
dangers
that
are
out
there
for
a
little
puppy
like
this
to
be
running
around.
She
could
easily
be
hit
by
a
car
attacked
by
another
animal.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
Starla
and
that's
the
name
that
we
gave
her
is
you
know
safe
at
home
and
she
has
identification.
So
if
she
goes
out
running
again
as
lots
of
puppies
like
to
do
that,
she's
going
to
be
safe,
yeah
aren't
you.
A
And
our
next
guest
today
is
Myrtle.
Myrtle
is
also
just
going
to
tell
his
own
story.
Merle
also
came
to
us
as
a
stray
yesterday
really
what's
going
on,
he
came
in
to
us
yesterday
as
a
stray,
so
we're
also
looking
for
his
owners.
Merle
has
been
with
us
before,
so,
fortunately,
we
have
a
database
where
we
can
look
up
and
see
who
Murrells
people
are
and
get
them
in
down
here.
To
have
him
back
at
home,
where
he's
going
to
be
safe,
but
I
did
win
it.
I
can.
A
Oh
I
did
want
to
talk
about
an
example
here
where
Merle,
so
moon
is
on
this
caller,
but
unfortunately
he
doesn't
have
any
identification.
Fortunately,
we
know
who
he
belongs
to
so,
hopefully
we'll
get
them
back
home
today.
I
just
want
to
talk
about
how
simple
it
is
to
put
an
identification
tag
here.
You
can
get
them
online
through
many
different
venues.
A
You
can
get
them
at
Walmart
at
Petco,
Pet
Smart.
All
of
them
have
places
where
you
can
get
these
tags
or
you
get
them
instantly
they're
very
inexpensive,
but
it
provides
permanent
identification
that
you
know
as
long
as
it's
attached
to
the
collar
and
the
collars
on
the
dog,
then
we
can
get
home
to
you
right
away.
A
So
again,
and
you
know-
maybe
even
if
the
member
of
the
public
found
him
if
they
had
the
phone
number
on
there,
then
they
can
call
you
right
away
rather
than
taking
him
to
the
animal
shelter,
and
you
know
we're
happy
to
take
care
of
and
give
him
a
safe
place
to
stay.
But
you
know,
of
course
we
would
like
them
to
be
at
home
with
you
where
they're
safe,
so
hopefully
his
owners
will
be
coming
in
to
get
him
shortly,
but
just
another
one
that
came
in
stray
last
night.
A
So
last
night
was
a
pretty
busy
night
for
the
police
department,
dogs
that
came
in
as
strays
and
unfortunately
none
of
them
had
identification.
So
Merle
is
just
one
of
them,
but
we're
going
to
get
Merle
back
to
get
itch
we're
going
to
get
Merle
back
to
his
people.
Hopefully,
today,
as
soon
as
we
finish,
the
show.
A
And
our
last
dogs,
guy
that
we
have
here
today
again
also
was
astray
and
fortunately
we
just
got
a
call
from
Neptune's
owner
and
they're
going
to
be
picking
him
up
today
when
we
open
up
at
12
noon.
So
unfortunately
he
had
gotten
mixed
up
in
some
bushes.
It
sounds
like
and
his
collar
came
off,
so
they
didn't
have
Neptune's
collar
on
him
or
identification,
but
they
did
see
him
on
our
web
site.
A
So
if
you're
looking
for
a
lost
pet
within
15
minutes
of
every
single
animal
that
comes
to
the
aimed
animal
shelter,
we
have
their
picture
on
the
website.
So
they
did
find
Neptune
on
the
website
and
said
they
are
pretty
sure
that
this
was
their
dog.
He
got
out
running
around
and
didn't
come
home,
so
they
were
able
to
identify
him
on
the
website
and
we
gave
him
information
where
he
came
from.
So
we
were
able
to
make
a
match
and
we
know
that
Neptune
will
soon
be
going
home,
so
again,
no
identification
on
him.
A
A
A
So
even
if
the
caller
comes
off-
or
we
forgot
to
put
it
on-
or
the
dog
just
recently
had
a
bath,
we're
going
to
be
able
to
contact
them
based
on
the
information
that
is
entered
in
the
microchip
database
system,
so
definitely
a
recommendation
to
talk
to
your
vet
about
microchipping
your
pets.
You
never
know
when
an
accident
is
going
to
happen
and
your
pets
going
to
be
loose
so
consider
getting
a
microchip
for
your
pets.
A
And
our
final
furry
friend
for
the
day
today
is
going
to
be
this
cute
little
kitten
here.
I
want
to
send
out
a
very
special
thanks
to
the
boo
NER,
a
humane
society
and
Kim
Adams,
who
is
on
the
board
of
directors
and
also
a
volunteer
at
the
Boone
Area
Humane
Society
they're,
a
great
partner,
shelter
with
us,
and
they
hosted
a
special
event
with
a
kitten
lady,
the
kitten
lady.
Her
name
is
Hannah,
but
she
probably
goes
by
kitten
lady,
more
than
Hannah.
A
She
is
just
an
incredible
resource,
all
across
the
United
States
and
beyond
of
resources
and
information
on
how
to
save
these
little
orphan
kittens
that
don't
have
their
mother
Hannah
with
her
big
yawn
there.
She
is
just
about
four,
maybe
five
weeks
old,
she
was
brought
into
the
Boone
area,
Humane
Society,
in
pretty
bad
shape.
A
She
does
have
some
conditions
in
her
one
of
her
eyes
that
she
needs
medication
every
day
and
we're
really
hoping
that
the
medication
is
going
to
solve
the
problem.
There's
an
ulcer
on
her
eye
and
it'll
kitten.
Bitin.
On
my
thumb.
There
we're
hoping
that
that's
going
to
solve
the
problem
that
she
has
and
not
have
to
have
the
eye
removed,
but
you
know
she
can
thrive
very
well
if
we
do
have
to
ultimately
take
out
the
eye,
so
it
doesn't
cause
any
pain
for
her.
A
Of
course,
we
will
have
our
partner
vet
summer
said
that
take
care
of
that
for
us,
but
you
know
she
will
thrive
even
if
she
just
has
one
eye,
but
we're
hoping
that
we're
going
to
be
able
to
save
that
eye
and
we're
going
to
find
a
very
special
home
here
for
Hannah
who
is
of
course
named
after
the
kitten
lady.
So
again,
a
very
special
thank
you
to
the
kitten
lady.
A
If
you'd
like
to
learn
more
about
the
kitten
lady
and
everything
that
she
does,
she
has
amazing
YouTube
videos
on
how
to
care
for
orphaned
kittens
and
just
a
great
person
in
general.
We
enjoyed
meeting
her
and
talking
to
her
and
have
her
come
here
to
our
shelter
and
look
at
our
operations.
So
her
website
is
the
kitten
lady
org.
So
it's
pretty
easy
to
find
I
believe
it's
kitten,
lady
org,
so
go.
A
Take
a
look
at
that
all
the
wonderful
work
that
she
does
to
help
these
little
cute
furry
guys
and
a
special
thank
you
to
Abby
our
staff
member
here
who
is
fostering
this
little
girl
and
going
to
make
sure
that
she
is
very
well
taken
care
of
and
provided
with
many
fingers,
so
she
can
chew
on
them
at
home.
So
if
you're
interested,
you
might
want
to
keep
an
eye
on
our
Facebook
about
Hannah
she'll
be
available
for
adoption.
But
it's
going
to
be
a
while
again.
A
A
That's
why
the
show
for
today
thank
you
for
tuning
in
and
watching
this
episode
of
animals
names
I.
Remember
that
we
have
Teddy
that's
available
for
adoption.
Now
all
the
other
dogs
that
we
had
on
the
show
we're
looking
for
the
owners
are
waiting
for
the
owners
to
come
here
and
claim
them
and
then
eventually
Hannah
will
be
available
for
adoption.
