Meet Westen the puppy, Stormlight the kitten, and Christina the cat. See all of the animals available for adoption at www.amesanimalshelter.org
A
And
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals.
The
names
my
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter
animal
control
program.
This
very,
very
energetic
puppy
here
is
Weston.
Weston
is
available
for
adoption.
We
are
accepting
applications
for
him.
He
is
just
a
puppy.
I
think
we
think
he's
about
three
months
old.
He
we're
thinking
he's
maybe
like
some
kind
of
a
chocolate
lab
lab
mix,
it's
kind
of
hard
to
say
other
than
just
a
whole
lot
of
energy.
He
is
just
really
excited.
A
He
sees
some
cat
toys
here
in
our
cat
room,
so
he's
just
really
excited
to
go
over
there
and
play
with
those,
but
he
is
just
a
typical
puppy
that
needs
lots
of
training
needs
to
know
what
he
couldn't
he
can
do
and
what
he
can't
do,
teach
him.
You
know
basic
manners.
A
really
good
puppy
class
would
be
really
important
for
Weston
here.
So
he
is
a
male.
He
has
not
been
neutered
yet,
but
he
will
be
neutered
before
he
goes
home
he'll
be
given
all
of
his
age-appropriate
vaccinations.
A
A
And
our
next
guest
today
is
storm
light
storm
light.
Is
this
beautiful
tortoise
shell
kitty
about
two
and
a
half
almost
three
months
old?
They
came
into
us
as
a
litter.
There
was
four
of
them
in
the
litter
and
it's
just
her
and
one
of
the
orange
tabbies
that
are
available.
You
can
see
their
pictures
on
our
web
site
at
Ames,
Animal
Shelter
org,
when
that
picture
disappears
off
the
cats
available
for
adoption.
That
means
that
they
have
been
adopted.
So
you
can
take
a
look,
but
this
is
storm
light
again.
A
She's
got
this
beautiful,
tortoiseshell
coloring,
so
there's
orange
and
brown
and
black,
and
all
that
mixed
in
there
and
then
she
has
more
distinctive
coloring
on
her
paws
that
you
can
kind
of
see,
but
all
the
rest
are
kind
of
and
there's
a
you
can
see
here
on
top
of
her
head,
she's
got
some
orange
stripes
on
there,
so
but
a
beautiful
kitten,
of
course,
all
the
cats
that
are
here
at
the
shelter
if
they
come
in
with
their
claws.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
they
keep
those
claws
for
life.
A
You
can
get
more
information,
just
gonna
purr
and
tell
us
their
story.
You
can
get
more
information
about
declawing
cats
and
the
dangers
associated
with
that
at
declawing,
dot-com
or
the
paw
project.
It's
two
great
organizations
that
do
wonderful
work
to
help
save
kitties
from
having
that
procedure
done
so
again.
This
is
storm
light
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
We
are
accepting
applications
on
them.
A
And
our
final
guest
for
today's
show
is
Kristina
Kristina's
about
7
years
old,
between
7
&
8.
She
is
an
owner
surrendered
kitties,
so
the
owners
could
no
longer
care
for
her.
While
she
was
here.
We
determined
that
her
that,
with
the
assistance
of
our
friends
at
Somerset
vet
hospital
that
she
has
asthma,
so
she
needs
to
be
on
prednisone,
probably
for
the
rest
of
her
life.
A
It's
a
fairly
inexpensive
drug
for
her
to
be
on,
but
it
will
help
her
breathe,
easier
and
live
a
very
happy
healthy,
normal
life,
so
she's,
just
a
beautiful
kitty,
she's
very
similar
coloring
as
the
kitten
Udhas.
Although
she'd
be
considered
more
of
a
tour
B,
you
see
the
actual.
The
tabby
stripes
in
here
are
much
stronger
with
her
but
she's
an
adult
cat.
A
She
does
have
all
of
her
claws
and,
of
course
we
want
to
keep
it
that
way,
but
Kristina
has
just
beautiful
green
eyes
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
Kristina
finds
a
home.
That's
gonna
commit
to
her
for
life
and
not
surrender
here
at
the
shelter
we
want.
Somebody
that's
gonna,
give
her
all
the
love
and
attention
and
medical
care
that
she
deserves
for
the
rest
of
her
life.
A
Thank
you
for
tuning
in
and
watching
this
episode
of
animals
and
Ames.
Remember:
that's
just
a
sampling
of
the
animals
that
you
can
see
here
available
for
adoption
at
Ames,
Animal
Shelter.
You
can
always
keep
an
eye
on
our
website,
which
is
updated,
every
5
minutes
at
Ames
animal
shelter
org.
So
when
you
click
on
the
cats
available
for
adoption
at
the
shelter,
you
can
see
a
picture
of
each
cat,
that's
available
for
adoption.
If
their
picture
has
disappeared,
that
means
they've
been
adopted.
A
So
if
you're
looking
for
a
lost
pet,
then
you
would
click
on
the
lost
cats
or
lost
dogs
or
lost
others
at
the
shelter
and
see
a
picture
of
all
the
animals
that
are
here
at
the
shelter.
Again,
that's
updated
every
5
minutes.
So
it's
really
important
for
us
for
people
to
know
what
we
have
here
available
for
adoption
and,
most
importantly,
if
you're
looking
for
your
lost
pet
to
see
a
picture
of
your
pet
there
to
reassure
people
that
their
pet
is
safe
and
sound
here
with
us
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
