A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
ames.
My
name
is
ron
edwards,
I'm
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
guest
host
today
is
rob
kirkpatrick.
He
is
in
our
fleet
services
department
here
at
the
city
of
ames
and
we're
really
happy
to
have
him
here.
He
frequently
comes
to
visit
the
shelter
and
checks
out
the
felines
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
and
recently
just
adopted
a
cat
from
us.
B
Hi
my
name's
rob
kirkpatrick.
I
work
with
fleet
services,
where
we
have
five
of
us
take
care
of
the
city's
diverse
fleet,
and
I'm
here
today
to
introduce
you
to
some
gorgeous
little
kittens
this
one
here
is
rory
he's
10
weeks
old.
He
was
just
neutered,
he
has
his
claws
and
we
want
him
to
keep
their
claws.
That's
one
of
our
policies.
You
can't
declaw
them
and
he
has
a
brother
who's,
almost
identical,
you'll
notice.
Here
this
one
has
the
white
on
his
neck.
B
It
doesn't
quite
go
all
the
way
around
well,
his
brothers
does
so
anyway.
They're
all
all
cats
today
are
going
to
be
siblings.
That
was
born
and
fought.
He
was
born
in
foster
care,
so
he's
never
really
lived
with
his
own
family
and
we
prefer
you
to
adopt
him
with
one
of
his
brothers
or
sisters,
but
you
don't
have
to
if
you'd
like
to
meet
rory
just
go
to
the
website
and
you
can
make
an
appointment.
The
people
here
are
great
to
deal
with
and
he's
looking
for
a
fun
fun
home.
B
This
is
a
different
cat,
believe
it
or
not.
This
is
duncan
the
brother
and,
like
I
said
before,
his
white
goes
all
the
way
around
where
rory's
did
not
and
again
we
prefer
you
adopting
pears
it's
best
if
a
cat
has
another
cat
to
play
with,
and
I
am
very
fond
of
orange
tabbies,
because
I
have
one
myself,
but
you
can
see
he's
very
chill
here.
Look
at
me
just
loving
all
of
this
attention,
so
purring
away.
B
B
He
is
supposedly
very
sweet
and
quiet
right
now,
he's
very
scared
because
all
these
lights,
but
he's
very
tiny-
and
I
think
he'd
be
just
a
lot
of
fun
to
have
so
there
again,
you
don't
have
to
adopt
two,
but
we
do
hope
they
have
another
cat
to
play
with
if
possible.
B
So
if
you
hadn't
figured
it
out
already,
malcolm,
is
the
only
not
orange
tabby
of
the
bunch
and
he's
purring
like
he's,
got
warmed
up
now,
he's
purring
now
so
very
loving
cat
turn
that
way.
Buddy
yeah
he's
starting
to
warm
up
now
so
anyway,
once
again
go
to
the
website
schedule
an
appointment
and
you
can
come
see
malcolm
and
fall
in
love.
B
All
right,
finally,
we
have
wallace
and
he
is
a
cuddler.
He
is
the
biggest
one
of
the
litter
and
he
was
the
mama's
boy.
He
followed
her
everywhere
now.
One
thing
I
want
to
mention
is:
we
also
do
not
want
these
to
be
outdoor
cats.
We
are
looking
for
these
to
be
indoor
cats
and
also,
if
you
don't
feel
as
comfortable
on
the
computer,
you
can
call
the
shelter
or
you
can
even
go
on
the
facebook
page
and
that'll
show
you
some
ways
there.
So
this
one
here
also
has
all
his
claws.
B
A
If
you
want
to
see
all
the
animals
make
sure
you
go
to
our
website
at
amesanimalshelter.org,
and
you
can
see
all
the
animals
available
for
adoption
or
if
you've
lost
a
pet,
a
great
place
to
look
start
your
search
there
to
see
if
we've
maybe
picked
it
up
or
it's
been
brought
in
here
to
the
animal
shelter
for
safe
keeping
until
it
can
be
reunited
with
its
owners
so
again
check
out
that
website.
Aimsanimalshelter.Org
our
facebook
page
also
has
lots
of
information
about
caring
for
pets.
