A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
aims.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
first
little
fuzzy
guy
here
with
me
is
bear-
bear
was
actually
just
owner
surrendered
to
us
yesterday.
Is
his
people
didn't
have
time
for
him.
Didn't
have
the
space
for
him
he's
just
four
months
old.
So
as
with
every
puppy,
they
need
lots
of
space
lots
of
places
to
burn
off
that
energy
lots
of
training.
A
A
He
obviously
still
needs
to
learn
a
lot
of
behavior
and
in
manners
and
make
him
a
good
puppy
again
with
all
puppies
he's,
not
a
bad
puppy.
He
just
just
a
puppy
and
needs
a
lot
of
training.
Puppy
classes
are
very
important.
That
training
is
very
important
to
bring
him
into
a
new
home
and
make
him
a
successful
member
of
the
family
with
you,
heisel
interested
on
what's
on
the
floor
here
in
the
kiddie
room.
But
this
is
bear
again.
Bear
is
four
months
old.
A
He
is
not
neutered,
but
he
will
be
neutered
before
he
goes
home.
Purebred,
Australian,
Shepherd,
they're
part
of
the
herding
breed
group,
so
they
like
to
heard
things
and
that
could
include
small
children.
So
you
want
to
do
a
lot
of
research
on
the
breed.
It's
not
a
breed
for
everybody,
and
it's
very
important
to
us
that
we
find
an
appropriate
home
here
for
bear.
A
We
want
to
make
sure
that
his
next
home
is
a
is
a
permanent
home
and
one
that's
going
to
give
him
the
training
and
everything
that
he
needs
to
to
be
a
good
canine
citizen.
So
if
you
have
any
questions,
we'd
like
to
meet
bear
come
on
down
to
the
Ames
animal
shelter.
You're
welcome
to
call
us
as
well.
A
A
The
owner
had
passed
away
and
had
quite
a
few
cats
in
the
home
and
unfortunately,
the
Rescue
League
did
not
have
the
space
to
take
on
all
the
cats,
so
they
put
a
sent
out
a
plea
to
get
help
with
some
of
the
cats
that
they
had.
Fortunately,
we've
had
so
many
wonderful
adoptions.
We
had
some
space
here,
so
we
gladly
opened
up
the
space
for
four
of
these
cats,
and
amaretto
was
just
one
of
them.
A
Beautiful
kind
of
long-haired
cat
here
I
was
going
to
enjoy
the
cat
room,
we're
very,
very
friendly,
just
a
little
shy
around
the
cameras,
but
still
very
sweet
and
gentle.
He
does
have
all
of
his
claws
and
he's
stretching
here
for
us
has
all
of
his
claws.
He
has
already
been
neutered
and
he's
ready
to
go
to
a
forever
home.
He
does.
A
So
if
you're
interested
in
amaretto
contact
the
Ames
animal
shelter-
and
we
love
to
introduce
you
to
him
and
see,
if
he's
the
right
kitty
for
you
in
your
home
and
of
course,
we
want
amaretto
to
make
sure
that
he
stays
in
an
indoor,
only
home,
very
important
for
all
of
our
cats.
Here
at
the
Ames
animal
shelter.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
they're,
safe
and
indoors
with
the
people.
A
And
our
next
shelter
guest
today
is
Wally.
Some
of
you
may
remember
Wally.
He
was
here
in
the
past.
He
was
adopted
about
three
and
a
half
months
ago.
Unfortunately,
the
adopters
for
Wally
developed
some
allergies,
so
they
had
to
return
him
to
us.
So
we
had
a
lot
of
interest
in
Wally
when
he
was
here.
He
was
just
a
really
nice
cat
and
very
friendly
with
everybody
that
he
met
even
after
just
coming
here.
A
Not
even
an
hour
ago,
you
see
he's
already
kind
of
relaxed
again
I'm,
just
enjoying
the
view
here
in
the
Kitty
room.
But
Wally
is
a
great
cat
he's
already
neutered.
He
is
front
declawed
and,
as
I
mentioned
with
amaretto,
it's
extremely
important
that
all
of
our
cats
that
are
adopted
here
from
the
Ames
animal
shelter
stay
indoors,
only
even
more
important
for
Wally,
because
he
doesn't
have
any
defense
mechanisms
if
he
does
get
out.
A
So
we
always
want
to
make
sure
and
be
really
really
careful
and
try
to
prevent
any
kind
of
accidents
to
make
sure
that
he
does
stay
in
the
home
because
he
doesn't
have
his
claws
in
the
front.
We
estimate
that
Wally
is
about
six
years
old
again.
He
was
just
brought
in
today
and
he's
available
for
adoption
again
we're
really
hoping
for
a
forever
home.
So
while
licking
adjust
to
a
new
environment
and
hopefully
about
the
rest
of
his
life
in
a
new
home,
the
owner
brought
him
in
because
she
has
allergies.
A
So
some
of
those
things
you
can't
prevent
from
happening,
but
we
definitely
want
to
make
sure
that
adopters
spend
a
lot
of
time
with
the
animals
here
at
the
shelter
before
they
determine
which
one
they're
interested
in
to
see
if
any
kind
of
allergies
pop
up
and
not
that
it's
a
guarantee
that
nothing
else
will
come
up.
But
we
want
to
make
sure
that
if
we
see
any
signs
or
anything
that
maybe
it's
something
we
should
kind
of
weight
on,
because
we
don't
want
to
bounce
them
around.
A
A
Thank
you
for
watching
this
episode
of
animal
names.
Remember
that's
just
a
short
sampling
of
the
animals
that
we
have
here
for
adoption
right
now.
We
actually
don't
have
any
other
dogs
besides
bear
for
adoption,
but
keep
checking
back
with
us
and
remember
that
our
new
website
keep
is
updated
every
hour.
A
So
if
an
animal
comes
here
on
the
shelter
within
one
hour,
it's
going
to
be
up
on
our
website,
so
you
will
always
be
able
to
see
the
animals
that
are
here
at
the
shelter
available
for
adoption
and
you're
always
welcome
to
call
us
too
we're
happy
to
share
that
information
with
anybody.
That's
interested
in
adopting
a
pet,
but
of
course
we
love
when
you
come
on
down
to
the
shelter
so
come
on
down
and
visit
us
at
325,
Billy
Sunday
road.
Thank
you.
