A
A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
a
name.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames,
Animal
Shelter
and
animal
control
program.
The
first
guests
we
have
here
today-
and
this
is
going
to
be
a
kitten
show
today,
as
I've
mentioned
on
our
previous
show.
We
have
lots
of
kittens
right
now.
A
Oreo
is
the
first
one
here,
beautiful
black
and
white,
mostly
white,
with
some
black
spots.
They're
got
a
solid
black
tail.
They
always
want
to
pay
attention
to
me
instead
of
the
camera.
Once
you
look
that
way
turn
around.
He
is
about
four
months
old.
He
still
needs
to
be
neutered,
so
we've
got
him
scheduled
for
that
surgery
and
he
will
be
ready
to
go
home
really
soon.
So
I
think
within
the
next
week
he's
going
to
be
ready
to
go
to
his
new,
hopefully
forever
home.
A
He
is
one
of
many
kittens
that
we're
going
to
show
today
and
that
are
here
at
the
shelter
available
for
adoption.
So,
if
you're,
looking
for
a
young
cat,
that
you
can
share
your
home
with
and
share
your
family
with,
Oriole
might
be
the
one
or
we
have
a
lot
of
other
ones
here
too
available
for
adoption,
as
I
say
on
every
show.
Oreo
does
come
with
his
claws.
That's
all
part
of
the
package
deal
here.
A
He
was
born
with
them
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
he
keeps
them
all
so
we're
adamantly
against
the
declawing
procedure,
and
he
doesn't
want
to
go
through
that
procedure
and
he's
actually
just
see
him.
Swatting,
in
my
hand,
he's
not
using
his
nails,
but
the
best
thing
to
do
is
to
train
the
cats
to
scratch
on
appropriate
things
and
make
sure
you're
providing
them
with
those
appropriate
things
to
scratch.
A
On
so
he's
a
very
playful
kitten,
as
all
kittens
are
so
when
you're
thinking
about
that
match
and
want
to
make
sure
that
you're
bringing
the
right
Kitty
into
your
home.
You
know
as
a
kitten
with
all
of
their
energy
and
just
big
earnest,
or
is
that
the
right
match
for
your
home?
So
that's
not
the
question.
We
want
people
to
think
of
before
they
consider
adopting
a
kitten
because
they
are
so
rambunctious.
A
They
like
to
run
under
your
feet
and
climb
up
your
curtains
and
jump
on
counter
tops,
so
just
something
to
think
about
with
them
and
again
he's
a
very
sweet
kitty
here,
although
he's
trying
to
attack
my
arm,
he
wants
to
play
with
his
toys,
and
he
just
have
my
arm
right
here.
So
making
sure
he
has
all
the
appropriate
toys
and
things
to
scratch
is
a
good
idea
for
these
little
kittens.
A
And
our
next
guest
today
is
Hudson
Hudson's
kind
of
this
medium
here,
almost
a
long-haired,
beautiful
kind
of
buff
colored
orange
cat.
Here
this
kind
of
tan
orange
color
mix
is
typically
referred
to
as
buff.
It's
got
the
beautiful
hair
in
the
ears
there
and
that's
typically,
what
you
see
with
Maine
cats
is
that
hair
in
the
ears
they're
really
kind
of
getting
that
distinct
features
on
their
face.
So
hopefully
that
shows
up
well
on
the
camera.
A
He
is
also
available
for
adoption
and
just
like
the
other
part
about
4
months
old,
is
what
we're
guessing
and
has
at
least
the
age-appropriate
vaccinations
at
this
point,
but
is
ready
and
looking
for
a
great
home
we're
having
a
bit
of
a
special,
unapproved
doctors.
If
you're
looking
at
adopting
one
of
our
kittens,
we
will
actually
let
you
adopt
a
second
one
as
long
as
you're
allowed
to
have
them
in
your
in
your
living
situation
at
no
charge.
So
you
only
pay
the
one
adoption
fee
and
you
get
two
kitties.
A
So
it's
important
for
these
guys
to
have
companions
and
while
you're
at
work
or
at
school
classes,
they'll
have
each
other
to
keep
company
and
things.
So
we
want
to
try
to
adopt
these
guys
in
pairs
whenever
we
can,
and
several
of
them
are
already
kind
of
matched
up
together.
So
hopefully
we
can
find
a
good
home
for
two
of
them
together,
so
four
approved
adopters.
A
And
our
next
guest
today
is
Braxton.
Braxton
is
actually
kennel
mates
with
the
other
two
that
I've
just
shown
so
they're
all
very
familiar
with
each
other
Braxton
is,
is
beautiful,
also
kind
of
a
medium
haired
long
medium
to
long
haired,
black
Kitty.
So
he
saw
the
black.
No
white
also
has
a
little
bit
of
hair
in
the
ears
there,
but
not
quite
as
much
as
the
the
buff
colored
Kitty.
So
this
one
here
is
also
a
male.
A
So
as
with
all
of
the
animals
that
are
adopted
here
from
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
he
will
be
neutered
before
he
goes
to
his
forever
home,
but
we
like
to
get
him
adopted
soon.
So
he
spent
a
lot
of
time
here
in
the
shelter
so
we'd
like
to
get
him
into
a
home
where
he
can
really
grow
and
just
become
part
of
the
family.
That's
what
we're
looking
for
with
all
the
animals
that
we
adopt
here
at
the
shelter
is
for
them
to
be
a
big
part
of
your
family.
A
A
And
our
final
guest
for
the
day
today
is
Ray
and
I
wanted
to
save
her
for
last,
because
I
wanted
to
show
you
just
how
just
excited
this
kitten
gets
about
kitten,
food
and
she's,
nice
and
plump.
She
does
not
need
all
this
extra
food,
but
she
sure
loves
it.
So
we
wanted
to
show
people
who
donate
to
us
and
who
help
out
our
animals
here.
Just
how
much
it
means
to
these
little
furry
creatures.
Ray
is
a
perfect
example.
A
When
she
came
in
our
wonderful
Animal,
Control
Clerk
a
be
actually
fostered
her
because
she
could
not
she
would
not
eat.
So
we
were
really
concerned
about
her
welfare
and
whether
or
not
she
was
going
to
start
eating
on
her
own
because
she
came
to
us
as
such
a
tiny
little
kitten
that
really
still
needed
her
mom.
A
Now
she
is
one
of
the
biggest
just
hoarders
of
the
kitten
food,
so
she's
in
a
kennel
with
several
other
kittens
and
even
though
she's
one
of
the
smallest
ones
as
far
as
the
size,
she
tends
to
get
all
the
wet
food
so
and
you'll
see
here
in
just
a
second.
So
I
want
to
show
you
if
she's
going
to
chew
on
my
arm
until
I
give
her
some
food
you're
a
good
girl.
Yes,
you
are
so
this
is
Ray
and
you
can't
eat
the
microphone,
no
say
hi,
say
hi,
yeah,
good
kitty!
A
A
We
kind
of
see
her
here
and
it's
not
going
to
take
her
long
to
completely
just
devour
this
food.
We
do
feed
them,
Purina,
Pro,
Plan!
That's
what
we
ask
our
donors
to
give,
because
we
want
to
keep
them
on
a
consistent
diet.
It
really
helps
with
their
with
their
stool,
also
just
maintaining
a
good
body
weight.
So
you're
going
to
see
on
our
Facebook
post
and
various
very
next
few
days
that
we're
going
to
be
asking
donors
to
help
out
again.
We
have
so
many
kittens
right
now.
A
A
This
is
in
addition
to
the
dry
food
that
she's
throughout
the
day,
so
she
is
going
to
be
I'm
thinking
she
if
she
grows
into
all
the
food
she's
eating
she's
going
to
be
a
large
kitty,
but
Ray
is
also
available
for
adoption.
She
also
has
been
scheduled
for
her
space
surgery
and
will
be
able
to
go
to
her
forever
home
very
soon.
So
if
Ray
or
any
of
the
other
kittens
that
I've
shown
today
or
any
of
the
other
cats
that
are
here
at
the
shelter
spark,
an
interest
come
on
down.
A
We'd
love
to
talk
to
you
about
them
and
again,
maybe
consider
adopting
more
than
one
approved
adopters
with
applications
are
approved.
We
would
consider
doing
the
two-for-one
adoptions
and
sending
two
home
two
cats
home
for
just
the
price
of
one
adoption
fee
so
come
on
down
and
meet
ray
and
all
the
others
we'd
love
to
show
them
to
you.
A
This
is
our
show
for
the
day
and
again,
that's
just
a
really
quick
sampling
of
the
kittens
that
we
have
available
here
for
adoption
and,
of
course,
this
time
of
year.
Please
don't
forget
the
adults
they
need
homes
too,
but
we'll
wait
until
they
get
adopted
and
they're
here
safe
and
we'll
take
care
of
them
until
they
get
adopted.
So
we
hope
that
they'll
find
their
forever
home
soon
to
all
of
our
dogs
have
been
adopted.
A
We
do
have
a
few
of
them
that
are
in
kind
of
a
foster
to
adopt
situation,
to
see
how
well
they're
going
to
fit
in
their
new
homes,
but
very
proud
that
our
kennels
are
empty.
Again.
We
have
no
dogs
here
on
the
facility
waiting
for
their
forever
homes,
so
that
again
points
to
our
responsible
community
and
people
that
keep
their
pets
at
home
and
keep
them
safe
and
provide
for
them
and
hopefully
provide
for
them
for
their
entire
lifetime.
So
that's
really
important
to
us
wanted
to
share
with
you.
A
A
Amazing
adopters
came
in
and
really
understand,
Delilah.
They
understand
her
issues
and
hope
that
they'll
be
able
to
find
a
place
for
her.
That's
going
to
fit
in
well
so
she's
in
a
foster
to
adopt
and
we're
really
hoping
that
it's
going
to
work
out.
Delilah
will
never
have
to
come
back
to
the
shelter
again.
So
now
our
next
cat
to
get
adopted
is
Mimi
she's,
our
second
longest
residence.
So
I
showed
you
all
the
kittens
today.
But
when
you
come
down,
please
take
a
look
at
the
adults.
