A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
a
name.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
I'm,
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames,
Animal,
Shelter
and
animal
control
program.
This
first
guest
here
with
us
today
is
Beauregard
and
he
is
just
really
relaxed.
He
is
not
camera
shy
at
all.
As
you
can
see
and
we'll
see
if
he
gets
up
here
in
a
minute,
he
came
into
the
shelter
as
a
stray.
He
was
in
pretty
bad
shape.
You
say
something
he
was
not
neutered.
A
He
had
worms.
His
hair
was
just
in
really
bad
shape,
so
he
hadn't
been
taken
care
of
for
quite
a
while,
so
he
may
have
been
an
outdoor
cat
at
some
point
or
probably
most
of
his
life.
But
of
course
we
want
to
make
sure
that
all
of
our
cats
get
adopted
to
indoor
only
homes
where
they're
going
to
be
safe
and
they're
not
going
to
be
exposed
to
to
cars
to
internal
parasites.
Fleas
ticks
all
those
different
things
that
you
snuck
all
those
things
that
they
get
he's
actually
a
pretty
active
cat.
A
A
You'll
start
you'll
see
here
that
he's
got
quite
a
bit
of
hair
missing,
he's
actually
grown
back
since
he's
been
here
with
us.
We
got
him
in
a
high
quality
food
which
we
would
definitely
like
his
adopters
to
continue,
but
he
is
just
a
very
exceptional
cat.
Just
loves
this
attention.
He
would
probably
stay
here
all
day,
so
we
have
named
him
Beauregard
and
again
he
was
not
neutered
when
he
came
in,
but
he
is
neutered
now
and
looking
for
his
forever
home.
We
don't
know
how
he
would
do
with
other
cats.
A
He
may
be
fine.
He
has
not
shown
any
behavior
problems
here
whatsoever,
so
he's
gentle.
He
has
all
of
his
claws
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
he
keeps
them.
He
has
never
used
them
inappropriately
when
picking
him
up
or
petting
him.
The
staff
know
when
we
go
to
his
kennel
and
give
him
his
food
at
night
that
you
got
to
spend
time
petting
him
because
he
needs
to
be
pet
before
he
actually
starts
his
food.
A
So
a
very
nice
cat
that
deserves
some
better
care
than
what
he's
had
in
the
first
part
of
his
life.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
he
gets
all
that
he
deserves
and
the
second
part
of
his
life.
So
if
you're
interested
in
Beauregard
come
on
down
to
the
shelter
we
love
to
introduce
you
to
this
very
friendly
guy
and.
A
A
You
know
ten
months
old
he's
got
a
lot
of
kitten
energy
left
in
him
and
and
will
for
quite
a
while,
but
he
was
just
too
much
in
his
house
what
he
was
looking
for,
more
of
a
quiet
cat
and
more
of
a
calm
cat-
and
this
is
not
Hank
Hank-
has
a
lot
of
energy
wants
to
play
all
the
time,
love
the
attention.
Oh
yes,
he's
giving
me
some
hugs
there
and
bumps,
but
Hank
is
a
very
nice
cat.
Again,
we
have
not
seen
any
behavior
problems
with
him.
A
He
he's
also
not
too
camera
shy
either.
He
is
really
turned
out
to
be
a
nice
cat
here
when
he
first
got
here.
He
was
scared,
but
has
really
turned
out
to
be
a
great
cat.
We
think
Hank
would
probably
do
really
well
with
another
cat.
So
if
you
have
another
young
cat
or
very
playful
cat
Hank
might
be
a
good
companion.
They
can
run
and
play
all
day
together
and
maybe
keep
each
other
happy
while
you're
at
work,
but
he
just
seems
like
a
really
sweet
cat
he's
a
little
on
the
smaller
side.
A
Here
he
is
full-grown,
so
he
may
fill
out
a
little
yes
I
know
he
may
fill
out
a
little
bit
more,
but
he
is
full-grown.
Beautiful
grey
coat
here
with
the
white
I
mean.
Is
the
white
socks
on
all
four?
So
just
a
really
nice
cat,
that's
available
here
for
adoption.
His
said
he
was
adopted.
He
only
stayed
in
that
home
for
11
days
and
then
the
just
decided
it.
A
Then
it
was
too
much
so
Hank
really
needs
a
forever
home
that
understands
that
he's
going
to
be
rambunctious
and
have
a
lot
of
energy
and
want
to
he's
going
to
want
to
burn
all
that
energy
off
and
make
sure
that
he
stays
inside
and
maybe
has
a
companion
kitty
to
play
with
him.
So
again
this
is
Hank.
He
has
been
neutered.
He
is
available
for
adoption
and
we're
estimating
he's
about.
A
So
that's
our
show
for
today,
and
that
was
just
two
of
the
cats
that
we
have
available
for
adoption.
We
currently
have
22
cats
that
are
in
the
cat
adoption
room.
We
also
have
some
kittens
that
are
in
foster
care,
and
we
can't
give
you
a
day
yet
when
they're
going
to
be
coming
back,
it
all
depends
on
how
much
they
weigh
and
did
they
stay
healthy,
but
I
would
probably
estimate
within
the
next
three
weeks
would
possibly
be
a
good
time
to
start
checking
back
with
us.
A
If
you're
looking
for
a
kitten,
we
also
want
to
make
sure
remind
people
that
we
really
want
to
encourage
those
adults
adoptions.
A
lot
of
the
adults
that
we
have
right
now
will
unfortunately,
usually
have
to
sit
here
and
wait
until
all
the
kittens
are
adopted
and
then
they'll
finally
get
their
turn.
But
you
know
they're
safe
they're,
going
to
stay
here
with
us
until
they
get
adopted,
but
we
really
like
and
encourage
people
to
look
at
the
adult
cats
instead
of
just
looking
at
the
kittens.
As
I
mentioned
on
our
previous
show.
A
A
There's
going
to
be
a
petting
zoo
from
the
story,
county,
shelter
and
food
and
drinks
for
people
to
enjoy,
while
you're
looking
at
the
event
there
so
another
great
event
that
helps
to
support
animals
at
the
Story,
County
and
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
so
a
very
unique
joining
event
for
two
agencies
that
work
together
to
help
homeless
animals
here
in
our
community
and
especially
in
Story
County.
So
again,
when
I
thank
everybody
for
all
of
your
support,
helping
make
all
these
events
possible.
All
the
adoptions
that
we've
had.
A
We
just
truly
have
an
amazing
community
here
and
I'm,
so
thankful
that
we
have
people
here
in
our
community
that
step
up.
We
have
two
dogs
in
the
shelter
right
now
we're
waiting
for
their
owners
to
pick
them
up,
and
we
know
that
Ames
is
a
very
responsible
community
and
I'm
sure
they'll
be
picked
up
today.
So
it's
unfortunate,
we
don't
have
any
for
adoption
right
now,
but
we're
getting
them
back
to
their
owners
when
they
come
into
the
shelter's.
So
thanks
for
watching
this
episode,.
