A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
Ames.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
and
the
animal
control
super
for
the
Ames,
Animal,
Shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
first
guest
with
us
today
is
Hugo.
Hugo
is
a
very
high-energy,
German
Shepherd,
possibly
piece
it.
Chum
hi
sit
Joey
sit.
A
You
had
someone
off
camera
here
to
help
us
out
with
him,
because
he
has
quite
a
bit
of
energy.
So
Hugo
is
a
German
Shepherd,
bull,
terrier
mix,
we
believe,
is
in
his
mixture.
Here
he
came
to
us
originally
as
an
owner
surrender
you'll
notice
here
that
his
tail
is
short.
He
has
a
doc
tail.
We
actually
had
that
procedure
done
at
our
friends
at
Somerset
vet
hospital.
He
was
actually
good
catch
good
catch
boy.
He
was
actually
taught
to
chase
his
tail,
which
he
ended
up,
biting
him
causing
injury.
A
So
we
had
that
tail
a
portion
of
it
amputated,
so
he
would
not
cause
that
injury
to
himself.
He
still
has
that
habit
of
kind
of
spinning
in
circles,
but
he
is
much
better
now.
He
again
a
lot
of
energy
wants
to
tell
you
his
own
story
and
she's
trying
to
get
that
there.
You
go
good
boy
he's
a
good
catcher.
So
Hugo
is
available
for
adoption
he's
about
five
years
old,
the
adopter
when
he
was
adopted
from
our
shelter
about
a
year
and
a
half
ago.
A
They
actually
got
a
new
puppy,
so
unfortunately,
Hugo
didn't
fit
in
with
their
new
family
and
the
new
puppy.
So
they
brought
him
back
to
us.
So
it's
just
really
important
with
these
guys
that
we
are
making
a
lifetime
commitment.
That's
what
we're
asking
of
all
of
our
adopters,
and
we
definitely
want
that
for
Hugo,
so
he
can
be
with
a
family
and
learn
how
to
live
in
the
home
and
be
a
good
boy
and
be
a
good
canine
citizen.
A
So,
if
you're
interested
in
a
really
high
energy
dog,
the
dog
that
will
go
running
with
you,
Joe
King,
maybe
some
some
mountain
climbing
he's
just
a
lot
of
energy,
a
lot
of
fun,
beautiful
dog.
He
just
really
needs
the
right
home
for
him
and
a
home,
that's
gonna!
Let
him
burn
off
some
that
energy.
He
loves
playing
with
balls,
so
getting
him
a
big
bouncy
ball
is
gonna,
really
keep
him
happy
and
keep
that
energy
down
to
an
acceptable
level.
So
he's
a
good
boy.
Yes,
sure
he's
a
good
boy.
A
Our
next
guest
here
today
is
Rango.
Rango
is
a
mixture
of
border
collie,
Labrador,
Retriever
and
American
bulldog
Rango
is
actually
here
from
the
almost
home,
Humane
Society
in
Fort
Dodge.
You
may
remember
he
was
just
at
the
end
of
the
last
show
that
we
had
he
was
just
coming
in
so
now,
we've
gotten
to
know
Rangel
a
little
bit
better
and
so
the
breed
mixture
there
that
you
see
that's.
Actually
they
did
a
DNA
test
on
Rango.
A
So
we
know
that
those
are
the
primary
breeds
that
make
up
this
beautiful
dog
here
he's
a
little
nervous
in
Harry's.
It's
got
he's
shaken
a
bit,
but
the
cameras
and
lights
are
kind
of
new
to
him.
So
he
is
a
dog
that
takes
a
little
bit
of
time
to
warm
up
to
or
he
takes
a
while
to
warm
up
to
people.
I
should
say
we
warm
up
to
him
right
away,
but
he
is
adjusting
to
the
environment.
He's
a
very
well
behaved
dog,
definitely
potty-trained.
A
When
we
get
here
in
the
morning.
His
first
thing
is
to
run
outside
and
and
go
potty.
He
want
to
show
him
shake
yeah
good
boy.
He
does
know
a
few
commands
again
he's
kind
of
shy.
So
if
you
come
here
to
the
shelter,
you'll
see
him
kind
of
in
the
back
of
his
kennel
and
it
takes
him
a
while
to
kind
of
get
adjusted
to
where
he
feels
comfortable
and
we'll
come
up
and
greet
people.
A
But
once
he
knows
you,
as
he
knows
all
of
our
staff
now
he's
really
kind
of
grown
on
us
and
he
once
he
sees
as
he
knows
that
were
there
to
be
protecting
him
and
caring
for
him
and
loving
him.
So
Rango
is
available
for
adoption
he's
about
five
years
old
and
he
is
part
of
our
pet
transfer
program
that
we
have
with
the
Fort
Dodge
Humane
Society,
the
almost
home
Humane
Society,
so
trying
to
help
them
out
with
some
dogs
that
they
have
available
for
adoption.
A
A
And
our
third
and
final
guest
today
is
Sascha.
Sascha
is
a
beautiful,
German
Shepherd.
She
is
about
1
year
old.
She
still
needs
to
be
spayed.
She
was
owner
surrendered
to
us
because
the
other
dog
in
the
home.
She
was
she's
little
bit
on
the
dog
selective
side,
so
she
decides
which
dog
she
wants
in
which
one
she
doesn't.
So
the
dog
that
lived
at
the
home
also
another
German
Shepherd.
She
was
not
too
fond
of,
so
she
tend
to
be
a
little
bit
mouthy
with
that
dog.
A
A
So
we
are
looking
for
that
very
experienced
home
for
Sasha
or
possibly
getting
her
into
a
rescue
organization.
She
is
here
at
the
shelter
if
you
feel
like
you,
have
that
experience
and
are
interested
in
a
dog
that
you
can
work
with
and
trained
and
you'd
like
to
give
Sasha,
try
and
try
and
see
if
she'll
fit
into
your
home.
Come
on
Sasha
come
on
down
to
the
shelter
we'd
love
to
introduce
you
to
her
and
show
you
she
doesn't
know
a
few
commands.
A
You
sit
he's
it
good
girl,
good
girl,
so
she
does
know
some
commands,
of
course,
for
treats.
That
always
makes
it
much
easier
for
her,
so
she
has
a
sweet
dog
and
I
just
need
some
extra
training
and
that
special
home
that
has
that
experience
with
her.
So
if
you
think
Sasha
might
be
the
dog
for
you
come
on
down
to
the
Ames
animal
show.
A
A
We
want
to
make
sure
that
the
boomer
gets
back
to
his
rightful
people
and
want
to
make
sure
that
he
that
he
finds
that
home
and
make
sure
that
we
get
some
identification
on
this
really
cute
collar
that
he
has
here.
So
boomers
are
really
cheap.
It's
not
safe
out
there
running
around,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
he
gets
home
safe.
So
thank
you
for
watching
today's
show.
Remember
we
have
lots
of
cats
available
for
adoption.
Our
community
cat
room
now
named
kitty
city
is
really
coming
along.
A
We're
actually
going
to
have
some
murals
painted
in
the
room.
So
it's
going
to
be
really
nice,
so
the
first
of
the
next
month
we're
going
to
have
those
murals
painted
in
there.
So
we're
really
excited
and
the
improvements
in
that
room
that
we're
making
for
the
cats
that
live
in
there
until
they
find
their
forever
homes
and
I
can't
thank
everybody
again
for
all
their
donations
to
help
make
that
room
possible.
So
thank
you
for
watching
the
show
and
thank
you
for
all
that
you
do
for
the
animals
here
in
Ames.
