A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
Ames.
My
name
is
Ron
Edwards
and
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
Ames,
Animal,
Shelter
and
animal
control
program.
Our
first
kitty
here
with
us
today
is
Mei
Mei
Mei
Mei
is
a
transfer
from
our
partners
at
the
Animal
Rescue
League
of
Iowa.
A
We
made
a
call
in
to
them
and
see
wanted
to
see
if
we
can
help
them
out
with
all
the
cats
that
they
get
in
their
facility
and
Mamie
was
one
of
those
special
kitties
that
they
transferred
over
to
us.
So
she
is
a
seal
point.
Siamese
mix,
she's
kind
of
a
long
kind
of
medium
to
long
hair.
Here
beautiful
kitty,
they're,
estimating
that
she's
between
seven
and
ten
somewhere
in
that
age
range
so
a
little
bit
of
a
senior
kitty,
but
by
no
means
an
old
kitty.
A
You
don't
want
to
tell
her
that
she's
got
this
very
unique
crinkled
ear
here.
It's
maybe
from
some
kind
of
an
old
injury
or
something,
but
it
doesn't
perk
up
there
quite
like
the
other
one
does,
but
that
just
makes
her
very
special
doesn't
make
her
a
misfit
at
all.
She
is
just
a
very
special
kitty.
She
came
in
to
us.
She
was
front
declawed
and
she
was
already
spayed.
A
The
Animal
Rescue
League
did
do
some
dental
work
on
her
and
pulled
some
teeth,
and
now
she
is
all
better,
so
you're
getting
quite
a
clean
bill
of
health
here
with
Mamie.
So
if
you're
interested
here
in
this
special
kitty,
she
is
kind
of
a
what
we
call
a
senior
kitty
and
one
that
would
probably
love
to
just
sit
here
and
watch
her
favorite
episode
of
animals
and
aims.
A
So
if
you're
interested
in
a
beautiful
senior
kitty
was
she
can
look
up
at
the
camera
there
and
show
her
beautiful
eyes
if
you're
interested
in
this
kitty
here
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter
come
on
down
we'd
love
to
introduce
you
introduce
you
to
her
and
tell
you
a
little
bit
more
about
her
story.
She
came
in
as
a
stray
to
the
Animal
Rescue
League,
so
we're
kind
of
getting
to
know
her
as
well
here
and
she
just
seems
to
be
a
really
sweet
kitty.
So
come
on
down
and
meet
Mamie.
A
A
So
we
got
a
call
from
the
Nevada
Police
Department
to
again
as
one
of
our
partners,
and
they
asked
us
if
we
would
take
Baxter
in
and
give
him
an
opportunity
to
find
his
forever
home
here
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter
we're
estimating
that
Baxter
is
about
three
years
old.
He
is
a
Parsons
Russell's
Terrier,
so
it's
a
Jack
Russell
Terrier,
but
a
Parsons
Terrier
is
actually
what
they
call
them
nowadays
that
switched
from
when
I
started
in
the
business,
but
he
is
a
Parsons.
A
Terrier
seems
to
be
a
really
sweet
guy,
a
little
selective
on
the
dogs
that
he
seems
to
like.
You
seem
he's
a
little
shy.
He
was
embarrassed
by
what
I
just
said
about
him,
that
he
seems
to
be
a
really
sweet
dog
and
again
gets
along
really
well
with
everybody
that
he's
met.
He's
just
been
a
little
selective
on
the
dogs
that
he's
met
here,
so
he
might
be
better
in
a
home
where
he's
the
only
dog
or
possibly
making
sure
that
the
other
dog
that
you
have
is
very
friendly
and
social
with
other
dogs.
A
So,
if
you're
interested
in
this
little
guy
here
again,
he
is
a
Parsons
Terrier,
also
known
as
a
Jack
Russell
terrier.
He
is
available
for
adoption.
His
name
is
Baxter.
He
is
already
neutered
and
again
he's
estimated
to
be
about
three
years
old.
So
if
you're
interested
in
Baxter
and
like
to
know
more
about
him
or
meet
him
here
at
the
shelter,
come
on
down,
we'd
love
to
introduce
you
to
him.
A
That's
our
show
for
today
we
want
to
thank
everybody
for
watching
I
mentioned
on
last,
show
that
we
had
our
fundraiser
at
the
Lincoln
Center
high
V
wanted
to
announce
the
totals.
For
that
event,
it
was
five
thousand
eight
hundred
and
six
dollars,
so
it
exceeded
their
fundraising
goal
of
five
thousand
five
hundred.
So
very,
very
thankful
and
100
percent
of
those
donations
come
back
here
to
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter
and
we'll
go
to
help
our
furry
friends
here
at
the
shelter
that
was
the
sampling
of
the
animals
that
we
have
here
at
the
shelter.
A
Today,
you
seen
a
picture
on
the
last
episode
of
animals
and
names
from
the
four
dogs
that
we
had
transferred
from
Oklahoma
and
several
of
those
have
already
gotten
home.
We
have
holds
on
a
few
others,
but
tank
is
still
looking
for
his
home
he's
a
Rottweiler
mix.
She
may
remember
him
from
the
picture,
but
very
very
nice
dog
be
a
great
dog.
Somebody's
very
active.
You
like
to
go
jogging
running
even
just
for
nice.
Walks
he'd
be
a
really
good
dog
for
that.
A
We
still
have
one
guinea
pig
our
bond,
a
pair
of
rabbits
they're
still
available
for
adoption
about
15
cats.
We
have
right
now
and
just
a
few
dogs.
So
if
you're
interested
in
any
of
those
come
on
down
here
to
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
we
love
to
introduce
you
to
them
and
see
if
they
might
be
a
good
fit
for
your
family.
Thanks
for
watching.
