A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
ames.
My
name
is
ron
edwards,
I'm
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
program.
We
have
a
great
co-host
today.
Her
name
is
christy
marnan.
She
is
in
the
public
relations
office
here
for
the
city
of
ames.
She
does
an
amazing
job
for
the
city
and
she
has
a
huge
heart
for
the
animals
and
really
helps
us
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
So
really
happy
to
welcome
christie
and
let's
meet
some
kitties
here
today
for
adoption.
B
This
is
gumdrop
he's
a
five-year-old
neutered
male
who
came
into
the
shelter
as
a
stray
he's
been
here
for
a
couple
of
months
now,
partially
because
he
is
a
special
needs.
Cat
he's
very
affectionate
here,
but
it's
discovered
that
he
has
diabetes
so
we'll
need
somebody
who
is
able
to
manage
him
as
a
special
needs
cat
because
he
will
need
to
have
medication
twice
a
day
for
the
rest
of
his
life.
B
Our
next
cat
that
we
have
up
for
adoption
is
verges
and
he's
a
one
and
a
half
year
old,
neutered
male,
very
sweet,
as
you
can
tell.
He
really
just
wants
me
to
to
give
him
a
lot
of
of
attention
here
and
pets
wants
to
just
snuggle
up.
He
doesn't
have
any
special
needs
and
he
does
well
with
other
cats
and
is
okay
with
a
dog.
That's
a
calm
dog!
B
Our
next
cat
today
is
jaeger,
he's
an
eight-year-old,
neutered
male,
very
pretty
cat.
If
you
can
see
his
face
here
with
a
gray
face
with
a
little
bit
of
white
on
it,
he's
very
laid
back,
but
would
probably
do
best
in
a
home
without
small
children,
it's
a
great
age
for
someone
who's,
maybe
had
a
cat
before
or
not
had
a
cat
before,
because
he's
laid
back
doesn't
need
a
lot
of
any
of
the
extra
attention
like
most
of
cats.
B
If
you're
looking
for
a
low
maintenance,
pet
cats
are
the
perfect
pet
for
that
they
are
very
independent
generally
speaking,
and
as
long
as
you
give
them
food
water
and
attention
they're
good
to
go
if
you'd
like
to
meet
jaeger
or
any
of
the
other
cats
that
you've
seen
today
or
others
that
might
be
here
at
the
shelter
ready
for
adoption.
You
can
call
and
make
an
appointment
at
the
ames
animal
shelter
or
complete
an
application
online
at
www.amesanimalshelter.org.
B
This
cat
we
have
here
is
maddie
and
she
is
a
two-year-old
girl.
Who's
been
spayed
and
she's.
Currently
in
the
cat
room
here
with
rum,
who
is
a
gray
tabby,
I'm
a
little
bit
younger
one
years
old,
they
don't
have
to
be
adopted
together,
they're
both
very
affectionate,
as
you
can
see
here,
with
maddie
she's,
just
really
digs
being
held
and
petted.
A
Well,
that's
our
show
for
today
and
again
can't
thank
christy
enough
for
making
time
in
her
very
busy
schedule
to
come
down
and
show
these
amazing
kitties
that
we
have
for
adoption.
That's
just
five
out
of
quite
a
few
kitties
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
Make
sure
you
check
out
our
website
at
amesaanimalshelter.org,
and
you
can
see
all
the
cats
and
dogs
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
and
rabbits.
I
can't
forget
the
rabbits
of
course.
A
We
also
have
about
11
kittens
that
are
going
to
be
coming
in
in
the
next
week,
so
you
definitely
want
to
keep
an
eye
on
our
website.
So,
if
you're
looking
for
a
kitten
or
two,
we
always
prefer
to
adopt
them
out
in
pairs.
We'll
have
them
up
on
our
website
within
the
next
week.
So
make
sure
you
keep
an
eye
on
that
website.
Also,
our
facebook
page
is
a
really
good
place
to
keep
get
updated
information
about
the
animals
so
keep
you
updated
here
what's
going
on
at
the
ames
animal
shelter,
thanks
for
watching.
