A
Hi
I'm
Nancy
Shah
was
healthy
living
today,
our
guest
is
Keisha
place,
pencil,
hi
Keisha.
Thank
you
for
joining
us.
I
mean
see
thanks
for
having
me
Keisha
is
a
group,
fitness
instructor,
personal
trainer,
and
she
is
in
charge
of
a
lot
of
our
running
groups
that
we
hold
here
at
Ames,
Parks
Recreation,
so
I
just
wanted
to
visit
with
you
about
the
running
group
opportunities
that
we
are
going
to
be
holding
over
the
next
year.
A
B
We
have
distances
anywhere
from
just
getting
started
for
the
5k
distance
and
we
also
have
some
distances:
training
for
a
half
marathon
at
different
programs
set
up
for
those,
so
5k,
10k,
half
marathon
we've
got
the
beginner.
We've
got
people
who
are
looking
to
take
it
a
little
bit
further
they're
already
ten
of
running
and
and
wanting
to
take
that
distance
a
little
bit
further.
So
we've
got.
A
B
Actually,
a
lot
of
benefits.
First
of
all,
you've
got
accountability,
yeah,
which
is
big
yeah.
It's
huge
for
a
lot
of
people,
especially
when
they're
just
getting
started
in
running
so
accountability
with
others,
even
if
they
show
up
you
know
and
and
one
of
their
running
partners
that
they've
been
running
with
for
a
while
is
missing.
You
know,
if
the
next
time
it's
hey,
where
were
you
right?
B
The
other
thing
is
I
have
a
lot
of
experience
with
a
variety
of
different
distances
and
races,
and
so
there's
the
component
of
them
asking
questions
or
getting
some
educational
components
along
with
it.
You
know
for
the
half
marathon
training
program
we
bring
in
a
variety
of
different
people
around
the
community
to
help
kind
of
promote
the
program,
but
also
give
them
a
little
bit
more
information
as
to
dress
shoe
fit.
We
have
the
personal
trainer
a
physical
therapist
come
in
and
talk
about
injury
prevention.
B
A
Yeah
so
this
fall,
we
are
offering
a
5k
training,
training,
5k
10k.
B
Bellefleur
not
that
one
that
one
is
in
preparation
for
run
for
the
roses
in
October:
okay,
it's
typically
about
a
six
to
seven
week;
training
class
gearing
people
up
for
that
beginner
5k
10k
distance,
so
that
one's
more
of
a
beginner
type
of
program
we
typically
gear
the
5k
program,
kind
of
a
run,
walk
program
so.
B
B
B
B
5K
training
program
for
gearing
up
for
a
damn.
Damn
in
the
past,
we've
offered
that
as
a
half
marathon
drying
program-
and
we
just
haven't-
had
enough
interest
that
we're
going
to
try
something
a
little
bit
different
and
see.
If
maybe
we
get
more
interest
with
a
5k
for
the
dam
to
be
returning.
There's.
B
B
B
B
B
Next
fall
in
2018
for
the
Des
Moines
half
marathon,
we're
going
to
offer
a
half
marathon
training
program
to
gear
them
up
for
that
distance.
So,
instead
of
doing
the
half
marathon
training
program
in
the
spring,
like
we've
offered
in
the
past,
we're
going
to
we're
going
to
kind
of
flip
flop
them
try
that
in
the
fall
and
see
if
they
don't
get
more
interest
for
people
who
have
been
running
throughout
the
summer
and
want
to
try
and
run
that
half
marathon
distance
at
the
doing
and.
B
A
B
So
typically,
what
we
do
is
we
meet
twice
a
week.
One
day
is
for
the
long.
The
long
run
right
that
we
have
each
week
and
then
the
second
day
is
a
longer
run,
but
it's
not
a
long
run
right
and
that
one
is
when
especially
with
the
half
marathon
training
program.
That's
typically
when
we
have
the
educational
sessions,
then,
after
that
that
shorter
distance
midweek
so
yeah
we
typically
meet
twice
a
week,
and
then
they
have
two
runs
that
they
would
need
to
be
able
to
do
either
on
their
own.
B
A
They
a
lot
of
them
continue
to
run
together
after
the
race
would
yeah
very
cool.
It's
awesome,
yeah,
so
very
good.
Well,
it's
a
great
opportunity
for
people
to
start
a
training
program
or
continue
reach
for
the
next
step
up
in
a
group
training
program.
So
if
you
are
interested
in
it
in
any
of
our
running
group,
training
programs,
you
would
be
working
with
Keesha
like
she
said
as
a
lot
of
experience,
so
I'm
really
fortunate
to
have
you
on
staff
and
get
people
inspired
in
the
running
group.
Training
program
sounds
great.
A
Oh
I
look
forward
to
it.
Yes,
we're
excited
about
it.
So
if
you
are
interested
and
would
like
more
information,
you
give
me
a
call
at
two
three,
nine
five,
three
five
Oh
or
check
out
our
programs
out
online
at
Ames,
Park,
frecks,
org
Keesha.
Thank
you
for
joining
us,
thanks
for
having
me
and
I'm
Nancy
Shaw
with
healthy
living,
and
remember
it's
never
too
late
to
get.
