From YouTube: This Week In Ames | Community Resource Officer
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
B
A
B
So
I'm
a
resource
to
the
community
connection
on
a
liaison
between
neighborhoods
student
organization,
student
groups,
various
community
groups
and
the
police
department.
So
I
do
a
lot
of
things
that
were
a
lot
of
different
hats,
have
a
very
versatile
role
within
the
police
department.
Basically
I'm.
The
catch-all,
if
you
come
with
a
question
for
the
police
department,
that
we
don't
have
a
specific
person
set
to
answer.
B
A
B
Do
a
lot
of
different
outreach
type
events
we
do
somewhere,
we
are
the
show
we
go,
do
a
talk.
We
also
do
some
where
we
just
are
there
to
interact
with
the
people
to
gain
trust,
to
build
relationships,
but
you
could
just
contact.
The
police
department
asked
for
the
community
resource
officer
and
they
would
get
you
through
to
me.
The
2395
133
is
an
hour.
Non-Emergency
number
and
I
can
set
you
up
with
either
myself
or
somebody
else
from
our
department
that
could
come
out
and
be
at
the
average
amount.
Now.
A
B
All
kinds
of
tips
for
you,
so
we
have
a
campaign.
If
you
haven't
heard
of
it,
it's
called
bike,
walk
drive,
smart.
We
have
a
website
with
a
lot
of
information.
We've
launched
several
videos,
we
have
campaign
materials,
there's
a
lot
of
information
out
there
on
this
program,
but
the
whole
program
revolves
around
respect.
B
It's
building
safety
within
the
community
through
respect
so
just
respect
your
fellow
traveler
treat
them
like
you
would
want
to
be
treated
no
matter
what
mode
of
transportation
you're
using
and
what
motor
transportation
they're
using
and
try
to
be
predictable,
and
hopefully
we
will
all
be
safe.
Doing
that.
But
city
of
Ames
that
org
backslash
bike,
walk
drive.
Smart
is
website
tons
of
information
on
that
website.
You
will
see
more
about
that.
Coming
out
soon.
B
We
have
an
international
residence
specific
web
page
on
the
website
that
will
be
launching
soon
to
give
information,
that's
more
specific
to
international
residents
about
how
to
get
a
driver's
license.
What
some
of
the
requirements
are
for
insurance
and
driver's
license
what
to
expect
when
getting
stopped,
because
a
lot
of
people
are
here
from
a
foreign
land
and
they
are
not
used
to
the
customs
even
from
other
states,
sometimes
they're
not
used
to
how
we
do
things
here,
especially
from
other
countries.
B
A
B
Quick
tips
is
designed
for
our
fast-paced
world
to
get
information
out
in
short
little
snippets,
so
the
videos
are
approximately
30
seconds
long.
We
have
a
timer
up
in
the
corner,
so
you
know
exactly
how
much
time
you're
invested
for
and
their
specific
to
one
topic.
So
we
put
out
information
on
one
topic
and
hopefully
get
as
much
viewership
as
possible
for
that
topic.
B
B
A
B
Isn't
one
we
do
a
variety
of
things
and
everything
is
different
as
much
as
the
world
around
us
changes
the
daily
life
of
an
officer
changes?
Because
of
that,
because
imagine
the
number
of
people
that
we
have
in
this
town,
all
of
the
changes
that
go
on
in
the
world
and
how
those
affect
people
differently.
The
possibilities
are
endless
of
the
things
that
we're
going
to
do
in
any
given
day.
B
But
everybody
starts
out
as
a
police
officer
starts
as
a
patrol
officer
you
doing
on
the
street
community
law
enforcement
relationship,
building
traffic
enforcement,
responding
to
calls
for
service
a
lot
of
them
nuisance
issues,
some
of
them.
You
know
higher
priority
crime
issues,
a
lot
of
different
things
to
do,
but
then,
with
beyond
that,
there
are
other
things
within
the
police
department.
You
can
do
special
assignments,
it's
a
it's,
a
big
enough
city
that
we're
busy
and
we
have
a
lot
of
things
to
do.
B
But
it's
a
small
enough
department
that
you
have
the
opportunity
to
do
a
lot
of
those
different
things,
so
I'm
an
instructor
in
several
different
things.
A
lot
of
our
officers
are
instructors
or
experts
in
a
variety
of
different
topics,
and
then
we
have
all
kinds
of
special
assignments:
school
resource
oxygen,
community
resource
officer,
detectives,
Drug,
Task,
Force,
a
lot
of
different
specialties
that
you
can
go
into
and
you
can
jump
from
one
to
another
throughout
your
career
and
hold
different
special
assignments
and
do
a
lot
of
different
things
for
the
community.
And
you.
A
B
A
B
A
A
bad
pic,
I
think
that's
a
fair
I.
Think
people
will
say:
that's
fair,
Villanova,
a
good
favorite
to
repeat.
Well,
our
thank
you
for
coming
on
the
show.
I
know
you
have
a
lot
of
things
on
your
plate
and
we
appreciate
the
time.
Thank
you.
