A
A
B
Home
and
golf
course
we
just
opened
up
and
as
long
as
mother
nature
cooperates
with
us,
we'll
be
open
for
the
remainder
of
the
season.
We
are
starting
to
get
really
busy
out
there.
The
the
weather
is
starting
to
get
nice
enough
that
the
golfers
want
to
come
out
we're
getting
to
the
point
now
where
tea
times
are
not
a
requirement,
but
it's
always
a
good
idea
to
have,
as
we
start
to
fill
up,
weekends
are
fantastic.
We've
had
some
gorgeous
ones.
B
B
B
A
B
Kind
of
exactly
what
you
mentioned,
it's
it's
almost
like
you're
in
nature,
it's
like
being
in
a
regular
park.
There
just
has
to
be
happens
to
be
a
golf
course
in
the
middle
of
it.
The
trees
are,
are
big
and
mature.
They
look
great
it's
one
of
the
only
golf
courses
in
town
where
you
have
that
that's
available
there.
I've
hit
almost
every
one
of
them,
so
I
could
tell
you
just
about
where
they're
all
at
so.
Yes,
it's
it's
a
wonderful
kind
of
atmosphere,
so
you're.
B
My
favorite
part
of
golfing
homewood
is
the
length
is
not
it's
not
really
long,
but
it's
still
so
very
challenging.
You
have
to
be
accurate.
It's
it's
almost
tougher
than
a
longer
course.
You
can't
make
mistakes
very
easily
and
for
us
a
hole
number
nine.
The
one
that
comes
over
the
ravine
as
you're
coming
back
is,
is
always
fun
because
you
dump
plenty
of
golf
balls
down
and
that
ravine
before
you
get
it
over.
B
Yep,
I
think
it's
now
three
four
years
old,
it's
kind
of
in
the
middle
of
our
parking
area
and
we'll
have
a
lot
of
people
that
just
stopped
by
don't
have
time
to
golf
that
day
go
out
there
and
they'll
pop
for
a
half
an
hour.
And
it's
been
a
great
addition
as
well.
A
B
We
have
monday
nights,
we
have
a
ladies
after
work
league
tuesday
nights
is
our
couples
league
wednesday
nights.
We
have
a
city
league
thursday
mornings.
We
have
a
more
of
like
a
retired
woman's
league
friday
mornings
are
our
junior
league,
so
we
just
about
every
day
of
the
week,
except
for
the
weekends.
We
we
have
a
league
going
on
out
there.
So.
B
Yup,
never
a
bad
idea
to
take
golf
lessons.
I
could
use
more
than
my
fair
share.
We
do
that
out
at
vancour.
We
use
the
driving
range
that
way,
you're
not
stuck
having
to
retrieve
your
golf
balls,
they're
taught
by
noel
shahidi.
She
does
a
great
job.
She
knows
enough
about
golf
that
she
can
get
the
beginners
and
kind
of
get
them
started
all
the
way
to
your
advanced
golfers.
She
does
a
really
good
job
with
them
and.
B
A
So
it
seems
like
golf
as
a
sport
is
sort
of
riding
a
wave,
particularly
in
iowa
after
our
big
masters,
our
hometown
boy
win.
Yes,.
B
After
zach
won
yep,
it's
and
we've
been
experienced
this
year
and
last
year,
probably
two
of
our
most
busy
years.
It's
been
fantastic
for
us.
We
love
it.
We
like
to
see
a
lot
of
people
out
there
enjoying
themselves
having
a
good
time.
We
love
to
talk
to
them
when
they
get
back
into
the
clubhouse
socialize
with
them.
So
it's
been.
It's
been
really
good
for
us
and.
A
You
do
run
specials
throughout
the
summer
different
ways
of
kind
of
hooking
people
to
come
in.
Is
it
parent
and
child
specials?
Yes,.
B
Yep
on
tuesdays,
we
have
a
parent
child
special
from
noon
to
three
o'clock.
It's
a
reduced
rate,
six
dollars
per
person,
great
way
to
get
mom
and
dad
or
grandma
and
and
and
grandson
out
there
bring
them
out
there
get
a
chance,
so
they
spend
some
family
time
together.
It's
also
sunday
evenings
from
four
till
close
is
the
same
thing:
the
parent
child
special
and
it's
and
a
lot
of
people
take
advantage
of
it.
B
We
we
typically
around
halloween
november
first,
sometimes
we'll
stay
open
longer.
If
again,
mother
nature
cooperates
with
us
the
last
few
years,
it's
been
november,
1st
2nd
3rd
right
around
there
when
we
close
up.
So
it's
a
long
season
and
some
of
the
best
golf
out
there
is
in
the
fall
as
those
mature
trees
start
to
turn
in
the
leaves.
It's
very
pretty
it's
it's
a
beautiful
sight
when
you're
out
there
golfing
it's
it's
a
lot
of
fun
in
the
fall.
There's
less
people
too!
It's
a
little
less
busy!
So.
A
B
Yes,
this
year
is
the
first
time
we've
offered
online
tee
times
or
mobile
tee
times
so
you're
able
to
if
you're
sitting
at
work
and
you're
looking
out
the
window,
and
you
see
how
beautiful
it
is,
and
you
want
to
sneak
on
hop
online.
You
can
go
to
our
website.
Aimsparksrec.Org
go
on
there
and
right
at
the
top.
There's
a
schedule
t
times
tab
you
get
on
that.
It'll
show
you
what's
available,
sign
up
for
it
and
you're
you're
ready
to
roll.
You
can
just
head
out
there
right
before
your
tea
time.
B
A
B
Oh
yeah
yep,
we,
you
can
get
a
soda
out
there.
Candy
bar
you
can
relax
a
lot
of
times.
If
you're
a
cribbage
player.
We
have
fierce
cribbage
battles
out
there,
especially
in
the
mornings.
The
guys
will
come
in
after
they're
around
and
they'll
play
cribbage
for
a
couple
hours.
There's
coffee
you
can
enjoy
yourself
enjoy
the
company.
So
it's.
B
Definitely
it's
it's
a
family
environment
out
there.
Everybody
for
the
most
part
knows
everyone
else,
it's
it's
great
when
they
walk
in
and
they're
joking
around
with
each
other
before
they
go
out
there
and
play
it's.
It's
definitely
a
family
environment.
A
Well,
if
you
want
to
learn
more
about
the
homewood
golf
tee
times,
you
can
get
on
amesparkrec.org
or
you
can
get
to
that
same
location
through
our
own
website
at
city
of
ames,
dot,
org
go
to
the
department
of
parks
and
recreation.
Also
remember:
if
you're
a
swimmer
we
have
discounted
passes
to
the
furman
aquatic
center,
those
discounts
will
be
in
place
until
may
15th,
so
you'll
want
to
get
those
swim
passes
purchased
fairly
soon.
Well,
that's
our
show
for
today,
thanks
for
watching
and
tune
in
next
week
for
this
week
in
ames,.
