We
have
a
large
pickleball,
very
passionate
pickleball
community
here,
and
they
contacted
us
and
wanted
us
to
help
promote
their
activity,
get
more
people
involved
in
the
community,
so
we
actually
had
them
out
with
our
healthy
streets
events
or
open
streets
event
on
Sunday
and
they've
invited
other
people
to
just
show
up
and
play
with
them
whenever
they
play
itís
grove
and
learn
the
game.
So.
A
B
Kind
of
a
mix
of
tennis,
badminton
racquet
ball,
it's
played
with
a
paddle
like
you
would
ping
pong
almost
a
little
bit
bigger
and
then
a
bigger
wiffle
ball
and
played
with
a
short
tennis
court
for
people
and
it's
I
know
it's
a
lot.
It's
geared
more
towards
the
older
adults.
It's
supposed
to
be
easier
on
your
joints,
better
paced
game
for
them.
So
that's
the
majority
of
our
community
right
now
that
plays
is
the
older
adults,
but
trying
to
get
some
of
the
younger
groups
injure
and
trying
it
out.
Well,.
A
B
A
B
A
B
B
Can
register
as
a
team?
Don't
we
take
team
registrations,
but
we
also
do
have
a
sports
player
pool
where
anyone
that
is
either
new
to
town
or
wants
to
play,
but
don't
have
a
team.
They
can
put
their
name
on
this
player
pool
list
and
then
I
actually
email
those
out
to
the
managers
frequently
throughout
the
season
to
try
to
get
them
on
board
as
a
sub.
Sometimes
it's
a
one-time
thing.
B
A
B
B
Quite
yet
we
are
hoping
to
be
there
midsummer
late
fall,
but
just
with
some
weather
issues
and
other
issues,
we've
we've
ran
into
trying
to
finish
up
some
other
projects
to
before
we
we
jump
all
the
way
into
that.
So
we'll
finish
up
at
gateway
will
utilize
Brookside,
Park
and
car
park
as
well.
For
those
leagues,
excellent
yeah.
B
Have
golf
lessons
there
anywhere
from
adults:
we
have
parent-child
our
junior
golf.
Lessons
will
start
in
the
beginning
of
June,
so
for
an
adult
you
have
to
be
15
or
older
to
participate
in
any
of
those
leagues
and
all
the
lessons
are
taught
by
PG
a
professional
noel
shaheedi.
So
she
does
a
really
good
job
with
that
we've
partnered
with
her
for
four
years
for
those
programs.
So
we
have
our
next
session
actually
starting
next
week.
Next
Monday
for
parent
child
and
the
adult
and
then
like
I,
said,
youth
will
start
in
june.
So
well.
A
B
Pretty
well
for
that,
those
all
go:
go
pretty
strong
again,
where
you
partner,
with
Ames,
racquet
and
fitness,
for
those
to
offer
lessons
for
kids,
six
through
or
six
years
old,
through
about
12
or
14,
and
there's
parent-child
lessons
offered
there's
tons
of
different
levels
there
as
well,
and
this
winter
we
actually
added
and
spring.
We
added
some
more
fall
or
indoor
lessons
as
well,
and
those
were
full
I
mean
we.
We
had
people
sign
up
for
those
right
away
and
all
those
Rams.
So
we
have
a
pretty
strong
tennis
community
here
is
yeah.
A
B
We
are
live,
healthy
kids
track
championship
is
actually
going
to
be
next
Wednesday
May,
eleventh,
we
partner
with
live
healthy
Iowa.
To
run
that
event,
a
lot
of
people
know
it
formally
as
a
Hershey
track.
Meet
last
year
was
the
last
year
was
the
first
year
that
it
became
a
live,
healthy
Iowa
meet
and
it's
a
free
event
for
kids
as
ages
7
through
14.
B
They
added
the
seven
and
eight-year-old
bracket
this
year,
so
we're
kind
of
excited
to
see
how
many
more
registrations
we
get
there,
but
we
usually
get
about
75
to
100
participants
in
that,
and
they
can
do
up
to
three
events.
There's
a
softball,
throw
standing,
long
jump
and
then
various
running.
How
do
you,
sir?
You,
can
find
our
form
online
@
WR,
correct
org
into
the
community
center
as
well,
and
then
you
can
just
mail
off
the
mail
off
and
drop
off
there
as
well
great.
A
If
you
want
more
information
about
any
of
those
events,
make
sure
to
check
our
website,
you
can
go
to
city
of
ames,
org
or,
as
katie
said,
Ames
park,
rec
org
and
get
information
on
registering
for
any
of
those
upcoming
classes,
events
and
leagues,
some
other
things
for
your
calendars.
You,
as
we
get
into
the
month
of
may
remember:
Saturday
May,
fourteenth
is
yard
waste
free
day
that
usually
happens
in
April
this
year.
A
It's
in
May
so
get
those
details,
8am
to
4pm,
Saturday,
May,
fourteenth
again
more
information
on
our
website
and
finally,
don't
forget:
may
is
the
month
that
ferment
aquatic
center
opens
will
be
opening
the
pool
on
Saturday,
May,
28,
so
I
hope
to
see
you
there.
Well,
that's
our
show
for
today,
thanks
for
watching
and
tune
in
next
week
for
this
week
in
Ames.
