Description
6 p.m. Wednesday April 26th at the Ames City Auditorium
A
B
B
Sure
I
was
a
theater
major
in
college,
so
I
did
a
lot
of
technical
theatre,
but
I
also
did
some
performing
as
well
and
then
after
college
I
worked
at
the
Des
Moines
playhouse
for
several
years
as
a
theater
technician
and
designer
and
then
moved
away
how
to
stay
to
New
York
spent
some
time
in
New
York
as
a
theater
technician
and
a
Navy
engineer
and
then
chicago
then
back
in
New
York,
so
just
had
spent
the
last
10
to
12
years
strictly
doing
audio
visual
and
theatre
work.
So.
A
B
Right
now
we're
getting
ready
to
start
up
parks
and
recreations
get
ready
to
start
up
a
lot
of
our
summer
programming.
So
we
kind
of
wind
down
a
little
bit
in
the
community
center,
which
is
actually
good
because
we
are
doing
some
renovations
to
the
air
conditioning
in
there.
So
we've
got
a
lot
of
open
gym
the
weight
room
and
fitness
room
will
always
be
open
for
people
to
work
out
and
then
by
mid-summer.
B
In
the
way
round,
well
we
have
a
few
different
things
that
we
have
drop
in
activities
which
would
be
like
our
open
gyms.
We
have
a
program
called
play
PAL,
so
we
do.
We
have
open,
badminton,
open,
pickleball,
those
you
just
come.
You
pay
a
drop
in
fee
at
the
front
desk
when
you
arrive
and
then
you're
free
to
play
with
whoever's
there.
We
do
have
some
adult
programs
that
happen
there
that
are
arranged
through
our
our
recreation
manager.
B
Things
like
adult
volleyball.
We
have
some
basketball
that
happens,
and
then
we
also
have
fitness
programs
and
all
of
our
fitness
is
taken
care
of
by
the
city.
Wellness
man,
wellness,
coordinator,
wellness,
coordinator,
Nancy,
Shaw,
I,
always
forget,
and
we
do
things
like
Zumba,
but
she
also
coordinates
all
the
weight
room
and
all
the
cardio
activities
and
to
use
the
weight
room,
Accardi
room.
Everybody
does
have
to
go
through
an
orientation
process.
B
They
come,
they
do
the
orientation,
then
you
can
buy
swipe
passes
for
the
weight,
room
and
cardio
room
and
use
them
sort
of
at
your
own
convenience.
And
the
nice
thing
is
the
passes,
never
expire.
So
if
you
buy
a
hundred
punches
today
and
five
years
from
now,
you
still
have
99
punches
left
and
decide
you
want
to
come
back,
you
can
always
come
back
and
start
up
anytime
deliver.
A
B
Oh,
we
have
lots
of
things
that
happen
in
the
summer.
Out
of
the
bandshell
municipal
band
concerts
are
something
that's
very
popular.
You
know
that
have
been
there
for
a
very
long
time.
Those
are
thursday
nights
all
through
june
and
july.
We
also
have
aims
on
the
half
shell,
which
is
a
program
that
aims
JCS
do
as
a
fundraiser
and
that
takes
place
every
friday
night
in
june
this
year.
I
believe,
there's
five
total
shows,
and
then
we,
you
know
we
have
a
whole
wide
range
of
other
things
that
happen
out
there.
B
A
B
Now
we
are
actually
in
auditorium
now.
As
most
people
know,
this
used
to
be
aims:
high
school
and
when
the
city
took
it
over,
they
decided
to
keep
the
auditorium
portion
and
for
its
time
it
was
built
in
the
30s.
It's
actually
a
very
nice
sized
auditorium.
It
holds
880
people.
It's
not
really
that
deep,
which
is
one
of
the
things
one
of
the
problems
that
you
usually
run
into
with
larger
auditoriums.
Is
that
they're
very
deep
and
narrow?
B
And
from
the
back
it's
hard
to
hear
so
acoustically,
it's
very,
very
good,
but
it's
just
kind
of
a
neat,
unique
theater.
It's
a
really
great
size.
It's
not
a
size
that
exists
anywhere
else
around
this
area.
You
know
you
have
hoyt
sherman,
which
is
a
bigger.
You
have
the
Fisher
theater,
which
is
smaller
Stevens,
which
is
way
bigger,
so
it
does
feel
a
nice
niche
for
certain
types
of
activities
and
events.
It's
physical
location,
we're
part
of
city
hall
right.
Yes,
we
are
adjoining
City
Hall.
B
Competition
yeah,
we
just
got
finished
with
one
of
our
larger
dance
groups,
which
is
a
hip-hop
club
from
Iowa
State
head
has
two
concerts
a
year
here,
we're
gearing
up
for
dance
recital
season.
We
actually
have
our
aims:
Park
and
Recreation
dance
recital
this
Sunday.
We
have
a
concert
in
here
tonight
sponsored
by
the
Greenlee
school
journalism
from
Iowa
State,
and
then
we
also
have
a
free
concert.
Next
week
the
Air
Force
shades
of
blue
Jazz
Ensemble
will
be
coming
here
and
presenting
a
free
concert
as
part
of
their
their
spring
and
summer
tour.
B
B
Cost
whatsoever
what
you
do
want
people
to
convict.
Do
you
want
people
to
contact
us
so
the
way
that
you
get
on
the
reservation
list
is
by
either
contacting
myself
at
the
community
center
by
calling
us
calling
me
at
51,
52,
395
365,
and
just
telling
me
your
name,
how
many
tickets
you
need
and
leaving
a
phone
number.
So
we
have
a
contact
information
in
case
something
happens
and
we
have
to
contact
you
or
by
sending
me
an
email
and
my
email
is
just
see
Kaufman
at
City,
ames,
IA,
us
kind
of
a
mouthful.
B
But
again
just
send
me
your
name,
the
number
of
tickets
that
you
need
and
your
phone
number
just.
So
we
have
an
emergency
contact
and
then,
when
you
get
here,
the
auditorium
lobby
will
open
about
5
15
for
the
6
p.m.
concert.
There'll
be
people
at
the
at
a
table
in
the
in
the
lobby
and
they'll
check
you
in
off
the
reservation
list,
and
anybody
that
doesn't
have
a
reservation
will
have
to
wait
in
line
so
that
we
can
sort
of.
We
were
trying
to
also
track.
B
You
know
the
some
of
the
activities
that
would
come
here
and
you
know
how
many
people
come,
and
you
know,
learn
a
few
things
about
what
other
things
people
want
to
see
here.
So
people
who
aren't
on
the
reservation
list
will
have
to
check
in
as
well,
and
we
might
ask
them
a
question
or
two
as
they
come
in,
but
yeah
we're
looking
forward
to
seeing
a
whole
bunch
of
people
here.
B
Tickets
are
all
this
eating
is
general
mission.
So
when
you
call
you
get
on
a
reservation
list
and
the
people
who
will
be
the
ushers
that
are
working,
the
event
will
have
that
list.
Its
first
come
first
serve
seating.
We
are
making
some
special
accommodations
for
people
who
contact
us
saying
they
have
special
needs.
So
if
you
have
somebody
that's
in
a
wheelchair
somebody,
maybe
that
has
limited
sight
or
hearing
you
know.
That's
something
good,
also
to
include
saying:
hey.
B
A
Thank
you
very
much
for
coming
on
the
show,
thank
you
and
if
you
would
like
to
keep
up
to
date
with
all
the
events
happening
here
at
the
auditorium
or
anywhere
in
parks
and
recreation,
be
sure
to
follow
them
on
facebook
and
it's
the
municipal
band,
conflicts
or
particular
favorite
of
yours.
If
you
can't
make
it
out
on
thursday
night,
be
sure
to
follow
us
on
youtube
and
you
can
check
out
all
the
concerts
on
there.
We
even
have
concerts
from
years
past.
