Description
CyRide is holding four different meetings on March 1-2, 2017 to discuss transit alternative developed over the past several months. Come meet with us, view the alternatives and provide us feedback and/or respond to our online survey at www.cyride.com.
A
B
I'm
currently
the
assistant
director
of
operations,
so
I'm
responsible
for
the
operations
side
of
the
house,
all
the
buses
on
route,
the
drivers,
I
kind
of
started
after
I
graduated
from
is
you
started
in
thyroid
in
the
hiring
department,
so
hiring
and
training
drivers
and
kind
of
moved
up
supervisory
and
now
I'm
the
assistant
director.
So
do
you
drive
a
thyroid
bus
or
do
you
know
how
to
I?
Do
both
I
do
know
how
to
drive?
B
B
A
I
right,
it's
just
all
over
aims,
and
particularly
for
the
students.
It's
a
really
helpful
transportation
mode,
but
it's
not
just
students
that
writes
I
right
and
there's
been
a
lot
of
increase
in
use
in
Sai
right
over
the
years.
Tell
me
a
little
bit
about
cydroids
history.
Why
we
are
where
we
are
today
thyroid.
B
Has
grown
a
lot
over
the
last
decade,
we've
grown
from
a
kind
of
small
transit
company
when
I
started
a
little
under
2
million
passengers
to
over
seven
million.
At
this
point,
we
have
grown
a
lot,
but
we
haven't
really
increased
our
route
structure
or
change
the
way
in
which
we
operate.
So
we
are
currently
looking
at
opportunities
to
maybe
make
some
changes
and
figure
out
a
more
if
there
is
a
more
efficient
or
effective
way
to
deliver
service
to
the
aims
community.
So.
A
B
B
The
board
then
decided,
because
we're
governed
by
a
board
then
decided
that
they
would
like
to
go
out
for
what
they're
calling
the
system
redesigned
to
figure
out.
If
we
are
the
most
efficient
and
effective
as
we
can
be,
we
hired
a
firm
called
Nelson
Nygaard
that
is
working
with
us
on
developing
some
scenarios
that
we
would
like
to
bring
to
the
public
to
get
their
input
as
to
what
they
think
might
be
best
for
sy
right
in
the
future,
and
that's.
A
B
A
B
B
So
what
we
did
is
like
I
said:
Nelson
Nygaard
went
out
to
the
community
in
the
fall.
They
gathered
kind
of
initial
thoughts
from
community
members,
as
well
as
the
University
looked
at
a
lot
of
our
data,
and
then
they
came
back
after
they
analyze
that
and
they've.
Now,
given
us
these
two
scenarios
that
they
think
would
help
benefit
the
community
as
well
as
Iowa
State
University.
Both
scenarios
kind
of
illustrate
different
options.
B
I
guess
is
probably
the
best
way
to
say
it,
but
the
ultimate
goal
is
really
to
look
at
the
two
scenarios:
they've
come
up
with
and
maybe
come
up
with
a
combination
or
an
iteration
of
those
scenarios
so
that
they
can
go
back
and
make
a
final
recommendation
to
Lord.
So
what
we're
asking
the
public
to
do
is
come
out
because
and
I
can
go
through
a
little
bit
of
serious,
but
they
are
really
detail-oriented
and.
B
But
the
tunes
cynare
I
should
probably
also
mention
one
caveat.
We
did
give
them
just
so.
Everybody
understands
as
they're.
Looking
for
the
scenario
when
they
did
this
study
is,
it
does
need
to
be
financially
constrained,
so
they're
likely
won't
be
large
service
increases
that
there
wasn't
funding
to
match
those.
So
both
scenario
scenario
1,
I'm
kind
of
explaining,
as
kind
of
similar
to
our
current
system,
with
some
modifications
and
maybe
route
deviations
or
changes
in
scenario.
B
Two
is
probably
the
most
significant
change
it
from
our
current
system
and
it
has
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
different
ways
of
looking
at
transit
than
probably
what
we
have
in
this
community
and
we're
calling
at
the
transformative
scenario,
but
back
to
what
you
said.
As
far
as
public
meetings
there's
a
lot
of
opportunities
for
people
to
give
us
input,
and
we
really
do
want
the
input.
So
we
can
give
the
best
recommendation
and
do
what's
best
for
the
community.
We
have
pop-up
meetings,
we
have
public
meetings,
we
have
online
surveys,
they
start
well.
B
The
online
survey
at
cyride,
calm
is
going
on.
Right
now
goes
to
March
fifteenth.
We
have
our
first
pop-up
meeting
March.
First,
we
have
pop-up
meetings
and
public
meetings
that
day
and
we
also
have
additional
meeting
on
March.
Second,
where
you
can
meet
with
the
consultant.
Look
at
the
scenarios,
give
them
feedback
positively
and
negatively
about
what
you
like
what
you
dislike
things
you'd
like
to
see.
B
Maybe
you
do
ride
the
bus
now
and
you
something's
very
important
to
you,
or
maybe
you
don't
ride
the
bus
now,
and
this
is
why,
and
if
we
looked
at
something
differently,
that
might
be
an
opportunity
for
you
to
ride
the
bus.
So
that's
really.
It's
really
meant
to
gather
as
much
input
as
we
can,
so
that
the
board
is
able
to
make
a
decision
and
feel
like
they
have
the
best
information
to
affect
the
community.
So.
A
Information
on
those
pop-up
meetings
is
available
at
sai
right,
calm,
also,
a
link
to
the
survey.
If
you
can't
attend
the
meeting,
you
just
want
to
fill
out
the
survey
also
at
sitecom
correct
so,
and
we
also
have
links
off
our
website
city
org,
so
a
lot
of
information,
a
lot
of
ways
to
get
involved
just
quickly
barb.
Why
should
somebody
participate
well.
B
I
think
this
is
an
opportunity
for
you
to
be
hurt
either,
why
you
use
the
system
or
why
you
don't
use
a
system
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we
all
pay
taxes.
We
are
all
in
this
together
and
sorry
is
a
great
community
resource
and
I
think
it's
well
utilized,
but
I'd
love
to
see
it
continue
to
grow
and
be
more
well
utilized
and
be
able
to
serve
the
whole
entire
community.
Great.
A
Well,
thanks
for
coming
I
know
you're
busy.
It
was
great
to
you
for
you
to
share
this
information
again
if
you
would
like
to
get
more
involved
and
share
your
thoughts
about
cyride
how
to
make
it
better
remember
to
go
to
Cybercom
for
information
on
the
scenarios,
as
well
as
a
link
to
the
survey
that
information
will
be
repeated
on
city
of
ames
org.
So
there's
no
reason
to
not
share
your
voice,
some
other
things
to
think
about.
As
we
get
into
March.
Remember,
the
eco
fair
is
Saturday
March
25th.
