From YouTube: Where's Brian? | Bookmobile
Description
On this episode we’re working with a department that is mobile and stationary. They bring the world of ideas closer to you. Do you know where I am today?
A
Brian
phillips,
on
most
days,
I
work
in
an
office
for
the
aim
city
manager,
since
starting
here,
I've
learned
a
lot
about
the
different
job
city.
Employees
have
many
of
them.
You
might
see
every
day,
others
work
behind
the
scenes
to
provide
quality
programs
and
exceptional
service
to
the
community,
and
that's
why
I'm
here
to
experience
the
different
jobs
the
city
of
Ames
has
to
offer.
A
The
bookmobile
is
the
mobile
branch
of
the
Ames
public
library.
The
outside
wrap
was
designed
by
author
illustrator
Derek
Anderson,
and
aims
native
and
features
characters
from
some
of
his
books.
The
inside
features
books,
music
and
dvds
for
adults
and
children.
Today,
we'll
see
how
library
staff
prepares
the
bookmobile
to
get
around
town
good
afternoon,
I
want.
C
This
is
our
brand-new
bookmobile.
We
got
it
in
in
just
in
the
winter
of
last
year,
so
a
key
of
December
twentieth
and
we
had
a
big
party
to
celebrate
it,
which
is
neat
because
that
was
actually
our
50th
year
of
bookmobile
service
at
the
U.
So
if
library
or
brand
new,
it's
our
fourth
generation
bookmobile,
so
it's
it's
pretty
special.
So.
C
Try
to
serve
everybody
in
the
city,
and
so
we
know
that
some
people
have
transportation
issues
or
as
just
significantly
easier
for
them
to
use
a
bookmobile
as
kind
of
a
mogul
branch
then
coming
to
the
main
library
building,
and
so
it
allows
us.
We
do
go
to
a
lot
of
elementary
schools.
We
go
to
a
couple.
We
go
to
a
grocery
store,
and
so
it
left
people
to
use
the
library
where
they
are.
It's
necessarily
committee,
where
we
are
so.
A
C
C
We
have
a
collection
of
between
2500
and
3000
items
right
about,
and
so
we
try
to
pick
the
best
stuff
alpha
out
of
the
library,
because
there's
so
much
to
choose
from
them.
We
want
to
have
a
cross
section
of
things
for
two
people
of
different
interests
and
people
of
different
ages
and
then
really
be
a
browsable
collection
and.
C
One
of
the
best
things
about
the
bookmobile
is
that
we
we
do
love
to
bring
things
out,
and
so
you
could
go
online
and
put
a
bunch
of
things
on
reserve
sure
come
to
your
local
book
and
they'll
stop
pick
them
up
and
take
them
home
with
you
without
having
to
come
into
the
main
library.
That's
that's!
It.
C
Today
we
are
going
to
have
you
selecting
materials
for
the
bookmobile,
which
is
a
daunting
job
when
you're
looking
at
a
collection
of
about
225,000
and
you
can
fit
at
most
three
thousand
on
the
bus
and
then
we're
actually
going
to
have
you
go
out
to
the
stop
and
set
up
so
get
ready
for
service.
Okay,.
A
D
A
B

B
D
All
of
our
juvenile
series
that
are
popular
with
the
kids
so
but
we
do
need
some
juvenile
nonfiction.
Some
of
the
topics
that
we
want
to
pick
up
on
today
are
I'm
going
to
let
you
hold
on
to
that.
This
is
the
list
I
actually
filled
out
last
night
that
I've
been
working
from
today
we
need
some
juvenile
nonfiction
and
I
wrote
down
a
few
of
the
topics
that
I
noticed.
We
don't
have
covered
with
the
books
that
are
already
on
the
bookmobile
398
point2.
That's
fairy
tales
well.

D
Brian,
what
I'm
going
to
do
is
we
get
our
computers
all
set
up
and
ready
to
go?
We
have
one
in
the
front
that
we
use
for
checking
and
we
have
one
in
the
back.
We
use
for
checkout
keep
those
separated.
We
also
have
a
monitor
back
here
that
we
can
display
information
on
for
activities
that
are
going
on
I'm
just
going
to
plug
this
thumb.
Drive
in
back
here
we
have
a
different
one
for
each
day
of
the
week
ago,
keeps
everything
up
to
date.
Turn
on
our
monitor.
