and

this

committee
meeting
a
couple
weeks
ago.
It
is
changing
the
area
that
we
know
kind
of
now
as
where
jackie

tap
room
is
plus
the
other
places
along
there

go

industrial
industrial
also
matches
the
zone,
that's
behind
them,
and
it
would
expand
one
of
the
most
rare
zones
that
we
have
in
the
city
to
manufacturing,
which
is
something
to
help
diversify
our
economy
from
just
service
and
education
also
into
manufacturing.

just
like
to
say
that
I
think
this
seems
like
a
very
wise
move,
because,
with
the
declining
enrollment
of
ohio
university,
we
really
have
to
diversify
our
local
economy,
and
if
our
current
manufacturing
businesses
will
expand
and
create
more
jobs
or
if
we
can
get
another
manufacturing
company
to
come
here
to
create
more
jobs,
that
would
be
really
really
helpful
for
our
economy.

funding

I
would
ask
is
if
administration

make
sure
other
social
service
agencies

area

just
money
that

put

our
bank
account
and

go
out

these

two
programs-

utilities
programs
specifically
tonight
being

that

helping

citizens.

we
would
really
appreciate
getting
the
word
out

letting
people
know
about
the
program

that
we
can
get
this
aid
to
people
who
need
it.

suspend

get

program
out

quickly
as
possible

point
on
what
councilmember
katzis
was
saying

know
we're
currently
looking
at
over
470
households
that
are
in
need
of
some
level
of
relief
because
that
they
are
behind
in
their
utility
bill
payment
due
to
covet
19..

So
there's
there's
great
need
in
our
city.
Much
like
there
is
across
the
state
and
across
the
nation
for
that
matter,
but
this
is
something
that
we
can
certainly
do
to
be
of
help,
and
I'm
hoping
that,
if
this,
depending
on
how
successful
this
is
of
possibly
doing
a
second
round
of
this,
in
particular,
this
being
utility
relief.

think
this
is
a
wonderful
idea,
I'm
so
glad
that
the
city
is
offering
to
share
the
cares
funding
with
people
who
really
need
help
and
then-
and
it's
so
sad
to
learn
that
470
people
are
behind
in
their
utility
payments
and
they
must
be
suffering
right
now.
But
I'm
just
wondering
at
this
point:
do
we
know
how
long
this
will
last
this
do
people
have
to
apply
immediately?

long
as
the
money
is
in
place,
then
people
can
continue
to
to
apply
for
this
through
hapcap
habcap
will
be,
and
this
will
come
out
with
sam
brings
us
up
during
your
regular
session,
but
they
would
apply
through
hapcap

get
this
rent
or
not
rent.

they
went
to
the
utility
grant
program,
relief.

how
long
this
program
will

The
last
line
in
the
document

our
shared
drive
says
the
program
will
operate
until
all
funds
are
obligated

date
is
in
there
for,

folks
to
reference.

so,
although
this
will
be
a
necessity
at
any
landfill
per
epa
regulations,
it
is
a
dangerous
gas
and
we
do
need
to
know
what's
happening,
but
hopefully
going
forward
in
the
future.
We
will
have
fewer
methane
emissions
at
the
landfill
that
we
are
now
using
any
questions
about
those
appropriations.

final
piece
of
the
finance
and
personnel
committee
tonight
is
an
item
on
general
property
tax
and
city
council
regularly
has
to
approve
the
millage
for
certain
portions
of
well,
I'm
gonna
bumble

we

Besides
the
arts,
west
communications
that
we've
gotten,
I
also
had
a
couple
of
people
just
randomly
communicate
with
me
about
light
pollution
and
some
of
those
issues,
and
I
would
like
to
point
out
that
we
are
a
you
know:
dark
sky,
friendly
city
and
that
light
pollution
really
is
an
issue
and
the
people
be
very
think
about
it,
and
especially
if
you're
business
and
you're
looking
at
new
lights,
or
something
to
look
at
our
ordinances
that
we
have
about
this.
So
thank

there

not
a
whole
lot
of
foot
traffic
in
that
area
at
the
moment,

it
is
open.
The
lights
are
active
inside
there.

council

you
have

chance

attractive
and

look
nice.
The
rest
of
the
project
will

completed

end
of
this

I

remind
people
to
fill
out
their
census
forms
or
answer
the
call
or
the
door.
I
know
a
lot
of
people
are
out
going
door
to
door
trying
to
find
the
last
people
that
we
need
to
uncover
so
that
we
can
fulfill
the
desires
and
destiny
of
athens
into
the
future
so
fill
out.

forms.

We're
particularly
low
in
the
student
areas,
the
off-campus
student
period,
so
if
you
know
any
students
residing
in
those
areas
or
if
there's
students
listening
tonight,
perhaps
we've
got
until
september
30th
and
it
means
about
twelve
hundred
dollars
per
free
in
program
funds
for
every
person
who
completes
that
census.
So
it's
extremely
important
for
our
programming
dollars
and
our
representation
council
member
claude
felder.

thing

everybody
has

deadline

register

vote

this
very
important
election
is
october
5th.

tonight

www.vote.org,
or
there
is
a
form
you
can
fill
out

athens
county
board

elections
website
as
well
as
in
the
office.
We
really
need
everybody
voting
this
year
and
also
I
don't
know
how
widely

word

been
shared
yet,
but
the
athens
county
board
of
elections
would
really
appreciate
it.
If
some
more
republicans
would
be
willing
to
be
poll
workers
this
year.

Plenty
of
democrats
have
offered
to
do
that,
but
there's
a
shortage
of
republicans
right
now
and
we
can't
open
a
poll
unless
there
is
at
least
one
democrat
and
one
republican
there.
So
people
who
republicans
who
might
be
interested
in
doing
that,
can
call
the
board
of
election
and
ask
to
speak
with
chantel
chantelle
at
the
athens
county
board
of
elections.

the
environment:
sustainability
commission
has
two
members
whose
terms
are
expiring
at
the
end
of
september.
They
both
have
been
very
valued
members
of
the
commission,
and
I
would
like

recommend
to
council
that
they
be
re-appointed.

to

reappointed
if
approved
by
council.

members
are
stefan
gleissberg,
who
has
been
on
the
commission
for
many
years
and
a
really
more
new
member
who
took
over
for
a
member
who
left
left
the
city
of
athens
austin
barbaro.

I
would
like

propose
that
the
council
reappoint
austin
babrow
and
stephen
gleissberg
to
the
environment
and
sustainability
commission.
