Description
Planning Commission January 16, 2020
A
Like
to
call
toreador
a
meeting
of
the
Planning
Commission,
it's
Thursday
January
16th,
it's
12
o'clock
p.m.
it's
actually
12:08
p.m.
and
a
disposition
and
established
the
quorum.
We
have
four
people
here,
one
missing
and,
secondly,
will
approach
the
minutes,
January
2nd
meeting
minutes.
It
was
a
wonderful
meeting.
I
recover,
but
II
have
a
motion,
Corrections
or
additions.
I.
A
C
There's
a
memo
attached
dated
January
7
2020
written
by
our
code,
director,
David
David
Griggs,
there's
a
lot
in
the
planes,
my
understanding
of
the
situation,
I'm,
not
sure
if
it's
mentioned
on
this,
but
the
the
property
owners.
Essentially,
they
are
trying
to
correct
an
error.
There's
a
D
there's
a
driveway
portion
of
a
driveway
on
one
parcel
that
they
want
to
move
to
get
it
in
line
with
it.
B
Motion
I
make
a
motion
to
approve
the
lot
split
with
the
conditions
that
the
surveyor
correct.
The
the
two
errors
noted
that
the
staff
identified
the
incorrect
County,
as
well
as
the
where
the
land
hook
is
not
correctly
connecting
lot.
Six
four
six
versus
lot:
six,
four
five,
but
otherwise
I
make
a
motion
to
accept
the
variances
to
accept
I,
suppose
the
variances
in.
A
B
A
C
A
few
things
this
afternoon
and
I
will
keep
it
very
brief,
but
the
Planning
Commission
should
be
aware
that
an
annexation
request
may
be
coming
to
them
in
the
next
sixty
days.
There's
an
annexation
application
moving
through
the
county
right
now
at
the
on
682
across
the
street,
from
University
estates
on
real
estate.
That's
typically
called
the
hope
farm.
There's
a
applicant
looking
to
develop
a
workforce
housing
group
out
of
Columbus
called
woda,
which
has
done
projects
in
this
area.
In
the
past.
C
They
are
petitioning
through
the
county
right
now
and
working
through
an
agreement
with
Lea
ax
Water
District,
hoping
to
bring
that
forward
to
they
to
the
ones
that
go
through
the
county,
bring
it
to
the
city
later
this
year,
the
Planning
Commission's
responsibility
would
be
to
desert,
recommend
a
zoning
designation
for
that
real
estate.
I
believe
the
applicant
will
be
asking
for
a
portion
of
it
to
be
zoned
r3
and
then
the
remaining
portion
to
be
zoned
as
general
business.
So
it's
just
just
for
your
awareness
on
that.
More.
B
A
C
Just
two
other
items:
the
first
thing
is
that
I
do
expect.
If
all
goes
as
a
plan,
I
will
have
draft
copies
of
the
comprehensive
plan
for
the
Planning
Commission
at
our
next
regular
meeting.
I
believe
that
will
be
the
first
meeting
in
February
and,
as
so
all
are
aware,
we
are
having
next
Thursday
evening
from
6
to
8
p.m.
January
23rd
at
the
community
center.
There
is
going
to
be
an
open
house
with
respect
to
discussing
again
a
permanent
location
for
the
Farmers
Market.
C
Of
course,
we're
aware
of
parking
and
traffic
flow
issues
that
would
need
to
be
addressed,
but
we
are
having
an
open
house
next
Thursday
to
discuss
that
in
more
detail
and
get
public
feedback
on
both
locations.
The
dog
park
area,
as
well
as
the
solar
panels
area.
It's
an
open
house.
You
can
come
for
five
minutes.
You
can
stick
around
for
two
hours,
your
choice,
but
pretty.
