Description
Athens Recreation Advisory Board - October 20, 2022
A
Hello
today
is
October
20th
I
want
to
welcome
everyone
to
the
recreation
Advisory
board
for
the
city
of
Athens.
My
name
is
Andrea
Lewis
I
am
one
of
the
recreation
Advisory
board
members
I'm
here
with
Rebecca
Dillon.
We
do
not
have
a
quorum
tonight.
So
tonight
is
an
informational
meeting.
Only
I
want
to
turn
it
over
to
Catherine
Ann
Jordan,
our
director
of
Athens
Parks
and
Recreation.
B
I
changed
the
layout
of
my
updates
that
I
typically
hand
out
to
kind
of
put
the
what
I
need
assistance
with
with
like
advice
about
discussions
about
at
the
top
of
the
updates.
So
the
up
actual
kind
of
departmental
updates
and
the
operational
updates
are
at
the
back
now,
instead
of
at
the
front.
So
I
think
that
would
be
where
my
hope
is
is
for
for
moving
forward
with
this
board.
B
One
of
the
things
right
now
that
we're
doing
is
working
on
the
budget
2023
for
2023,
and
it's
in
you
know
it's
in
my
court
right
now.
As
far
as
trying
to
figure
out
what
it
is
that
we
would
like
to
do
as
a
department
and
then,
of
course
it
goes
on
to
the
service
safety
director
and
then
the
auditor
and
then
city
council.
B
So
it's
a
process,
but
either
way
one
of
the
things
that
I've
noticed
is
that
we
really
need
to
have
a
good
annual
maintenance
plan
and
something
that
I've
heard
from
my
team
is
that
it
would
be
really
ideal
if
we
could
get
to
a
point
where
we
could
really
focus
on
kind
of
one
park.
B
At
a
time
so
then,
each
year
a
park
gets
gets
some
much
needed
love
and
one
of
the
parks
that
I
would
really
like
to
focus
on
is
sales
park,
because
I
know,
based
on
the
2014
master
plan
and
the
2040
comprehensive
plan
for
the
city
of
Athens,
there's
been
Community
feedback
about
additional
parking,
better
Trails
way,
finding
shelter
house,
you
know
lots
of
things
that
continue
to
come
up.
That
aren't
there
right
now,
and
so
that's
definitely
something
that
I've
been
swirling
around
and
wanting
to
do.
B
But
I
think
that
that
could
be
something
that
the
board
could
be
really
useful
in
is
guiding
providing
some
advice
and
guiding
us
into
what
would
a?
What
would
an
annual
maintenance
plan
look
like
so
that
we
build
it
into
the
budget
each
year
to
make
sure
that
these
things
are
happening,
and
so
that
might
be
a
subcommittee
to
kind
of
just
in
general
review?
What
was
the
2014
master
plan?
What
was
the
comprehensive
plan
just
in
case
folks,
aren't
very
familiar
with
it?
B
Ideally,
I
would
like
to
eventually
get
to
having
a
five-year
strategic
plan
and
a
master
plan,
but
I
I
don't
think
we're
there
yet,
but
that's
something
that
I
could
use,
support
and
advice
from
the
board,
because
I
think
that
would
be
a
really
good
opportunity
for
folks
to
get
subcommittees
and
reach
out
to
the
community
so
that
we
can
really
kind
of
start
building
this
growth,
but
also
maintaining
what
we
have
and
kind
of
improving
what
we
have
before.
Continuing
to
add
new.
A
Things
and
can
I
and
Catherine
Anne.
Please
put
your
hand
up
if
I
shouldn't
not
interrupt
you,
but
I
actually
live
in
that
neighborhood,
and
we
use
that
trail
often.
But
at
what
point
in
kind
of
your
vision
of
looking
at
this
maintenance
plan,
would
you
want
to
or
look
forward
to
any
Community
feedback
about,
though,
from
those
who
use
the
trails
often
and
might
have
feedback
about
some
current
activities
that
are
degrading
the
trails
that
should
be
looked
at
not
approving
who
approves
who
uses
them?
A
B
Oh,
that's
a
great
question:
I
think
that
if
you
know,
if,
if
you
all
were
kind
of
in
agreement,
that
the
hey-
that's
a
you
know,
take
a
take
a
park
by
Park
year,
you
know
set
aside
a
lump
sum
of
money
to
kind
of
focus
on
each
park.
At
a
time
then
I
would
say
the
next
step
would
be
identifying
that
park.
I
think
I
think
sells.
Park
is
a
great.
C
B
Because
there
it
does
need
some
trail
rebuilding
rerouting
blocking
off
of
some
of
those.
You
know
side,
Trails
I
mean
there's
just
a
lot.
That's
gone
on
there
way
finding,
because
that
will
help
people
not
make
side
Trails,
but.
B
Mean
immediately
immediately
I
think
that
there's
nothing
wrong
with
that,
because
before
we
start
putting
in
you
know
a
bunch
of
money,
I
mean
we're
talking
tens
of
thousands
of
dollars
easily
to
just
get
something
going
there,
but
there's
also
other
things
that
you
know
parking
is
one
of
those
that
is
kind
of
a.
It
doesn't
really
take
much
to
figure
out.
Well,
okay,
there's
a
flat
grass
space.
B
We
can
extend
that
and
we
can
actually
make
that
a
better
parking
area
for
people,
perhaps
but
then,
as
far
as
getting
the
trails,
reworked
and
Trail
use,
and
if
there
is
a
schedule
of
activities
or
if
there
is,
you
know
an
activity
that
we
don't
want
to.
Allow,
then
that
would
definitely
I
think
require
a
little
bit
more
Community
feedback
and
input
and.
B
Great
question
come
to
me
so,
for
example,
South
Southeast,
Ohio,
Trail,
race,
trail,
running
events,
Michael
Owen
he's
the
race
director,
they
do
Thunder
Bunny
and
they
come
through
sales
park
right
and
he
has
this
past
spring.
He
worked
with
me.
We
created
just
kind
of
like
a
a
permit
so
that
he
had
permission
to
do
those
activities
which
was
is
basically
just
having
the
the
for
a
aid
station
set
up
and
volunteers
there.
So.
A
B
House
so.
C
B
Richlands
lots
of
people
will
host
either
have
the
beginning
of
a
race
or
the
end
of
a
race
at
the
Richland
playground.
So
we
just
reserved
the
shelter
house
and
then
therefore
there's
a
permit
kind
of
issued
for
that.
But
you
know
salespark
doesn't
have
that,
and
so
that's
definitely
reach
out
to
the
Arts
Parks
and
Recreation
Department
to
do
that
and
then,
if
it
becomes
something
that's
greater
than
you
know,
minimal
activities,
that's
when
I
would
kind
of
reach
up
with
code.
You
know
do
I
need
to
do.
B
We
need
to
have
something
more
because
this
might
be
a
bigger
activity
or
something
like
that.
Okay,
perfect
yeah.
It
starts
with
me
good
question,
but
yeah
I
think
having
Community
input
on
on
cells,
Park
trails
and
Trail
use,
and
you
know
what
it
what
it
should
look
like.
B
What
people
would
like
it
to
look
like
would
be
awesome
because
I
think
that's
one
where
we
have
information
that
sales
Park
is
something
that
the
community
wanted
to
focus
on,
but
that
information
is
a
decade
old,
and
so
you
know
before
putting
too
much
and
building
that
dream
from
2014
2013.
A
B
The
planning
of
the
survey,
how
we're
getting
it
out
to
people
what
kind
of
information
we
need
to
get
out
and
how
we
actually
have
a
work
study
student
now
working
for
the
community
center
and
he's
working
on
our
media
and
marketing
and
coming
up
with
marketing
plans
and
how
we
communicate,
and
so
we're
really
excited
about
what
he's
bringing
to
us.
So
this
could
be
something
that
we
could
tie
him
Loop
him
into
as
well
and
assisting
us
with
with
figuring
out
how
to
reach
people.
D
One
organization
that
you
might
also
tap
into
is
fiend
of
the
Far
East
Side
neighborhood
association.
Christy
Thomas
is
the
new
president
of.
D
The
two
things
one
they
have
a
very,
very
active
Facebook
page
but
more
importantly,
quarterly
and
the
next
one
will
be
January
1st.
Every
residence
residence
not
resident,
but
every
residence
in
the
Far
East
Side,
gets
a
hand
delivered
newsletter.
E
D
And
in
that
newsletter,
I
know
that's
not
electronic
at
that
point,
but
in
that
newsletter
you
might
be
able
to
reference
a
survey
or
whatever
input.
If
you
wanted
to
collect
that
information
yeah,
because
even
though
it's
a
city
park
for
everyone,
it
is
used
pretty
heavily
by
those
who
live
over
on
the
far
East
Side
yeah.
A
Very
aware
of
impact
in
that
neighborhood
and
not
not
as
part
of
this
board
I
actually
live
on
Avon
place
so
but
their
newsletter
is
when
people
don't
get
it
at
their
house,
they
reach
out
immediately
to
the
board.
They
all
are
waiting
for
it.
So
you
we
have
a
responsive
neighborhood
as
well,
so
it
is
a
source
of
information
for
for
feedback,
so
that
would
be
great
yeah.
B
B
A
D
Current
editor
of
that
and
the
first,
the
most
recent
one
went
out
first
week,
October
the
next
one
we
bought
the
first
week
in
January
okay,
so
it's
January,
April,
July,
October,
okay,.
B
Great,
thank
you
yeah,
so
something
like
that.
Helping
us
set
our
kind
of
annual
priorities
as
far
as
when
it
comes
to
kind
of
development,
maintenance
and
growth.
A
B
Thank
you
you're
welcome.
Thank
you.
That's
definitely
one
where
I
think
that
would
be
a
good
charge
for
for
folks
on
the
board.
I
just
have
up
here
the
AMAC
collaboration
we
still
need
to,
and
that
would
be
really
awesome
to
figure
out
how
to
meet
with
them.
A
A
A
Kelly
and
I
ran
into
each
other.
Recently,
okay,
okay,
Rebecca
I,
don't
mean
you
mean
to
make
you
feel
left
out.
I
know
you
work
outside
of
the
city
and
it
is
a
small
kind
of
group.
We
ran
into
each
other.
So
after
this
meeting,
how
about
I,
email,
Kelly
and
we'll
get
that
on
the
schedule
so
that
this
can
move
down
in.
B
Europe
that
would
be.
That
would
be
awesome,
because
I
think
that
is.
We
had
decided
that
if
we
could
just
identify
a
Thursday
and
a
Wednesday,
you
know
once
or
twice
a
year,
then
we
could
shift
our
schedules
accordingly,
so
we
could
meet
on
either
that
Wednesday,
you
know
at
Arts
West
with
AMAC
or
vice
versa.
Here
Thursday.
E
D
But
we
met
in
the
basement
of
Arts
West
as
a
group
in
November.
That
was
a
day-long
retreat
and
AMAC
was
a
part
of
that
wow.
So
it's
been
three.
E
B
List
yeah:
maybe
we
get
November
or
December
one
just
to
kind
of
have
what
are
we
doing
together?
You
know
how
can
we
make
sure
that
we're
working
together
and
not
duplicating
okay
I
also
have
the
assistant,
The
Five-Year
project
plan
priorities?
B
I've
talked
about
that.
Definitely
grants,
that's
something
that
we
just
need.
You
know
help
identifying
and
also
help
with
writing
as
well.
We,
we
are
pretty
good
at
getting
grants
in
our
department,
which
is
pretty
exciting,
but
it
definitely
takes
it.
It
takes
a
lot
to
to
try
to
identify
a
good
fit
for
projects
that
we
have
going
on,
and
you
know
what
what
seems
like
it
would
be
worth
worth.
The
application
I
haven't
heard
back
from
Odie
in
our
nature
Works.
B
Yet
so
I
am
eagerly
awaiting
to
hear
back
about
that.
One
then
I
know
the
one
thing
that
we're
all
eager
to
hear
about.
So
the
tennis
and
pickleball
court
that
was
out
to
bid
that
project
was
out
to
bid.
We
did
receive
one
bid.
It
was
well
over
the
10
percent,
so
there's
a
little
bit
of
wiggle
room.
B
Basically
of
you
know
what
bids
we
can
accept
dollar
amount
wise
if
it's
over
what
our
estimate
of
cost
was
by
the
professionals
that
we
had,
and
this
one
was
well
over
it,
and
so
I've
advised
the
board
of
control,
which
is
the
mayor,
the
service
safety
director
and
the
executive
assistant
assistant.
Thank
you
to
reject
the
bid
it
was
almost.
It
was
almost
double
of
what
our
estimate
of
cost
was.
B
B
We
can
work
on
building
that
through
fundraising,
but
we're
not
going
to
get
what
we
had
originally
hoped
for
with
that
amount
of
money.
It
doesn't
look
like
so
I
have
some
options
laid
out
and
there's
a
lot
of
options
here
and
so
obviously
I
know
this
isn't
something
that
we
can
officially
make
any
sort
of
official
suggestion
or
vote
on,
but
I
have
a
lot
of
options
that
we've
kind
of
been
tossing
around,
and
there
is
a
surface
that
it
kind
of
clicks
together.
B
It's
just
it's
a
bunch
of
squares
and
they
click
together
and
it's
called
pickle
grip
and
it
was
helped
developed
by
you
know
with
the
support
of
USA
pickleball
professionals.
That's
meant
specifically
for
pickleball,
and
so
the
reason
I
looked
into.
That
is
because
you
can.
You
know
that
you
can
repurpose
a
cracked
surface.
B
You
don't
have
to
repair
it
and
bring
it
up
to
the
same
standard
that
we
were
looking
at
to
to
have
the
pickleball
quartz
on,
for
instance,
but
we
could
crack
seal
repair
that
asphalt
behind
the
community
center
and
then
put
this
pickle
grip
on
it
and
the
pickle
grip
installation,
materials,
shipping
and
installation
would
be
done
by
that
company.
B
Because
I,
you
know,
we
that's
definitely
something
that
we
don't
want
to
mess
with
and
because,
if
we
don't
do
it
right,
you
know,
then
then
we
don't
get
the
warranty
and
all
the
fun
stuff
with
it.
But
it's
supposed
to
last
for
15
years,
and
so
that's
something
that
I've
looked
into
they're,
sending
me
a
sample,
but
it's
49
000
for
the
size
of
four
quarts.
Basically,
and
that
would
be
could
we
could
put
it
if
we
do
some
crack
seal
repair
on
the
asphalt
behind
the
community
center?
B
We
could
put
it
there
or
we
could
go
back
to
looking
at
repairing
the
current
tennis
courts
and
put
it
there
don't
have
to
use
pickle
grip
at
all.
You
know
we
I
think
there's
just
there's
a
lot
of
different
options
that
we
could
have.
The
reason
that
I
am
you
know,
because
I've
thought
about
this.
A
lot
too,
is
okay.
B
Well,
if
we
build
two
tennis
courts,
I
wouldn't
want
pickleball
lines
painted
on
those
two
tennis
courts,
because
then
we're
reducing
the
opportunities
for
both
groups
to
be
able
to
play,
and
so
I
really
do
feel
like
they
need
for
tennis
to
get
back
and
growing
and
I've
heard
from
the
tennis
community.
You
know
how
important
it
would
be
for
them
to
have
a
space.
B
That's
you
know.
Tennis
focused
and
I've
heard
from
the
pickleball
Community
how
it's
going
to
be
really
important
to
have
a
pickleball.
You
know
space,
so
I'm
still
trying
to
meet
those
those
needs,
but
we
don't
have
the
resources
right
now,
with
the
cost
of
materials
that
continue
to
go
up,
yeah
and
they
haven't
gone
down.
Is.
B
Oh,
we
have
three
hundred
thousand
dollars:
250
from
273
and
50
was
approved
from
arpa
funds,
and
so
we
have
300
000
allocated
and
well.
We
really
have
330,
seven
or
so,
but
we've
spent
that
was
for
the
design
and
the
bid
the
bid
support.
They
put
the
bid
packet
together
and
the
bid
specifications
and
the
design
print
that
we
had
to
put
up
because
it
required
to
have
that
whenever
we
go
out
to
bed
and
then
the
bid
was
for
567
000
dollars.
B
Oh
I,
think,
and
so
that
reminds
me
that
I
did
talk.
So
I
went
back
to
our.
That
is
on
one
of
my
updates.
We
have
something
called
a
collective
purchasing
agreement,
and
that
is
a
way
that
if
a
project
is
over
fifty
thousand
dollars,
if
we
can
go
through,
we
could
either
put
it
out
to
bid,
and
the
idea
of
putting
it
out
to
bid
is
that
you
increase
your
chances
of
having
a
selection
of
of
offers.
Basically,
and
it
could
be,
it
could
reduce
costs
to
the
city.
B
If
you
go
out
to
bid
the
collective
purchasing
group,
we
just
can
find
someone
in
there
who
could
do
it
for
us
and
we
don't
have
to
go
out
to
bid
right.
So
I
did
go
back
to
a
koala,
some
Source
well
and
found,
and
basically
there's
a
big
companies
and
contractors
and
you
send
an
inquiry
in
and
they
say
we
will
get
one
of
our
regional
Partners
to
reach
out
to
you.
So
I
think
it
was
astro
turf
is
where
total
tennis
is
under.
B
So
that
was
confusing
to
me
last
year,
because
total
tennis
isn't
on
there
but
they're
one
of
those
Regional
Partners.
So
you
reach
out
to
the
big
conglomerate
and
then
they
funnel
out
so
I
did
I
did
speak
with
total
tennis
as
well,
and
he's
gonna
he's
working
on
getting
me
a
quote
to
figure
out
this
project.
You
know
what
and
he
said
that
he
did
bid
that
total
tennis
did
bid
on
a
portion
of
the
bid
that
we
had
out
to
that
contractor.
B
So
so
yeah,
so
this
is
one
where
I
have
all
the
options
laid
out
costs
continue
to
change
material
changes
prevailing
wage
changes,
I
I
wish
I
could
I.
You
know
I
wish
I
could
tell
you
that
material
costs
were
going
to
go
down.
I,
don't
know
when,
if
ever
so,
I,
don't
think
that
this
is
a
number.
That's
gonna
come
down
anytime
soon.
C
Not
about
this,
but
the
Grant
Partnerships
I
did
contact
one
of
the
social
work
professors
that
teaches
like
the
grant
class
and
they're
willing
to
partner
for
next
semester.
I,
don't
know
if
you
reached.
E
B
Worked
because
we
had
a
great
meeting
and
we
had
some
really
good
ideas,
and-
and
so
he
was
gonna,
take
that
and
then
start
synthesizing
that
to
figure
out
what
would
kind
of
offer
up
and
work
with
the
projects
with
with
students
in
the
spring.
But
yeah
I'm
really
excited
about
that.
Thank.
B
That,
yes,
yes,
yes,
yes,
and
there
is
a
T-Mobile
Grant,
it's
quarterly,
and
so
the
next
one's
due
at
the
end
of
December
and
so
I
kind
of
started
it
and
sent
it
out
to
Aaron
and
Nicole
for
some
help.
So
we're
gonna
write
that
for
the
tennis
and
pickleball
court
and
it's
for
up
to
fifty
thousand
dollars
so.
A
B
B
B
So
hopefully,
in
the
next
couple
weeks,
we'll
be
able
to
have
that
out
and
the
we
have
all
of
our
programming
happening.
We're
having
Youth
with
saw
that's
going
to
start
up
in
in
a
few
weeks
so
that
registration's
open.
If
you
have
you,
if
you
want
to
play
football
and.
B
A
B
There
yeah
I,
don't
know,
I,
grew
up
playing
indoor
soccer
and
then
I
learned,
Futsal
and
the
ball
is
different
and
I'm
sure
there's
a
little
bit
of
different
skills
and-
and
you
know,
Tech.
B
That
you
can
play
inside
and
and
it's
exciting
and
then
we
of
course
we're
switching
to
our
winter
schedule
in
the
rec
center.
B
So
that
means
we
have
more
programmed
gem
space
time
or
just
allotted
like
you
know:
open
footsaw,
open,
volleyball,
open
basketball,
open
pickleball
did
I,
say
Futsal
I
think
we
could
say
Futsal
okay
and
we're
also
exploring
how
to
make
Sunday's
open
open
at
the
rec
center,
we're
we've
kind
of
crunched
some
numbers,
and
because
we
realized
that
we
were
starting
to
turn
away
people
who
wanted
access
to
the
community
center
on
Sundays,
and
so
we
are
still
trying
to
work
on
hiring
another
building
supervisor,
and
so
we
think
that
in
the
coming,
hopefully,
this
winter,
that
we
can
have
it
open
on
Sundays,
which
I
think
would
make
a
really
big
impact
on
our
community.
B
B
So
thank
you,
Mary
Patterson,
for
helping
us
support,
support
that
because
we
were
able
to
you
know,
boost
boost
our
budget
with
with
the
mayor's
support,
and
so
that's
really
exciting.
So
that's
happening
from
1
to
4
P.M
at
Uptown.
A
Yuba
trick-or-treat
is
2
30
to
4
30,
so
that
all
that
aligns
well
and
then
honey
for
the
hearts
at
five.
So
it's
kind
of
bring
your
families
in
eat.
Some
lunch
go.
Do
some
fun
activities
go.
Do
some
trick-or-treat
get
your
can
Andy
Phil
and
then
do
the
parade.
A
A
A
B
B
A
Oh,
not
that
one
so
I
believe
the
Athens
Uptown
Business
Association
and
the
some
of
the
Halloween
organizers
have
athenshalloween.com,
and
our
red
tail
design
in
Ohio
is
home
is
managing
that
from
the
back
end.
B
B
Okay,
perfect,
thank
you,
and
then
we
have
the
riparian
area
planting
on
November
12th.
So
the
university
has
some
Grant
funds,
the
buenovich
school,
and
we
are
looking
for
volunteers.
I,
think
we
have
about
11
or
12
so
far,
which
is
really
exciting,
but
we're
planting
about
25
trees,
and
that
is
in
that
area
that
we
just
kind
of
cleared
and
it'll
be
kind
of
close
to
the
river,
so
you're
going
to
meet
behind
the
community
center
on
the
bike
path,
and
then
volunteers
will
guide
you
in.
B
If
anybody's
interested,
we
have
a
flyer
that
we're
gonna
get
out.
We
just
got
that
flyer
today
and
I
feel
like
there
was
something:
oh,
the
Athens
Farmers
Market
we're
working
with
Athens
Farmers
Market
to
transition
them
over
to
the
community
center.
B
B
Will
be
for
this
for
in
November,
if
we
can
get
it
all
squared
away,
it'll
be
under
the
solar
arrays
closest
to
the
current
tennis
courts,
so
vendors
will
be
set
up
under
the
basically
the
last
two
solo
arrays
in
that
parking
lot
that
are
closest
to
the
tennis
courts
and
then
we're
working
on
getting
them
indoor
space
for
the
winter
months
and
then
we're
going
to
have.
You
know
we're
just
going
to
have
some
things
that
we
have
to
work
out
as
Logistics
and
whatnot.
B
But
that's
that
seems
to
be
the
dates
that
were
the
week
that
we're
focusing
it
on
to
just
you
know:
go
for
it
and
work
through
work
through
the
getting
everyone
there
and
the
word
out
you
know
and
and
what
it
looks
like.
We've
already
moved
our
trailers
out
of
that
parking
area.
So
if
anybody
knows
who
owns
that
sailboat,
that's
in
that
parking
lot,
we
do
need
it
moved.
B
E
B
Look
it's
a
small
sailboat,
yes,
we're
trying
to
identify
who
that
belongs
to,
and
so
all
the
fun
things
yeah
I
think
those
are
the
big
you
know
those
are
the
big
highlights.
B
We've
got
a
lot
going
on
and
it's
a
lot
of
exciting
things
and
I
I
get
the
sense
from
my
team
that
we're
we're
all
feeling
the
upswing
out
of
the
out
of
out
of
what
2020
and
2021
was
regarding
covid
and
that
you,
you
know
we're
we're
accomplishing
some
pretty
awesome
things
and
we
all
feel
pretty
good
about
it.
A
F
Just
to
Echo
the
work
that
Catherine
and
Jordan
has
been
putting
into
the
farmer's
market
transition.
This
is
something
that
the
Farmers
Market
has
decided.
Finally,
after
decades
10
15
years
as
long
as
I've
been
an
elected
official
here
in
the
city
that
this
has
been
a
conversation,
so
I
have
to
give
a
lot
of
credit
to
commissioner
kushmeel
I,
know
and
he's
a
vendor
that
he's
really
taken
this
on
and
is
trying
to
migrate
them
to
a
less
expensive
and
easier
to
utilize
in
a
lot
of
ways.
F
If
that
outlet,
in
which
they're
using
at
the
market
on
East
State
Street,
would
you
know
be
available
by
month
and
one
of
their
you
know,
one
of
their
desires
was
to
have
more
green
space
in
which
to
have
you
know,
picnic
tables
or
things
of
this,
the
like
to
where
people
who
are
purchasing
things,
in
particular
during
the
Spring
and
Summer
and
early
fall
months,
who
want
to
kind
of
enjoy
some
of
the
things
that
they
may
have
purchased
at
Farmers
Market
to
be
able
to
stay
right
there.
F
So
this
is
I
think
this
is
a
great
move.
It's
something
that
I'm
100
supportive
of
I,
think
it
would.
It
would
be
a
very
welcome
addition
to
the
community
center
campus.
Everything
just
to
mention
is
that
the
dean
of
the
Scripps
College
of
communication
has
been
engaging
with
me
and
one
of
his
honors
tutorial
classes
to
where
they
have
taken.
F
On
the
sixth
floor,
the
parking
garage
as
a
potential
project
and
doing
some
absolutely
amazing
work
to
this
point
in
time
they
started
at
the
beginning
of
the
semester
and
I
engaged
with
with
Dean
titsworth
on
this
project.
He
actually
approached
me
said:
is
there
anything
that
has
kind
of
been
that
bridge
too
far
that
you
would
like
to
have
a
class
thoroughly
immerse
themselves
in
from
an
experiential
learning
standpoint?
So
I
said
yes,
I
do
and
so
they're.
F
It
is
exciting
and
again
without
giving
away
too
many
of
the
details,
because
I
I
do
want
to
have
a
big
reveal
at
some
point
after
this
class
has
worked
really
hard
through
the
semester
to
come
up
with
some
some
real,
tangible
results
for
what
we
could
be
doing
up
on
the
sixth
floor
of
the
partners.
I
think
we
all
recognize
that
it's
a
really
amazing
space
at
the
end
of.
A
The
day,
yeah
and
I
think
I
think
too,
when
we
it's
so
great
as
people
who
exist
in
both
spaces
to
be
able
to
see
the
Viewpoint
of
people,
students
who
are
on
this
campus
and
how
they
see
some
of
our
true
Assets
in
this
community
and
how
we
might
be
able
to
implement
that
that'll
be
very
exciting.
Yeah.
F
F
She
was
the
individual
who
had
this
big
dream
of
place,
making
to
ultimately
turn
the
Armory
Park
into
a
space
that
had
a
mural
and
has
seating
arrangements
and
all
the
stage
which
didn't
exist
before
other
than
it
being
a
landscape
space.
So
no
yeah
to
your
point,
you
know
one
of
the
things
I
think
is
vitally
important
to
student
experience
here
at
Ohio.
University
is
for
them
to
be
of
Hands-On
with
something
because
when
they
graduate
and
go
wherever
they're
going
to
go,
I
want
them
all
to
stay,
but
I
know
that's
not
reality.
F
You
know
they're
likely
to
come
back
and
to
be
able
to
come
back
and
point
to
something
and
go.
You
know
see
that
over
there
I
was
a
part
of
making
that
actually
happen,
so
their
fingerprints
are
longer
standing
than
than
just
the
four
or
five
x
number
of
years.
That
they're
here
at
all,
University.
A
And
they
bring
a
different
perspective,
they
bring
a
different
perspective
that
helps
us
all
grow,
so
I
think
that's
pretty
great.
Do
you
have
anything
else
to
add
I?
Think?
That's
it!
That's
it
so
because
I
don't
usually
run
this
meeting
I
apologize.
If
there's
any
points
in
procedure
that
we've
kind
of
ignored
or
might
have
stepped
over,
but
this
is
informational.
We
don't
have
a
quorum.
Rebecca
and
I
obviously
are
not
the
only
members
of
the
rec
Advisory
Board.
A
We
had
a
lot
of
conflicting
commitments
this
evening,
so
the
rest
of
our
agenda
that
was
published
discussing
our
board
officers,
any
other
new
member
discussion
will
an
approval
of
Prior
minutes
will
have
to
happen
at
our
next
meeting,
which
is
scheduled
for
November
17th
2022
at
5
30
pm
here,
so
that
will
be
published
on
the
website
with
our
agenda
other
than
that
am
I
missing
I
apologize
that
I
have
to
ask
back
to
the
mayor
or
Catherine.
B
No,
no!
That's
why
I
think
that,
just
for
point
of
you
know
something
for
folks
to
think
about,
since
we
send
a
follow-up
email
that
it
would
be
great
if
we
had
a
chair
a
vice
chair
and
a
secretary
and
whenever
it
comes
to
time
for
folks
to
put
up,
put
up
to
vote,
nominate
and
put
up
to
vote
for
that
and
then
going
back
to
figuring
out
how
to
fill
the
vacancies
and.
A
This
is
a
mayor
appointed
records.
The
Advisory
council
is
appointed
by
the
mayor
there
I
know
when
I
was
appointed.
There
was
an
application
that
went
out,
but
anyone
can
nominate
anyone
to
serve
in
this
position.
We
all
those
of
us
who
live
in
the
city
and
use
the
facilities
it's
great
to
be
able
to
supplement
with
Catherine
Ann
and
the
community
center
and
all
of
their
staff
does
by
bringing
any
knowledge
or
information
from
the
community.
A
B
E
A
Kidding
so
with
that
I
guess,
we
will
unofficially
adjourn
for
any
information.
You
can
email
or
I.
B
Can
follow
up,
I
did
not
send
these
via
email
yesterday
and
so
I
can
follow
up.
Probably
next
week.
