A
Good
evening
this
is
the
ethnicity
shade-tree
Commission
meeting
for
October
11th
2018
I,
don't
have
any
title
33
issues,
I've
got
one
item
under
title.
37
question
was
asked
by
a
commissioner
about
the
goodwill
property
on
Columbus
Road,
and
the
question
was
about
the
planting
of
trees.
At
that
site.
We
did
expect
trees
to
be
planted
and
the
code
director
has
asked
the
owner
for
information
on
when
they
own
the
plant
and
what.
B
A
E
So
we
still
have
to
do
an
arbor
day
has
required
for
Tree
City
USA,
and
we
are
scheduled
for
next
Friday
October
19th
at
West
elementary
school
to
plant
the
trees
I
have
3rd
and
4th
grade.
Students
lined
up
for
ceremony
of
2
p.m.
where
we
will
teach
them
how
to
plant
trees,
talk
about
the
importance
of
trees
and
actually
let
them
get
their
hands
dirty
a
little
bit
with
planting
the
tree,
keeping
it
straight
in
the
dirt
back
in
with
mulch
in,
and
you
are
more
than
welcome
to
attend.
E
E
E
A
great
point
in
Central
Avenue
has
pretty
good
canopy
so
somewhere
in
the
along
the
lines
of
the
the
apartment
complex
in
the
golf
course
driving
range
all
where,
between
there
90.
E
G
E
Fall
tree
planting
will
be
taking
place
late,
November
early
December
I
haven't
decided
who
I'm
gonna
go
with
in
terms
of
a
vendor.
We
typically
go
with
by
spring
farm,
but
a
green
leaf
has
some
as
quite
a
few
trees
in
stock
that
are
better
that
we
need
it
that
we
could
put
in
the
ground
at
a
at
a
lower
rate.
So
I'll
compare
I'll,
do
some
homework
on
that
to
see
where
we're
getting
the
best
prices.
E
I
have
planted
ten
trees,
new
trees
on
Tulane
I,
don't
know
if
anyone
has
driven
Tulane
lately,
but
there
are
quite
a
few
new
trees
there
and
we
also
planted
a
tree
for
the
winner
of
the
Pete
p3p
to
challenge
from
the
stormwater
pollution
prevention.
Week.
Last
year
we
planted
that
at
West
I'm
sorry
East,
8th
Street
Park
by
the
new
pool
by
the
bio
retention
Basin
that
has
not
been
planted
yet,
but
that
will
be
a
nice
feature
tree
of
that
spot.
E
E
To
the
trip
to
the
city
street
program,
two
more
things:
I'm
working
with
students
from
a
high
university
and
learning
McCosker
class
to
continue
the
tree
inventory
work
that
was
completed
by
Jackie
CLEP
for
two
years
ago.
So
we're
gonna
resume
that
project
and
half
cap
has
some
money
available.
A
pretty
significant
amount
of
money
available
for
tree
tree
restoration
projects.
A
E
That
could
very
well
be
something
that
we
could
do.
I
was
thinking
Deadwood
pruning
into
that
nature.
Yeah,
okay,
yeah,
we're
almost
caught
up
and
and
I
say
that
with
ash,
we've
removed
quite
a
few
ash
trees
over
the
last
three
years,
and
it's
not
as
difficult
to
get
contractors
lined
up
to
do
removals
anymore,
like
it
was
the
last
year
and
a
half.
So
a
lot
of
our
removal.
Our
have
taken
place.
E
D
E
E
There
are
two
projects
in
particularly
I
can
pick
up,
one
being
done:
wood,
yeah
and
the
other
being
Menards,
mm-hmm
and
there's
actually
another
one.
Southeast
beverage
I
believe
is
that
ring
a
bell.
The
former
curves
does
that.
H
H
E
The
the
tree
banking
concept
is
that
we
have
X
amount
of
trees
based
on
the
projects
that
we've
allowed.
To
do
that,
however,
we
haven't
seen
any
check
that
comes
to
the
city
and
says
this
is
for
this
trees
or
we
haven't
the
only
one
that
we've
done.
Anything
really
with
is
Jackie
O's,
that
was
ya,
know
the
one
yeah
and
the
Simpson
Avenue
roundabout.
H
E
E
D
A
A
This
is
many
years
ago
now,
when
we,
when
we
did
this,
because
it
was
under
the
previous
code
code,
director
and
I-
believe
it
was
set
up
so
that
they
would
pay
the
money
to
him
and
then
he
had
to
transfer
it
over
to
the
general
fund
of
the,
because
one
of
the
issues
here
is
you
can't
earmark
funds
year
after
year.
I
believe
is.
E
B
A
A
B
E
B
E
B
A
F
C
A
B
B
B
C
B
A
Yeah
I
mean
I'll,
try
and
do
it.
I
I'll
need
to
know
some
identifiers
to
it
or
one
what
a
date.
Perhaps
if
people
recall
when
the
date
roughly
was
a
bit
because
I
have
all
the
minutes
and
and
the
minutes
all
should
now
be
somewhere
in
the
city
website,
but
I've
never
never
actually
plumbed
the
depths
and
I'd
like
to
figure
out
where
it
is,
but
certainly
I
I
have
copies
of
all
the
minutes.
A
A
H
A
H
A
A
That
wait
for
that
one
I
must
referred.
One
we
were
asking
about,
Don
would
Dom
would
heaven
they
have
been
told
by
the
code
director
that
they
are
that
we're
still
hold
plan.
Whoever
gave
us
a
plan.
Okay,
that's
because
part
of
the
deal
was.
If
they
could
plant
some
trees,
they
wouldn't
have
to
Bank
as
money
right.
A
A
A
B
A
The
I
can
remember
if
actually
I,
think
that's
one
where
we
didn't
get
an
electronic
copy
of
their
plans
and
that's
something
going
forward
that
we've
either
got
to
insist
on
or
the
city
is
going
to
have
to
take
a
paper
planner
and
turn
it
into
an
electronic
copy
for
us
to
be
able
to
vote
with
our
minutes
mm-hmm,
because
this
is
the
only
way
we're
going
to
be
able
to
track
these
things,
yeah
yeah
that
would
be
convenient,
and
then
you
know
one
count
this
well
what
once
we
get
an
electronic
copy?
A
A
Just
note
that
they're
just
PDF
documents
yeah
and
you
can
make
comments
and
draw
pictures,
and
they
would
do
all
sorts
of
wonderful
things
on
those
documents,
and
so
that
the
law
director
has
said
is
the
way
that
we
should
be
maintaining
our
records.
And
so,
when
I
give
this
to
Tanya,
you
have
to
approve
our
minutes
tonight,
I'll
be
sending
them
off
to
Tanya
and
she
will
then
post
them
somewhere
as
I
say
in
the
in
the
city's
website.
F
H
H
E
H
D
F
When
I
went
to
the
pool,
I
felt
like
the
pool
lost
some
shade
from
from
the
new
natural
shade,
I
mean
they've
got
umbrellas
there
and
things
now,
but
but
I
felt
like
the
pool
area
lost
shade,
because
the
trees
removed,
yeah
I
wasn't
I'm,
not
sure
there
were
many,
but
then
they
are
small,
obvious
or
are
yeah.
There's
mommy,
then
that
chase
trees,
yeah
yeah.
E
Sour
few
trees
on
the
eastern
and
it
would
be
the
western
leg
of
the
pool
so
from
the
parking
lot
to
the
sidewalk.
That
goes
into
the
front
entrance
of
the
pool
that
connects
from
nice
Park
Drive
that
has
a
number
of
new
trees
planted
on
it
and
then
the
back
fence
along
the
East
Park
Drive,
the
western
side
of
the
pool.
There
are
a
number
of
new
trees
planted
there,
but
they're
they're
young
yeah
is.
F
It
would
it
be
possible
to
have
attached
to
each
months
minutes
a
listing
of
the
trees
that
are
banked
by
you
know
by
owner
and
then
as
we
meet
that
could
be
adjusted
when
you
know
when
the
city
uses
some
of
the
trees
that
are
banked
for
a
particular
owner,
or
something
like
that.
Does
that
make
sense,
because
it
seems
like
right
now.
It's
you
it's
pretty
haphazard
in
terms
of
what's
available
and
where
it
is
in
terms
of
a
collecting
money,
and
things
like
that.
It's.
F
A
E
E
H
H
A
Mean
what
one
way
to
do
it
is
it
when
we
give
the
approval
is
asked
when
they
expect
to
be
that
late,
yeah
and
then
and
then
I
can
maintain
a
record
of
the
calendar
like
that
right
that
just
you
know
in
those
minutes,
we
will
record
what
they
said
and
I'll
try
and
remember,
to
put
it
in
my
calendar.
That's
the
date
at
which
we
then
need
to
do
what
you
just
described,
that
you're
doing
for
the
zoo
later.
The
other
step.
H
F
F
Then
I'm
one
of
the
I
was
gonna
get
to
and
if
they
don't
pay
by
a
certain
time,
if
the
cost
goes
up,
then
obviously
their
bill
should
go
up
in
accordance
with
that,
because
we
don't
have
the
money
to
available
to
us
to
plant
the
tree.
And
if
we
get
the
money
and
we
don't
plan
the
tree,
then
it's
art,
then
it's
our
issue
at
that
point.
But
but
if
they
haven't
paid,
you
know
contributed
what
is
required
to
to
cover
the
cost
of
theirs.
F
A
Okay,
this
this
describes
the
vote,
the
voting
we
have
to
go
through
and
all
the
rest
of
it,
but
at
the
end
it
says
the
procedure
the
owner
will
pay
the
city
a
fee
for
each
large
shade
tree
to
be
relocated
to
a
public
party
right
away
within
the
city
before
a
use
or
zone
permit
is
granted.
Now
that's
our
policy.
We
can't
force
the
city
to
do
to
actually
follow
that
through,
but
I
believe
at
the
time
that
was
the
intent
of
the
code
director
that
we
had.
A
E
A
E
I
just
wanted
to
mention
that
it's
not
really
it's
kind
of
tree
related,
it's
it's
leaf.
Seasons
coming
up
pick
up
is
starting
next
Monday
and
if
you
remember
from
previous
years
it's
very
similar,
we
break
the
city
down
into
three
areas,
and
then
we
spend
an
entire
week
in
each
of
those
areas
and
there's
a
map
that'll
be
on
the
website.
That
will
show
you
those
areas
we
do
those
each
three
times
throughout
the
year
or
the
next
couple
months
and
then
the
week
before
the
holiday
season.
E
H
E
He's
been
on
staff
for
a
number
of
years.
He
works
in
lands
and
buildings,
particularly
he's
one
of
our
landscapers
he's
been
one
of
our
landscapers
for
the
past
five
or
six
years.
I
believe
he's
been
on
staff
for
a
while.
Currently
he
spends
a
lot
of
his
time
in
the
cemetery
and
doing
work
on
the
Uptown
area,
with
the
pressure
washer
of
removing
gum
and
collecting
the
cigarette
butts
from
the
boxes.
E
A
D
D
B
I
have
a
question
again
a
little
tree
related
and
that
is
the
I'm
very
interested
in
what's
happening
on
East
State,
Street
east
of
the
overpass
there's
digging
going
on
there
and
that
there
were
tree
two
trees
planted
there
before
and
we
kept
asking.
Why
were
they
cut
down?
But
now
we
know
hoe,
because
this
must
have
been
in
preparation
for
this
project
I'm,
assuming
what
what
are
the
plans
for
that
and
will
there
be
trees
there.
F
E
So
the
thought
process
instead
of
doing
a
the
solution
for
the
intersection,
is
two
right
turns,
and
one
straight
through
from
every
leg
of
the
road
which
or
to
turn
lanes
on
to
the
main
part
easy.
That's
right,
then
that
will
clear
the
intersection
more
efficiently
because
it
was
built
out.
It
was.
It
was
at
capacity.
So
that
is
the
solution
and
that's
why
all
that
work
is
taking
place.
Widening
the
lanes,
things
like
maybe.
E
C
E
G
H
Took
the
feedback
that
I
was
provided
and
redid
the
the
brochure
for
education
that
we
were
working
on
and
then
I
got
a
paper
jam
and
couldn't
do
anything
gonna
get
out
so
I
couldn't
breathe,
but
I
wondered
once
we
have
that
fine
line
is
theirs.
What
would
be
the
next
step
in
trying
to
get
it
printed
up
with
some
picture
in
it
or
something.
E
How
big
is
this?
Is
it
a
single
page,
that'll.
H
E
E
E
A
Your
work
with
Ron,
good,
wonderful
I've
got
one
item
under
maintenance.
A
tree
canopy
there's
a
tree
survival
school
on
October
20th
at
little
Hawking,
River,
Park
and
Bonner
is
a
contact.
The
details
on
that
it's
going
to
be
a
Saturday
and
that's
one
I
might
be
able
to
get
to
that.
We'll
see
that
happens.
