Description
Mayor's Weekly Update - November 25, 2020
A
Wednesday
afternoon
for
the
weekly
update
with
the
mayor
and
as
usual,
we
have
kyle
johansen,
giving
us
the
seven
day
forecast
and
all
things
covet
and
possibly
some
sports
updates
today.
So
I'm
gonna
kick
it
straight
to
you.
Kyle.
A
So
snow
is
on
the
way,
yep.
Well,
I'm
sure,
with
that
much
snow.
If
that
holds
true
kyle,
our
our
snow
plows
will
be
running
the
streets,
making
sure
that
we
make
safe
passage
for
everyone
who's
trying
to
get
from
point
a
to
point
b.
A
Thank
you,
kyle
and,
as
you
heard,
you
know
the
weather
chance
of
rain
tomorrow,
but
hopefully
it's
mostly
cloudy.
It's
unfortunate,
it's
not
sunny
for
thanksgiving,
but
it
is
what
it
is.
Kyle
give
us
the
most
recent
update,
if
you
would,
with
covet
19.
B
A
Well,
and
to
that
point,
thank
you,
kyle
for
updating
us
on
the
cases
across
the
united
states
here
in
ohio
and
around
the
globe.
You
know
I
I
can't
stress
this
enough.
I've
stressed
it
over
and
over
again,
you
know,
reduce
your
travel
or
don't
travel
at
all
tomorrow
for
the
thanksgiving
holiday.
A
Again,
I
can't
stress
that
enough
kyle,
you,
I
see
that
you've
got
rufus
sitting
right
behind
you,
assuming
that
was
a
game.
Pre-Coveted
19,
where
you
are
the
number
one
fan
rufus
fan
in
the
nation,
any
updates
in
the
sports
world
today.
A
A
I
wish
you
and
your
family,
a
wonderful
thanksgiving
and
you
know
again,
looks
like
we
have
snow
in
the
forecast
next
week,
which
I
love
snow
and
I
know
there's
a
lot
of
people
who
don't,
but
I
I
do
so.
Thank
you.
Kyle.
A
I
don't
have
a
whole
lot
of
items
today
to
discuss,
but
we
do
have
some
things
that
are
worth
updating
people
on
when
it
comes
to
engineering
and
public
works,
stimson,
avenue,
columbia,
gas
project
in
that
area,
that
is
ongoing,
they're
working
on
stimson,
palmer,
street
and
campbell,
and
they
will
continue
on
until
that
project
is
finally
put
to
bed.
So
it's
a
lot
of
working
on
that
area.
Some
of
it
is
in
preparation
for
the
west
union,
I'm
sorry
the
stimson
avenue
redesign,
which
will
be
coming
next
year
next
summer
sometime.
A
The
next
thing
I
want
to
mention
is
the
2020
leaf
pickup.
If
ryan,
if
you
can
pop
that
up,
thank
you
there.
It
is
you'll
see
that
we
are
into
week
three
for
area
one
area,
one
is
the
far
east
neighborhood
and
the
northern
portion
of
the
city
that
will
be
running
through
the
25th
area.
2
will
start
next
week,
the
30th
through
the
4th
of
december,
and
that
is
primarily
the
west
side
and
the
uptown
area
to
include
stimson
palmer,
stuart.
A
A
So
as
well
as
the
turtle
creek
development,
so
they'll
be
running
through
there
make
sure
you
sweep
or
blow
or
rake
your
leaves
out
to
the
curb
or
the
edge
of
your
property
along
the
street,
and
the
leaf
truck
will
come
along
and
pick
that
all
up,
then
there
will
be
one
final
sweep,
which
is
which
will
start
december
14th,
and
they
will
be
running
around
the
leaf
truck
picking
up
one
last
pass.
So
keep
that
in
mind.
Getting
your
raked
up
leaves
out
to
the
curb.
A
Thank
you,
ryan.
The
last
few
items
that
I
have
for
today
are
related
to
arts
parks
and
recreation
pickleball.
For
those
of
you
who
enjoy
playing
pickleball
beginning
monday
november
30th,
they
will
be
expanding
the
available
time
slight
slots
for
pickleball.
So
if
you're
interested
in
playing
pickleball
make
sure
you
call
the
community
center
and
reserve
a
court,
you
can
reach
out
via
phone
at
592,
592-3325
and
reserve
that
pickleball
court,
which
is
great
I've,
seen
a
lot
of
people
taking
advantage
of
the
pickleball
pickleball
in
the
community
center.
A
I
think
that's
pretty
much
all
I
have
for
today
we
do
have
some
meetings
coming
up
that
are
probably
worth
mentioning
to
people.
The
athens
city,
sustainability
commission
will
be
wednesday
december
2nd.
So
keep
that
in
mind
the
joint
police
advisory
council
will
be
thursday
december
3rd.
A
I
should
mention,
with
tomorrow,
being
a
thanksgiving
holiday
that
trash,
pickup
and
recycling
will
be
pushed
to
friday
for
those
of
you
who
are
on
a
thursday
route.
So
just
remember
don't
push
yourself
out
to
the
curb
tomorrow,
wait
and
push
it
out
there
on
friday
to
have
it
picked
up,
that's
pretty
much!
All
I
have
for
today.
I
do
have
some
special
guests
that
are
here
with
me
that
wanted
to
come
on
and
make
sure
that
we
are
conveying
to
all
of
you
again.
A
Please
be
safe,
be
smart,
wear
a
mask
and
social
distance
or
stick
with
your
family,
like
I
am
right
here
and
from
the
patterson
family
to
all
of
you.
We
want
to
wish
you
a
happy
thanksgiving,
take
care
and
tune
in
next
week
for
the
next
installment
of
the
weekly
update
with
the
mayor.
Take
care.
