From YouTube: Shade Tree Commission November 10th, 2016
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Is
in
various
locations
in
the
city,
if
there's
any
particular
spots,
you
would
like
him
to
plant
a
tree
at
then.
Let
him
know
and
the
final
item
his
God
is
he's
going
to
attend
the
Ohio
tree
care
conference
on
January
29
through
februari
first
next
year,
and
that's
the
end
of
Ron's
report.
Are
there
any
matters
that
people
want
me
to
raise
with
Ron
at
all?
B
Ahead,
please
all
right
good
evening.
My
name
is
matthew
roberts
resident
of
athens
coming
you
to
you
tonight
with
a
few
hats
on.
I
sit
on
the
city's
environment
and
sustainability,
Commission
work
for
upgrade
Athens,
County
and
I'm.
Also
the
co-chair
of
the
Appalachian
Ohio
Sierra
Club,
so
I'm
coming
tonight
to
present
the
Arbor
Day
foundations,
energy
saving
trees
program
sounds
like
it's
good
timing
looks
like
you're
getting
a
tree
city.
B
B
Well,
so
I'll
just
give
you
a
brief
rundown
and
then
I'd
like
to
pass
off
information
that
I
learned
through
a
demonstration
presentation
and
the
contact
input
to
the
person
I
spoke
with,
and,
of
course,
I'm
here
to
be
a
liaison
between
the
effort.
If
the
city
would
like
to
adopt
this
program
in
some
way
or
communicate
with
potential
partners
on
bringing
this
to
the
city,
so
what
I
learned
briefly
for
is
a
you
know,
and
many
of
you
probably
know
this
for
every
one
dollar
spent
on
planting
a
tree.
B
The
arbor
day
foundation,
of
course
works
to
provide
free
trees
to
community
members
and
they're
they're
real
selling
point
is
they
offer
a
dashboard
system
where
residents
can
go
on
their
property
and
pick
out
what
trees
they
like
on
the
free
tree
list
show
through
GIS
mapping
where,
where
they
were
planted
in
the
energy
savings
expected
to
be
from
that
planting
them,
so
it's
very
interactive
and
they
use
a
system
called
I
tree
I'm,
not
sure
if
you
guys
are
familiar
with
that
developed
in
partnership
with
the
u.s.
Forest
Service.
B
B
So
I'll
give
you
a
quick
rundown
of
the
costs
of
what
this
would
sound
like
because,
of
course,
is
always
some
sort
of
price
tag
attached
to
these
things
are
bird
day
has
different
opportunities.
You
can
do
a
pickup
program,
you
can
do
a
direct
delivery
program
or
you
can
do
a
hybrid
of
the
two.
So,
if
we're
looking
at
a
event
to
be
hosted
where
people
can
come
and
pick
up
free
trees
and
then
plant
them,
it's
a
cost
of
about.
Forty
to
forty.
B
Eight
dollars
per
tree,
which
sounds
high,
but
it's
all
inclusive,
to
include
administrative
assistance
by
the
Arbor
Day
Foundation
a
call
center
support,
so
there's
a
number
that
people
can
call
to
talk
about
their
tree
into
what.
If
this
is
the
best
place
to
plant
it,
the
actual
tree
itself,
the
dashboard
system
that
can
be
integrated
on
a
city
website,
data
storage,
so
that
you
can
actually
collect
data
about
the
impact
that
it's
making
I.
B
Imagine
that
people
that
already
have
trees
in
their
yard
can
interact
with
this
dashboard
system
have
entries
already
planted
and
see
what
their
energy
saving
benefits
have
already
been
or
will
be
in
the
future.
So
I
think
that's
another
great
reason
to
bring
it
on
not
just
for
providing
free
trees
for
people
in
this
educational
effort.
They
have
a
system
where
cities
and
organizations
have
taken
it
upon
themselves
as
far
as
they
know
where
to
purchase
trees.
B
They
they
already
have
partners
in
the
area
where
they
can
get
trees
themselves,
and
in
that
case
it
would
cost
ten
to
fifteen
dollars
per
tree,
and
that
includes
all
the
things
I
mentioned.
It's
not
the
tree
itself
and
then
the
in
the
direct
delivery
model.
This
is
more
first
cities
that
really
have
no
tree
initiatives
going
on.
B
It
will
be
delivered
straight
to
your
house
and
instead
of
a
five
foot
container,
which
is
their
standard,
it
would
come
in
a
one
foot
container
tree
seedling,
ready
to
go
and
then
ground,
and
that
cost
is
about
thirty
to
thirty
six
dollars
per
tree
and
then
just
depending
on
how
you
know
a
city
or
an
organization.
We
want
to
structure
this
program.
You
can
hybridize
that
that
model
of
delivering
it
to
the
citizens.
C
D
B
B
Are
the
bigger
trees?
So
that's
probably
the
cost
is
factoring
to
they'll,
be
able
to
source
and
help
source
bigger
trees,
trees
that
are
more
mature
instead
of
the
direct
delivery,
which
is
you
know,
on
purpose,
seedlings
and
in
packaging,
so
that
it
won't
damage
in
transit.
Ok,
so
the
larger
trees
are
at
the
event
yeah.
But
again
you
can
hybridize
this
in
the
way
you
can
have
a
smaller
pickup
portion
and
have
more
direct.
B
B
If,
in
that
situation,
yeah
renters
probably
want
to
be
able
to
do
this
because
they
don't
own
the
property,
so
you'd
have
to
work
directly
with
landlords,
but
you
know
coming
from
my
hat
as
an
upgrade
athens
county
staff
member.
This
we
work
directly
with
landlords
on
energy
savings.
This
is
something
that
we
could
provide
as
a
next
step,
we've
already
given
them,
many
landlords,
free
LED,
light
bulbs
and
here's
another
step
to
keep
engaging
them
in
energy
efficiency
as
a
way
to
promote
that
this
other
properties
is.
C
B
B
Right
yeah
I
mean
there's,
there's
a
lot
of
different
examples
out
there
I
think
this
is
in
27
States
working
with
33
utilities
and
over
40
organizations.
So
it's
fairly
small
but
I
noticed
that
this
is
not
happening
in
Ohio
and
I
figured
that
the
city
of
Athens,
especially
with
this
tree
city,
designation
that
I
didn't
know
about,
might
find
this
appealing
but
yeah
in
a
way
where
you
know
this.
B
In
there,
that's
that's
a
discussion
to
be
had
I,
don't
think
anyone's
reached
out
to
AP
about
this
I.
Actually
I
know
the
arbor
day
foundation
had
originally,
and
they
said
they
were
interested.
I
think
what
the
utilities
need
is:
a
community
that's
willing
to
work
with
them,
someone
to
come
to
them
directly
and
there's
already
a
relationship.
There.
We've
worked
with
AP
and
columbia,
gas
on
the
Community
Energy
Savers
program.
A
B
Yeah
and
it's
a
you
know
in
many
ways:
it
will
help
them
in
the
future
when
they
have
to
look
at
managing
for
energy
demand
and
in
time
these
trees
can
provide
that
peak
reduction
and
AV
is
probably
the
most
willing
utility
on
the
state
to
work
on
energy
efficiency
of
things.
So
it's
a
good
opportunity
to
strengthen
that
bond.
B
A
A
I
expect
what
they
would
probably
do
is
I
expect
the
the
property
owners
to
be
high
and
paying
the
money
into
a
pool,
and
that
the
city
would
simply
organ,
be
the
organizer,
and
they
may
be
interested
enough.
That's
again
something
wrong
without
to
decide
if
they
want
to
do
invest
city
funds
in
the
in
the
purchase
of
trees,
but
the
clearly
needs
to
be
some
sort
of
organization
ability
for
they.
For
this
thing
to
proceed,.
B
B
E
B
Yeah
and
I
think
our
bday
is
really
going
to
provide
a
lot
here.
I
mean
the
dashboard,
looks
really
incredible.
It's
interesting.
You
can
overlay
different
GIS
maps
that
are
already
available
on
to
their
system,
so
I
mean
talking
about
a
whole
number,
a
number
of
ways
that
the
city
can
interact
with.
B
B
C
F
Yes,
so,
like
you
were
talking
earlier,
or
we
were
talking
earlier,
we're
talking
about
in
December
planning
another
15
trees
in
in
the
public
domain.
In
order
for
us
to
track
those
on
the
dashboard,
would
we
have
to
pay
something,
even
though
we
were
purchasing
the
trees
and
planting?
That's
that's
the
ten
to.
B
Yep
that
would
be
reappear
tree,
but
I
mean
yeah
I,
think
it's
something
you
guys
should
explore.
I
have
access
to
the
powerpoint
demonstration
that
the
person
I'm
in
touch
with
at
the
arbor
day
foundation
I
could
pass
that
along
I
already
have
a
number
of
resources.
I
could
pass
on
as
soon
as
I
get
to
a
computer
to
to
Ron
probably
sounds
like
the
best
person
the
same
as
to
yeah
so
yeah,
but
I
really
think.
If
you
take
a
good
look
at
it,
you'll
find
that
you
know
beyond
the
cost.
C
B
B
B
And
before
you
know,
trees
even
come
residents
have
the
opportunity
to
really
figure
out
what
she
would
be
best
to
place
in
their
yard
or
on
their
property,
and
so
that
kind
of
helps
inform
what
should
be
bought
and
delivered.
But
again,
don't
know.
I
think,
there's
plenty
of
tree
cells
around
here.
E
A
The
person
we
will
involve
is
an
Bona
who's.
The
urban
tree
forester
for
the
Department
of
Natural
Resources,
our
offices,
down
least
the
East,
a
straighter,
yeah
and
she'd
be
the
person
who
but
she's
our
local
resource
when
it
comes
to
trying
to
figure
out
whether
trees
are
healthy
or
where
tree
should
be
planted
along
with
Ron
who's.
Also,
a
certified
arborist
as
well
yeah.
A
A
A
Okay,
I,
don't
have
anything
under
other,
although
I
we
did
have
a
mattock
pop
up
right
at
the
end
of
the
meeting
last
week,
where
I
think
it
was
Nancy
asked
about
emerald
ash,
borer
attacking
white
white
french
trees,
which
I
found
some
websites.
That
say
the
answer
is
yes.
However,
there
are
other
websites
and
other
people
I've
spoken
to.
That
said
that
the
emerald
ash
borer
will
attack
many
different
trees
given
the
chance,
and
so
there's
no
guarantee
that
it's
it
that
it
is
actually
targeting
me
the
the
white
fringe
trees.
A
A
Yeah
but
the
trees
can
go
into
decline
and
then
Boras
of
other
types
take
take
over
and
the
thing
to
watch
for
of
these
I
was,
I
was
surprised
yeah,
but
I
was
surprised
how
small
they
were
the
they
are
about
three
sixteenth
of
an
inch.
You
know
no
more
than
two
or
three
millimeters
at
most
they're,
much
smaller
than
the
at
the
board
boreholes.
C
C
E
A
C
A
A
C
C
A
Yeah
open
all
we
can
do
is
get
out
the
submissions
that
they
made
to
us
and
check
in
the
minutes
and
see
oh
yeah,
because
the
other
thing
is
that
we
give
them
to
planting
seasons
and
we've
agreed
with
the
city
that
that
now
consists
of
full
spring
or
spring
fall,
so
that
within
one
year
of
them
occupying
the
bill.
There's
a
current.
D
A
The
lot
yeah
any
other
questions.
If
not,
we
have
the
minutes
of
the
last
meeting
which
you've
all
got
a
copy
off
and
I
wrote
these
up
straight
after
the
meeting
this
time,
because
we
didn't
have
the
video
available
and
so
I'm
hoping
I
got
it
right.
I
know:
I
gave
rick
a
copy
of
these
and
he,
but
he
made
a
correction
to
them.
A
F
E
Was
it
lee
greg
was
here
at
the
last
meeting?
Yes,.
A
Yep,
I
will,
I
will
add
her
to
the
list.
Again.
That's
that's
one
of
the
problems,
not
another
in
the
video.
I
do
try
and
make
a
list
I
made
a
list
for
tonight
of
the
six
of
us
who
are
here
and
I
thought
I'd
made
the
list
last
time
as
well,
but
maybe
I
didn't
I
will
include
her
on
the
corrected
minutes.
