From YouTube: 11/04/19 - Council Meeting recap Craig Clark
Description
City of Austin, Minnesota
A
Thanks
for
joining
us
on
this
edition
of
the
so
meant
Monday
November
4
5:30
in
the
council
chain,
this
mayor
steamed
read
a
proclamation
for
November
20
19
as
onthe
month
here
in
Austin.
So
he
went
through
that
and
read
the
resolution.
First
item
of
business
was
the
public
hearing.
We
have
to
do
public
hearings
for
a
currency
exchange
facility,
as
tienda
Guerrera
had
a
request
for
that
for
a
currency
exchange
license
health
public
hearing
no
noise.
A
No
one
was
here
to
comment
on
that
council
approved
that
after
the
public
hearing,
we
had
approve
all
bids
for
demolition
of
buildings,
several
hazardous
structures
that
the
city
needs
to
have
removed.
We
had
three
bids
for
that
and
four
structures.
The
bid
for
that
was
twenty.
Seven
thousand
three
hundred
went
to
rush
for
Generation
X
or
excuse
me,
Generation
X
company,
out
of
Rushford
Minnesota
next
item
of
business
was
to
approve
$5,000
for
the
downtown
planters
for
winter
greenery
and
the
planters
in
downtown
Seoul
make
that
look
nice.
We
move
forward.
A
Excuse
me
14th
Street,
and
they
wanted
to
be
able
to
allow
for
a
car
dealership
used
car
dealership
right
now
the
zoning
is
r2,
so
we
had
quite
an
interesting
conversation.
These
are
these.
Discussions
on
zoning
are
really
particular
to
a
given
neighborhood
and
residents
for
and
against,
come
out
and
visit
about
them
owners
and
those
the
gentleman
that
wanted
to
open
the
car
dealership
that
ended
up
passing
the
rezoning
request
on
a
5-2
to
vote.
So
a
little
bit
of
a
split
vote
that
we
move
forward
with
rezoning
that
property.
A
As
the
discussion
transpired,
we
also
would
have
to
do
a
conditional
use
for
the
property
and
a
variance
request,
so
those
items
would
be
coming
forward
at
a
later
time.
The
adoption
of
the
ordinance
actually
has
to
be
approved
unanimously
on
its
first
reading,
because
I
was
a
5-2
vote
would
be
carried
forward
to
the
next
council.
A
Meeting
next
item
of
business
was
granting
the
Planning
and
Zoning
Department
the
right
to
remove
junk
or
illegally
stored
vehicles,
and
also,
in
this
case
not
some
graffiti
Council
approved
those
three
properties
for
being
addressed
from
our
community
development
office.
Otherwise
that
concluded
the
council
meeting
for
November
force.
If
you
have
questions
on
these
items,
anything
else
don't
hesitate.
To
give
me
a
call.
My
number
437,
nine
nine
four
one
otherwise
have
a
great
day.
