From YouTube: 4/15/19 - Council Meeting recap Craig Clark
Description
City of Austin, Minnesota
A
Of
business
was
awarding
bids
for
different
street
projects.
First,
one
was
6th
Street
northeast.
The
assessment
totals
residents
in
there
didn't,
like
those
totals
so
ended
up.
Council
rejected
the
bids
for
that
project
and
there'll
be
no
assessments.
As
far
as
that
project
is
concerned,
we
awarded
a
bid
to
Yulin
brothers
for
to
supply
our
bituminous
material,
which
is
asphalt
for
patching
and
road
projects
in
there
in
the
community.
These
are
the
ones
done
by
the
city.
A
Specifically,
we
also
awarded
the
6th
Street
than
11th
Avenue
Northwest
bids
were
in
for
that
one
Newland
Brothers
got
the
bid.
It
was
a
little
bit
over
the
engineer's
estimate
project
total
one
million
three
hundred
forty
four
thousand
dollars
roughly.
This
is
the
second
year
of
that
project.
In
this
area
we
also
awarded
a
bid
for
removal
of
the
Baldwin
lift
station
sixth
Avenue
Northwest
Mellon
overlay.
A
The
bid
went
to
elk
or
moving
on.
We
had
a
change
order,
we're
trying
to
clean
up
the
waste
water
treatment
plant,
forgive
the
pun
for
future
improvements
out
there.
We
needed
a
get
rid
of
a
Lowell
rate,
filter
building
demolition
contractors.
Twenty
two
thousand
five
hundred
we
also
looked
at
that
makes
the
new
total
there
two
hundred
and
nine
thousand
dollars
after
we
did
a
change
order
for
that
project.
A
We
approved
a
farm
lease
on
the
cook
farm,
also
known
as
Creekside
business
farm
out
north
of
town
we've
approved
at
least
four
with
Anderson
farms
for
five
thousand
four
hundred
forty
dollars.
We
also
approve
sale
of
Public
Works
equipment.
We
have
to
do
that
anytime,
we're
selling
any
public
property
and
we'll
sell
that
at
the
police
auction.
We
also
awarded
a
contract
for
removal,
M
Hoff,
building
at
the
wastewater
treatment
facility,
again
clearing
the
way
for
future
upgrades
out
there.
A
This
was
a
1930s
building
and
that
also
went
to
cook
incorporated
who
did
the
one?
Also
on
the
council
agenda
this
evening
we
approved
not
doing
the
audit
for
the
blazing
star
trail.
We
had
a
limited
amount
of
funds
in
there
with
the
city
of
Albert
Lea
and
because
of
the
limited
amount
and
no
activity,
or
we
requested
not
having
to
do
an
audit
with
the
council
and
they
approved
that
and
we
sold
some
temporary
fencing.
We
also
had
a
couple
sign
appeals.
A
One
of
them
we
removed
from
the
agenda
will
be
able
to
approve
that
administrative
Lea
for
the
Ford
and
Dodge
dealership
out
on
West
Oakland,
and
then
we
also
approved
a
sign
for
two
key
apartments
there
over
by
the
Community
College.
We
also
had
a
settlement
agreement
with
a
police
officer
for
the
City
of
Austin,
as
well
as
sanitary
sewer
award
down
in
the
bandshell
Park
area.
A
We
want
to
eliminate
sewer
down
there
that
was
serviced
them
for
service
former
homes
down
in
that
area
and
that
can
help
eliminate
some
of
the
inflow
and
infiltration
called
I
and
I,
which
is
just
water
into
the
sewer
system.
That
makes
it
costly
for
us
to
treat
council
prove
that
in
the
amount
of
two
hundred
and
thirty
thousand
dollars,
otherwise
that
pretty
well
rounded
out
the
council
meeting
appreciate
you
taking
the
time
again
to
learn
about
the
council
activities.
