From YouTube: City Council Meeting - 6/6/22
Description
City of Austin, MN
A
Good
evening,
everyone
tom,
could
you
please
take
the
role.
Please.
D
D
A
E
A
Opposed
motion
carries
I'd
like
to
introduce
at
the
end
of
the
diaz.
Here
we
got
stephen
yanger,
our
newest,
honorary
council
member
he'll,
be
with
us
for
the
next
three
months
and
I'm
sure
he'll
be
a
value.
Add
welcome
stephen
welcome
item
number
three
under
recognition's
award.
We
have
a
proclamation
in
honor
of
chris
fadness,
I'd
like
to
read
and
then
chris,
you
can
step
forward
and
take
this
gracefully
make
a
nice
speech.
A
It's
about
providing
opportunities
for
young
men
to
play
sports
and
stay
away
from
drugs
and
alcohol.
It's
about
providing
incentive
to
go
to
school
and
maintain
passing
grades.
It's
about
learning
how
to
work
as
a
team.
It's
about
learning
how
to
handle
adversity,
it's
about
learning
how
to
handle
success
and
failure.
A
It's
about
preparing
young
men
for
the
future,
while
quietly
and
humbly
instilling
in
them
integrity
and
self-discipline,
and
whereas
he
will
be
remembered
for
his
tenure
at
austin,
high
school
and
chris
fads,
k,
fad
coach
teacher
leader,
mentor
and
friend,
and
whereas
his
leadership
of
young
people
on
and
off
the
court
and
his
benefits
to
the
community
through
coaching
will
be
greatly
missed.
And
now,
therefore,
I
stephen
king
mayor
of
city
of
austin
minnesota
to
hereby
proclaim
march
in
austin
minnesota
as
march
fadness.
E
A
A
I
don't
think
it
had
anything
to
do
with
our
women's
0127
record.
Maybe
it
did
not
sure,
but
so
I've
known
fads
who
got
introduced
to
him
back
and
and
when
he
was
at
hamlet
stu.
Maybe
you
were
a
student
coach
at
the
time.
I
don't
even
know
that
you
were
assistant
in
men's
town,
so
welcome
and
and
do
you
have
any
words
for
us
chris?
Congratulations.
I'm
just.
F
Filled
with
gratitude,
I
want
to
thank
you,
mayor
king,
thank
you,
city,
council
members,
for
this
is
a
tremendous
honor.
I
think
you're
way
too
kind.
To
be
honest,
I've
been
very
blessed
to
be
in
austin
for
the
last
25
years.
You
know
dr
meyers
julie,
espy
was
a
high
school
principal
at
the
time
and
and
al
eckman
the
athletic
director.
They
brought
me
here,
and
it's
been
a
great
place
to
for
my
family,
for
my
wife
to
raise
our
kids
and
to
be
a
part
of
this
community.
F
F
We've
had
great
players,
obviously
and
wonderful
people
to
help
out
with
our
program
as
assistant,
coaches
and
and
with
our
youth
basketball.
So
you
know
from
the
top
down
and
across
it's
just
it's
been
a
group
thing
and
while
my
name
might
be
the
one
out
there
there's
a
lot
of
people
involved
with
the
success
we've
had
so
without
them.
Obviously
we
want
to
accomplish
what
we
accomplished
and
stephen
can
attest
over
here.
Our
fast
break
club
has
done
wonders
for
our
program
over
the
past.
F
You
know
10
to
15
years,
so
that's
been
a
bit
big
part
of
our
success
as
well.
So
again,
very
grateful
and
the
media
has
really
been
nice
to
me
over
the
years
whether
it
was
chip
scoggins
at
the
scar
tribune,
but
especially
here
in
austin,
with
our
with
our
people
at
the
herald.
Eric
johnson
and
especially
rocky
halney
have
been
great
to
me
in
our
program,
so
I'm
just
filled
with
gratitude.
F
A
A
All
right
moving
on,
I
need
a
motion
for
the
consent
agenda,
so
I
moved.
Is
there
a
second.
E
A
All
in
favor
aye
aye
closed
that
motion
carries
item
number
five
under
public
hearing
is
reviewing
a
tax
abatement,
application
from
bigelow
and
lenin,
construction,
approval
or
denial
of
the
abasement.
G
H
A
G
Craig
thank
you
mayor
members,
this
hra
project
out
in
the
north
platte
subdivision,
where
they
planted
out
there
and
moved
forward
with
some
single
family
homes.
The
estimated
value
is
between
300
and
325
000.
It's
in
conformance
with
our
policy
approval
or
denial,
is
requested,
and
this
is
a
public
hearing.
Council.
A
A
J
I
certainly
can
mr
obala
moved
from
his
ward
to
a
different
address
in
austin
and
our
charter
states
that
when
someone
leaves
the
ward,
their
position
is
vacated
and
the
council
should
recognize
that
vacation
of
that
office
and
seek
to
fill
it
by
appointment.
J
So
we're
just
following
the
charter
tonight
and
having
the
council
recognize
that
mr
obama
did
submit
a
letter
of
resignation,
which
I
think
was
was
very
good
for
him
to
do
not
technically
necessary
since
the
move
itself
created
the
vacancy.
But
that's
what
brings
it
before
you
with
an
empty
spot
to
fill.
J
The
proposed
resolution
not
only
recognizes
the
the
office
as
as
vacant,
but
also
maps
out
a
little
bit
of
a
loose
timeline,
but
at
least
a
timeline
for
how
you're
going
to
go
about
selecting
an
appointment.
That
appointment
will
then
serve
until
the
the
little
over
two
and
a
half
year
years
from
now,
when
his
position
would
have
ended
with
a
new
election
anyway.
So
it
is
something
important
for
you
to
consider.
A
Okay,
so
there's
the
the
way
I
prefer
to
do.
This
is
to
open
it
up
to
to
council
to
choose
based
on
applications.
Have
people
get
a
period
of
time
which
which
they
can
submit
their
names,
and
then
that's
going
to
be
closing
on
business,
close
the
business
on
june,
20th
and
we'd
hold?
What
I
would
prefer
would
be
more
of
a
presentation
than
any
kind
of
an
interview.
A
Let
the
folks
just
present
why
they
think
that
they'd
be
a
good
council
member
and
go
with
that,
whether
we
get
five,
six
seven
minutes
for
them
to
do
that,
that'd
be
what
I
would
prefer.
We
do
have
some
conflicts
with
the
date
and
I'm
willing
to
move
that
around
a
little
bit,
so
everybody
can
be
involved,
and
so
the
date
was
kind
of
the
week
of
the
june
27th
to
july
5th.
But
I
think,
if
july
7th
works
on
thursday.
A
Does
that
get
anybody
know
tell
me
right
now
if
their
schedule
allows
for
july
7th
at
evening
sometime.
So
I
think
if
we
can
go
with
that,
then
we
would
still
have
the
it
would
open
up.
When
I
don't
even
know
when
the
position
would
be
posted
as
for
taking
applications
right
away
and
then
just
close
on
the
20th,
so
that's
how
I
anticipate
it
going
so
we'll
just
look
for
that
special
meeting
to
be
called
to
have
the
applicants
come
forward
on
july
7th
at
this
point.
I
I
ask
a
question
sure:
how
are
we
going
to
publicize
this
or
yeah
okay.
I
B
G
Thank
you,
mayor,
been
asked
by
the
city
to
help
join
several
other
entities
and
helping
with
the
cost
for
the
electrical
connection.
The
current
status
that
they've
used
for
the
festival
in
the
past.
The
state
electrical
inspect
inspector
no
longer
would
approve
that,
so
they
need
to
make
make
plans
and
move
forward
with
something
that's
more
suitable
and
safe.
G
A
Very
good,
it's
a
great
collaboration
of
other
entities
pitching
in
for
that
too,
so
counsel.
Any
questions
of
on
this
item
then
look
for
a
motion
frame
number
eight,
so
moved.
Second,
all
in
favor,
aye,
aye
aye
opposed
the
motion
carries
I'm
number
nine's
approving
a
budget
adjustment
number
three
for
the
affordable
housing
funding.
Time.
B
Excuse
me,
we
got
an
approval
for
the
eda
grant,
we're
on
number
three
sorry
we're
looking
at
using
some
funds
out
of
a
tax
income
financing
district
in
order
to
help
with
the
affordable
housing
project
out
at
just
east
of
the
post
office.
B
That
approvals
were
given
at
one
of
the
last
council
agendas
or
council
meetings.
So
this
we'd
like
to
formally
authorize
that
transfer
as
part
of
a
budget
adjustment.
We
won't
actually
make
that
transfer
till
year
end
once
we
see
how
much
is
in
those,
but
this
would
allow
us
to
make
that
budget
transfer
approving
it
now
would
allow
us
to
make
a
transfer
at
the
end
of
the
year.
A
B
B
Budget
adjustment
number
four
will
set
aside
funds
to
the
amount
of
one
million
four
hundred
and
twenty
one
thousand
two
hundred
fifty.
This
would
be
the
city's
portion
of
the
match
for
a
project
infrastructure
project
out
of
the
creekside
business
park.
We
had
fund
balance
set
aside
or
discussed
in
last
year's
funds
because
of
the
arpa
and
the
karazak
money
that
has
pushed
our
fund
balance
to
a
higher
level
with
the
intent
that
some
of
that
would
be
used
for
that
project
out
there.
A
Questions
council,
if
none
looking
for
a
resolution,
problem
number
ten,
so
move
the
resolution.
K
A
B
B
Yes,
the
city
of
austin
has
a
senior
deferral
application.
An
individual
has
applied
based
on
our
ordinance
and
the
statute
that
allows
them
to
defer
principal
and
interest
payments
until
at
such
time
the
house
is
sold.
B
B
C
B
The
interest
rate
is
in
essence,
to
approximately
two
percent
above
the
rate
of
bonds.
If
we
were
to
issue
debt,
so
we
work
with
baker,
tilly
who's,
our
financial
advisor,
formerly
springstead,
for
them
to
in
essence,
estimate.
What
is
that
interest
going
to
be
rate
at
at
the
time?
We'd
issue
debt-
let's
usually
say
mid-year,
so
they've
projected,
and
it's
really
screwy
not
screwing.
Now,
because,
if
you
see
interest
rates
are
just
going
up
significantly,
but
that's
their
best
guesstimate
as
to
what
the
rates
would
be,
they
estimated
between
one,
seven,
five
and
two
percent.
B
Well,
we
add
two
percent
ourselves
for
that,
for
administrative
costs,
etcetera
and
to
handle
the
fluctuation.
That's
why
we
came
up
with
three
three
point:
seven,
five
percent
on
all
our
street
projects.
What
will
it
actually
be
because
this
is
a
bond
issue-
would
be
a
15-year
bond
issue.
So
it's
not
like
well,
what's
the
the
rate
today
for
one
year,
it's
what's
the
rate
on
a
15-year
payment
plan.
B
So
sometimes
we
might
you
know
if
rates
continue
to
climb,
we
might
be
in
essence
at
a
loss
here
and
that
the
rate
might
be
five
percent
six
years
out
from
now
that
we
could,
it
would
be
we'd,
be
issuing
debt
on,
but
we've
only
locked
in
at
375..
Well,
at
some
point
you
just
have
to
make
that
decision,
but
the
policy
policy
is
basically
two
percent,
approximately
two
percent
above
the
rate
of
what
we'd
issue
debt
for
we
don't
issue
debt
for
these.
B
A
Thank
you
tom,
so
looking
for
a
a
resolute
resolution,
I
remember
11.
so
I'll
move
the
resolution.
Second
time.
A
B
Take
all
the
electronic
equipment
that's
mounted
under
there
put
it
on
the
table,
separate
the
table,
the
audio
visual
company
that
epa-
that's
put
this
in-
has
given
us
a
quote
of
2009
2688.
To
do
such
our
own
staff,
brian
mason,
would
take
the
thing
apart.
The
podium
apart,
but
more
than
likely
we'll
have
to
take
that
to
like
a
jones
cabinets
to
get
four
new
legs
put
on
it.
I
guess
this
would
allow
it
to
just
have
the
podium
turned
in
the
event
that
we're
having
the
transition
over
there.
A
Okay
sounds
good,
and
could
they
all
someday
replace
this
bulb
above
my
head?
That
makes
me
sweat
with
a
led.
I
A
H
A
L
It's
a
very
important
document
that,
by
adopting
here
tonight,
will
help
it
carry
forward
through
future
staff
and
maintenance
folks
here
at
the
city
of
austin,
and
it's
a
requirement
of
fema
to
make
sure
that
we
have
this
document
in
place
and
that
we're
taking
care
of
our
investment
to
meet
their
criteria.
So
with
that,
we
would
recommend
approval
of
this
operations
manual.
B
A
M
Mayor
and
council,
those
of
you
who
have
been
here
since
2016
may
find
this
a
little
bit
familiar.
Our
interim
use.
Provision
of
the
zoning
code
was
changed
during
our
most
recent
update,
one
item
being
that
it
would
only
be
allowed
in
certain
districts
upon
further
review,
I
believe,
and
talking
to
mr
byram.
He
agrees.
M
M
M
She
intended
to
only
be
doing
that
for
about
three
years
while
she
was
staying
with
her
mom
and
then
would
no
longer
be
doing
that
at
that
location.
So
a
conditional
use,
though,
would
follow
the
land
and
would
be
essentially
permanent
if
they
got
a
conditional
use
permit.
So
in
some
instances
it
just
doesn't
make
sense
to
do
the
you
know
the
long
term
permit
versus
the
short
term.
M
It
would
be
also
for
uses
that
would
be
presently
judged
acceptable,
but
maybe
with
anticipated
development
or
redevelopment
may
not
be
acceptable
several
years
down
the
road,
so
something
along
those
lines
as
well,
but
people
are
creative
and
sometimes
we
just
have
gaps
in
our
ordinance
that
maybe
we
want
to
have
some
flexibility
to
be
able
to
allow
something
that
is
okay
now
and
you
can
review
it
and
make
that
determination,
but
that
might
not
be
okay
in
the
future.
A
E
A
All
in
favor,
aye
opposed
motion
carries
14b
is
for
adoption
of
the
ordinance
so
moved.
Second
tom.
A
C
A
Opposed
motion
carries
15b
is
located
at
808
10th
avenue
southwest
the
ernst
property
need
a
motion
so
moved.
N
A
D
A
A
A
O
Schmidt
1200
20th
street
northeast
in
austin,
I'm
speaking
on
behalf
of
austin
windshield,
plus
my
business.
I
think
most
of
you
know
where
I
relocated.
Last
year
on
10th
drive,
10th
drive
southeast
between
kind
of
between
trimbles
and
queen
of
angels
church
and
our
family
owned
that,
and
then
you
know
decades
ago,
and
then
bundy
auto
parts
were
our
friends.
They
were
next
door
too,
and
for
decades
our
customers
could
park
in
front
of
our
businesses.
O
O
I
think
there
was
an
accident
on
the
intersection
down
there,
where
the
four-way
is,
where
you
take
a
right
to
go
to
buffy
the
cow
so
because
of
that
accident,
somebody
decided
that
we
needed
no
parking
signs,
put
up
right
in
front
of
our
businesses
right
there,
which
forced
us
to
either
park
right
in
front
of
well.
My
legal
parking
area
is
only
as
wide
as
a
facade
in
my
building,
so
my
two
vehicles,
plus
some
some
customers
vehicles.
O
They
can't
all
fit
there
sure
we
can
park
in
front
of
danny's
bar
because
they're
friends
of
ours
and
for
now
they
don't
really
care.
Hopefully
that
gets
tore
down.
That's
a
whole
other
issue,
but
anyway,
so
about
two
months
ago,
one
of
the
officers
in
town
came
and
told
me.
I
had
to
move
my
van,
so
the
legal
place
we
have
to
put
our
vehicles
now
tim's.
My
neighbor
on
that
stretch
too,
is
to
the
left
of
that
curb
right
on
tenth
drive.
O
So
that's
that's
where
I'm
I
have
to
park
my
vehicle.
If
I
want
to
leave
room
for
customers
in
my
other
vehicle
which
blocks
the
view
of
the
stop
sign
on
the
intersection
that
everybody
is
concerned
about.
So
it's
it's
not,
in
my
opinion,
using
common
sense,
forcing
our
vehicles
to
left
to
block
that
stop
sign.
So
if
it
ever
comes
up
where
things
are
going
to
be
changed
in
that
area
soon,
what
you
hear
might
because
that
intersection
is
a
concern.
O
I
would
just
appreciate
it
if
those
who
make
the
decisions
consider
that
situation
and
maybe
take
those
little
no
parking
signs
and
flip
them
or
take
them
down,
and
if
the
concern
is
that
it's
easier
to
plow
snow
within
that
city
side
street.
Well,
you
know
we
do
the
same
thing.
Everybody
does
in
town
on
odd
days
and
even
days
you
move
your
vehicles,
so
I
personally
don't
think
that
should
be
an
issue.
A
Thank
you.
Terry.
I've
come
to
learn
that
the
engineering
engineers
office
is
doing
comprehensive
study
of
that
area
that
intersection.
I
know
I've
been
involved
in
several
emails
between
our
police
chief
and
engineer
that
have
been
told
that
by
june
20th
they'd
have
some
kind
of
a
presentation
to
counsel
at
a
work
session,
of
some
kind
of
a
comprehensive
look
at
that
intersection,
which
I
hope
would
include
the
parking
as
well
all
right.
Yes,.
A
P
We
we
actually
thought
we
were
going
to
be
on
on
the
agenda
to
talk
about
possibly
adjusting
the
ordinance
for
sidewalk
seating.
P
But
we're
hoping
you
know
that
you
know
given
what
the
that
study
that
was
done
early
on
with
the
they
recommended.
You
know
the
first
thing
they
looked
at
was
parklets
in
on
main
street,
get
some
people
on
main
street
so
and
apparently
we're
going
to
try
to
stick
around
for
the
work
session
and
talk
a
little
bit
about
that.
A
H
Yeah
we
looked
at
through
impact
austin
a
shared
model
and
with
minnesota's
liquor
laws.
Basically,
you
couldn't
make
that
happen.
Unfortunately,
so
once
once
there
was,
it
was
deemed
not
legal
for
the
ability
for
folks
to
bring
alcohol
onto
the
parkway.
I
think
we
just
kind
of
realized.
It
wasn't
probably
a
viable
project.
At
that
point,.
P
A
C
Yeah,
I
know
I
mean
we've
had
conversation.
I
think,
coming
back
with
a
formal
proposal,
be
good,
because
I
think
we
learned
with
covid
definitely
a
level
of
interest,
whether
it's
velocity
group
there's
a
level
of
interest,
and
so
I
know,
there's
state
laws
and
stuff
that
we
can
and
can't
do.
But
I,
for
one,
would
definitely
be
interested
in
looking
at
how
we
make
some
of
this
work.
Q
Brian
preble,
I'm
over
in
albert
lee,
minnesota
705
glenview
albert
lee,
I'm
a
co-owner
in
the
cooperative.
I
think
I've
talked
to
a
few
of
you
on
the
board
in
yourself
as
well.
Craig.
What
I've
got
here
is
we're
starting
off
kind
of
with
the
actual
cafe
license.
That's
in
place
right
now.
The
ordinance
I've
also
been
in
contact
with
mr
michael
mcmanus
who's,
the
supervisor
regulatory
investigations,
alcohol
enforcement
division.
Q
We
started
talking
about
this
back
in
august
of
last
year.
What
he's
basically
said
here?
He
gave
us
some
verbiage.
I
had
met
with
mike
and
paul
previously,
and
we
kind
of
discussed
this
one
of
the
things
that
came
up
in
this
letter.
They
were
saying
that
you
needed
to
have
sale
and
or
lease
of
the
sidewalk.
Q
I
went
back
after
our
meeting
and
we
talked
to
mike
again
you'll
see
that
farther
back
I've
highlighted
he
says
the
city.
This
isn't
a
state
issue,
it's
whether
the
city
would
like
to
grant
us
the
option
to
have
outdoor
seating.
It's
totally
up
to
the
to
the
council
in
the
city
to
approve
that
and
to
find
out
the
final
thing
that
I've
done
is
taken.
Q
The
existing
cafe
ordinance
made
modifications
anything
that's
in
yellow
I've
crossed
out
which
basically
pertains
to
the
word
sidewalk
cafe,
or
food
and
inserted
what
we
feel
would
be
a
very
cohesive
for
anybody
looking
to
have
outdoor
seating,
we're
trying
to
write
this,
not
just
so
everybody
can
get
it
we're
excluded,
because
we
don't
have
and
do
not
want
to
serve
food
because
of
our
location.
We
have
some
other
great
restaurants
near
us.
Q
We
want
to
support
them,
but
we're
trying
to
write
this
so
that
if
you
distill
your
own
spirits
or
brew
your
own
beer,
you
can
have
seating
outside
okay,
so
we'll.
C
R
You
by
tim,
I
came
in
support
of
my
friend
here
and
the
intersection
that's
been
in
dispute
and
there's
a
lot
as
far
as
a
study
being
done.
Now.
It's
gonna,
the
results
are
gonna,
be
so
skewed
because
now
school's
out
and
your
major
traffic
and
repetitive
issues
are
when
their
buses
in
school
and
kids
are
walking.
Now,
there's
no
kids
walking
not
as
much
traffic,
and
so
any
kind
of
results
that
you
get
and
base
information
on,
isn't
going
to
be
reflective
of.
R
What's
been
going
on
for
the
last
10
years
that
I
can
statistically
tell
you,
you
know
what
happens,
what
time
of
the
day,
how
many
kids,
what
side
and
offer
some
real
world
recommendations
to
make
it
work
painted
sidewalks
kids,
then,
would
know
where
to
walk
a
red
light
that
would
flash,
so
the
people
would
know
when
to
stop.
When
people
were
there
not
just
a
flashing
light
that
looks
like
a
stop
light
that
doesn't
work.
R
If
the
kids
don't
press
it,
a
speaker
that
works
and
starts
out
in
english,
not
just
in
spanish,
for
the
kids
that
are
having
to
press
the
button
and
then
walk
six
to
eight
feet
before
they
even
start
to
get
to
the
street.
Because
of
the
position
of
where
the
button
is
on
the
east
side
of
the
road,
there's
many
different
things
that
could
be
done
and
I
think
just
making
another
analysis
after
it
was
great
that
we
raised
a
stop
sign
after
the
last
time.
R
A
N
A
Wife
said
I
see
this
coming,
I
see
it
coming
like
a
block
away.
He
was
just
buried
in
that
phone,
so
people
do
they
drive
they
bike
whatever
and
I
get
it,
but
we'll
do
our
best
in
making
that
analysis
and
making
that
intersection
be
more
safe.
I
guess
if
you
will
and
operational,
but
so
the
kid
didn't
get
hurt,
we
stopped
he's
all
fine.
The
car
was,
you
know,
maybe
a
little
scratch
here
and
there
for
that
owner,
but
it
was,
you
could
just
see
it
coming.
A
So
thank
you
guys
on
to
honorary
council
member
comments.
I
don't
know
if
steven
knew
that
he
was
going
to
have
comments,
but
any
comments
from
you,
mr
yanger.
G
K
K
A
G
We
have
the
league
of
minnesota
cities
coming
up
on
the
22nd
through
24th.
I
haven't
heard
other
members
of
interest
of
that.
If
there's
anybody
on
the
last
call
for
that,
let
us
know
we
have
emerald
ash
borer
in
the
community
david
merrill's,
going
to
give
us
some
information
on
that
here
and
stephen
lang
has
an
item
as
well.
S
S
S
We're
not
going
to
do
anything
yet
we're
going
to
let
the
trees
stand
where
they
are
and
then
any
remediation
would
be
done
in
the
fall
and
there's
a
webinar
that
this
that
the
citizens
can
check
out
on
wednesday
this
week
and
then
we're
gonna
follow
up
with
the
paper
and
social
media
later
this
week
with
a
little
bit
more
customized
information
related
to
the
citizens
of
austin.
But
I
think
everyone
kind
of
knew
that
this
was
coming,
that
it's
been
here.
S
It's
not
a
huge
surprise,
but
it's
going
to
have
an
impact
on
people's
homes
and
the
city
and
everything
else,
but
we'll
communicate
with
everyone
clearly
and
we'll
get
through
it.
On
the
other
end,
we
missed
the
grant
cycle
for
this
year
to
to
do
some
of
this,
but
there's
a
lot
of
the
project
that
we
would
be
able
to
probably
use
some
grant
money
for
moving
forward
in
the
future.
L
L
So
we
started
getting
the
plans
out
to
bidders
and
letting
them
look
at
it.
They
have
about
five
weeks
to
review
the
plans.
We
had
a
walk
through
and
a
pre-bid
meeting
with
about
whoever
wanted
to
come.
It
was
last
week
and
there
were
about
10
contractors
and
suppliers
that
showed
up
at
that
meeting.
We
currently
have
37
plan
holders
on
the
project
four
or
five
of
them,
our
potential
bidders
for
prime
contractors.
L
We
have
11
subcontractors,
19
suppliers
and
two
plan
rooms,
a
big
project
like
this.
I
would
hope
that
we'd
get
up
to
somewhere
around
50
plan
holders,
with
all
the
different
disciplines
that
are
part
of
a
project
like
this,
with
mechanical
electrical
structural,
pretty
much
pretty
much
everything
down
there.
So
just
wanted
to
give
you
an
update
on
that.
We
are
planning
to
open
bids
on
june
28th.
L
We'll
probably
have
some
information
back
to
you
for
the
first
council
meeting
in
july,
but
then
we'll
continue
to
work
on
things
and
have
more
refined
costs
and
information
for
you
later
in
july
or
into
august,
is
our
plan.
So
I
just
want
to
give
you
an
update
on
that
that
continues
to
move
forward.
A
Excellent
thanks,
stephen
anyone
else,
good
we're
good,
looking
to
council
paul
anything,
nothing
here,
jason.
C
I
want
to
officially
welcome
dave,
had
an
opportunity
to
sit
down
with
him
last
week
and
very
much
excited
about
your
leadership
at
park
and
rock,
so
we're
looking
forward
to
it.
D
D
A
H
A
couple
things
first
off
a
reminder
for
everybody
that
wednesday,
from
five
to
eight,
is
fourth
avenue
fest,
which
is
kind
of
austin's
summer
kickoff.
There's
a
lot
going
on.
There's
gonna
be
dancing
live
bands,
all
sorts
of
art
demonstrations,
I'm
sure
the
library
has
something
going
on.
So
please
do
come
check
it
out.
H
So
that
was
my
first
thing
second
thing:
since
mr
lang
mentioned
our
wastewater
treatment
plant,
I
would
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
encourage
the
minnesota
lawmakers,
including
those
who
represent
us
to
please
consider
coming
back
for
a
special
bonding
session,
because
that's
going
to
be
real
money
to
the
austin
taxpayers.
If
we
don't
get
some
bonding
assistance
on
that
and
we
do
not
have
a
choice,
this
is
going
to
have
to
happen
this
summer,
so
encourage
your
legislators
to
get
together
on
a
bonding
bill.
H
H
H
A
A
E
A
D
A
All
right,
I
just
have
to
mention
that
the
hormel
institute's
celebrating
their
80th
anniversary
this
year
and
highly
encourage
council
to
be
present
at
that
ceremony
from
one
to
three
on
june
24th
at
the
hormel
institute.
It's
remarkable,
I
think
you
see
some
flags
on
main
street
now
that
are
an
advertisement
for
it,
but
I
strongly
recommend
the
council
of
support
showing
up
on
june
24th,
so
otherwise
look
forward
to
that
kind
of
special
meeting
on
july.
A
7Th
we'll
have
a
meeting
before
that,
but
just
hopefully
put
that
in
your
calendar
for
that
special
meeting,
where
the
folks
that
want
into
ward
1
to
finish
obama's
term
can
come
before
us
and
give
a
presentation.
