From YouTube: Biloxi Covid 19 Update 1 22 2021
Description
Biloxi A to Z report: Debris removal in final stages; COVID-19 numbers and vaccination information; Biloxi Cooks; Story time with Gumbo Kelly; a moment of Zen
A
A
Looking
at
this
chart,
you
can
see
over
the
77
days
the
contractor
worked
57
days.
Crews
took
off
seven
days
at
thanksgiving
and
12
days
over
christmas
and
new
year's,
and
they
also
took
off
this
past
sunday.
The
bulk
of
the
hauling
as
expected,
was
done
in
the
41
days
of
work.
In
november
and
december,
they
averaged
5
800
cubic
yards
of
debris
a
day
in
the
16
days
of
january,
as
debris
became
less
plentiful
and
less
concentrated
crews
averaged
just
over
2100
cubic
yards
a
day.
A
Don't
get
the
idea
that
all
the
debris
is
gone.
The
remaining
debris
is
mostly
small,
piles
of
leaves
or
twigs
crepe,
myrtle
trimmings
or
even
some
green
debris,
which
of
course
arrives
to
the
curb
three
months
after
the
storm.
There's
nothing
wrong
with
that.
It's
just
that
it
cannot
be
picked
up
by
the
debris
contractor
the
city's
public
works,
crews
and
pelican
waste.
The
weekly
trash
contractor
will
take
over
the
remaining
debris
on
the
right-of-way
and
they'll,
get
it
done
as
quickly
as
they
can.
A
A
Finally,
zeta's
300
000
cubic
yards
of
debris
is
a
fraction
of
the
three
million
cubic
yards
picked
up
in
the
eight
months
after
katrina,
but
we
realize
it's
a
time-consuming
and
arduous
process
anytime.
You
have
debris,
we
thank
everyone
for
their
patience
during
this
process
and
now
today's
report
on
the
coronavirus,
pandemic
and
vaccinations.
B
First,
the
latest
numbers
today,
the
mississippi
state
department
of
health
reports,
two
thousand
and
fifty
new
cases
of
the
coronavirus
and
forty
five
new
deaths
statewide.
That
brings
the
statewide
total
number
of
cases
since
mid-march
to
two
hundred
and
sixty
one
thousand
one
hundred
and
sixty-seven.
B
B
B
B
Health
care
officials
have
said
that
it
takes
time
for
the
body
to
build
antibodies
and
that
the
length
of
the
effectiveness
of
the
vaccination
is
still
being
studied,
so
continue
to
follow.
All
safety
guidelines
avoid
social
