A
A
There
were
248
new
cases
reported
in
the
past
24
hours
in
10
new
deaths.
There
have
now
been
six
thousand
three
hundred
and
forty
two
cases
of
the
corona
virus
statewide.
Since
this
all
began.
There
have
also
been
a
total
of
239
deaths
attributed
to
the
corona
virus.
In
the
past
24
hours
there
have
been
seven
new
cases
confirmed
in
Harrison,
County,
twelve
in
Jackson
County
and
one
in
Hancock
County.
No
new
deaths
were
reported
in
these
three
counties
in
the
past
24
hours.
A
The
message
today
is
a
very
important
one.
Mayor,
Gillis
says
more
and
more
people
are
growing
anxious
as
more
and
more
businesses
look
to
reopen.
People
are
watching
these
numbers
every
day
they
are
seeing
the
beautiful
weather
outside
they
are
thinking
about
Biloxi
and
the
city
that
we
are.
99
percent
of
people
are
leaning
forward
and
paying
attention,
but
the
bottom
line
is,
as
the
mayor
says,
we
do
not
want
to
give
up
on
any
of
the
ground
we
have
gained.
A
Today.
Mayor
Gillard
met
with
a
group
of
restaurant
tours.
The
discussions
are
the
same
as
the
ones
he
had
with
representatives
from
the
mall
and
Hair
Salons.
When
it
comes
time
to
reopen,
we
want
to
be
ready.
We
want
to
operate
in
a
way
where
we
know
our
residents
and
our
employees
are
safe
when
they
are
in
Biloxi.
A
You
have
been
patient
and
busy
people
have
been
busy
doing
yard
work,
no
doubt
about
it.
Pelican
wakes,
the
company
that
handles
Biloxi
and
most
of
Harrison
County
says
the
typical
workweek
averaged
275
tons
of
yard
debris
hauled
off,
that's
limbs,
bagged
leaves
and
grass
and
so
forth.
The
average
picked
up
now
is
about
500
tons
a
week.
Pelican
had
to
make
it
Saturday
pick
up
in
East
Biloxi
last
week,
just
to
get
it
all
done.
We
appreciate
your
patience.
A
We
know
that
you
want
to
go
out
to
dinner,
to
go
to
church,
to
get
ready
to
live
life
normally,
or
at
least
whatever
the
new
normal
will
be
working
through.
This
requires
patience.
We
have
that
we've
shown
it
time
and
again,
please
check
back
again
tomorrow,
we're
at
an
important
stage
right
now
continue
to
be
patient
and
continue
to
be
attentive.
On
behalf
of
mayor
Gillett
and
the
members
of
the
Biloxi
City
Council,
we
say,
god
bless
you
and
God
bless
Biloxi.

The
emerald
green
of
towering
trees
embrace
the
inexpensive
and
the
sumptuous
alight
this
area
has
become
a
center
for
both
large
and
small
conventions
chosen
for
the
year-round
favourable
climate
and
the
unusual
concentration
of
things
to
see
and
do
in
a
beautiful
seashore
setting.
They
enjoy
the
superb
facilities
and
delight
in
the
culinary
delicacies.
B
B
America's
Riviera
is
dedicated
to
fun
and
relaxation
the
slower
pace
of
life
dissolves
tension
everywhere
you
go
in
any
season.
A
warm
welcome
awaits
you
to
the
fishermen.
It's
paradise
for
Nature
has
bountifully
stocked
the
Gulf
waters
and
the
1,500
miles
of
Bay's
rivers
and
buyers
in
the
area
with
35
different
varieties
of
fish.
B
B
B
Nature's
lavish
hand
has
stocked
a
few
other
edibles
in
this
supermarket,
of
the
deep
to
catch
crabs.
Visitors
follow
the
example
of
local
residents
and
fish
from
the
piers.
Ninth
floundering
along
the
coast
has
been
popular
since
to
the
early
Indian
days.
The
catch
is
often
broiled
over
a
beach
bonfire
for
a
tasty
treat.
