project

East,

the
final
asphalt
will
be
laid
record-breaking
numbers
sales
tax
collections
in
Biloxi
continue
to
break
records.

the

We
begin
with
another
infrastructure
milestone
in
East
Biloxi,
just
the
other
day
Crews
with
knee
case
Brothers
Construction
Company
began
preparing
roads,
east
of
Oak,
Street
and
North
of
Beach
Boulevard
for
the
final
layer
of
asphalt.
The
crews
were
marking
roadways
and
checking
the
heights
of
manhole
covers
on
Thursday
morning.
The
final
layer
of
asphalt
on
those
roads
is
expected
to
begin
being
placed
next
week.

Earlier
this
week,
Biloxi
sales
tax
collections
were
reported
at
more
than
1.4
million
dollars
for
the
month
of
July.
This
marks
July
2023
as
the
highest
reported
monthly
sales
tax
revenue
in
decades,
possibly
even
in
the
history
of
Biloxi
records,
continue
to
be
met,
monthly
with
figures
eclipsing,
the
million
dollar
Mark
for
more
than
28
months
in
a
row.

Talks
continue
regarding
a
new
East
Biloxi
Community
Center
with
the
project
moving
forward.
Renderings
have
been
completed
and
it
is
now
in
the
design.
Phase.
Plans
are
for
the
more
than
three
million
dollar
building
to
be
built
on
Lee
Street
South
of
the
Salvation
Army
Kroc
Center
no
timeline
has
been
set
for
the
completion
of
the
plans
or
for
the
construction
of
the
building.

a
slight
chance
of
showers
Sunday
evening,
but
otherwise
plenty
of
sunshine.
The
Biloxi
gun,
show
bring
your
gun
and
trade
for
the
gun.
You've
always
wanted
see
hundreds
of
displays
of
guns,
ammo
gun
parts
and
related
items
at
discount
prices.
This
event
takes
place
Saturday
and
Sunday
at
the
Mississippi
Coast
Coliseum,
or
come
on
out
to
Edgewater
Mall
Saturday
from
11
to
3
for
a
meet
and
greet
with
the
Teenage
Mutant
Ninja
Turtles
guests
are
welcome
to
get
their
faces,
painted
and
take
pictures
with
the
turtles
at
this
free
family
event.

The
Mississippi
Coast
historical
and
genealogical
Society
is
sponsoring
a
Biloxi
fire.
Museum
fish
fry
fundraiser
on
Saturday,
from
11
A.M
to
1pm,
free
tours
of
the
museum
and
a
society
meeting,
will
also
be
part
of
the
event.
Catfished
plates
include
potato
salad,
baked
beans
and
bread
at
ten
dollars
per
plate,
and
all
proceeds
are
to
benefit
the
fire
Museum
tickets.
