This
is
being
recorded

Monday

the
11th
2020

p.m.
today,
the
Mississippi
State
Department
of
Health
reports
that
in
the
past
24
hours,
173
new
cases
of
the
corona
virus
were
diagnosed
throughout
the
state.
The
department
also
reports
5
new
deaths.
This
chart
shows
you
the
overall
total.
Since
the
crisis
began.

In
Jackson
County,
one
new
case
of
the
corona
virus
was
reported
and
no
new
deaths
in
Hancock
County,
no
new
cases
and
no
new
deaths
were
reported.
A
number
of
scheduling
matters
were
announced
this
morning
during
the
mayor's
weekly
staff
meeting
the
Monday
morning.
Meeting
involves
department,
directors
and
key
personnel
touching
base
via
teleconference.

Here
are
the
scheduling,
announcements,
community
development
director
Jerry
krill,
announced
that
staff
is
planning
to
resume
a
host
of
public
meetings.
The
development
review
committee
begins
meeting
this
week.
Community
court
will
have
its
first
session
on
June
10th.
The
Planning
Commission
will
have
its
first
meeting
since
mid-march
on
June
18th
and
the
architectural
and
historic
review
commission
will
meet
on
June
25th.
The
meetings
will
be
held
at
the
auditorium
in
the
community
development
building
on
Martin
Luther
King
Boulevard.

However,
please
note
that
the
meetings
will
be
limited
to
those
who
have
business
on
the
agenda.
Social
distancing
will
be
in
place
and
seating
will
be
limited
and,
although
Municipal
Court
resumed
sessions
this
morning
at
the
Lopez
qwave
Public
Safety
Center
mayor
Gillett,
said
this
morning
that
he
expects
non-emergency
municipal
offices
in
Biloxi
to
remain
closed.
To
walk
in
traffic,
at
least
until
after
Memorial
Day,
as
we've
said,
you
can
do
business
with
the
city,
but
do
it
by
phone
by
email
or
through
the
city's
website.

remember
that
the
city's
two
swimming
pools
and
for
splash
pads
are
still
closed
at
this
time.
